@bondedfatesâ asked: đ kaede to maki...... / hold my museâs hand
     â..Huh?â
The sudden touch to her hand nearly has her drawing it back in shock, only for the pianist to be faster to hold it. She...doesnât get this. Why is Akamatsu doing this? Sheâs...sheâs not someone that deserves something like this. Maki isnât as good of a person as the other would like to think. Sheâs an assassin, sheâs killed people and even if she had her reasons for being one it...doesnât make it any better.
So then why? Maki expected to be pushed away, feared, hated for the person that she is and yet...sheâs not. For this to be happening is...something she didnât expect. But then again, itâs Akamatsu of all people. The pianist was so optimistic, so friendly and she believed in everyone. So maybe itâs not too far out of left field for this to be happening.
Hesitantly, her hand shifts ever so slightly enough to hold hers more properly. Itâs...warm, she has to note. Warm and soft but also comforting...she really never realized how this could feel. She doesnât hate this feeling but itâs...not something sheâs used to. But still, sheâs glad for this.
â...Thanks. For...not pushing me away. I donât get why youâre doing this but youâve always been stubborn, havenât you?â Always stubborn, always believing. Like a certain idiot. â...Donât change from that, okay? And...do you mind if we stay like this for just a little bit longer?â Itâs selfish but...she doesnât want this warm feeling to disappear so soon.

âNo problem.â He quite likes working with this one, heâs decided. Sheâs peppy but perfectly capable--sheâs fun. âWatching backs is what I do. Speaking of--â Another arrow arcs in and is sliced neatly off its course by Durindana to land harmlessly in the grass some feet to their right. He fairly confident where the shooter is, but wonât throw the lance just yet. â--Letâs keep pressing forward. Weâll get bogged down if we worry too much about clearing out every enemy here.â
