Best places to run into players in Jersey or Philly? is that weird to ask…. Honestly feel like I’m so oblivious I wouldn’t even notice if a player was in the same place as me lol

i don’t think it’s a weird ask. i think if you said where do they live, i’d be concerned, but asking for public places? that’s totally fine to me 🤷‍♀️

in philly:

- 100% barstool sansom street. jamie and cam are there so much people joke they secretly own it. it’s a really easygoing bar, good food, very laid back environment, and most younger philly athletes like it for that reason.

- any games for other Philly sports teams. the flyers’ guys are pretty frequent fliers of phillies games, and 76ers games, eagles games sometimes but they’re usually up in the famous people suites lol

- pretty much every nice/boujee bar in the city

in nj:

- philly players are all over the surrounding suburbs out there, they’ll usually be seen everywhere in the wealthier suburbs of philly in south jersey (alec bohm, brandon marsh, and bryson stott from the phillies are seen around a few towns out there all the time, for example)

- any bar or restaurant in jersey city, hoboken, and the surrounding cities that are all clumped together right across the river from manhattan

- there’s a lot of parks, and pickleball courts, and outdoor areas on the water, the guys will usually walk there (outdoor kings), especially if they have dogs

honestly i stumble across athletes when i’m not trying to, and have been somewhere and not even realized oh, fuck, that’s jack behind me for, like, several minutes before i see him and then go chat with him. we’ve all got that that’s-an-athlete blindness sometimes! 😭

Relief flooded him as he saw her for the first time all summer, they had been through so much the previous few years, with him nearly dying, losing Dumbledore, Horcrux hunting. It was too much. Yet here she was, safe and sound, the battle over, Voldemort defeated.

He didn't hesitate to pull her into his arms the second he had a chance, the moment they were alone, without Harry or Ron to bother them. " I've missed you" he breathed into her neck, taking in her scent. He was surprised when she stiffened in his arms, and he pulled away, looking at her assessingly.

"What's wrong Love" he asked, cupping her cheek gently, stroking her soft skin.

"it's over Sirius"

Those words froze his blood, "Love, Hermione, what are you talking about?" he asked. Surely, she didn't mean their relationship.

Sure, they had been keeping it secret from everyone, Hermione afraid of Ron and Harry's reaction, but they had loved each other for two years now.

Surely, surely, she didn't mean they were over.

"I'm sorry Sirius" she whispered the words "I can't keep doing this, can't keep hiding this from my friends."

"Then we tell them" he responded instantly "I'm not going to lose you. Not now that I can finally, finally be with you. The fighting is over, you are safe, we are safe. We can be together now. " He placed a kiss on her forehead, noticing her eyes filling with tears.

"Don't make this harder than it is" she whispered.

"You aren't serious." he replied, his heart feeling like it was being crushed. He let her go, his fear and anger causing him to move away from her to pace in front of her.

"Why Hermione, tell me why" he demanded stopping in front of the curly haired witch that he loved.

"I don't love you" she whispered.

There it was the words that broke his heart into a million pieces. "What?" he asked, clearly, he had misheard.

"I'm sorry Sirius, but I can't be with you anymore." she whispered.

"Why the hell not?" he demanded, standing in front of her "It was just a few weeks ago that you were excited to be back here with me. What changed?"

Hermione said nothing, looking down at her feet. Sirius wasn't having her silence though, he tilted her chin up so she was staring into his eyes.

"What Changed" he demanded.

She didn't answer, but she didn't have to. He knew what had changed. Could feel it in his very bones. He thought back on dinner, on how Harry had been paying particularly more attention to Hermione. The innocent touches, the glances.

"He confessed to you" he answered for her. He dropped her chin "and you feel the same?"

Hermione looked up then, shaking her head "No, he's like a brother to me" she admitted "but if he finds out about us, he will be hurt. We have to stop. We can't hurt him"

"He's a big boy Hermione. he'll get over it. He's young, he will find someone else."

"So could you," she responded, her voice breaking at the words "now that you are free, pardoned, you can have any woman you want."

"The one I want is you."

"I can't do this Sirius. I can't argue with you. This is hurting me too alright? i don't want this but we have no choice. We are over. I'm done" She took a step back from him, turning her back on him, heading towards the door.

"Don’t you dare just walk away right now!"

Hermione turned around and faced him again, a glare on her face "Or What Sirius?" she asked defiantly, tears running down her cheeks still.

"I'll tell him about us."

"You wouldn't"

"Tell me Hermione, who do you think he would choose? His friend of eight years or the only family he has left." Sirius asked

"It'll hurt Harry to find out. That's why I'm walking away Sirius; don't you understand that? I don't want to hurt anyone."

"You think you aren't hurting someone by walking away right now?" Sirius replied, closing the distance between them. He grasped her shoulders and gave her a soft shake, "Don't you see how you are shredding my heart right now?"

Hermione paused, looking up at him, tears in her honey brown eyes. "If Harry finds out he would be hurt" she whispered again.

"If Harry doesn't find out from us he would be hurt" Sirius corrected "I'm ready to go public as soon as you are love." he cupped her face, resting his forehead against her own. "I'm not willing to let you go. Ever."
