okay here are my thoughts about genshin at the moment. i have been not making this post for a little bit because it. pisses me off.

I don't know what the fuck they think they're doing with these characters. HONESTLY. yes the state of them was getting worse gradually. it doesn't take a genius to figure out that when part of a character's draw is how strong they are, in order to get people to buy more and more characters, they have to get stronger and stronger.

but what felt before like a gradual incline turned into a fucking cliffside when natlan dropped and mualani was released at a similar power level to neuvillette (who had just just just powercrept every other hydro dps) WITHOUT the same investment or supports he needed.

The problem I think really is not the character kits themselves. It's not that they're out of ideas. It's just that the multipliers are fucking crazy. and to be frank!! I don't think i've seen one person who is happy with the direction things seem to be going.

i can't deny that there are a lot of good older characters and i wouldn't try to. I am. and perhaps will forever be. a fischl main. (all things considered a very lucky main pick. i considered xinyan) But i am annoyed by ccs who will try to tell you that international is still perfectly abyss viable. like girl. go play international then. go play kokomi taser. go play morgana.

content that should be designed to be challenging mechanically is NOT because it's way easier and more profitable to create a situation where the game looks you dead in the face and goes. drop 2000$ for c2 mauvika and citlali and just kill the enemies before they 1-shot you. otherwise enjoy the next half hour of restarting the chamber.

the fact that they changed the rules for the chronicled wish to put shenhe on rather than let go of hu tao, especially when they have arlecchino right there to give as many regular reruns as they want, is particularly scummy. especially after over a year of shenhe not having a rerun. incredibly nasty. just a flagrant display of how little they care about the feelings of their players as compared to their bottom line.

They're a business. Whatever. That doesn't make it cool or right.

I love genshin's story. I'm concerned for its direction. I'm concerned for the writing of its characters. Maybe I'm missing something, but Mualani's hydro vision doesn't represent jack shit in terms of a duality of character. Citlali could have been absolutely fascinating but has instead been reduced to a tusundre love interest for the traveller to a degree they didn't even inflict on Ayaka. We're supposed to see playable Skirk soon-ish, which I would love to be excited about but tbh with how they handled citlali (another woman who is hundreds of years old and incredibly powerful) I am preparing myself for disappointment.

WHICH SUCKS! I love genshin! I love it! I think that it started out a good game, and that it could be a good game again. Who knows? Maybe natlan will be the character-release equivalent of inazuma's story quest: kind of bad, but with much better things after it. Maybe they'll finally start running three characters at once. Maybe Childe will come back and I will forget my troubles again. I will quit genshin once it becomes virtually unplayable, or once they start releasing doubles of the same character, whichever comes first.

tldr; natlan powercreep needs to end and i really hope they don't fumble any more characters like they did citlali, but ultimately i still really like genshin and want to know where it is going.

Sworn to Secrecy {Kachina, Kinich, and Mualani}

Advent Calendar Event!

A/N: aaah i haven't actually played that much of the natlan archon quest yet but i love this little trio!! they're so silly and have my whole heart so i hope i did them well hehe i hope y'all enjoy! :D

Summary: Kachina is working on a gift for Mualani, and when Kinich comes by, she makes him swear to keep it a secret. But Mualani will stop at nothing to get her friends to tell her what this secret is!

Word Count: 1.3k (under the cut)

Kachina scribbled across the paper, drawing out her best rendition of her and her friends celebrating together. She had finished the drawing for Kinich earlier, and was now working on the one for Mualani. They were going to be part of the gift she had put together for their holiday gift exchange, and she was very proud of what she had made up for the two of them.

For Kinich, she had put together a special spice satchel for the meat stew that he loved. It was filled with yummy spices as well as some other flavor enhancers that would make the stew extra flavorful whenever he wanted to add it in. She had also drawn out a picture of K’uhul Ajaw in the group with them with all of them hanging out in the Coatepec Mountain.

For Mualani, she had dried out some brilliant chrysanthemums and paired them with a few other flowers that she knew Mualani liked and made a lovely bouquet. Mualani had bad allergies most of the time with some flowers, but if they were dried, she could use them, which Kachina had done. For the picture, she had drawn the three of them in the Toyac Springs hanging out by the water.

She was putting the finishing details on Mualani’s gift when she heard footsteps coming up behind her. She quickly turned, covering what she was working on, and saw Kinich standing above her with a hand on his hip.

“What are you up to, Kachina?”

“Oh! Kinich! I’m working on Mualani’s gift…” Kachina let her hands move away a bit, showing Kinich what she had been working on, the bouquet of flowers right next to her art supplies. “You have to keep it a surprise though, okay? It’s for the gift exchange we’re doing!”

Kinich nodded and gestured behind him. “Then you might want to hide it or put it away somewhere. Mualani’s with me and she’s not too far behind.”

Kachina’s eyes widened and she nodded, quickly scooping up her supplies and the gift before ducking down the hill towards her bag. “Make sure not to tell her anything, Kinich! You’re sworn to secrecy!”

She had been working up on the top of a hill, but had left her bag at the bottom, which she was cursing herself for as she ran down to hide her gift. She could hear Mualani asking Kinich about where she was running off to, and could only hope that Kinich would keep it a secret for her.

As she tucked the bouquet and drawing into her bag, she heard a loud noise coming from up on top of the hill. Kachina quickly threw her bag on her back and ran back up the hill, panting as she heard the noise get louder and louder as she went. She was worried about Kinich and Mualani. Did they get ambushed?

It turns out the only person who got ambushed was Kinich. He laid on the ground, pinned on his belly as Mualani dug her fingers into his sides, drawing out loud laughter from the normally quiet boy. He banged his fists into the ground and wheezed, begging for Mualani to stop.

“M-Muahahahalani!! Stahahap it! I’m not– I’m not tehehelling you what she was– Gah!!”

“Spit it out, Kinich! Or do I need to creep my fingers up, and up, and–”

She was cut off by a frantic whine from Kinich as she went up to his ribs and wiggled her fingers against them. He screeched and laughed as clamped his arms against his sides and tried burying his face in the grass to muffle his laughter.

“Oh, are you going to tell me now, Kinich? Seems like I found a really good tickle spot!”

Mualani laughed along with Kinich, not noticing Kachina at all. Kachina hesitated, wanting to help Kinich but also knowing that if she got involved, she would likely also be on the receiving end of some tickles.

Kachina looked at Kinich and he eventually looked back at her, shaking his head. Mualani noticed him acknowledging Kachina and looked up, seeing her smaller friend.

Mualani beamed. “Oh, Kachina! Perfect timing! Kinich was just about to tell me about a little secret you made him keep! Isn’t that right, Kinich?”

“I’m not gohohoing to tehehehell you!! K-Kachinahaha, run!!”

Kachina squeaked and ran off, but she heard Kinich’s laughter quickly die out as soon as she took off. She turned her head and saw Mualani hot on her tail and gasped, running as fast as she could and ducked behind a rock formation.

She had not expected to be running for her life, let alone from the person she was making a gift for! Kachina quickly tucked the bag in a small alcove in the rocks and continued running, hoping that Mualani would not notice.

“Gotcha!!”

Kachina gasped when Mualani scooped her up as soon as she came out on the other side of the rocks, lifting her up like a trophy as she laughed victoriously. Kachina whined, demanding to be put down as Mualani obliged.

She lowered her on her back and immediately began to tickle her sides, making Kachina burst into a fit of giggles. “Muahahahalani!! Stop it!!”

“I couldn’t get Kinich to spill the beans, so now it’s your turn! What’s this little secret, Ka-chi-na?” Mualani poked at Kachina’s tummy for every syllable in her name, making her squirm and giggle.

Mualani skittered her fingers all over Kachina’s sides until she was a giggly mess, then began to squeeze at her hips. Kachina wailed, flailing her arms around as she tried to roll away from Mualani, but she kept getting pulled back for more tickles.

“I cahahan’t tell you! It’s a– It’s a surprise!!” Kachina wailed, swatting weakly at Mualani’s hands as she tried to fend off the tickly sensations.

“That only makes me want to hear it more! C’mon, Kachina, tell me!”

“You never know when to give up, do you?”

Kachina suddenly felt the tickly sensations stop and peeked open her eyes to see Mualani with her arms pinned above her head by Kinich. He saw Kachina looking and gestured to Mualani.

Kachina looked at Mualani with a hesitant grin. Mualani gasped. “You wouldn’t!”

Kinich started to poke at Mualani’s ribs, making her giggle softly and squirm. Kachina decided that if Kinich was tickling her it must be okay and joined in, sitting on Mualani’s hips. Mualani shook her head as she laughed, begging for Kachina to have mercy.

Kachina shrugged. “I think it’s only fair since you started this!”

“Nohohoho!!” Mualani protested when Kachina began to scribble her fingers all over her bare tummy, one of her most ticklish spots. Mualani threw her head back into Kinich and began to laugh loudly, protesting the whole time. “You guhuhuys! This is– This is so not fahahair!!”

“I think it was less fair for you to immediately tickle us. You had this coming, Mualani,” Kinich said, a small grin on his face.

Kachina nodded. “I was trying to keep it a surprise because it’s one of your gifts! It would only spoil our gift exchange if you knew what I was making for you!”

“I’m sohohohorry! I didn’t knohohow!!” Mualani whined, her laughter dying out when Kinich and Kachina let up. They stared at her expectantly as she collected herself, wheezing. “I thought you two were just keeping a secret from me. If I’d known it was a gift I would have left it alone!”

Kinich and Kachina exchanged a look, knowing that Mualani would have found some other reason to tickle them regardless. They let her go and she sat up, stretching her arms. “Sheesh, you two did a number on me! Okay, I won’t push the secret anymore. But Kachina…” Mualani gestured to the rock alcove where Kachina had stashed the bag. “You might want to grab your bag before a saurian gets it!”

Kachina gasped and scrambled to her feet to grab the bag, making Mualani laugh again.

Dancing

Kinich doesn’t expect to have to learn how to dance to get into an ancient Natlanese ruin with Kachina and Mualani.

Characters: Kinich, Mualani, Kachina, Ajaw Tags: Ajaw being a lil shit, as per the usual

AN: A gift ficlet for a wonderful friend of mine; she requested Kinich and dancing! And shout out to my little brother for helping me come up with this idea, and yes, it is inspired by Zuko and Aang's dance from AtLA.

Going out on expeditions with others is very rare for Kinich. By nature, he prefers to do things on his own (he doesn’t count Ajaw, that menace has to be with him, no matter what). It’s easier that way; he only has to watch out for himself.

That being said, at least this excursion had him partnered with the two people he can tolerate best: Mualani and Kachina. By using all her charisma and some very convoluted arguments, Mualani somehow convinced him to let them accompany him. When she was determined, nothing would stop her.

His current commission was to visit some ancient Natlanese ruins; supposedly, according to his employers, there was a special treasure hidden in those ruins. But since they were from outside Natlan, they felt it best to hire someone local to get the job done.

The price tag was big enough for Kinich to agree without much hesitation.

It had taken two days of traveling to get to their destination, and Kachina and Mualani had babbled most of the way about the possibilities of what waited in the ruins. Mualani had her bets on an ancient dragon guarding a horde of treasure, while Kachina felt like there might be old books or ancient murals. 

But when they finally arrived at the ruins, their first problem became immediately apparent.

There were no clues on how to open the door, and time hadn’t created any convenient openings in the stone walls or roofs, either.

Multiple attempts at elemental attacks and even Kachina’s Turbo-Twirly did nothing to get the door to open. Whatever the doors were made of, brute force wouldn't open them. And they were running out of time; the light was starting to dip below the horizon.

“HAHAA, lowly mortals!” Ajaw crowed, waving his tiny arms. “Your brains are so small and stupid, you can’t even figure out how to open this door! Truly pathetic!!”

“Then let’s see the Great K’uhul Ajaw get the door open on his own, since he clearly knows the answer.” Kinich said, his tone unimpressed.

“The Almighty Dragonlord K’uhul Ajaw will not lower himself to do the work of lowly mortals!” The pixelated saurian shrieked back, his form swelling red with anger. “Who do you think you are?!”

“So you don’t have any ideas either,” Kinich translated, smirking slightly. 

“You SCUM!! If I had my true power as the great dragon sovereign, I would burn you all in turnfire for a thousand years!!”

“While that’s a very lovely thought and all,” Mualani suddenly said, calling from across the circular courtyard where she stood with Kachina. “I think I found the way in!”

Shooing Ajaw away, Kinich made his way over to the two girls. They were staring at a plaque, long buried under foliage, that depicted several figures in different poses.

At the bottom of the plaque, Kinich could see some faded writing: “Offer your sacrifice to the dragons to be accepted.”

“What kind of offering do the dragons want?” Kachina asked, cocking her head in confusion. “That could be anything…”

“They want this,” Mualani smiled, tapping her finger against the figures. “Remember how we found those stones that sink down if you stepped on them, but they didn’t seem to do anything? My theory is that you have to follow the steps of this dance to trigger all of them in the right pattern.”

“So you think the door can be opened…by dancing,” Kinich summarized flatly. He was already getting a bad feeling about this.

“Correction, if we,” Mualani gestured between her and Kinich. “Do the dancing. Kachina’s legs are too small to hit the steps correctly. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!” She reminded the smaller girl, whose ears drooped sadly.

Kinich stared at Mualani with the most unimpressed look he could muster. Mualani was well known to leap before she looked, both literally and metaphorically, but this felt like a stretch even for her.

“C’mon Kinich! Let’s just try it once, and if it doesn’t work, you can hold it over my head forever!” Mualani wheedled. “What could it hurt?”

He didn’t have any solid retort to that, especially as they were quickly losing daylight. “Alright, fine, let’s do it.”

They took a moment to study the forms before Kinich and Mualani found themselves on opposite ends of the circular courtyard, staring at each other. Taking a deep breath and forcing down his embarrassment, Kinich nodded to Mualani and the two of them began moving through the dance forms. And with each form, Kinich felt those specific stones sink into the ground and settle with a faint “click”.

It seems that Mualani had the right idea, and she grinned at him across the way.

Careful to stay synchronized, the two of them moved their way around the courtyard while Kachina cheered them on. On the last form, the stones beneath his and Mualani’s feet moved with a “CLICK” loud enough to echo through the courtyard. 

For a moment, nothing happened. His face pinched into a frown, wondering what had gone wrong, when the ground suddenly shuddered and rumbled. Ancient mechanisms groaned deep within the temple as they slowly pulled the doors open.

Beyond, the void of the ancient ruins welcomed them; it appeared their offering had been accepted.

“You guys were amazing!!” Kachina cried, running to Mualani and hugging her waist tightly. “That was incredible to watch!” 

“Way to go, Kinich! Mualani cheered, hugging Kachina back and grinning at him. “You’ve got some moves; I had no idea you could dance!”

Clearing his voice awkwardly and trying to will the flush trying to work its way up his neck away, Kinich turned to face the door. “It was nothing,” he dismissed. “Let’s get going.”

It’s almost 50/50 but she’s verrrry tiny bit more ler

She’s probably like…an 8.5/10 on the ticklish scale

Worst spots are her tummy (obviously), her underarms, hips, and ngl I feel like her shoulders

Whenever she’s tkld, she almost never holds back her laugh

So it always comes out a loud bright cheery laugh (and it’s so pretty)

She FLAILS

As a ler she’s only sometimes mean, it depends on her lee

She’s never a mean ler with Kachina, she’s sometimes a mean ler with Kinich

Definitely loves using “the claw”

Usually to Kachina cause she gets down on herself a lot

Now I would say Mualani also enjoys getting cheer up tks, but hear me out

Instead of receiving them, I feel like if she’s down and Kinich or Kachina are in her presence, she will drag them down and wreck their shit till she felt better

She often receives wake up tks from Kinich whenever they’re traveling together

I say this bc that scene in the archon quest where Mualani was like if only we had someone who gets up early to wake us up tomorrow and Kinich was like fine

She LOOOVES doing surprise tases to her friends (usually Kinich)

She’s also quite often the victim of revenge tks

About an 8/10 on how ticklish she is

I honestly feel like she’s just averagely the same level of ticklish everywhere

Esp her sides a little more tho

Always on the receiving end of cheer up tks from Mualani or Kinich

She will never take initiative to be a ler like ever

The only time she ever lers is when it’s her and Mualani ganging up on Kinich or her and Kinich ganging up on Mualani

It will pretty much never be one on one

Maybe there’s a scenario where it’s possible but right now in my head she would not do it alone

Kachina doesn’t know she could literally murder Kinich with the gentle tks if she wanted to

She doesn’t want to tho because she’s way too nice of a ler

As a lee she definitely squirms a lot

Usually it’s Mualani who gets her and it usually doesn’t last very long

Kinich and Mualani never gang up on her in a 2 on 1 bc that’s unfair

They are caring older bro and sis

Her laugh is pretty much just giggles

She doesn’t cackle or snort and is never usually loud

She’s adorable tho and I love her

He’s about a 6.5-7 on the scale (I can’t decide which bc it really depends on if you surprise him or not)

Despite his being more of a ler, he’s never usually the first one to initiate the tks

He almost always tickles as an act of revenge (cough mualani)

Kinich for a while thought he wasn’t all that ticklish because last time someone asked the dreaded question and tickled his sides, he didn’t feel a need to react

He’s just really good at not being ticklish when he knows it’s coming (me fr)

However

Mualani asked this question and got the same lack of response to sides

But unlike previous curious people, Mualani doesn’t give up

It didn’t take long for her to find pretty much all of Kinich’s spots after that wrecking

His spots are usually normal but sometimes a little oddly placed

He’s ticklish on his underarms, back, ribs (but only the bottom two), knees, his neck but only in front, and collarbone

He’s really not that ticklish on his sides and therefore assumed he wasn’t at all because before Mualani that was the only place people ever

As a ler depending on who you are and what you did to warrant his wrath he can either be super nice or straight merciless

Which translates to super nice with kachina and merciless with Mualani

Because 90% of the time she does something

Whether it be a surprise taser on those two ribs that are too sensitive for his own good (he screams) or something as simple as a prank

He will give her the wrecking she deserves

And sure he’s merciless with her but not exactly mean

He will remind her that she brought it upon herself

As a lee tho…

I can’t tell if I like Lee or Ler Kinich more

Because Ler Kinich is perfection but Lee Kinich is adorable

He’s honestly so good at holding in his laugh but surprise attacks are his weakness (Mualani’s specialty)

Even if it’s not a surprise attack, anything on his back will get him to crack in seconds

Even when he’s laughing though he’s really good at controlling it

Good at controlling his movements too

He won’t flail like mualani and instead just kinda curl up

Protect whatever he can

Even with all his composure though it’s still possible to get him cackling

That only ever happens when it’s both Mualani and Kachina ganging up on him

The conflict between Mualani’s firmness and Kachina’s gentle scritches just makes him lose it

Sometimes Ajaw (the bastard) tells Kachina to be rougher with Kinich bc he thinks that it’s the rough tks that drive Kinich crazy

But it’s actually the soft tks that he can’t stand

I’m sorry but I just have a feeling he’s weak to gentles

Of course after times like this he will literally wreck both of them at the same time. Bc he’s still a ler at heart and he can do that

Last one and I’m pretty sure we all know this but

Ajaw will definitely sell Kinich’s worst spots to his ler with no hesitation and no remorse

He wants to see him suffer

“Welcome to the People of the Springs! Leave all your stress at the edge of one of our hot springs, and hop right in,” Mualani excitedly announced as she greeted the group of tourists from Liyue.

“Thank you for the warm welcome. I’ve been to Natlan on diplomatic voyages before, but I’ve only ever met with your archon,” the regal-looking blond responded.

“Oh, man! I’m surprised Mavuika let you miss out on some of the best local sights and experiences while you were here. It’s so exciting that my tribe gets to host such distinguished guests as the Tianquan and the infamous Captain Beidou this weekend,” the young girl exclaimed with a smile. “What brings you all here?”

“We’re celebrating this one’s birthday,” Beidou explained as she gave Yelan a firm clap on the back. The spy stumbled forward a bit and then shot a look of irritation at her gruff ways.

“Oh, that’s awesome! Celebrating is what we do best. Please follow me. I'll show you where you’ll be staying.” The group admired their surroundings as they walked behind her. For being the nation of pyro, they certainly were surrounded by a lot of water.

Mualani opened the door to the shack, and the four women looked around the surprisingly small room. Perhaps the most interesting aspect was the large bunk bed that occupied the back half of the cabin. 

“I apologize for the accommodations,” she chuckled nervously. “We’d normally give such esteemed guests the biggest hut we have, as well as standard beds. Ever since we freed the land from the clutches of the abyss, Natlan’s become the number one tourist destination in Teyvat. Thankfully the mattresses on the top and bottom bunks are large enough for two people each.”

“That’s quite alright, dear. We can make do with these. It’s not the first time we’ve had to share,” Ningguang reassured her. The young girl grinned with relief. Shenhe provided her with a small bag of mora as she had been instructed to by Cloud Retainer before leaving on this excursion. 

“Thank you for your guidance. I understand it is customary to gift those who provide excellent service a small token of monetary gratitude. Or so my master tells me.” Mualani’s eyes grew large at the weight of the pouch in her hands before thanking the group profusely and taking her leave.

Yelan sighed. She was hoping for something a bit more luxurious and private, but she’d be damned if she didn’t at least get her desired sleeping arrangement. “Shenhe and I call bottom bunk.”

“You’re the birthday girl. Whatever you wish is our command,” the captain stated as she teasingly saluted her.

They unpacked their bags and prepared for a soak in the hot spring. As Ningguang helped tie the back of Shenhe’s bikini before heading down to the water, Beidou caught Yelan’s attention.

“Psst, Ye!” The spy turned to look at her. “Wanna make this sleeping arrangement a little more interesting?”

Yelan narrowed her eyes. “Interesting how, exactly?”

“I mean, l was kinda planning on having some 'me and Ning time' if you catch my drift.”

“You’re not exactly subtle, Beidou,” she scoffed. “I was also hoping Shenhe and I would be able to…have some fun. But it seems those plans have changed.”

“And what if I told you they didn’t have to?”

Yelan cocked an eyebrow in curiosity. “Speak plainly, captain. We don’t have all day.”

“Feeling a little competitive?”

“…continue.”

“When we get back tonight, let’s see who can make their girl the loudest. Ning is in. She trusts you and Shenhe. What happens in Natlan, stays in Natlan.”

“Uh, is there something I should know? Ningguang doesn’t seem the type to be up for this kind of thing.” 

Beidou let out a deep chuckle and shook her head. “Yelan, Yelan. You have no idea the things we’ve done in public. And Shenhe was quite open on the trip over when I tried to get her to talk about you guys. Apparently, she’s not as shy as she looks.”

She hated it when the captain was right. “Fine. But let me make sure Shenhe is okay with it first,” she mumbled reluctantly.

“Yesssss! Now let’s go enjoy the water and loosen up for tonight,” she said before giving her a playful swat on the butt. “You’ve got your work cut out for ya.”

The two joined the Tianquan and the exorcist in the bubbling pool, relaxing as they chatted amongst each other. Mualani returned and set out a plethora of local delicacies with Kachina’s help. “Food’s ready, come and get it!”

Beidou gave Yelan a nod and she distracted Ningguang while Shenhe and the spy dried off. As they picked out various snacks to try, she quietly spoke to her girlfriend.

“Hey, so crazy thought, but…Beidou proposed we have a, uh, ‘vocal’ competition of sorts tonight. I understand if that’s a little much for you.”

“As in singing? I mean, I can carry a tune, but I cannot guarantee we’ll win. I’m used to the birds and beasts in the mountains as an audience.”

Yelan tried to hide her smirk at the innocence of her answer. “Um, not exactly. This is more like an…intimate vocal competition.”

The exorcist cocked her head to the side curiously. “Ah, my mistake. You mean who can make their lover moan louder?”

“Ningguang already spoke to you, didn’t she? At least it wasn’t Beidou. She has zero tact.”

Her girlfriend giggled. “Yes, she did. Does my sleepy head think she’ll be able to keep up with the boisterous captain? I have to admit, I didn’t think anyone could bring out that side of the reserved Tianquan.”

The spy leaned closer to Shenhe, the warmth of her breath tickling her ear. “Believe me, little crane - I never take a bet on a gamble I don’t think I can win.”

Turning her head, the exorcist kissed her girlfriend on the tip of her nose. “What is it you gamblers say? Ah, yes. I’m all in.” She winked at her and made her way back to the water with her meal.

Beidou threw an arm around Ningguang as the two others approached them. “Game on, captain. Just try not to cry when you lose. It’ll be much too embarrassing for you,” the spy declared.

Her competitor barked out a laugh. “Oh, you are so going down.”

“Play nice, dear,” Ning chimed in.

“Trust me, Yelan. This will be a birthday you won’t forget. I’m so sorry your gift will be you getting your ass whooped by a couple a pros.”

Having fully settled in for the night, Beidou and Ningguang climbed the ladder to the top bunk while Shenhe and Yelan got comfortable on the lower level. The only rule the group had set was “no faking it” - every whimper, moan, or groan had to be a genuine reaction to their lover’s touch.

The spy and exorcist lay facing each other as Yelan moved in to start with a simple kiss. “If you feel uncomfortable at any point, you know you can tell me. I didn’t mean to drag you into this wager with me.”

Pulling her flush against her, the spy elicited a surprised squeak of surprise from her girlfriend. Her tongue pushed into her mouth leisurely, as if trying to pry out a louder reaction. Yelan’s concentration was momentarily broken by the soft rustle of fabric hitting the floor from above.

“You two better get to stripping. Ning doesn’t last very long once I get her naked.” The captain’s comment was met with a light slapping noise.

“Beidou! Focus!”

“Yes, ma’am.”

There is no way I’m letting that pompous bitch beat us, Yelan thought. It was time to get her head in the game. Her hands slithered under Shenhe’s silky sleep tank top as her fingers trailed gently across her flesh. The exorcist let out a gasp at the sensation and begged for more between her lover’s kisses.

Suddenly, the room went frigid and the exorcist’s eyes glowed a light blue. The spy could swear she could see her own ragged breaths coming out in small puffs of water vapor. This was it. Time for the finale.

“Yelan! Fuck…coming!” Shenhe exclaimed as she arched up into her and the two women shuttered together - partly from the cold, but also from the sheer force of their simultaneous orgasm.
