Easy Tips For Starting a Terrace Vegetable Garden in India from Bagwani Nursery
Hey there! Starting a terrace vegetable garden is a fantastic idea, even if you have limited space. Here’s a simple guide to get you started:
What You Need
1. Containers: Pots, old buckets, or even plastic bottles can be used to grow vegetables.
2. Soil: Use good-quality soil mixed with compost for nutrients.
3. Seeds or Seedlings: Choose easy-to-grow vegetables like tomatoes, chilies, spinach, and herbs.
4. Watering Can: To water your plants regularly.
5. Sunlight: A sunny spot on your terrace where your plants can get at least 4-6 hours of sunlight daily.
Steps to Start Your Terrace Garden
1. Choose Containers: Select containers with drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. Different sizes for different plants work best. For example, deeper pots for tomatoes and shallow ones for herbs.
2. Prepare Soil: Mix garden soil with compost or organic manure. This makes it rich in nutrients.
3. Plant Seeds or Seedlings: Follow the instructions on the seed packet for planting depth and spacing. If using seedlings, make small holes in the soil, place the seedlings, and gently cover them with soil.
4. Watering: Water your plants regularly but don’t overdo it. The soil should be moist, not soggy.
5. Sunlight: Place your containers in a sunny spot on the terrace. Most vegetables need plenty of sunlight to grow well.
6. Support: Some plants like tomatoes and cucumbers may need support as they grow. Use sticks or trellises to help them stand.
Helpful Tips and Tricks
Vertical Gardening: Use vertical space by hanging pots or using wall-mounted planters. This saves space and looks great.
Regular Care: Check your plants daily for signs of pests or diseases. Remove any yellow leaves or unwanted pests.
Use Kitchen Waste: Compost kitchen scraps like vegetable peels and eggshells to make your own organic fertilizer.
Rotate Crops: Plant different vegetables in the same pots in different seasons to keep the soil healthy.
Easy Vegetables to Start With
1. Tomatoes: Easy to grow and very rewarding.
2. Spinach: Grows quickly and can be harvested multiple times.
3. Chilies: Great for adding spice to your meals.
4. Coriander (Cilantro): Perfect for garnishing and flavoring dishes.
5. Mint: Grows well in containers and adds a fresh touch to drinks and food.
Starting a terrace vegetable garden is fun and rewarding. If you need seeds, containers, or more advice, come visit us at Bagwani Nursery! Happy gardening!

Behind the Scenes: How Perfumes Are Made
Perfume making is an intricate art that mixes science and imagination to make the smells we all fancy. Let's reveal what goes on regarding the art-making perfume-making process. Let us take a closer look at interviewing popular perfumers and examining what it takes to run a fragrance house well. If you love fragrances or are generally interested in perfume production, then this piece will give you an in-depth analysis of the world of perfumery.
 1. Concept and Inspiration
To start creating a perfume, one can usually get an idea or be inspired by something. The sources of inspiration for ‘noses’ (another name for perfumers) differ greatly: nature, memories, emotions, art, particular places, etc. Its importance can hardly be overestimated because it determines the whole process of making perfume.
Interview Highlight: Jean-Claude Ellena Jean-Claude Ellena, a legendary perfumer,
said, “You can draw inspiration from just about anything, be it a stroll in the garden; music a distant memory – it all depends on what gets your creative juices flowing.
2. Selection of Ingredients
When the idea is well understood, one needs to choose the components required to make the product. The important components that make up a perfume are essential oils, aroma compounds or odorants, and solvents. The ingredients used (extracted from flowers, fruits, spices, woods, and resins) can either be natural or synthetic if they have been produced in a laboratory.
In the process of selecting, no stone is left unturned. Every single ingredient is picked according to its peculiar smell profile and inter-compatibility. For the fragrance to last long and be authentic in its smell, raw materials of high quality are necessary.
3. Creating the Formula
The creation of the formula is started by the perfumer after choosing the ingredients. The science and art of perfumery come together at this point. They evenly distribute the top, medium, and bottom tones by dint of their broad knowledge of fragrance classifications and molecular configurations.
Top Notes: The initial impression of the fragrance, evaporates quickly. Examples include citrus and light floral scents.
Middle Notes: The heart of the perfume, which emerges after the top notes dissipate. Common middle notes are lavender, rose, and jasmine.
Base Notes: The foundation of the scent, provides depth and longevity. These notes include wood, amber, and musk.
The perfumer will often create several versions of the formula, tweaking the balance of ingredients until the desired scent is achieved.
4. Maceration and Aging
After the formula is completed, the ingredients are mixed and then left to macerate. Maceration is an important step in the manufacture of perfumes since it allows different elements to intermingle and take up a complete smell. Depending on how complex the fragrance is, macerating it can take between a few weeks and a few months.
5. Quality Control and Testing
Quality control and testing are acting upon each perfume before releasing Best Perfume for Men in India to the market. Among these are stability tests to ascertain that the scent remains the same even on different conditions plus skin tests to determine if there are chances of getting allergenic reactions in sensitive individuals. Furthermore, they evaluate it on the sillage i.e., the trail of scent left behind as well as the longevity on the skin.
6. Bottling and Packaging
Bottling and packaging are the final stages in the production of a perfume. The bottle and packaging design is critical to the identity of perfumes because they mirror the ideas and attractiveness of Best Perfume for Women in India. Famous designers team up with luxury firms to come up with extremely attractive bottles that are wanted as much as fragrances are.
Inside a Fragrance House
Take a closer look inside a fragrance house and you will have a better understanding of how perfumes are made. The magic happens in fragrance houses; they are creative hubs for perfumers and at the same time production centers for  Best Perfumes for both Men and Women's fragrances.
Highlight: Inside a Fragrance House
Givaudan is the fourth most famous fragrance house on earth and it prides itself on its leadership in the fragrance and flavor world. Perfumers, chemists, and researchers have to work together at Givaudan to make a perfume. In the labs which are at par with the newest technology, they come up with new smells and also test them for Best Perfumes for Men.
Interview Highlight: Olivier Polge
The three forays by Olivier Polge, who has been working at Chanel as a designated perfumer, were this: creativity flourishes there. We have a large supply base of ingredients as well as access to recent technology, through which we can experiment and challenge what is regarded as normal in the industry of making the Best perfumes For Women.
Challenges in Perfume Making
Indeed, the process of crafting the Best fragrance for Men and Women is quite challenging. There is a fine line that perfumers have to walk to come up with a product that is not only original but also attractive to clients. This variability in scent profiles can also be brought about through environmental conditions that affect [~‘impact’] the availability of natural resources.
The Future of Perfumery
The Best long-lasting Perfume For Women industry is constantly changing. The advancements in technology and sustainability influence where it is headed, in terms of its structure. Synthetic ingredients, through advancement, can be engineered owing to scientific knowledge which results in new dimensions concerning their application for aroma production while at the same time, this does not negate the fact that natural products are also still being explored." "The perfume industry is constantly changing, with improvements in technology and sustainability shaping its course. Synthetic ingredients are evolving and can provide the basis for new smells in perfume production. The industry is increasingly interested in using environmentally friendly materials and applying sustainable sourcing methods."
Conclusion
A fascinating blend of creativity, science, and dedication is involved in the making of the Best perfumes in India. Every single step in the process of making a perfume is carefully designed from the beginning to the end to come up with an outstanding smell that one will always remember. But looking at a fragrance house from a different eye, and examining its operations can give one greater insight into this particular field as well as an understanding of those who create these beautiful scents.

Summer Riding in Delhi (April to June)
Summers in Delhi can be brutal. With temperatures crossing 45 degrees Celsius, venturing out during the day is never a good idea. The sweltering heat tires you easily and dehydration can set in quickly.
Tumblr media
My advice? Take your bike out for a spin either early morning or evening when the temperatures are slightly bearable. Make sure you load up on fluids -carry a water bottle and take frequent sips. Cover up against the sun - sunglasses, cap, and sunscreen are a must.
Since the roads are empty early morning, you can take a sports bike rental in Delhi for a quick round of the India Gate and Connaught Place. As the sun goes down, longer rides to Nehru Park, Lodhi Gardens, and Akshardham are enjoyable. Night rides across the city are also pleasant in the summer months.
A few early morning or late evening rides aside, I'd recommend keeping the bike parked during peak afternoon hours. Instead, consider getting a bike on rent in Delhi on short weekend trips to nearby getaways like Neemrana or Mandawa where the temperatures are relatively cooler.

7 Summer Fragrances You Need to Try
Selecting a scent designed for summers can be overwhelming since there are so many options. However, experts recommend using fresh floral or green notes for summer.
Our tolerance to bear the heat keeps declining as the temperature keeps rising. There is nothing you can stand, whether it’s the noise, people or an unpleasant smell. The scents you’ve used in springtime and winter may feel heavy during this time of the year.
The climate can be hot and sticky, which is why we should use pleasant and refreshing scents like coconut, lemon sandalwood, and lemon.
Active Care Store has got your back. We’ve put together a list of perfumes you’ll want to swear by this summer.
Here’s the list of top 7 fragrances that you’d absolutely love this summer:
1: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau De Toilette Spray For Women
Tumblr media
This gorgeous and light summer scent represents life’s excitement and the power of seduction. This is how we define Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue perfume. The aroma is a blend of fresh fruity and floral fragrances that enhances your sexuality and makes your partner down upon his knees. The top notes in this uplifting scent consist of bellflower, apple, lemon and cedarwood. They then mix in flowery notes like jasmine and rose, and bamboo. The base notes are warm, adding a mature feel to the perfume. They are composed of Musk, Amber and woody notes. Designed by the well-known French perfumer Olivier Cresp, the scent was launched in 2001. It was developed with the idea of the cool ocean breeze and the sunshine of Sicilian summers. You now know how to smell lovely as the summer season comes in.
2: Gucci Bloom Eau De Parfum Spray For Women
Tumblr media
These Gucci perfume flowers, as it says with jasmine and tuberose, are paired together with Rangoon Creeper. It is a flower discovered within South India that creates a deep scent that transports the wearer into a dream garden. It has a slightly floral scent encapsulated as the flower blooms from white, slowly turning to pink and red. Natural jasmine and tuberose provide a refreshing petal and green scent to the skin. The Gucci pink perfume is packaged inside a lacquered bottle like porcelain, with an antique pink shade that resembles the Gucci Label embossment. Blossom Edp by Gucci for women was created entirely through Alessandro Michele, whose creative vision was the catalyst for it.
3: Acqua Di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Chinotto Di Liguria EDT Unisex
Tumblr media
The perfume Acqua di Parma Chinotto di Liguria is a refreshing scent characterised by vibrant and lively top notes of mandarin and chinotto that create a distinct world of contrasts. In the heart, cardamom and rosemary give out an aroma as the fragrance’s base is rounded by musk and jasmine.
4: Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb Eau De Parfum For Women
Tumblr media
The Flowerbomb perfume by Viktor & Rolf is a scent that explodes with deliciously fresh, floral aromas with every drop. It’s feminine, bold, sensual and, at times, sexy that makes you stand out. You’ll be the centre of attention as you step into the room. If an arrangement of stunning fresh flowers was to be kept in a bottle, it would undoubtedly be Flowerbomb. The perfume contains the scent of florals like Centifolia Rose, Sambac Jasmine, Cattleya Orchid and Indian Osmanthus. Every note is lavish and makes you feel magnificent each time you put it on. The fragrance was developed by famous perfumers Olivier Polge, Domitille Berthier, and Carlos Benaim. It comes packaged in a pink diamond-shaped glass grenade designed by Fabien Baron. Whether it’s an elegant wedding of your friend, a picnic with your family, or a romantic date with your loved one, it is the perfect scent to wear and helps you present a distinct identity for your character everywhere.
5: Laurent Mon Paris Floral EDP For Women by Yves Saint
Tumblr media
The scent of this floral perfume is made up of a fragrant and bright juice that builds on the iconic datura flower and is accentuated by a flower bouquet of delicate white blossoms and juicy peaches. This fragrance begins with a sharp fruity essence made of bergamot, crisp pears, tart raspberries, and sweet peaches, one of our favourite fruity-floral perfumes. In the centre, the exquisite datura flower makes its way to exotic jasmine sambac, lifted by the magnolia essence and orange flowers and the delicate scent of peony, making it the best perfume for women in floral notes. The base of the patchouli essence and the cashmere provide the comfort of an embrace from a lover.
6: Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy EDP For Women
Tumblr media
The muse for this perfume comes from the charismatic personality of the Bang-Bang star, famous for her hit songs. The composition resembles high notes like pear, blackberry, and bergamot. The heart comprises honeysuckle, jasmine sambac, frangipani, and whipped cream that add an exotic scent to the perfume. The base is stuffed with marshmallows, cashmere wood, and vanilla, making for a highly appealing experience you will keep craving. The Sweet Like Candy Limited Edition comes inside a round bottle and a cute puff that is attached to the stopper of bubble gum pink colour. It’s an uplifting and youthful scent to wear at any time of the day.
7: Loverdose Pour Femme EDP For Women by Diesel
Tumblr media
The new, edgy fragrance by Diesel called Loverdose is described as “Love Dose” or “Love Overdose’ which signifies a potent weapon for romance and sparking passions as never before. Its top notes are mandarin and star anise beginning with a citrusy scent. The heart is awash with floral notes of jasmine, gardenia and sambac, which create a refreshing and pleasant aroma. The base composed of vanilla, amber and woody notes gives the impression of a romantic, sensual fragrance that lasts for a long time. Loverdose perfume will stimulate your senses with an insatiable desire for the love of your life. The bottle was designed to look like an ethereal heart, and diamonds were pierced by an arrow in purple. The young model Ashley Smith was the face behind this fragrance.
Pick among the best of soothing and fresh fragrances for this summer and let us know in the comments how you liked it.

Dionysian Oil
I have decided to make an oil to be used when communicating with Dionysus and his retinue, and to anoint on any workings which is done in conjunction with Dionysus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The ingredients are as follow:
Carrier/Base Oil
Frankincense
Cinnamon
Rose
(extra) Pomegranate
(extra) Pine
Carrier Oil / Base Oil Due to personal practice, I chose to use rice bran oil because rice is the main crop of Thailand, and in this case I felt urged to add a bit of "me" into the recipe, something to connect me to the local lands. As a bonus, it also has a light scent and smells nice. An alternative would be olive oil (as olives are associated with the Greeks and used as offerings) or any other oil whose scent isn't overpowering. Grapeseed oil could also be used too due to the strong connection between Dionysus and grapes.
Frankincense Explained here. It is one of the commodities whose trade is associated with Dionysus. It is also used generally to worship the Theoi.
Cinnamon Likewise, the trade of cinnamon was also associated with Bacchus, specifically during his expedition to India. To quote Bacchus: A Biography by Andrew Dalby: "It was believed later that Bacchus had brought back to the West with him the very first supplies of cinnamon and frankincense. the two most costly of ancient spices. From his time onwards, these aromatics went up in smoke in every temple, as often worshipers could afford to buy and burn them."
Moreover, Cinnamon was said to 'grow in the country in which Dionysus was reared' aka Nysa. More info on this along with other spices in Greek mythology could be found in The Gardens of Adonis: Spices in Greek Mythology by Marcel Detienne.
Rose Loads of sources here. Simplest place to look is Wikipedia, especially on the festival of Rosalia.
Roses and fragrances are a special attribute of Aphrodite, and also of Dionysus, particularly in Imperial-era poetry as a wine god for drinking parties or with the presence of Eros.
Although ivy and grapevines are the regular vegetative attributes of Dionysus, at Athens roses and violets could be adornments for Dionysian feasts.
In a Dionysian context, wine, roses, and the color red are trappings of violence and funerals as well as amorous pursuits and revelry.
Dionysus is described by Philostratus as wearing a wreath of roses and a red or purple cloak as he encounters Ariadne.
I used both rose essential oil and literal dried rose petals.
Pomegranate I was intending to make oils from pomegranate seeds as I have a pomegranate tree in my garden, but it seems the fruits aren't grown yet. Currently, I've used this recipe without the pomegranate oil. If you do have access to them though, they should work fine.
According to Pomegranate: A Global History by Damien Stone
In a tale of his infancy, he is torn up and eaten by the Titans (though later reassembled). From the blood that spills onto the earth as he is cannibalized, a pomegranate tree grows. Thus certain ritual festivals banned the consumption of pomegranate as being too sacred. Clement of Alexandria tells us: 'The women who celebrate the Thesmophoria are careful not to eat any pomegranate seeds which fall to the ground, being of opinion that pomegranates spring from the drops of Dionysus' blood'. Later, as an adult god, Dionysus seduces a maiden under the pretence that he will give her a crown. When she badgers the god for her reward, he turns her into a pomegranate, with its crown-shaped calyx.
Pine Need I say more? The thyrsus, the pine-cone tipped staff, is an iconic symbol of Dionysus. Currently, I haven’t used pine as I ran out of my supply. Will try again once this bottle of oil runs out though.
Process Cleanse myself magically and then ritually so with khernips. Say my preferred hymns to Dionysus, give him libation, and then combine the ingredients. Ask him to imbue his powers within it, to make sacred and bless the oil, in order for me to use it in his name and honor. Keep the oil in a dark place for it to infuse and blend. Consecrate it through the elements. Once it is ready, and if the smell is pleasant (which for me, it is), give the scent as an offering or anoint a candle with it and burn it.
Extra Ingredients You can adapt and add whatever you want. Ideally, I also wanted to add pine and pomegranate to it too but haven’t got the chance. Feel free to take the idea and adapt it for other deities as well.

genie in a bottle
masterlist
Words count: 1,6k
Pairing: yang jeongin x gender neutral reader
Summary: during your holidays, you buy a lamp, not expecting a boy to come out of it
Genres: genie!au, genie!jeongin, human!reader, fluff, a bit of angst, bullet point
Warnings: mention of cancer
Notes: merry holidays y’all!!! here’s my gift until (probably) next year. hope you like it, feedback’s always welcomed
Tumblr media
everyone knows the legend of aladdin
it’s magical and cool
but you never thought it was possibly real
and that you would ever meet a genie
but here you were
arguing with a genie about how you should use your first wish
“just make any wish. want to be famous? rich? married with your favorite celebrity? have a yellow elephant in your garden?”
“wow no, let me think. i need to be sure about the consequences”
how did you end up in this situation? well
you were on holidays with your parents in India
beautiful country btw
on the last day there
here was this little market in a village
when a sort of dusty lamp caught your eyes
it wasn’t particularly pretty but it intrigued you
you didn’t know why but you needed to have it
like an idiot you forgot your money in the car so you begged your mom to rent you the money
“are you serious y/n? of all things you gotta want this old useless thing?”
“pretty please!!! i’ll pay you back”
she accepted
bonus: your dad in the background telling you not to spend your money mindlessly bc
“MONEY DOESN’T GROW ON TREES”
and you absolutely agree with that!!
BUT
the l a m p
it was calling you
also it wasn’t that expensive
you buy it with your mom’s money and see the old lady from the stall winking at you
you smile at her bc she seems nice
and she looks at you with a mischievous smile
you don’t think much of it tho
you put the lamp in your bag and don’t touch it until you’re back home
you leave your parents and go into your apartment
after unpacking, you put the lamp on your desk and sit on your chair
you face it, looking at every angle
and then you decide to clean the dust on it
but when you do
oh boy
what was going on? no idea
a boy came out of it
but not any boy
an asian boy with blue short hair and almost black eyes
he was wearing a midnight blue top and a black belt
under his waist was a sort of light blue haze linking him to the lamp
you were shocked to say the least
“aladdin???” was all that could get out of your mouth
you would have done the same stop lying
“do i look like-”
he was NOT having it tho lol
“my name’s jeongin. what’s yours?”
“y/n”
“ok, so. you’re granted 3 wishes before i become useless to you. i can’t make you immortal or make someone die and you can’t ask for endless wishes either. in which country did you bring me anyway?”
you laughed nervously while he was eyeing your room with a frown
“those 4 indian rupees were worth it i guess”
and that is how you ended up with a genie in your room
back to your first wish
you had the urge to erase all evil but what would be left tbh?
like as you know there’s no light without darkness
also you were sure he would only see the literal sense of your wish
the consequences were kinda scary
“can you give me a few days?”
“uhhh. you’re weird. you’re the first one that doesn’t make their three wishes in two minutes”
I MEAN??? IT’S ONLY T H R E E WISHES
“i don’t want to rush anything”
“what will i be doing then??”
“what you were doing before i bought you duh”
he sighed very loudly and got back into his lamp after saying
“you know what to do when you make up your mind”
a few weeks passed and school took all of your time, you didn’t have much time to think properly
every other day jeongin would pop his head out of his lamp
“have you thought it out yet?”
“no”
and go back in with a groan
sometimes he would stay and actually spend time with you
his reason? “i’m bored”
y’all would talk about anything like what’s your country like, what his centuries of adventures can bring to your history knowledge (and class), his encounters, your college friends etc
when holidays came, you were less stressed but still, you couldn’t put the idea of possible failure in the back of your head
made you decide what your first wish would be
you rubbed the lamp with your thumb
“finally!! i hope you know what you want”
you spoke as clearly as your throbbing heart would allow “i wish to be successful in everything i undertake”
“your wish is my command” jeongin bowed and snapped his fingers
you didn’t know exactly what you were expecting but you were definitely expecting something
like a confident feeling rushing over you or even a halo of light coming from your body
instead, you just felt the same
which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing
“okay what’s next”
“i, uh, didn’t think about any other wish for now”
“i’m starting to worry there’s something wrong with you”
he was intrigued
since when a human wouldn’t make three wishes thoughtlessly and regret them later?
not that you looked stupid but he couldn’t see how you were different
it definitely wasn’t physical
perhaps you were more intelligent than the average
without the arrogance that usually comes with it
“can i ask you a question?”
“i don’t see why not. i need to be entertained anyway, i have a feeling this whole thing will take ages.”
you chuckled lightly and apologized about that
“what happens when i make my three wishes?”
“i go back from where you bought me”
you realizes the old lady probably knew about this but you didn’t say anything
“since when are you in the lamp?”
“about 450 years”
your eyes widened
maybe he crossed path with your great great great great great great great great grandparents
“i’ve seen a lot of countries over time, for some reason tourists are more attracted to the lamp than indians themselves”
“have you ever… wanted to be free?”
“i’ve been wanting to be free for centuries”
jeongin looks sad and hurt
you’re not quite sure why, but your heart aches
a few days later, as you were doing homework, you were craving your favorite food
so much you couldn’t think straight anymore
you mindlessly wished you could have a lot of it
big mistake on your part
you put your hands on your mouth in disbelief but it was too late anyway
jeongin came out and snapped his fingers
the table was instantly filled with your favorite food
you sighed tiredly and turned to the genie
“can you eat?”
“even if i could i wouldn’t, it’s your wish”
you groaned, visibly irritated by yourself, putting your hands in your hair, your elbows on the table
since the mistake was made and couldn’t be reversed, you slowly allowed yourself to dig in and actually enjoy the food to your stomach’s content
while you were eating, jeongin stayed with you
you were always nice to him
you didn’t see him as a mean to an end like everyone else did
it was making him see humanity differently
he had hope that more kind people like you existed
it still felt like an utopia but you made him believe again
a few weeks later, as you were in the hospital for a check up
they told you you had a ganglion cancer
it was a stage 2A so it wasn’t too bad
6 months of chemo and you would be cured
it took a toll on you of course
but you were strong
you would tell your parents in the morning, you didn’t have the strength right now
when you came back at your apartment, you went straight to your bedroom and rubbed the lamp
“did you finally decide on your last wish-”
he stopped himself when he saw your face
“what’s wrong, y/n?”
“i have cancer”
he didn’t say anything at first
he approached you and took you in his arms
it was the first time you touched
it felt weird, he didn’t have the warmth of a human body and was a bit less consistent
but it felt nice nonetheless to have someone to hug
he stroked your hair gently
normally he doesn’t really care about humans’ lives
then it hit him
at first you were just another human using him, but now he truly cared about you
he didn’t want you to leave this earth so soon, even if he would never see you again
“you need to use your last wish to save yourself” he required
you shook your head slightly, still in his embrace
you moved back a little so you could see his face
you remembered all the conversations you had with him
every moment you spent together during the last month
you made up your mind
“what do you mean no?”
“instead, i will save you” you spoke softly but he shook his head
“y/n, no-”
you took a step back
“i wish you to-”
“don’t finish this sentence!!”
“-be free”
jeongin tried his best not to snap his fingers but he did anyway
the haze that linked him to the lamp disappeared in a golden smoke cloud, leaving the boy with legs
“why would you do that??”
he was a bit mad but you could see he was more worried about you than anything
you smiled at him, happy with how you selflessly handled the situation
“it’s a curable cancer. i’ll be fine, promise”
he let out a choked sob, which startled you
he ran into you and held you into a bone crushing hug
“i’ll be with you every step of the way”
tears frightened to slip from your eyes
that was the purest thing you’ve ever been told
and you believed him, because he became a dear friend
you knew you would overcome anything with him by your side

George x Fem!Reader- After the After Party
Tumblr media
A/n: ATTENTION! INSPIRATION HAS STRUCK! After a couple months’ hiatus, I had a random creative burst and thought up a somewhat decent fic idea (can I get an amennnnn) Enjoy!  A/n Part 2: Check out the photo in my header for the ACTUAL photo of Geo at the Sgt. Pepper release party! Year: 1967 Summary: Female reader and George sneak out during the Sgt. Pepper release party and have a romantic night!
You stood at a high-top, listening to the various conversation around you. Raising the glass of champagne in your hand to your lips, you took a sip of the sweet liquid, savoring it as it went down your throat. You looked around, searching for a familiar face.
It was 1967-- the Sgt. Pepper’s release party. Critics were raving over this new album, calling it one of the most historic events in music history. No expenses had been spared for the expensive event: the most luxurious champagne in every glass, hors d’ouvres floating around every minute, waiters dressed in tuxedos. It was a party fit for a king- or maybe four.
You adjusted you dress, smoothing out any creases, and pulled some strands of loose hair behind your ear, trying to make yourself look busy. The last thing you wanted was to get caught in another conversation with a random person you’d never met.
You and George had been going out for around a year, ever since he got back from his historic trip to India. You had stumbled upon each other at the airport, and had been together ever since. But, all this social responsibility was more than you had imagined. Being George Harrison’s girlfriend was no easy feat, as you were quickly learning.
The party had already been going on for hours, and you were drained. Located in a fancy hotel lobby in London, the party was filled with the wealthiest, best, and brightest the world and to offer. You had done your best to fit in amongst these stars; however, it was proving to be tiring work.
George, Paul, Ringo, and John had been missing for a long time, needing to shake everyone’s hand and thank each and every guest for attending the party. So, you tried to make conversation with the other guests, however, you had exhausted your social inventory for the night. Now, you were just ready to go home. Or maybe see George. Either option would work.
As you checked your watch for what seemed like the hundredth time of the hour, suddenly, you saw the one person you needed to see- George! His familiar, bearded face was floating through the sea of people, and it felt like a godsend due to your absolute, complete, horrible boredom.
George was dressed impeccably, with his gorgeous dark purple jacket and ruffled shirt underneath. Very creative and eccentric, but, that was George. The boys had all dressed up in their most creative outfits, but you really thought George took the prize for number one.
Finally, he arrived at your high top. You threw himself into his arms, cracking the first smile you had made in a while.
“Geo!” You smiled, and he chuckled as you clutched onto him tightly.  “Y/n, what’s this for?” He laughed, pulling you off of him so you could see his face.
“I missed you,” you gave him an over exaggerated frown, and he frowned back at you. You both smiled, then George grabbed your hand. Leaning over, he lowered his voice and spoke into your ear.
“Hey, listen, (y/n),” He started mysteriously, “What’ya say we get outta here? I don’t think I’ve ever been more bored in me life.”
Your eyes widened. Excitement began to form as you thought about heading off with your boyfriend, enjoying a romantic night- with JUST the two of you. But, you wanted to make sure George actually wanted to go, and that he was not just making the decision for your sake.
“But, George, you’ve worked so hard for this party, are you being serious?” You held your breath.
“Serious as a heart attack! C’mon, we’ll sneak out the back without Paul seein’ us. He's too busy cozying up with old Linda, any how,” George chuckled.
“What about John? Or Ringo?” You asked cautiously, wanting to make sure George was 100% on board. You didn’t want to be the one to drag him away from the party, obviously!
“He’s off... well...doing some John thing, And Ringo, he’s probably smoking in the bathroom or summat,” He lowered his voice. “Honestly, (y/n), I don’t care- about any of them, really. I just want to celebrate with you tonight.”
You reached up to brush off his jacket as you felt a blush creep across your cheeks. He grinned, and reached to grab your hand. You smiled up at him in pure happiness.
“Alright, Geo,” you started, before George began to pull you away from your table for one. You squealed quietly in surprise as he led you quickly across the crowded room, head down, trying to avoid any more conversation. You followed closely behind him.
You finally reached the back of the room. George wiggled his eyebrows at you playfully before putting a finger to his lips, signaling to you to be quiet. Then, he pushed his way through the doors behind him: arriving in a busy, noisy, and properly in use kitchen.
“George! I don't know if we can be in here,” You said uncertainly, trying to pull him back through the doors- and unfortunately, back to the party.
“Ah, (y/n), c’mon love. we’ll be fine,” he laughed, dragging you through the kitchen as you gave weak smiles to the obviously confused kitchen staff. “There’s a back door that leads out of the hotel from here,” George explained as he led you to the back kitchen. Well enough, there was a large set of double doors at the back of kitchen, with crates of wine leaning against the wall nearby.
You gasped in surprise. “George Harrison, the rebel? What do you have to say for yourself, young man?” You joked as he quickly grabbed a bottle of wine from a crate and tucked it under his jacket.
“My lady,” he offered as he pulled the door open with his free hand, the cold night air rushing in to meet you. You giggled as you both stepped out into the cold.
George immediately noticed the goosebumps on your bare arms. “Hold this,” he handed the wine bottle to you as he shrugged off his velvet jacket. “Put it on, love, don't want’cha catchin’ a cold now,” He said, and you gratefully put it on. The jacket immediately warmed you up.
“What would I do with out you?” you wondered aloud. George just slipped his hand into yours as you walked down the London street, your heels making a click clack noise on the cobbled ground.
“Any ideas on where to go?” You asked, your voice sounding loud in the quiet of the night.
“I think I know the place,” George responded, and you continued walking on. You grew excited, wondering where George was taking you.
Finally, you turned onto an unfamiliar street. Streetlights shone dimly onto the street, and you could hear the faint whistling of trains in the distance. You looked up, noticing the bright half-moon sitting in the sky. The breeze rustled the grass and bushes lining the small path you were standing on.
“This is the place,” George breathed, leading you to a nearby park bench. You squeezed his hand as you settled onto the seat next to him, looking out onto a neatly-kept garden, the flowers barely illuminated by the tall lights surrounding the area.
You leaned into George as he brushed his hair out of his face, before struggling to uncork the bottle of wine. Finally, he opened it, unceremoniously taking a swig before handing the bottle to you.
You took a sip, the delicious flavor filling your mouth. Setting the bottle down onto the ground, George put an arm around you. He looked at the moon, admiring its beauty, and you stared up at your boyfriends face, lost in thought.
“What are you thinking about, Geo?” you asked quietly, tucking the wind-blown hair off of your hair.
“Lotsa things,” George said, pulling you close to him and kissing the top of your head. “You. Me. What’s out there. What’s up,” he pointed to the sky. “There.”
You looked up at the sky, at the moon, and the stars. There was really no end to the universe, outer space, and you realized how small you and George must seem.
“There’s so much I wanna see, (y/n),” George continued. “And I want to see it all with ‘ya. I always wanna be with ‘ya. Forever and ever,” he murmured.
You tilted your face up, looking at his serious face. He looked into your eyes for a second before breaking into a massive smile. His eyes crinkled in the way you loved.
You kissed him, leaning upwards towards him. He returned the kiss happily, holding you close. Finally, you broke apart. You settled next to him just as before, wrapping yourself deeply in his velvet jacket. You sat there until the stars disappeared in the sky, drinking wine, and seeing everything with him.

Headcanon; Time/Location of Agrabah
Ever since I started roleplaying Cassim back in 2014, I’ve been obsessed with ancient/post-classical Middle East & the Islamic Golden Age. Years later, I’m still researching. In the process, I became a lover of Arabic music, history, culture... & I’m also constantly raging at Sims for not having better Middle Eastern representation in their game. Seriously, wtf. Anyway, moving on... I’m not claiming this headcanon to be ACCURATE. I know some people like to place the time period during the Ottoman Empire & while I can see how that could work, I think my placement makes a bit more sense. The Ottoman Empire wasn’t as accepting of polytheistic beliefs during their reign & clearly, we see lots of proof of that in the movie/series. I mean, I’m no history wizard. This is just based on my personal research & observations from the movie/series. If you disagree with something, feel free to chime in. Time Period: 762 - 980 CE, Abbasid Caliphate  Location: Baghdad (Agrabah) & the surrounding empire (Seven Deserts) Fun side note: Agra (city in India) & Baghdad (city in Iraq)...combined together, they make ‘Agrabah’.
Tumblr media
Why 762 CE specifically? This was the year that the city of Baghdad was founded near the Sasanian capital city of Ctesiphon. Persian customs had been broadly adopted by the ruling elite, since the Sassanid empire had just ended in 651 CE. Persianate culture was a mixture of Persian & Islamic cultures that eventually underwent persification & became the dominant culture for centuries to come. During this point in time, Islam was on the rise, but was also co-existing with the traditional Persian religion- Zoroastrianism, as well as Hinduism, Christianity, & Judaism. Ethnic identities ranged from Arab to Persian & Turkish to Berber. This may be why we see multiple ethnicities & religious beliefs coinciding throughout the series. It varied between kingdoms, but some religions may have faced persecution. They were not, however, rejected. During this time, the empire stretched from the edges of India to the borders of Europe. This may also explain why Agrabah displayed a melting pot of people.  Why not BEFORE the 7th century? Because the position of ‘VIZIER’ originated under Abbasid rule, not before. Sultans, though appointed by the caliph, governed independent kingdoms. The vizier stood between sovereign & subjects, representing the former in all matters touching the latter. Grand viziers held authority over civil & military affairs, while enjoying the same powers as the sultan, except in the matter of the succession or the appointment of officials.
Arabian culture took off during the early Abbasid age, despite political issues. Arabs saved & spread Greek advances in medicine, mathematics, astronomy, anatomy, philosophy, the birth of ALCHEMY (chemistry), medicine, & more. Notably, they build the House of Wisdom, which housed a society of scientists & academics, a translation department, & a library that preserved the knowledge acquired by the Abbasids over the centuries. The House of Wisdom is actually where I drew some influence for the Land of the Living Sand.
Also, the Persian term for a priest in Zoroastrianism was “magi”. They were practitioners of magic, utilizing astronomy/astrology, alchemy, & other forms of knowledge. Zoroaster was an astronomer/sorcerer who was perceived by the Greeks to be the founder of the Magi & inventor of both astrology & magic, a meaning that still survives in the modern-day words "magic" & "magician". Basically, magic originated in Arabia before the Islamic age. Which would make sense why sorcerers like Jafar are still around (due to the previous empire), as well as deities like Chaos, genies (djinn), witches, & other magic users.
Tumblr media
The architecture during this time is also very similar to what we see in the film, as well. Persianate architecture made use of abundant symbolic geometry & repetitive forms, as well as surfaces that are richly decorated with glazed tiles, carved stucco, patterned brickwork, floral motifs, & calligraphy. In addition to historic gates, palaces, bridges, buildings & religious sites which highlight the highly developed supremacy of architecture, Persian gardens were also an example of symbolism & unique style. The gardens utilized the advanced Achaemenid knowledge of water technologies.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Additionally, until the Ottoman conquest in the 16th century, mamluk soldiers were often purchased as slaves. Their status was above that of ordinary slaves, as they were allowed to carry weapons & perform certain tasks. Historians agree that mamluks appeared to develop in Islamic societies beginning with the 9th century Abbasid Caliphate of Baghdad. And who do we hear referring to his undead soldier servants as “mamluks”??? Mozenrath.
So, do I think Disney’s writers & artists modeled Agrabah after Baghdad between the 7th-9th century? Yes. Especially when considering a line from Genie, “he faced the galloping hordes”. While the Mongol invasion (famously called the Siege of Baghdad) took place in 1258, leading up to that, Baghdad was under siege 7 separate times during Abbasid rule. Maybe this was a common thing at the time? Another thing about Baghdad during this time...it was BOOMING. It was a centre of science, culture, philosophy, invention, art, & trade. It was located near both the Tigris & Euphrates rivers, making it an ideal spot for food production that could sustain a large population. Some of the goods being traded through the city were ivory, soap, honey, & diamonds. People in Baghdad made & exported silk, glass, tiles, & paper. The central location & lively trade culture of the city made a lively exchange of ideas possible as well.
And now my last & final reason why I think Disney’s Agrabah is set in Baghdad. There was a live-action film from 1940 called “The Thief in Baghdad”, which I believe Disney took a LOT of inspiration from. In the movie, there’s an evil vizier named Jafar & a thief named Abu, who finds a magic bottle containing a genie, which he uses to save the prince’s life & the princess from being married to the vizier. Abu also gets turned into a dog in this film, whereas in Disney he’s a thieving monkey that gets turned into an elephant. Anyway, since it all took place in Baghdad, I think this could be another hint as to where the location of Agrabah was meant to be. That & a lot of the stories in “1001 Nights” are set in Baghdad.  THE END. :) SORRY FOR THE LONG POST. Sources: X X X X X X X X X X X X

Y/N and Harry are best friends
“Hey you,” you call out, arms outstretched towards your best friend, Harry, “long time no see!” It was ironic, you'd graduated uni and moved to london just as Harry went on his world tour.
He smiles widely, enveloping you in his arms, smelling of musk and dark florals and something warm that you couldn't name but always associated it with Harry. “Miss me much babe,” his eyes sparkling as he teased you easily, all these months meant nothing now that you were together again.
“You have no clue,” You answered honestly, “I had no one to bother late at night or eat my terrible bread creations.”
“It's a recipe,” he says with a shake of his head, swinging you both slightly, “I don't know how you can mess it up!”
“Whatever mr I can't park,” you snap back.
“At least I can drive.”
You both burst out laughing and he lets you go briefly before taking your arm in his, and leading you into the restaurant, both of you pretending not to notice the far off paps in the corner of the street. It came with the territory and the mad obsession the media has with your friend.
It was monday afternoon and you'd been looking to this for days when he told you he was flying back from japan, which sounded like a dream. You'd never been further than Scotland.
“Cebu is always so freaking good,” you tell him, taking a sip from your vodka cranberry, “but tell me more about japan! It looks so cool! I'd love to visit the Aniu or sleep in one of those cube hotels.”
Harry laughs, drinking from his own beer, “It was cool. I mean I sent you all those pics didn't I! It was good to get some downtime after the past year.”
“At least you make friends easily,” you say, scrunching your nose, “my first term at uni was so lonely, I don't know what I'd have done if I'd never met Julia.”
“You just have to talk to people I mean you wouldn't love you! I spilled coffee on you and you didn't completely hate me. That's best friend material.”
“Think that says more about you than it says about me,” you laugh. “Still Japan is much cooler that spending the workweek in a lab.” It had been cool at first, but the novelty of being out of school and getting paid and not having exams had worn off by now.
“You get to do crazy wacky science,” he teases, “how long until you’re an x man!”
“I'd rather be spider-man,” you tell him without missing a beat, “when the rami movies came out I spent a good few months looking for spiders in the garden to bite me.” It had been so dumb in retrospect but you'd always hoped one day you'd wake up with superpowers.
Harry roars with laughter, “how'd you get into Oxford again?”
“Don't be an ass,” you reply, “we can't all being amazingly talented singers.”
“You forgot the wildly attractive part,” he says with a smirk, leaning close to you.
Unable to help yourself, you snort, “there goes your giant head again!”
“Hey,” he protests, looking the very picture of offended. If you didn't know him any better, you'd think you'd gone too far. But there's a hint of smile pulling at the corner of his lips and you just laugh.
“My most sincerest apologies,” you respond a girl to match his on your own face. Harry has a way of just making you so freaking happy no matter what else is going on. There's never been a time in your friendship when talking to him hadn't made you feel better.  “maybe bangs?”
He brings a hand up to his chest, mock offense written into his expressive features before his face lights up with glee. You know you're in for it now. “Oh where oh where has my baby gone,” he sings just loud enough to for you alone to hear.
“Stop,” you protest, flushing red and laughing, tears welling up in your eyes. You teared up easily when laughing. “Please the puppies are begging you to stop!”
Harry laughs, his gaze completely focused on you, “did you finish the art project you were working on then?”
Despite him being the only person you trusted with your super secret art projects, you still felt yourself blush, hand coming up to brush stray hairs back behind your ear, “the initial photography, but I’m still working through the editing. The ones I've finished are coming out almost the way I pictured them.”
“Almost?”
“Well things are never exactly how you imagine them are they,” you note, “or maybe I'm just overthinking things and have been working on them for too long.”
“You probably just need a pair of fresh eyes,” Harry says as they bring out your food. Their eggs in tomatoes looked deceptively simple and yet yours were never as good.
“Smooth,” you utter, grinning at him. “Do you hit up everyone's DMs like that?”
Harry shakes his head, “no but really baby, can I see what you have so far?” His lips are drawn earnestly.
You nod, “sure, we can make a movie night out of it too. I've been dying to try out this no bake chocolate cream pie.”
“Only if I get to pick the movie?”
“Deal.”
*
You slump on the cheap ikea couch you and your roommates had pooled cash together to buy once you get home, bag full of snacks.
“Tired,” Julia asks from the kitchen, shamelessly eating straight out of the pan.
“Yeah,” you tell her, “Arjun called in sick and since I'm the newest hires I got the short end of the stick and pulled a double shift.”
“Isn't work amazing,” Julia replies, bring the pan and an extra fork for you, settling down next to you. “My boss called me this morning at 6am and had me call a bunch of places in India to find some extra fabric for a client. I wasn't due til 9!”
“What an outrage,” I deadpan.
“Maybe we can still be witches in the midlands,” she offers, “or raise cows in the highlands.”
“God that's such a mood,” you sigh, taking the fork and eating her cheesy pasta dish. “I thought working in a lab would be nice and easy compared to school and it is but dealing with my boss and the hectic hours has left me with no social life.”
“Right! I've missed so many parties and good djs because I'm on call talking to far off places sourcing textiles! I just hope I get promoted so I can go on trip to source and not just spend all hours of the day being an errand girl.”
You nod, mouthful of pasta, “I heard hospital labs are pretty good but I've been told I need more experience.”
She laughs bitterly before gazing at your loot of snacks, “Harry coming over?”
“Yeah,” you reply, “we’re watching a movie and pigging out after a long ass week.” You has been looking forward to it all day despite how drained you were; to the bone, to the point coffee wasn't much help.
Opening snapchat you see harry's sent you a couple photos.
Him in a ruffled white shirt, loosely buttoned, caption reading in the mood for a period romance? ;))
The next was of him in a tastefully ripped shirt that probably cost more than your rent, and a worn flannel, or a rom com?
The there was Harry wearing an old dark knight shirt you'd gotten him for his birthday at a charity shop, or will we go full superhero landing!?!
Rolling your eyes and smiling your reply with a blurry selfy, the most dramatic frog to ever prince.
“God I can't wait til we're all sixty and you've both been married and divorced and finally get together,” she says teasingly, “or worse it's like you're both gotten together and your s.o’s are the third and fourth wheel!”
“Shut up,” you tell her, “we're literally the same. You spent most of fresher in my dorm once we met. You made me help shave your back.”
“That's friendship bitch,” Julia says with a laugh, “just keep in mind Imma be like dead to the world.”
“Wow,” you state, “you've come such a long way from being a complete party animal.”
“Right,” she mutters, “I miss drinking and showing up hungover to class.”
“It's all downhill from here,” you tease.
She swats your fork away from the pot, “what a depressing thought.”
*
Harry texts you to let you know he's here and you buzz him up, hugging him before saying, “i might have to steal this sweater from you.” It ridiculously soft the way only old sweaters are.
He laughs, “I brought a bottle of rose.”
“ooh let me try this knife trick i've been practicing,” you tell him as he kicks off his boots and settles in.
“Don't want to die today but thanks.”
“Harold,” you respond mock affronted. “So what movie have you chosen for us today art hoe?”
“You're the one who can quote the cool girl monologue by heart,” he retorts, grabbing the wine opener and starting on the cork. Unlike you, he managed it without cursing for half an hour and deciding boxed wine wasn't a bad idea.
“The movie harry,” you say, grabbing a couple of blankets and pillows for the couch along with your art journal.
“Searching,” he answers, “Sarah said it was really good and slept on.”
“And even if it's not there's always chips and hummus.”
“Very true,” Harry responds, pouring wine into mugs like a maniac and settling down next to you on the couch, his own worn journal in hand. “But it's Sarah and Mitch they have great taste in pretty much everything.”
“High praise coming from you,” you note palming through your journal, over the drawing and words you'd written down over the last few months.
He grins, looking perfectly at home in your modest flat. Harry has never been weird about being famous and rich and- it made it that much easier to be friends with him. To forget about all that and just be friends with Harry, not Harry styles. “It is ain't it,” he utters lips curled into a sinners smile, the kind he gave girls and boys when you went out to clubs.
“There goes your big head again,” you retort, putting your journal down and curling up with a handful of popcorn.
“Oi!” Harry furrows his brow staring you down for a second before launching himself at you, pinning you down and tickling your sides, “take it back!”
“Never,” you yelp, giggling madly, Your arms against his chest as you push him off easily. It's so easy to be comfortable with him, he's just such a hugger and you can't say you don't like it, the warmth and security you feel.
He laughs, “so long as you let me see your journal baby,” is his only response, chest still shaking from laughter.
“I'll show you mine if you show me yours,” you respond jokingly. The sense of humor middle schoolers had still there in your head.
“Deal,” he replies, shifting so his head is resting in your lap, passing you his own journal before grabbing yours off the coffee table. You'd never felt as grown up as you did when buying a coffee table, even more so than buying pans and dishes instead of eating everything out of a mug.
Mindlessly, your fingers run through his hair, soft and silky and starting to curl up behind his ears. You wonder if he'll let it grow out again. You prefer him like this but it was fun to braid his strands of hair.
His journal is more full of words than drawings, in his sloppy scrawl, like in old letters. Leather bound parchment, it's tons nicer than your own moleskine you'd gotten on sale, with the true victorian era feel you'd been obsessed with in your younger years.
There's a dreamy quality to the writing, fragmented thoughts that he trusts you with.
The tv plays quietly in the background, you’re too immersed to say anything, to break the comfortable silence with any words, occasionally reaching for a chip, smothering it in hummus.
In the beginning, when Harry had first crashed at your small cramped flat at uni, he'd drunkenly looked through your journal, well one of your journals, covered in all your loose thoughts and many many drawings and sketches, ideas for pieces that you'd spend what little free time you had doing.
You'd gotten annoyed and a little mad, because your journal was private and personal and who did you think you were? Frida Kahlo? It wasn't like he'd meant to, drunk and a little high. It wasn't one of your best moments but he'd bought you a cuppa tea the next morning before you'd woken up and let you flip through his own journal, just to make it up to you.
That's how he'd become the person you trusted to show your art to.
“Don't laugh at my sad attempts at poetry,” he mutters, his gaze meeting yours somewhat self consciously. His cheeks are flushed red but you can't tell if it's from laughing or because he's actually embarrassed.
“Trying to be just like Bukowski,” you tease. You'd never actually read anything by him, you just read about him being kind of an asshole in real life.
He rolls his eyes at you, “ever since you sent me that song I can't think about him the same!”
“I just thought you'd want to know. That song is such a depression mood though.”
Harry grows serious, looking up at you. Your hand stills in his hair. “Are you alright?”
You nod, “yeah I'm fine I was just joking.” It's true. You haven't felt depressed in months, haven't been bad in longer. Progress.
“You'd tell me if-”
“Oh course,” you cut him off with a smile, closing his journal. “Want to see how my latest and greatest projects progressing?”
He smiles softly, “why else do you think I'm here for?”
You smack him lightly with his own journal, getting up and getting your laptop. This latest idea of yours has come at the cost of having to learn to use digital editing. Thank god for youtube.
Harry sits up and watches as your scroll through some of the more finished pictures of both women and men you'd reached out to, dragging Julia with you to feel braver about approaching strangers. Something you wouldn't have done a year ago.
Their pictures have been edited to exaggerate their insecurity, ranging from overly larger noses to small eyes and thin lips. It had been an idea since you'd read about Jacqueline de Ribes who someone had said how sad it was if you didn't have a great big nose like she had.
“Especially in this era of face tuning and filters and contouring where everyone is trying to hide what they feel insecure about,” you tell him, watching the shift of his lips, his pensive gaze, trying to gage his reaction. No one but you has seen these. Although when you’re done they'll also be sent to your models, who'd been nice enough to open up about their insecurities to you. Maybe it was easier to talk to strangers you'd never see again about these things. Wasn't that the whole idea behind therapy?
“At first I only edited it slightly but I didn't think the idea came across as strongly and in your face. I mean maybe by airing out and owning our insecurities we can overcome them? Or maybe just stop idealizing one specific type of feature?” These were the questions that you thought would be answered by doing this, but there didn't seem to be any easy answers.
“I like them,” he tells you, “It's like things you wouldn't have noticed I mean most people are alright looking and then you actually get to know them and it all warps how you see people. Like gee doesn't Tom look like such an bloody asshole.”
You snort, shaking your head, “you had me in the first half I'm not going to lie.”
After that you both mess about, putting on parks and recs for the hundredth time, skipping to the second season when Ben and Chris come in. It's still as funny as the first time you had watched it.
It's late and your both half asleep on the couch and smiling at the tv, legs bumping against Harry's much longer legs.
“I should probably go,” he mutters.
“No stay,” you tell him, “it's late and you can just crash with me.” You’d both slept in the same bed lots of times by now, the initial awkwardness long gone as you stopped to you underwear and an old t shirt that was long enough to pass for a dress.
“Should I be worried about your alarm?”
“I can actually wake up even if my alarms just on vibrate,” you let him know, because god you wish you didn't have work tomorrow so you could wake up late and go get overly expensive breakfast at the dinner down the street who made the fluffiest american style pancakes. It was a treat you loved to get yourself.
Harry helps you drag some of the blankets into your room, tossing them onto the bed. You curl up next to the wall, nestling into the covers. From the corner of your eye you watch Harry pull his shirt off before kicking off his jeans, ripped at the knees.
He's fit and you can't help but mentally trace over the butterfly he has tattooed that you thought stupid at first but had grown on you.  Gracelessly he flops onto the bed, sliding under the covers.
“Your feet are always freezing,” he complains which just makes you kick him lightly. “Ow! Woman!”
“Shut up and sleep,” you tell him turning over on your side, curling into near fetal position.
“But what about going on my phone for an hour in bed?”
“Good night harold,” you say in lieu of an actual reply.
“I won't let the bed bugs bite you.”
“Your so dumb,” you whisper fondly, closing your eyes and easily falling asleep after a long day.
