My husband hates Ted Lasso too. Because he loves footie and “it completely trivialises the game” 🙄

He says that 1 player doesn’t make a team. And a good coach can’t get a lower league team into the premier league without millions being pumped into new players.

His logic does take away from the fun of the show! But I make him watch it anyway.

Yeah I agree. I enjoyed the show (or well the first two seasons at least. I watched the third season just to watch it) but it definitely did feel like a show that was released at a time when people needed a feel-good show for a moment of escape.

I imagine it’s similar to why so many people liked Emily in Paris when it was first released. A completely ridiculous show, but fun to watch when you’re stuck at home unable to do much or go anywhere.
