Here is Luiz Carlos Vinhas again on Imprevisto, stupidly visceral bossa,jazz madness. But the percussion is the thing about this I think, and then the mad dope bass that comes in and starts tweaking away. The percussionist was Edison Machado, who was ranked as highly as Milton Banana as a formative influence on the Brazilian samba drum sound, and the bass was performed by Tiao Neto. Will forever love this record.

This is the original version of Ye Mele from Luiz Carlos Vinhas, who was a bit of a legendary Brazilian pianist who played with all kinds of Dons of the scene including Elis Regina and Maria Bethania. He also formed BOSSA TRES which were the most killer bossa trio, maybe even better than TAMBA TRIO who I also dig in a big way.
