I was wondering, are you a Pato O'ward fan? I like him, you think he'll race in f1 someday? also he seems to be better adjusted to the whole racing scene than Checo
I am!! I love Pato, he's such a cutie and he's super fun! Loving what he's doing in Indy, and I really want him in F1 in the future. Checo himself has said that he hopes he can still be in F1 when Pato makes his debut, so he can leave one Mexican continuing to make history in the sport.
I do think he'll be in F1, even if Pato said it's not his goal at the moment. I have conflict because he's at McLaren, but I'll deal with that. I hate that he was in RBR academy and the FIA didn't give him the points for his superlicense, so they let him go. I hate the FIA so much sometimes, they're so unfair in certain situations.
I'm not sure what you mean with 'better adjusted', but there are a few differences between Pato's experience and Checo's.
For starters, Checo is a 90's boy, born and raised in Guadalajara. Back then schools didn't have the obligatory second language subject, and karting was more of a hobby than an actual future (I meant how it was seen by society, Checo took those races very seriously). He understood that if he wanted a future in racing, he had to move to Europe, and with many difficulties, he moved to Germany at 15, without speaking english or german, and with only 300 euros. From that moment, he had to learn how to comunicate, work and also be away from his family.
Pato's is a 2000 boy (technically, 1999), born in Monterrey. The city is on the border with the United States, and if I recall correctly, he even moved to Austin. So english was learned as second language, and karting in Mexico became very popular since 2005, so there were more opportunities.
I'm not saying that Pato had it easier than Checo, in fact I think he has been treated unfairly a few times, I'm just pointing out that it's not that Pato is better adjusted, is just different circumstances.
But seeing both, Checo and Pato in F1 would be so amazing... hopefully it'll come true. Although Pato said that if in three more years he can't enter F1, then it won't happen.
Imagine these two in F1... and in the same team! Mexican power! (one can dream)
