I think the fandom phenomenon by which a majority of even the straightest of Honkai Star Rail fans admit that Blade is "kind of gay" or was "gay in a past life" never mind that he's never had a past life, meanwhile straight Genshin fans just absolutely refuse to say Alhaitham is gay should be studied for science.

What secret has Blade unlocked that allowed him to escape from the straightification?

What in the world is Blade doing that Alhaitham hasn't done that is somehow signalling gayness to the straight fans?

I'm genuinely curious as to how two relatively similar characters (stoic, muscled, masculine) could end with one getting the "Okay yeah, Yingxing was gay" handwave while Alhaitham could probably wear a pride flag and people would still say he's straight and just being an "ally" for Kaveh.

Truly a worthy research subject...

im like. really proud  to be a small speck of that lineage. i wasnt around for the shit, im not claimin i was. i was neither a creator nor anyone catching flack during that era. but with podfeels... i dunno.

if the homestuck renaissance was the flame, then podfeels is an ember of an ember. its small. tangential. arguably entirely unoriginal.

but i hope that with it, me and the rest of the podfeels crew can do that era’s memory some level of justice. maybe even land on some dry brush, help the fire spread a lil. get back some of its old fury.

i dunno. theres a lot of art that’s inspired me in my life, but nothing quite so constructively. and i hope that podfeels lets us pay it forward a little.

Do Paul and Pat have some idea about Tom and Tord? I know that they don’t know that they’re married but I get the feeling that Tord is incapable of hiding his affection for Tom enough from them to not notice that there’s something between him and Tom

Oooh yeah, Tord is a super loser when it comes to Tom. His gaze lingers WAY too much. It wouldn’t be obvious for most, but Paul and Pat are his friends so they see it.

They think he might be pining, which is rlly sad bc from their perspective he’s been pining for literal YEARS. They try to push him, and in extreme cases, set him up with his own damn husband. It leads to rlly wacky scenarios where they try to construct ‘meet-cutes’ for them bc its painful to watch Tord “pining”. It never works though, bc for one, unlike Tord, Tom is NOT distracted by his husband and can plainly see what Paul and Pat are trying to do, so he dodges their attempts.

Which sadly makes Paul and Pat think he’s straight and constantly going ‘MISS ME WITH THAT GAY SHIT’
