Parece un granero viejo, pero cuando veas el interior te querrás quedar a vivir ahí

Seguro que en más de una ocasión habéis escuchado eso de: "lo importante está en el interior", haciendo referencia a que es más importante la forma de ser de uno que su físico, que además cambia y se transforma constantemente. Pues bien, si pensabas que este acertado dicho sólo se podía aplicar a las personas, estás equivocado, resulta que también vale para las casas. Tenemos la costumbre de juzgar una casa o un edificio por su fachada, y es que si lo vemos viejo o descuidado, ¿qué podemos esperar del interior? Sin embargo, muchas veces podemos llevarnos una sorpresa al descubrir que el interior nada tiene que ver con la fachada, y que hasta la casa que parece más tenebrosa puede convertirse rápidamente en nuestra casa de ensueño. Eso posiblemente sea lo que te suceda con este granero que parece viejo y abandonado.

Se trata de un viejo granero que está disponible para el alquiler vacacional. Se encuentra en el pintoresco Valle de Hudson de Nueva York

Si la fachada hace dudar de su estado, sólo tenemos que asomarnos al interior para darnos cuenta de que es otro lugar totalmente diferente

Tiene una estufa de leña que no sólo calienta, también da un ambiente cálido y rústico perfecto para el lugar

La cocina, totalmente equipada, sigue contando con el sumidero de la granja original

Es una casa espaciosa perfecta para la reunión de amigos o familiares

La mezcla del rústico y el minimalismo tiene un resultado muy especial

Pero definitivamente, a mi no me importaría conectar con la naturaleza en un sitio como este

Heredó una vieja casa de campo abandonada y la transformó de esta manera

Esto es algo realmente notable en las casas, ya que si una casa queda sin habitar durante algún tiempo, rápidamente esta se deteriora. Es por eso que mantener una casa ocupada es tan importante para su conservación, si no, volver a habitarla supondrá volver a empezar, pasando seguramente por alguna que otra reforma. Una mujer de Idaho, Estados Unidos, se encontró en esta tesitura al heredar una casa de su tatarabuela que llevaba 30 años abandonada. Pese a que las condiciones de la casa no eran las más favorables, la mujer se puso manos a la obra para transformar la vieja casa en un nuevo hogar. ¿El resultado? Compruébalo tú mismo:

Whenever you’re burned out from studying or working too hard, to little or no avail, don’t you sometimes wish you’re a successful treasure hunter who had stumbled upon something that would allow you to fast forward to retirement?

It might just be a fun scenario for the rest of us to fantasize about, but it actually came true for this amateur treasure hunter who went on a metal-detecting hike in Bridport, England. Meet Mike Smale, the fortunate treasure hunter who discovered the find of a lifetime! (There’s hope for the rest of us, folks!)

The 35-year-old man was going over a farmland with his friends from the Southern Detectorists Club when they chanced upon something extraordinary. Mike’s metal detector beeped, and hence started the digging. They may have hoped to find something ancient or interesting, but what they saw was so much more than that.

After a little digging, they finally found what set off the treasure hunter’s detector — a bunch of coins. Nothing special, right? Well, probably — except these weren’t ordinary coins — they were Roman coins dating back some 2,000 years ago!

They didn’t just find 5 or 10 or 20 of these — they actually found 600 silver coins minted when Cleopatra and Mark Anthony still graced the Earth!

The worth? Around $267,000 in total.

The 35-year-old treasure hunter could sure live off this fortune for the rest of his life, but Mike says he is not yet done hunting:

���It’s a great find, my biggest one, but I shan’t be giving it up. It’s great fun and I’m sticking with it.”

As for the earnings he’d be gaining from the Roman coins, he says he’d be splitting it with the farmer whose farmlands housed the coins all this time. Of course, he would also be sharing it with the guys from the Southern Detectorists Club.

“Whatever I do get I’m going to split with the guys I went up there with,” Mike said.
