im fine with being homeless myself but my brothers, who are 13 and 10, can't take it anymore. my brother ross especially is having difficulty breathing everyday even with his nebulizer already. he is constantly gasping for breath and with our situation, we always have to be moving from one place to another

renting a place is impossible for us right now, every penny we get from here and begging on the road is enough for a night's stay in hotels, food and ross' medicines. i been through weeks of being sick with pneumonia as well. it's impossible to save up even a dollar when we are constantly hungry and sick

my post sound the same every time but this is our life now and im ashamed to ask over and over again but for my brothers, i just cannot give up

if you can spare us again, we'd deeply appreciate it. for now the most important thing is for my brothers to drink clean water and to stay in hotels just to survive the rest of the summer

Hi- I’m making another one of these as my last one has lost traction-

I need some help.

Unfortunately, all of the rent assistance programs I’ve been trying to get are falling through, and my unimployment still hasn’t dropped into my bank account. My rent is going to auto-withdrawl from my account March 2nd, and if I don’t have the $927 for it, the bank will bounce it back and... my landlord will start the process of kicking me out.

This is all I have- and I don’t know what else to do.

(I have a $60 student loan that was due to be pulled out of my account today and hasn’t yet- so this number will drop to about $40.)

In a Pinch

I have never been fond of doing what I'm about to do. It has never bothered me to see others do it, but it's safe to say that my pride and stubbornness seriously get in the way when I make an attempt at this.

What I'm trying to do is simple:

I'm Asking for Help!

Now that I have that disclaimer out of the way (it's honestly the only way I can get to this point), please allow me to explain the situation.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to go an entire month without work. It wasn't something I desired, nor could I prevent it. Anyone wishing to know more may directly message me, but know that it's not a comfortable conversation.

Thankfully, I am back to work, albeit at a different job that pays the same base rate, but with substantial monetary bonuses.

Unfortunately, my problems don't end there

As a result of my loss of income, I have fallen quite far behind in certain aspects; rent especially.

Here's where I was supposed to be at this time:

Rent should gave been up to date, with nearly $2,000 set aside for a new place (I'm supposed to be moved out at the end of February)

Transportation should have had $120 as a monthly allowance (I take public transit, and the allotted amount is the monthly cost of commuting)

I also would've had enough set aside to start making payments on a car, causing the public transit allotment to be an emergency fund

I would have been caught up on my phone bill (I had to add a second device back in November for work, and it took longer than usual for it to show)

Lastly, food would have been more than covered, with room for eating out with friends on occasion

Instead, I'm at the point of:

Being over 2 weeks late on rent, with my first pay from the new job not being big enough to cover it and my now overdrawn bank account

Sitting at $12 for transit, with nothing to put towards a car

My phone service having been shut off

Selling plasma to afford food, as well as visiting local food banks

On top of having $24 to my name (at the time of this post)

I was able to get rent delayed until February 21 and not incur a late fee, but my landlord has already signed someone into my room starting March 1. That said, I cannot push back the moving date; nor the payment date.

That said, Here's where I need help

I understand that you, the few followers I have, may not be in a position to help much, and that's fine. Simply sharing this will do.

The following amounts will get me back on my feet:

$500 will cover rent

$200 will get the phone turned back on

$60 will cover public transit through to my next paycheck

Anything beyond that will be put towards securing a new apartment. Once that is covered, any further amounts will go towards securing a vehicle (I hope to get one that will allow me to resume driving for Lyft and Uber).

In the event that I cannot secure an apartment in time, I was fortunate in receiving an offer to stay at a friend's place until a more permanent arrangement can be made.

Please help me. I'm fairly resistant to the cold, but not enough to survive the local nighttime temperatures.

So I recently found out that I am Losing my insurance soon and I do have future appointments coming up.

Okay, I've been ebegging, but here we go again. My roomate and I are disabled, trans, and homeless. We were evicted and are staying in a hotel. I ran into some money (dm me for details ig) and we will be able to get into an apartment soon but we are waiting on some legal stuff.

For now I need to pay our storage bill again, because it is now 4 days been late (I caught us up on Christma). I also need to get groceries because the food bank didn't get us many things I'm not allergic to, meaning my roomate has food, but I do not. And another hotel bill is coming up on the 15th.

my fiancée and i are homeless and need urgent medical care. I'm turning 27 this month, which happens to be Disability Pride month, and would prefer to spend my bday outside the psych ward and with my partner & our pets instead. but unstable housing and lack of sleep is causing me to have daily public meltdowns and s*lf h*rm and i am unsafe without a place to physically regulate. we are trying to get back to the city where there are doctors and social services for homeless people and we need motel stays for showering, cooking, electricity, climate control.

THIS IS A DESPERATE POST!!!

I have exhausted all possible options a poor person can possibly have. I am desperate and hopeless and I would do anything at this point

It's been exactly A MONTH since our mother passed away. TWO since our dad did. We still haven't buried our mom due to the fact that we are homeless and my brothers and i cannot afford SHIT

The funeral home has no choice but to cremate her since they have to make room for other people in the morgue. Cremation COSTS SO FUCKING MUCH as in 1,200 USD

My youngest brother on the other hand is still admitted in the hospital because of his dengue infection. He was supposed to be released yesterday morning but you guess it!!! Social welfare can't even help us at all
