About the city of ember books prophet of yonwood was published third and diamond was the fourth published but prophet of yonwood is a prequel. It’s not connected to Lina or doom at all so honestly you could read either first. It depends on if you want to know the prequel story before finishing the main plot or if you’d rather continue where people of sparks left off basically. Makes sense either way but prophet of yonwood is just a prequel and very disconnected plot wise if you read it third

Bearing this in mind ,, I will read Prophet Of Yonwood before I get Diamond, I don't mind too much that it may seem irrelevant to the 'main plot-' as such.
