Hated Boomtown but also loved it at the same time. If it wasn't for the cheap speed, mdma, ketamine and pills - it would have been difficult to tolerate. Unfortunately, once an underground type of festival, boomtown is now becoming too commercial and full of chavvy dickheads that you see at Creamfields and V Fest. There was only a handful of punks and tekno hippies sadly. It used to be about expressing yourself and feeling the love and unity but I nearly got into a fight with two disgusting men who had no respect for anyone. I kept myself to the hardtek, gabber and psytrance areas and found myself surrounded by like minded people. All the other areas were just a shit fest.

In the Insane Asylum at Boomtown 2017 there was a room full of paintings by Louis Wain. A free lance painter who had a onset of schizophrenia by toxoplasma gondii, a parasite which is excreted by cats in their feces.
