Ryo Nishikido's "Note" tour to be made into a video, special edition with 100 minutes of video and 100-page photo book

Singer and actor Nishikido Ryo will release a Blu-ray/DVD featuring the final performance at Nakano Sunplaza in Tokyo on June 16 of his nationwide hall tour Ryo Nishikido LIVE TOUR 2021 “Note”, which started in April last year. The Blu-ray/DVD will be released on April 6th 2022.

This tour, which was held in support of his second album "Note" released in January last year, was conducted with the capacity reduced to less than half of the capacity and with thorough measures taken to prevent infection by the novel coronavirus.

With a full band and strings, the show was staged in a way that only a hall performance can show, and drones were used in addition to the usual cameras for the recording.

The special edition includes a 100-page special photo book and a 100-minute documentary film of all the live house and hall performances. The first limited edition includes a video from the "Note" album release event. The standard edition includes the making of the album "Note" and a CD with live sound clips.

To celebrate the release of the album, an advance screening of the live performance and the documentary will be held in high quality sound on a large screen. It has also been decided that the "Ryo Nishikido "Note" Exhibition in OIOI (tentative)" will be held at Yurakucho Marui in Tokyo from March 4th to 21st, where visitors can experience Nishikido's world view. The exhibition will feature costumes and musical instruments used in the show, as well as screenings of previously unreleased footage, panel exhibitions, and recreations of his private spaces.

So, if you happened to check out my @instagram stories yesterday, you may remember me mentioning a book signing that I really wanted to go to BUT we attended a birthday party instead! . . . Even though I knew we would not make it, I encouraged everyone to go and support the amazing author/illustrator @vashtiharrison and her awesome book “Little Leaders, Bold Women I Black History” !! As for me, I just prayed she would come back to DC and we would catch her another time!!! . . . Well, that “another time” was TODAY!!! This morning at 10:15, I checked her InstaStory and she said she would be signing books at @duendedistrict pop up shop until 11:30. . . . My daughter and I got ready super quick and raced over there. And let me tell you it was soooo oooo amazing! . . . Confession: I was star struck 🙈🤩 and so awkwardly nervous (Classic Maya 🤣😂) but my lil firecracker is super outgoing so this was a breeze for her! . . . She walked up to #vashtiharrison and said “We have this book” and she replied “I wrote this book” and my daughter started to giggle! . . . At that moment, I had to fight back tears because I understood the enormity of this moment. . . . The moment where my daughter meets a #childrensbook author that is a women and a womanofcolor nonetheless that shares the stories of other groundbreaking women of color! This moment is an exemplary example of why #representationmatters . . . My daughter has been saying all afternoon that she is an author and a Little Leaders! It’s so dope. . . . .
