Aku di November

Menghabiskan akhir pekan di bulan november tahun ini dengan menciptakan momen bersama si 'mawar tak berduri'.

Siapa yang tak kesal akhir pekan yang harusnya bisa beristirahat dengan tenang, malah disibukkan dengan kegiatan organisasi yang beruntun? Aku lah orang yang kesal itu. Aku tau aku tak sesibuk orang lain yang di akhir pekannya bahkan tak ada waktu istirahat, tapi aku merasa perlu untuk otak dan tubuhku beristirahat. Tugas yang menumpuk dan ujian yang beruntun membuatku merasa lelah jika tubuh ini tak direhatkan barang sejenak. Tapi mau bagaimana lagi, aku punya amanah juga tuntutan untuk menghadiri kegiatan organisasi. Jika aku memilih untuk absen, aku pun tak punya alasan tepat yang bisa ku ajukan. Walaupun banyak mengeluh di awal ujungnya aku tetap mengikuti kegiatan tersebut.

Minggu pertama, baru saja memasuki tanggal baru di bulan november aku sudah harus mendatangi acara bookdate dan diskusi isu publik.

Minggu kedua, aku harus merelakan 2 hari waktu liburku untuk mendatangi acara pelatihan dasar organisasi. Acara ini dimulai dari jum'at hingga sabtu, yang artinya juga aku yang baru menyelesaikan sesi perkuliahanku mau tak mau harus mendatangi acara organisasi. Di hari minggu aku kembali keluar dari kontrakan. Pada hari ini aku menjual baju bekas yang dimana kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu program dari divisi yang sedang aku jalani saat ini.

Minggu ketiga, aku bisa bernafas sejenak dari padatnya kegiatanku dari akhir bulan oktober.

Minggu keempat, ini adalah ujung dari perjalanan organisasi yang aku ikuti setahun terakhir. Lagi dan lagi aku mengeluh ketika aku tahu tempat pelaksanaan kegiatan di minggu ini akan diadakan di Bekasi yang mana tempat tersebut jauh dari tempat tinggalku dan menempuh waktu yang lama untuk sampai disana. Bahkan, orang-orang menyebut Bekasi dengan 'planet lain'. Karena rasa tanggung jawab yang ada di diriku pastinya aku ikut kegiatan tersebut dengan mengeluh di awal (sepertinya aku dan mengeluh sudah menjadi satu kesatuan dan tidak dapat dipisahkan). Tak banyak ber-ekskpektasi untuk minggu yang melelahkan ini, tapi nyatanya Allah jadikan indah di akhir perjalanannya. Allah jadikan celetukan dan tawa dari teman-teman sebagai penghibur dari lelahnya minggu ini. Aku tak pernah menyangka di minggu ini dua emosi yang bertentangan diluapkan; senang dan sedih. Aku tak pernah mengharapkan akan ada tangis yang membersamai di dalamnya, tapi begitulah kenyataannya. Kumpulan momen kecil yang tercipta sama dengan momen berharga yang sayang untuk dilupakan.

Minggu kelima, bagian penerimaan. Momen berharga itu begitu melekat, rasanya jiwa ini berhenti di minggu lalu dan untuk sadar pun butuh waktu satu minggu.

November, bulan kesebelas yang penuh cerita.

November mengajakku memetik makna bahwa selalu ada senyum dibalik duka.

Aku bahagia tiba di bulan November ceria.

Ingin rasanya hati tersenyum dalam tawa.

setelah lamanya aku cari orang untuk bisa pergi bookdate, Teh Niken jadi teman baca pertamaku. kebetulan genre kami di drama dan film lumayan mirip. jadinya sering kuracuni banyak buku favoritku, dan beberapa diantaranya ternyata cocok.

pergi ke Kineruku dengan niat baca buku ternyata ga tercapai. tempatnya kelewat nyaman dan bikin betah. kami duduk di samping jendela yang memang bukan di area ramai. jadi ga terganggu sama pengunjung lain atau pegawai yang bolak-balik cek pesanan. obrolan dari A sampai Z-pun dihabiskan sampai toko tutup.

UNESCO to read with Accra at Akra Book Party 2024

Akra Book Party, a special literary product by Read Ghana Read Consult to celebrate the book ecosystem and its relevance in national development, on Unesco World Book day is scheduled to happen at the Mamprobi Gale Community Library on Tuesday, 23 April, 2024 from 10:00 am.

As part part of the event, UNESCO office in Ghana is scheduled to read with participants under a session dubbed “UNESCO reads with Akra”. This segment shall give a platform to a representative from UNESCO office to read a selected book and then climax with a chat session on the theme of the book.

Akra Book Party which is a mini book festival shall also host other interesting activities including dramatic reading in Ga, read and play video games, read and bounce, inter-schools puzzle contest, author-reader connect, read aloud with icons, blast a balloon and read, the reading carnival among others.

There will also be a “Bookdate with Amandzeba”. This session shall host the legendary Ghanaian musician in a read and converse with participants moment, and will also feature some rendition of music from the legend as interlude.

Other activities to be witnessed on the day will be “a book-art experience with Dede Padiki (of GWR Pent-a-thon fame)”, a book reading session with Selma Alhassan (ace Ghanaian broadcast journalist an audio book Conversation with Ama Dadson and author) and books exhibition.

Akra Book Party 2024

The Special Guest of Honour for the event will be the former mayor of Accra and current member of parliament for the Ablekuma South Constituency (which hosts the event), Hon. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije.

Unlike other events, the maiden Akra Book Party prefers a literary conversation as its opening ceremony and shall feature book personalities/stakeholders to lead participants in analyzing the topic “Is the book industry rightly positioned to contribute to the creative economy?”.

Panellists selected for the session are Carl Ampah (National Programme Officer, UNESCO Ghana ), Joseph Baffuour Gyenfi (Executive Director, CopyGhana), Ama Dadson (CEO, AkooBooks Audio Ltd), Emmanuel Nyarko (MD, Town & Country Books) and Obaa Panyin Demay (Nyamedze Onna).

Akra Book Party 2024 is expected to host over 500 participants and is made possible by Read Ghana Read Consult, Osu Children’s Library Fund, Town & Country Books Services, Yumvita Ghana and the Ghana National Association of Private Schools.Participation is free.

Lucunya lagi, ketika aku membuka lagi isi galeri hpku, ternyata sudah penuh dengan dokumentasi-dokumentasi acara ini itu, syuro ini itu. Maksudku, ini beneran sudah sejauh ini ya aku melangkah?

Dalam tidur lelapku aku berkata berulang-ulang kali, "Yuk bangun yuk! karena satu-satunya cara untuk mewujudkan mimpi itu ya BANGUN dari tidurmu"
