Looks like he could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll 🎂 But then accidentally kills you anyway by saying something he should not have said 😅 I’m firmly on the “Hagrid Hagrid Potter, you are named after the bravest man I ever knew” team 💪🏼

some thoughts:
Due to recent life events, I've embarked on the journey of revisiting the Harry Potter saga from the very beginning. Just yesterday, I concluded reading "The Philosopher's Stone," and I must say, the conclusion left a profound impact on me. The way it unfolded felt truly reminiscent of a classic tale.
The resolution, particularly the destruction of the Philosopher's Stone, has been lingering in my thoughts. Dumbledore's poignant explanation to Harry about death being a great journey resonates deeply. The notion that there is no absolute good or evil, only power, as uttered by Professor Quirrell/Voldemort in front of the Mirror of Erised, adds another layer of complexity to the story.
Hermione, in her astute observation, raises a thought-provoking question about Dumbledore's role. Could it be that Dumbledore orchestrated events, manipulating Harry to confront Voldemort and destroy the Stone? Such a possibility seems almost cruel, especially considering Dumbledore's revelation about giving Harry his father's invisibility cloak.
I can't help but wonder about Dumbledore's motives. Is he testing Harry's heart and courage, even at the risk of the boy's potential destruction? There's a certain tension in Dumbledore's confession, almost a nervous laughter, hinting at a deeper purpose.
Reflecting on the entire book, one recurring theme stands out – Harry's desire to be sorted into Gryffindor. However, it makes me contemplate whether his true nature aligns with that house. Perhaps, as the narrative unfolds, it becomes evident that our actions shape our character and personality, transcending our initial inclinations or backgrounds.
Harry's obsession with his parents grows stronger, almost haunted by the Mirror of Erised that reveals his deepest desire to meet his family. It is this pain that propels him towards the final confrontation with Voldemort, almost as if it were an obsession planted in his mind by Albus.

'Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone' Throwback Book Review
It’s hard to believe that it’s been over two decades since the release of the first book in the Harry Potter series, The Philosopher’s Stone, but its magic still remains as captivating as ever. As a self-proclaimed Potterhead, I recently took a trip down memory lane and re-read the entire Harry Potter series, and I have to say, it’s been quite the magical experience. It’s incredible how a series…

A Completely Honest Review Rant about the Unofficial Advanced Potion-Making
Tumblr media
Oh boy ... Where to start? I don't mean to be rude, especially considering this book is not officially endorsed by the HP franchise (author? what author?), but if you are prone to going mad at inaccuracies I recommend you approach this book with a quill ready to make corrections.
As an avid Half Blood Prince enjoyer, I am still happy to have purchased this book simply for the serotonin I get from looking at it, but (as the enthusiast I am) I groaned upon turning the page to the prologue. Immediately, in the same handwriting as young Snape's, next to Slughorn's name is written: "horcruxes?" It could be rationalized that this was meant to be Harry's writing, however there is no notable change in handwriting between Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. As we all know, horcruxes are not something Snape would be aware of in his youth or, from what can be gleaned from canon, ever.
Further, the book includes knowledge of Nicholas Flamel's death and the destruction of the Philosopher's Stone - something that would not occur for at the very least over a decade after the book would have been published for Snape's use in his sixth year.
And, correct me if I'm wrong, but the inclusion of Wolfsbane in the book (and its mention several times) is inaccurate to the timeline of the HP books. (I will not expound upon this point for fear I'm misremembering.)
Finally, "Sectumsempra" or any other spells Snape invented are not present at all in the book despite their explicit mention in canon.
Overall, I would still recommend buying this book if you are an avid fan since it does include interesting information that may or may not be canon-compliant, and the cover looks spectacular, in my opinion. I apologize for my rant, I had no one else to tell it to.

Harry Potter Movie Marathon
*An old entry in my journal from earlier this year when I handled my 'what i watch' journal manually. Although the review is brief and somewhat lacking in hindsight, I want this to be a part of my record here.*
What follows is a very quick and short review of the Harry Potter movies. I binged the movies with one of my favorite people in the world, Sree Lakshmi, during my summer break. We watched eight movies in the span of five days. It was the best week of my break. It was also the last week of my break. i had an amazing time with her and I know this is something I will cherish forever. We connected and bonded over our shared love and snacks and mugs of soy milk. We discussed the movies, the inaccuracies and the details we had forgotten. The ratings may be a little off, due to the memories attached to them. Hopefully future rewatches will yield more accurate reviews and detailed comments.

My Rating: 9/10.
Points have been docked due to the negligence of Peeves. Overall, a good watch. A comfort movie. Love the magical elements. Love the CGI. Very impressive.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Watched On: 03.06.2024 Duration: 2h 41m Language: English
My Rating: 9/10.
Overall, a good watch. Things are still okay. Good humor. Young Harry, Ron and Hermione are always so much fun to watch.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)
Watched On: 03.06.2024 - 04.06.2024 Duration: 2h 22m Language: English
My Rating: 9.6/10.
Despite the left out scenes and the changes when compared to the book, one of my most favorite films. They did this good. Managed to not screw up much.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)
Watched On: 04.06.2024 Duration: 2h 46m Language: English
My Rating: 9/10.
Love the Triwizard Tournament tasks. Would have rated a little lower cuz of how dark it gets. But Cedric Diggory deserves extra points.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
Watched On: 05.06.2024 Duration: 2h 18m Language: English
My Rating: 9.6/10.
A high rating despite the excruciating pain, cuz I absolutely love Dumbledore's Army. Also the acting in this is spectacular!
Tumblr media

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009)
Watched On: 07.06.2024 Duration: 2h 33m Language: English
My Rating: 6/10.
Gets really dark. Not much light anymore. It's all angst and pain and very little fluff and fun. A good movie in terms of plot development though. 10/10 for the plot. Just not for entertainment purposes I feel.
Tumblr media

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)
Watched On: 07.06.2024 Duration: 2h 26m Language: English
My Rating: 6/10.
A good decision to split the book into two movies. It is still very plot heavy and got boring at times. They managed to add elements of humor. But still, very dark.
Tumblr media
(Photo credits go to the rightful owners)
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)
Watched On: 07.06.2024 Duration: 2h 26m Language: English
My Rating: 6/10.
A lot more action. But very disappointed with the inaccuracies with the ending.
Rewatch? You bet I will. Every. Single. Movie. The feels always hit out of nowhere and I will find myself reaching out to the books and rewatching the movies. This is a part of me, a part of my soul. I will never get bored. This is my oxygen.

Sparkling Unicorn Princess
Dear Caroline:
A couple of days ago I finished HPMOR, which I have decided to include as a 'Carolingian' book even if you have never written a review of it or a post about it in your tumblr (there are some that quote it, paraphrase it or hint at rereadings by you). This brings to mind other books I expect you to have read but can find no explicit reference to, like The Precipice, Superintelligence, Doing Good Better or The Scout Mindset.
The book has grown on me. I found the first chapters a tad boring, and had the overall feeling that the whole book was a self-professed nerd trap, with an intentionally flattering depiction of its protagonists as ubersmart kids whom their parents and schools have very little to teach them, and who should step aside and let the younglings achieve World Optimization, and with a Yudkowskian agenda of getting you interested in his pet peeves for saving the world. But even with all that taken into account, it was rather a nice and instructive read. I can appreciate Yudkowsky's popularity as a writer after this.
I am pretty convinced that you have patterned yourself on his Hermione to no small degree, too, and I can appreciate the paralellisms, even if right now you are more of a fallen Hermione. But there's hope, at least in me, that you've be reborn from your ashes like the Phoenix.
I made a short review of Eliezer's book. I'll be including it in the lines below as a conclusion to this post:
This is a VERY long book, so I'd like to start with a short appraisal, and then comment some relevant aspects.
Overall, this is a very interesting read, modulo you being interested in: 1) the Harry Potter world (and fanfics!) 2) Rationalism - detecting human thought biases, rational decision-making, optimization, AI dangers
Okay, let's begin with size: the book is humongous. I read a digital version, so a rough estimate of its over 600k words is War and Peace (shorter, actually) or the Bible. It is divided into 123 (relatively) small chapters.
You can find detailed summaries of the plot elsewhere -or in other reviews- but very succinctly: this is an alternative Harry Potter universe in which Harry was raised up in an academic family and learnt the basics of science and rationality by the age of 11. The story more or less parallels that of the first volume of the Harry Potter series (The Philosopher's Stone), as Harry's first year of school and his dealings with the figures that mostly appear in that book, but with a completely different twist.
In many ways, it is quite a didactic book, as I suspect the author's main intention in writing it was creating a 'light' introduction to Rationalism and its key ideas, and particularly focused for young, intellectually achieving and/or outstanding nerds, as a way of attracting them to the cause. It is a 'nerd trap' in the best sense of the term, and has proved enormously successful in this regard. The main protagonists are 11-12 year-olds who are vastly more intelligent and rational than all the adults, and who therefore manage to save and improve the world much better than their elders ever could.
I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable it is to read, although I am probably biased because I am a nerd myself (not a young one, though) and am interested in a lot of the 'didactic' stuff it furthers. I was not much interested in the original Harry Potter saga (watched the movies, haven't read any of the books). It stands pretty well on its own, I feel, but there are many references and intertextualities that really need slots of knowledge of the inspiration material to be understood and appreciated well (conversely, as I said, you can get that from the movies, and particularly the first one). I had never imagined a priori that I would be reading a fanfiction (and even less a +2000 page one), but this book deserves it, and is in that regard as unusual and weird (again, in a good way) as its author.
To conclude: this is an instructive and enjoyable read, which I recommend if you share any of the interests mentioned at the beginning (any of the two will suffice). Bear in mind its huge size, and that it will take you months to read it. The first chapters (the author mentions it himself in a note) can be pretty slow-going. The book, it is important also to say, can be downloaded for free or read online -in fact, I don't think it is easy to actually buy a print copy.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers / Philosophers Stone
Tumblr media
Main Review...
Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone is the first book in the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. This book, like most introductions to stories, is mainly focused on the introduction of the main characters. It illustrates Harry Potter's past, Voldemort's uprising, and the building of relationships between certain characters. It introduces key characters like Hermione Granger the smart, bookish, rule follower, and Ron Weasley, the funny, brave, and red-headed boy, both being Harrys' friends. It also starts the rivalry between Harry and Draco, a pretentious Slytherin, and Harry and Professor Snape, the potions teacher.
Being the base of the series it doesn't dive too deep into the lore and instead gathers a basic understanding of the wizarding world and who it contains. This, while being a little boring due to the slight lack of action, is a necessary step in the build-up of the following books.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character Reviews...
Harry Potter:
The first book makes it very clear that Harry Potter is still figuring himself out, he is still discovering secrets from his past that were hidden from him and recovering from the abuse he suffered through his relationship with the Dursleys. This makes the readers feel bad for Harry and hopeful for his life in the wizarding world and what that may bring to him.
He is shown as an already skillful wizard as he fights his DADA teacher, who is helping the Dark Lord rise to power. While to me this seems quite unrealistic that in the final encounter, he overcomes Voldemort and Quirrel himself, not by a duel, but by his quick thinking and cleverness, especially as a first year, this does showcase his bravery through the ability to think straight while in mortal danger. I think this book shows a very good light on Harry Potter, while also keeping a very surface-level awareness of his personality.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hermione Granger
In this novel, Hermione is made out to be a very dedicated student, someone whose sole focus is to learn. She is seen as a sort of stick in the mud by both Harry and Ron at the beginning of the book, being gossiped about by both. After having been saved by them, she quickly warms up to the pair, making their duo a trio. This really represents her desperation to fit in and make friends that she would still choose the two people who had been so rude to her to befriend.
For the rest of the book she helps Harry on his mission to stop their main suspect, Professor Snape from finding the Philosopher's Stone, which she succeeds in with Professor Quirrel instead. Without Hermione on Harry's side, it is quite clear that they would not have even made it past Fluffy the three-headed dog. She is one of the characters who we actually do seem to have a fairly deep understanding of, at least personality-wise. She is also one of the characters whose personality changes the most throughout the series.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron Weasley
Ron Weasley is the second youngest of seven children, all but one being boys. In the movies Ron is shown as comedic relief, most of his lines being jokes. In the books, he is also shown as the funny one, but also bravely and fiercely defending his friends.
As well as the previously mentioned traits, Ron is also quite a jealous character. Being the youngest boy in the family, he has a lot to live up to, his older brother Percy being prefect and getting perfect grades, his brother Bill working successfully at Gringotts, Charlie dangerously taming dragons, and Fred and George being beloved by all of Hogwarts for being prank masters. This trait is shown best in the Mirror of Erised scene. The Mirror of Erised shows one's deepest desires, Harry sees himself standing next to his deceased parents, Lily and James Potter. Ron on the other hand sees himself with a prefects badge and a Quidditch trophy. This shows how, like Hermione, he so desperately wants to fit in, in this case, with his siblings. This is a common theme throughout the series, whether he is jealous of his siblings or Harry, and this shows a deep-set insecurity that really humanizes Rons' character especially.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Notes...
This is my first review, and Harry Potter is a deeply beloved series to me. While this only goes over the strict basics of the book I hope this is enough to spark interest in the series and inspire someone to start their journey into the wizarding world.
I hope this post does Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone justice, and if you have any recommendations, constructive criticism, or requests please tell me.

Do you think there will be another J.K Rowling in fiction again, in terms of success?
I’m a writer, and she’s very inspirational to me (outside her problematic behavior)
Is it too far fetched to believe that I, or even someone like me, could achieve success as she had in the early 2000’s/late 90’s due to just how fiction has changed /how adults/children perceive or even consume fiction now? (It seems that YA is the most popular now, and childrens fiction is written in the thousands all day everyday)
Are all the good ideas written already?
Thank you!
I don't think it's that all the good ideas are written already, but rather that media has become fractured since the Harry Potter books came out. When the Harry Potter books were being written, there was still such a thing as a "dominant" culture. You read the books that people you knew recommended, or that you saw someone on TV talking about, and so most people were reading the same few things. There weren't really that many options unless you were someone who liked to take chances on books. You couldn't, like, go on Amazon and look at people's reviews or see what random people on Facebook are talking about to try and make a decision about what to read next. But now with the rise of social media, people are getting highly tailored recommendations that suit their unique interests, and so there's less of an ability for everyone to be recommended the same book, and less interest in reading something just because everyone else is.
For example, the most purchased novel on Amazon this year was Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. It's been on the New York Times bestseller list for over 60 weeks. But as of last month, it had only sold about 4 million copies. And Sarah J Maas, who seems to be the most popular fantasy author right now, has only sold 14 million copies of all of her 16 books combined. For comparison, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone has sold 120 million copies, and each of the other books have topped 65 million. Admittedly, that's not a totally fair comparison, because Philosopher's Stone actually did kind of poorly in its first few years of being released and Lessons in Chemistry may continue to gather steam for the rest of the year. But my point is just that I don't think you can do the numbers now that you used to be able to do, at least, not as easily, just because our relationship to books has changed. From my perspective, I think we've gotten to a point where it's better to be a niche group of people's favorite writer than to try to appeal to everyone.

In the past few days I’ve struggled a lot with focusing, I didn’t do as much as I was supposed to. This week was set to catch up on a few previous lessons which, due to their unexpected complexity, took me longer than expected. This situation generated a bad mood that, in turn, influenced my enthusiasm for studying and I’ve been less productive. Unfortunately, I’ve realized that my mood greatly influences the activities I do. I’ve learned that for me the “main” activity of the day (which for the most part is studying) has a role in the performance of all the others. As a result when I don’t achieve my study goals I unconsciously sabotage myself by not taking care of me (which means not eating healthy, not finding time to exercise or for other fun activities). This leads to a reduction in the commitment to study and can sometimes translate into wasting a day not studying not having fun neither. Such a mechanism can be toxic in the long run and it’s right to pay attention to it, prevent intrusive thoughts and manage small but significant emotional academic disappointments. My main focus this month is to deal with unforeseen situations that I don’t always manage well when I study from home. I also had to study for my biology midterm this week; since it was held today, I spent the whole day reviewing my lectures. I’m quite satisfied with myself, although a part of me wishes I’d done more. The next few days until Monday will be spent catching up on lessons I’ve not yet done and establishing a more productive routine when I’m not at uni. Another goal would be to get back to reading. For the past couple of years reader’s block has been pushing me to start a new book and then leave it unfinished and I’d like to overcome this phase. Three months ago I started Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone (big fan of the movies, never read the books), a different genre than usual to encourage myself to read, but shortly after I abandoned it. Now I don’t know if it’s appropriate to pick up HP where I left off or to start a new one that can stimulate me more. Among the most inspiring options in my library I’ve collected a classic (Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë), a gothic novel (Asylum by Patrick McGrath) and two queer volumes (Call Me by Your Name by André Aciman and Carol by Patricia Highsmith). I haven’t yet decided what to do, maybe I’ll end up leaving myself an open road by starting a new one and continuing Harry Potter when I feel like it.
Productivity:
studied for my biology midterm
reviewed some genetics notes
started my study journal
Self-care:
ate healthy after days of junk food

Legendary: Harry Potter
A film that I will do a critical review on is a 2011 fantasy film called “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”. The director and screenwriter are David Yates and Steve Kloves respectively. This film is the second part continued from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.” For your information, this film is the finale of a film series, “Harry Potter,” consisting of eight seasons and adapted from J. K. Rowling’s seven books. Also, this film is from “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” by J. K. Rowling divided into two parts, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and 2.”
Tumblr media
First of all, let us see a little bit of general information about this entertainment piece in brief. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” and all of its previous seasons’ settings mainly at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry located in the Highland of Scottish. Hogwarts has four houses, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin, to divide their students under each house’s professors. Here are the names and summaries of the eight seasons of the Harry Potter film series.
(Spoiler alert!)
(1) Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) is the prologue that is the introduction to the Harry Potter film series. His mom protected him by sacrificing her life on that day he was tended to be killed. Harry is chosen to be in Gryffindor and meets his two best friends named Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. The Philosopher's Stone is wanted to rescue the Dark Lord, and also Harry is again firstly saved from the maternal love that protects him.
(2) Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), the place where Ron’s sister, Ginny Weasley is used to bait to kill Harry Hotter by the mysterious and dangerous creature, Basilisk living in it. Harry Potter can save Ginny and kill Basilisk safely with the help of the school headmaster, Albus Dumbledore’s phoenix named Fawkes whose tears can heal him from Basilisk's poisonous bite.
(3) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Sirius Black, escapes from the wizard prison and comes to see Harry tell him about his father, James Potter. Sirius Black’s truth is also revealed that he is Harry’s godfather one of the Marauders, mischievous friends of James.
(4) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) is another season recommended to watch. There is the Triwizard Tournament taking place at Hogwarts. It is a competition consisting of three champions from three wizardry schools, Hogwarts united wizardry school, Drumstrang the male wizardry school, and Beauxbatons the female wizardry school.
(5) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) is when Harry Potter tries telling others about the comeback of the Dark Lord, but no one cares so he establishes Dumbledore’s Army following a group of wizards who are against the Dark Lord. The prophecy tells us that Harry and Voldemort cannot live if the other survives.
(6) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009) is the season that some of Voldemort’s seven Horcruxes, magical objects that Voldemort parts his spirit into them, are revealed and destroyed and they must be all destroyed to defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort.
(7.1) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 (2010) first mentions the three Deathly Hallows, the Invisibility Cloak that its wearer will not be seen, the Resurrection Stone that can resurrect dead people in form of ghosts, and the Elder Wand that is the strongest and undefeatable wand in the wizardry world. It is told through The Tales of Beedle the Bard (written by J.K. in reality) that the owner of these three powerful magical objects will be immune to death.
(7.2) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 (2011) is mainly about finding the remaining Voldemort’s Horcruxes and destroying it to win against him and save Hogwarts after Albus Dumbledore’s death and his ingenious plan in helping Harry defeat the Dark Lord.
From my point of view, I think that the two approaches that help display the critical aspects of this entertainment piece are the genre approach and the auteur approach since any national approach’s notions cannot be seen at all.
Tumblr media
For the genre approach, it is an epic absolutely legendary fantasy feature film among other fantasy films that I have seen. The fantasy genre belongs to fantastic themes like magic, supernatural elements, folklore, and myths mingled together. This genre is another speculative fiction. This film genre has various subgenres, too. For example, fantasy mysteries like eight films from the Harry Potter film series, fantasy superheroes like Justice League (2017), fantasy musicals like My Little Pony (1981), and romantic fantasy like Twilight (2008). In general, each film only focuses on one particular fantasy film element. For instance, Twilight (2008) is only about vampires and werewolves, and My Little Pony (1981) is about the power of magic or friendship is magic.  But when it comes to the Harry Potter film series, prevailing elements that can be seen widespread in fantasy films are mostly mixed used in the Harry Potter film series such as the main characters are wizards and witches who can cast spells, enchantments, or even curses. Other magical creatures like dragons, elves, ghosts, vampires, and werewolves also can be seen often in this film. There are also magical objects like the three Deathly Hallows made by the devil, the Pensieve sink that allows you to see others’ memory, and the seven Horcruxes that contain pieces of one’s spirit. The universal theme of love is mixed here with supernatural things, too. There is the power of love that can be seen through magic whether it is maternal love, friendship, or even one-sided love. It can be seen that “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” mixes most elements of fantasy genre films smoothly, and that makes this film outstanding from other fantasy films in common. Moreover, the Harry Potter film series started with its prologue called “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” which was released in 2001 so there were not many epic fantasy films to compare with. It can be concluded that Harry Potter films are the historical distinctions of this genre and a prototype of other fantasy films that picked some elements from this film series and developed them individually but not as epic as this series.
Tumblr media
For the auteur approach, the filmmakers of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” can be considered a dream team to be honest. The team consists of the Director named David Yates, the screenwriter named Steve Kloves, the composer named Alexandre Desplat, the film editor named Mark Day, and the producers David Heyman, David Barron, and J.K. Rowling herself. There are many others in the positions mentioned but I will mainly talk about those who have participated in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”, and also Part 1 since they have connected. David Yates directed Harry Potter seasons 5-7.2. Steve Kloves did the screenplay for all seasons except for the fifth. Alexandre Desplat composed all seasons. Mark Day edited seasons 5 to 7.2. David Heyman is a producer of all seasons, and David Barron started the fifth season while J.K. only does seasons 7.1 and 7.2. It can be seen that all of them participated in making at least two seasons that are “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and 2.” So, they worked together very well as a teamwork to make this film an epic epilogue of the Harry Potter film series. They control how witchcraft and wizardry fantasy films look when it comes out to the public audience. Historical conditions of these auteurs are quite difficult to discuss because there was any fantasy film that mixed up almost every supernatural and magical thing altogether like Harry Potter was made of.  The auteurist unity implies their studio system that all the filmmakers have independence and make this film series a noticeable influence on other fantasy films in the industry afterward.  However, the Harry Potter series has its spin-off called “Fantastic Beasts” (also written by J.K.) that consists of three seasons and ongoing; Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022). Some of the members participated in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and 2,” concluding David Yates, J.K Rowling, David Heyman, and Steve Kloves takes part in the Fantastic Beasts film series, too. Their role may be switched in filmmaking. Even though the Fantastic Beasts film series may not be as popular and grand as how Harry Potter was but as you can see some similar elements are shared between these two series since the filmmakers are almost the same as Harry Potter and it is a spin-off that is somewhat connected in story. In summary, these filmmakers are somehow considered a dream team of epic fantasy films.
Tumblr media
The auteur approach used in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2” makes images for the casts of this film, and all the films in the film series. The film makes team successfully done making the trio of Gryffindor, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger alive until now by Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson respectively. Also, Lord Voldemort becomes a model for an evil character with a distorted face even though Ralph Fiennes is not recognized because it is not his real face. Nevertheless, they are unforgettable after watching the film. When Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were, people can recognize them immediately. The team and J.K. had done it incredibly and memorably.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, the genre approaches, the production team, and all of the filmmakers had created an extremely high bar that any other fantasy film at present can beat this film series at all. How can a fantasy movie be grand and epic like this again I am still wondering and patiently waiting for it soon.
Tumblr media
All in all, when it comes to a fantasy film made by a great film team, the Harry Potter film series is a must. Even if you are a Potterhead, a person who fell in love with the Harry Potter film series, or a muggle, a person knowing nothing about the wizardry world, I recommend you watch “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”. I recommend the series’ epilogue instead of its prologue because it is the best franchise ending of a film series in my opinion. If you start one season, any season, you will want to know a lot more about it and watch the rest in no time I guarantee.
