Could you recommend some Swedish series to watch? Like stuff that is not on Netflix because I already watched all of them.😅 Just got a VPN and would like to dig into some of the local streaming services. Thank you!
Say no more, anon!
I'm gonna sort them by streaming platform. Some of these might not work for you but I'll list the ones I can think of.
SVT Play (these shows are free)
Händelser vid vatten (1 season, complete)
Creepy af, made me super uncomfortable but not in a bad way. Pernilla August is in it. Good acting. A thriller. Also based on a famous book.
Bron (4 seasons, complete)
BEST SHIT EVER!!! This one is the best of the best. Swedish/Danish crime drama. Soooogood. Must see.
Kalifat (1 season, complete)
Dark AF but sooooooooooo good. It will pucnh you in the gut. It's about a young woman who lives in Raqqa with her radicalised husband that is an IS warrior. This has been on netflix so my appologies if you have watched it already.
Fröken Frimans Krig (4 seasons, complete)
I've not watched this but Edvin is in it. It's mainly about women's fight for their rights in the early 1900's.
Other shows I've not watched but I've heard good stuff about
Springfloden Jordskott Taelgia Vår tid är nu Innan vi dör
TV4 play (former Cmore)
Gåsmamman (6 seasons, complete)
Had to include gåsmamman, of course. Because Edvin is in it and because I love the story. Scandi crime, very dark and violent.
Nattryttarna (1 season, complete)
Also very dark, based on true stories. Takes place at a fancy stable where alot of young horse girls work but get abused sexually by the owner. Frida Argento has a small role in it.
Ondskan (Evil) (1 season, currently airing)
Based on the book by a famous Swedish author. Takes place at a fancy boarding school during the 50s. Also dark and depressing.
Estonia (1 season, complete)
Based on the real Estonia accident. Estonia was a large Swedish/Estonian ship that sunk in a huge accident that killed around 900 people. The story focuses on the aftermath of the accident and mainly the investigation process.
Knutby (1 season, season 2 in the making but they are stand alones)
Knutby is also based on real events that took place in 2024. I dont want to say too much and spoil it but the story takes place in a very religious setting, in a christian church.
Viaplay
Älska mig (2 seasons, complete)
A comedy, with some darkness (but not really). Very funny. Edvin has a role in the second season. I love this series. I highly recommend
Heder (3 seasons, not sure if there will be more)
Heder is about four strong female lawers that work with female victims and has their own law firm. Of course nothing is smooth sailing with them and there is alot of drama. I love the cast of this one.
Thunder in my heart (2 seasons, not sure if there will be more)
A comedy/drama with a mix of comedy and darkness. Not my favourite but critics love it.
Leva life (1 season, I think complete)
I've not seen this but it's about a young woman living her best life when she gets diagnosed with cancer.

Hi again! :) I just started to watch Scooby Doo and Guess Who today, and I love the concept of introducing celebs. I love it because its not new, it's a callback to the og episodes with sonny and Cher, and batman!
If the show hadn't been cancelled, who would you want to guest star? (I watched a clip of the gang meeting their voice actors and it made my day, I was feeling down. I only thought they would meet frank welker too so it was a really nice surprise!)

Freedom by Jonathan Franzen (And there is also this other book that appears in some other scenes, Wille has the old paperback edition. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_(Franzen_novel)
Tumblr media
Does anyone know what books Wille are returning in the last episode? I’m only seeing the Karin Boye and Kjell Westö at the top and then I’ve tried and failed to make screen shots of it. I just want to know what books Wille has read. Also I feel like people seem to miss the fact that Wille likes to read? Even though we haven’t seen him actually read, he always have books in his room and the Karin Boye quote on the wall❤️ Also the Kjell Westö one looked really interesting and relevant to the general plot of the show with class and love in class differences so I might have to read that one but I’m just so curious about Wille’s other books.

94th Academy Awards: Trivia!
This incredibly long awards season is officially behind us! The Oscars brought us a slap and a lot of wacky bits of trivia (most of them about our Best Picture winner). Let's start with our CODA-centric bits of trivia first.
With its three wins, including Best Picture, CODA is the seventh Best Picture winner ever to win every single award it's nominated for. It joins the likes of Wings (1928, 2 noms and wins), Grand Hotel (1932, 1 nom and win), It Happened One Night (1934, 5 noms and wins), Gigi (1958, 9 noms and wins), The Last Emperor (1987, 9 noms and wins), and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003, 11 noms and wins).
CODA is the first film to win Best Picture without a Best Director and Best Film Editing nomination since Grand Hotel in 1932. An almost ninety-year streak has been broken!
Siân Heder is the third woman to ever direct a Best Picture winner, joining Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, 2009) and Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, 2020).
Distributed by AppleTV+, CODA is the first film from a streaming service to win Best Picture. It's also the first Best Picture winner to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
With actors Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur, and Daniel Durant, CODA is the first Best Picture with multiple principal roles played by Deaf actors.
CODA is the third remake to win Best Picture, joining Ben-Hur (1959) and The Departed (2006). Like The Departed, CODA is an English-language remake of a foreign-language film: in this case, the 2014 French film La Famille Bélier. Unlike CODA, La Famille Bélier had a cast consisting of mostly hearing actors, facing severe blowback from the French Deaf community.
Best Supporting Actor winner Troy Kotsur is the second Deaf actor and the first Deaf man to win an acting Oscar.
CODA is the first Best Picture winner whose title is an acronym.
CODA is an international co-production from the United States, France, and Canada. This makes it the first Canadian film to win Best Picture and the second French film to win, following 2011's The Artist.
Director and writer Siân Heder is the first solo woman to win Best Adapted Screenplay since Emma Thompson (Sense and Sensibility, 1995).
CODA is the first Best Picture winner with a female protagonist without a Best Actress nomination since My Fair Lady (1964).
CODA is the sixth film to win Best Picture without a Best Director nomination, joining Wings (1928), Grand Hotel (1932), Driving Miss Daisy (1989), Argo (2012), and Green Book (2018).
CODA is the third movie to win Best Picture without a DGA nomination, joining Driving Miss Daisy (1989) and Hamlet (1948).
This marks the second time that a movie about queer cowboys won Best Director but lost Best Picture to an indie drama that starts with the letter "C."
With her Best Director win, Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog) becomes the third woman to win the award, joining Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker, 2009) and Chloé Zhao (Nomadland, 2020), as well as the first woman to win both Best Director and Best Screenplay. She previously won for 1993's The Piano. This win also marks the first time women have won Best Director in consecutive years.
The Power of the Dog is the first film to win Best Director and nothing else since Mike Nichols' won for The Graduate (1967). It's also the second Netflix film to win Best Director but not Best Picture, joining Alfonso Cuarón's Roma (2018). It's the second film with a queer protagonist to win Best Director, after Ang Lee's Brokeback Mountain (2005).
Jane Campion is the second Kiwi director after Peter Jackson to win Best Director. She is also, at 67, the third-oldest Best Director winner ever. Only 69-year-old Roman Polanski (The Pianist, 2002) and 74-year-old Clint Eastwood (Million Dollar Baby, 2004) were older at the time of their win.
At 178 minutes, Drive My Car is the third-longest film to win Best International Feature: only Fanny and Alexander (188 minutes, 1983) and War and Peace (422 minutes[!!!], 1969) have it beat.
Drive My Car is also the fifth Japanese film to win the award, joining the ranks of Departures (2008), Samurai: The Legend of Musashi (1955), Gate of Hell (1954), and Rashomon (1951). This win makes Japan the third most-award country in this category. It's a distant third, however: France is in second with 12 wins, while Italy is in first with 14.
Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) is now the first Oscar-winning actor to be openly LGBTQIA+ at the time of their win.
Ariana DeBose is also the first Afro-Latina actor to win an Oscar, as well as the third Latina to win an Oscar, after Rita Moreno (West Side Story, 1961) and Mercedes Ruehl (The Fisher King, 1991). Depressingly, Moreno, Ruehl, and DeBose all won Best Supporting Actress exactly thirty years apart.
Two actors have now won Oscars for playing Anita in West Side Story: Rita Moreno and Ariana DeBose. This makes Anita the third role ever to win multiple Oscars, and the first played by women. The others are Vito Corleone in The Godfather (Marlon Brando, Best Actor 1972) and The Godfather: Part II (Robert De Niro, Best Supporting Actor 1974) and the Joker in The Dark Knight (Heath Ledger, Best Supporting Actor 2008) and Joker (Joaquin Phoenix, Best Actor 2019).
Ariana DeBose is also the third actor to win an Oscar for a film directed by Steven Spielberg. The only others are Daniel Day-Lewis (Best Actor 2012, Lincoln) and Mark Rylance (Best Supporting Actor 2015, Bridge of Spies).
Ariana DeBose is the third original Broadway cast member of Hamilton to receive an Oscar nomination, joining Lin-Manuel Miranda (nominated for Best Song for Moana, 2016, and Encanto, 2021) and Leslie Odom, Jr. (nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Song for One Night in Miami in 2020). She's the first one to win.
With her Best Actress win for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Jessica Chastain is the eighth actor from The Help (2011) to win an Oscar!
The Eyes of Tammy Faye is the sixth movie in the 21st century to win Best Actress and at least one other award, with the others being: Million Dollar Baby (2004), The Iron Lady (2011), La La Land (2016), Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), and Nomadland (2020).
Jessica is now tied with Helen as the most common Best Actress name: three separate Jessicas have won the award -- Tandy, Lange, and Chastain.
Both winners for Best Actor and Actress, Will Smith and Jessica Chastain, won on their third nomination.
With Will Smith's Best Actor win for King Richard, two-time Oscar-nominee Djimon Hounsou is now the only Black actor in Oscar history with multiple nominations and no wins.
Will Smith is the fifth Black actor to win Best Actor, and the first since Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland, 2006). Coincidentally, Whitaker won over Smith's last nominations, for The Pursuit of Happyness.
All three of Will Smith's acting nominations have come for playing real people: Richard Williams in King Richard (2021), Chris Gardner in The Pursuit of Happyness (2006), and Muhammed Ali in Ali (2001).
Will Smith is now the 17th(!) actor nominated at the 74th Academy Awards (2001/02) to win an Oscar. The only nominees from that year without a win are Ethan Hawke, Ian McKellen, and Tom Wilkinson.
The elephant in the room: this year's ceremony marked the first time an Oscars presenter has been physically struck onstage by an audience member. Roughly half an hour before winning Best Actor, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for making an ableist, misogynistic, and generally shitty joke about Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Billie Eilish is the first person born in the 21st century to win an Oscar! I feel about 100 years old.
Billie Eilish and Finneas O'Connell (No Time to Die) are the first brother/sister pair to win an Oscar together.
"No Time to Die" is the third Bond song to win Best Song, joining "Skyfall" (2015) and "Writing's on the Wall" (2015).
There were at least three Sally Bowleses in the Dolby Theatre on Sunday night, between Liza Minnelli, Jessie Buckley, and Judi Dench. Where were Emma Stone and Michelle Williams?!
Where'd You Go, Denis?: Dune is the first film to win more than five Oscars without a Best Director nomination.
Dune is also the first film to win more than five Oscars since La La Land (2016).
Hans Zimmer won his second Oscar this year for Dune. He won his first Oscar 27 years ago for The Lion King (1994), giving him the longest gap between wins in the Best Score category in history.
This is the first year in Oscar history where none of the films that won multiple Oscars were nominated for Best Director: this year, only Dune, CODA, and The Eyes of Tammy Faye won multiple awards. The Best Director nominees either won one award or none: The Power of the Dog (Director), Drive My Car (International Feature), West Side Story (Supporting Actress), Belfast (Original Screenplay), and Licorice Pizza (nothing).
Encanto is the fourth Disney film to win Best Animated Feature. It's also the first time a Disney film has won the award over a Pixar film.
This year's ceremony also marked the first time multiple awards were presented before the television broadcast. From where I was sitting in my living room, this shameful decision contributed nothing of value to the broadcast. Let's hope next year is an improvement on this shitshow.
Presenting the day before her 36th birthday, Lady Gaga is the youngest Best Picture presenter since a 27-year-old Eddie Murphy presented in 1988.

Looking at life from both sides
(Review of ‘CODA’ watched on the 31st of January 2022)
In the beginning of 2021, Sian Heder's 'CODA' became an instant crowd pleaser at Sundance taking home both the director, grand jury and audience award as well as a record breaking acquisition by Apple. Yet, I remember seeing people asking whether it would just fall in the slipstream of 'Sound of Metal' and be overlooked come the 2022 awards season due to the surprising success of Metal during last year's season. Luckily, that's not the case. CODA is still here, there and everywhere. Along with 'Sound of Metal' it is another great example of how to make films about marginalised groups with its focus on a fishing family of four in which Emilia Jones' Ruby is the only hearing member, making her a 'child of deaf adults' or CODA. The awards success of CODA (so far) shows that it's more than just a sweet, heartwarming coming-of-age film, but how come?
The film starts at sea, where we see Ruby with her family on their trawler. She sings loudly (to Etta James’ ‘Something’s Got A hold On Me’); her father and brother are there, but being deaf they never hear her singing. In a way she's singing for someone while singing all on her own. As she starts her last year in high school, the presence of fellow student Miles makes her pick Choir class, because as she says to her friend "I sing all the time”, but is it really Miles that draws her there? This is where her personal journey starts; the journey towards a future in music, a future driven by her own dreams. Dreams that are fuelled by her teacher, Mr. V, who offers to tutor her ahead of applying to a music college. Simultaneously, the fishermen in town - including Ruby's family - are hit by increasing demands, falling prices and bureaucracy. Challenges that only are bigger when you are forced to have a hearing member onboard. A job that can “only” be done by Ruby being the only hearing member of the family business. It's here, in the family drama that CODA both hits all coming-of-age clichés and ends up finding its overpowering strength.
One very big reason why it succeeds in spite of doing everything by the book, is due to some amazing performances from its main cast. Especially from Emilia Jones as Ruby & Troy Kotsur as her father, Frank. Jones not only sings like an angel, she also shows some true acting talent as she balances the feelings of Ruby with a fitting subtlety. She is in one way your everyday teenager caught in the middle of figuring out who you want to be and what love is while battling with embarrassing parents and an unreasoned self-doubt. On the other hand, she is - as part of a marginalised family who don't get or seek a lot of help and understanding from society - very much grown up with huge responsibilities. Jones caught me off guard with her charming, touching and fragile performance, that in my opinion deserves more awards attention than it ended up getting. And boy, her version of Joni Mitchell's 'Both Sides Now' is one of the musical highlights of 2021 as a film year (which included some big musical films!). That she had to learn both singing, sign language and trawling for the film only makes her performance more impressive.
Kotsur, deaf himself, is no stranger to Hollywood. However, his turn as Frank here seems like a late career kick starter with plenty of awards focus coming his way with an Oscar nomination the latest in his hat - fully deserved, that is. He gets quite a few big laughs as the embarrassing parent whether it is when arriving at Ruby’s school blasting heavy gangster rap from the car’s speakers so he can feel the bass or his suggestive sign language when Miles is at home with Ruby practising for the first time. His humour landed perfectly with me, but he is just as good when he has to be dramatic. Two scenes in particular stands out for me: when he finally “speaks up” at a council meeting letting all his frustrations go. Even though Ruby does the talking, Kotsur embodies all Frank’s frustrations as a businessman who is unfairly treated, as a father who tries to keep his family together, and as a marginalised person in an environment where he has never felt fully included. The other scene is when he asks Ruby to sing for him, so he can feel her singing. This scene was one of the most touching of the film - in particular because of Kotsur’s very fine work. The connection between Frank and Ruby in this scene feels so natural, so real.
That is in general how I would describe the family portrait in CODA: natural and real. Apart from Jones and Kotsur the family is made up of previous Oscar winner Marlee Matlin as Jackie (the mother) and Daniel Durant as Leo (the older brother) - both, like Kotsur, are deaf in real life. Matlin as Jackie has the least to do of the four, but she gets to shine in some scenes; as a mother realising her daughter is growing up and might fly away on her own journey and as someone who hides away from her surroundings in fear of not fitting in. Daniel Durant as Ruby’s bigger brother, Leo, really gets to be more than just the annoying bigger brother as the film takes its turns. Durant gets to highlight some of the most fascinating dilemmas of Ruby and the family’s situation. Is he good enough? Can he be the help to the family that he wants to be and maybe feel obliged to be as the oldest child? His reactions towards Ruby as she struggles to pick her right path are both hard-hitting and understandable. I actually believed the family bond between the four of them; one of the film’s strongest assets. Finally, Eugenio Derbez as music teacher, Bernardo Villalobos, grows throughout the film and ends up a stronger character than the initially indicated (classic) caricature of a music teacher. The chemistry between Ruby and Miles (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) is lovely, but their storyline is still the weakest and most bland aspect of the film.
It is, however, in the family bond and drama between Ruby, Leo, Jackie and Frank that the film soars. This is in many ways due to an unequivocal realism and authenticity. Naturally, Kotsur, Matlin and Durant adds a layer of authenticity to their roles by being deaf actors - something the original French film (on which this is based) was criticised for not having. It is clear that some of their characters’ frustrations, emotions and actions are relatable to them and it suits the film and their performances. The second reason for the film’s authenticity is the work of writer and director Sian Heder, who were adamant that the film needed to put more focus on Ruby’s family and cast deaf actors for all deaf roles, while also having CODA’s and the deaf community heavily involved in her adaptation of the French original. She has done a very good job delivering a tight and heartwarming screenplay that manages to tell us just enough about the family, its individual members and the other individuals surrounding Ruby for us to understand their actions and emotions while steering free from over-explaining and over-indulging on the obvious tear-jerker material in place.
While the acting, writing and directing are of the finer work in 2021, the film is somewhat lacklustre in its audio-visual visions. Perhaps in particular when it comes to the visual visions it falls flat; the cinematography is bland and to some extent the film’s visual style have some tv movie vibes. As previously mentioned, the film knows all the typical “needs” of a coming-of-age-film and it ticks nearly every box: a troubling love interest, a dilemma between following your own dreams and doing what is expected of you, embarrassing and troubling family relations, a close friend offering some comic relief and an inspirational figure to spur the dream initially. It’s all here and as such it is almost a paint-by-numbers example of this genre always balancing on the edge of corniness. Something I’m typically slightly allergic towards.
So how come it works so well anyway? Ultimately it is down to a combination of the stunning performances from the main cast, the empathetic directing and writing from Sian Heder and a brilliant soundtrack featuring a fitting score from Marius de Vries and some very well-picked songs performed beautifully by Emilia Jones in particular. The actors find their way to your heartstrings thanks to their natural chemistry, subtlety and nuanced emotions. Heder has managed to create a story about a marginalised family that gains its power and value by first and foremost presenting us with a view into their family life - it is the family tensions, drama and decisions that drive their story while never losing track of their marginalised reality. The latter never becomes a dominating or forced factor, though, and thus CODA never does to its subject matter what society so often does; it never marginalises the challenges the family faces nor the value they have to their surroundings. To me, that is why CODA ends up as the authentic, touching and empathetic film experience that is.

Basorexia: The overwhelming to kiss
***
Captain Rex, a man who goes by the reg book. He doesn’t skip a meeting with his general. Always keeps his blasters clean. He does everything by the book. All of that changed though, when he met you. The clone captain met you when you’ve been transferred to his battalion, as their mechanic. A fiery civvie who seemed to have a death wish for joining the war. You were the definition of brave and wild.
Always getting in trouble with the 501st boys. Pulling pranks on the Generals and even on Commander Cody whenever he was assigned with the battalion. You have fun most of the times and the boys never left you. A clone brother is always by your side wether it’s Hardcase, Jesse or even Kix. They just manage to be by your side checking in. You’ve become the little sister they never had.
The clones became more over protective of you when a certain Captain developed feelings for you. Who would’ve thought, Captain Rex falling head over heels for the 501st mechanic. You remember how it happened to be exact, that first time he asked you out.
***
You were laying underneath an LAAT, checking an oil leak which Hardcase had pointed out when they arrived from their mission. You thought he was playing around, until the gunship leaked all over jumpsuit. Grumbling something you shrug off the oil and kept working on the ship. As you tinkered with a screw you felt footsteps stop by your legs.
A throat cleared, you dragged yourself from the floor to meet the helmet of the Captain’s battalion. Captain Rex. He offered a hand to lift you from the floor which you thankfully took. “Hello Captain, what can I do for you?” You asked cleaning your face with a clean rag. The Captain stood in silence until he tugged off his helmet. You sensed the Captain’s shift, you turned around crossing your arms.
Arching an eyebrow at the Captain, he managed to meet your gaze. Shying away from you he stammered until he closed his eyes taking a deep breath. “I’m wondering, you’d like to have some caf. With me?” He asked gloved hands coming to rest on his hips. A smile tug your features as you laugh gently nodding “of course, Captain” you smile.
Rex did it, he managed to get a yes from you. The pair of you now stands looking around, shyness engulfing you both. “Well...shall we?” The Captain asks and you smile falling into step with him. A couple of eyes followed the growing pair.
“That slick bastard!”
“Fives! You can’t say that!”
“Relax, Dogma he doesn’t mean it...but yeah that slick nerf heder has gotten our mechanic” Hardcase says glaring off into the gunship you’ve been working with. The 501st boys weren’t jealous. No. They just stood overprotective for you. Rex wouldn’t hurt you, no. It’s his job. So it became their duty to protect Rex from harm’s way. To deliver him to you each he leaves for a mission.

You silently thank the men for if it wasn’t for them, perhaps you wouldn’t have Rex. It’s been a long time since that happened and you remembered the first time Dogma accidentally spilled that. Fives had a menacing gaze when he found out about what the young trooper said. You smiled at the sudden memory but now it is gone and Dogma and Fives are gone as well.
Sadness overcomes your features with grief, the oozing wound of losing two of your brothers. You were at a loss when you found out about Dogma being decommissioned. You trash and fought against Rex’s grip as they took him away. He soothe you with a heavy grip hug until you passed out from the crying.
That time, it was the first time Rex had seen you so affected by the death of a clone. You didn’t moved on, you always did the mando’a chant for him and for those you all lost. Then next came Tup. The baby trooper as you called him. His death took you by surprise and it teared you apart. You couldn’t believe it. Rex had managed to console you as well.
Fives. The most amazing brother anyone could’ve ask for. His death meant everything to you. When Rex told you, a shadow overlooked your features. You hugged the captain as small tears rolled down your cheeks. That time the two of you found consolation in each other’s arms. Something intimate ignited over the grief.
Perhaps dealing with the death of your clone brothers has brought you closer to Rex, and you are deep down grateful for it.

The Torrent Company‘s gunship lands in the hangar. You watch as Hardcase, Jesse and Kix leave the ship and stalk towards you. They tug off their buckets to greet you.
You hug each one of them, thanking the force for bringing them back each. Rex is missing and you notice it.
“Hey where’s...?” You trail, your heart dropping a little.
“I’m right here, cyar’ika” Rex says coming from behind the trio of troopers. They chuckle giving space for their captain. You cling to his neck hugging the love of your life. “You scared me” you mumble nuzzling your face against his neck. A rumble pierced through his chest, he’s chuckling softly as his gloved hands display on your back.
You pull away, looking around now at your small family. “You guys must be hungry, let’s go eat” you say tugging the boys to the mess hall. Even as it is busy, you find a table for everyone as the boys stalk off to find meals for each other and yourself.
They’re back with some rations. As they plop down, Hardcase, Jesse and Kix infront of you and Rex by your side. Everyone digs in, you smile watching the boys surrounding you. Everything is at peace.
Rex’s hand land on your thigh, his thumb rubbing on your knee. You catch his gaze smiling softly as you grab his gloved hand. Love engulfes you, basking in the moment granted right now.
Then you forget.
You forget about the boys infront of you. About the mess hall. About regulations and protocols, you simply forget. You lean forward to Capture Rex’s lips against yours. Soft and tender. Cat whistles emerge from each table. The clones cheer for their captain. A man who deserves it, they say whenever they see the two of you wondering around.
The Captain pulls away opening his golden eyes. His pupils blown and his cheeks dusting. He meets your gaze, filled with emotion. Love and admiration.
You stared at each other in an odd way, as if it were a silent argument. Rex stands from the table and grabs your hand leading you discreetly out of the mess hall. You race to his quarters, giggling like younglings. Rex opens his door and you enter.
“What are we doing here, Captain?” You giggle plopping on the bed. “I want to cuddle” he simply answers taking off his armor, he stays on his blacks. Trudging towards the bed where you now lay. Rex takes a seat and drags you to sit on his lap. It’s all intimate but sweet.
You sit there rubbing circles over his toned arms, admiring how they flex underneath the black top of his blacks. You lift your gaze to meet his. A smile tugs your corners as you sigh lovingly basking in the moment with your captain.
You move your head closer to Rex. He sits frozen, from both fear and excitement. You lean in, so your foreheads rests against his. You close your eyes. Both your breaths are shaking. "Thank you," You say in barely more than a whisper.
"For what?" He replies, his voice low and husky.
"For coming back home." Your voice wavers, exhilarated from the moment between you.
You gently leans in and kisses Rex's warms lips. You pull apart and take shaky, shallow breaths. The moment is filled with passion and love. Something you have felt with Rex since you met him.
“I’ll always come home to you, cy’are” Rex smiles pulling you in for another intoxicating kiss.
