A whumpee who finally loses their will to fight when the hopelessness sets in, and they give up- only to immediately be filled with revulsion and self loathing. A whumpee who doesn’t listen when they’re told that they did everything they could. When they’re told anyone would have done what they did. When they’re told it’s okay.

Because it’s not. They said they would never give up. But they did. And now they’re sure they deserve what ever comes after.

Because you can’t lose as long as you keep fighting.

…And whumpee lost.

I love living weapon whump where whumpee is so conditioned they genuinely view themself as an emotionless tool BUT consider living weapon whumpee who is lying about it. they refuse to give up and be nothing but a mere object to whumper, but they're also aware of their own powerlessness, so they act how others want. they follow protocol, they're efficient, they use "sir/ma'am" for everyone.

all while internally seething, running on nothing but pure hate. one day, they'll kill whumper. one day, they'll be free. but that day is not today, and they're not in a position to be pushing their luck.

Well, this is earlier than usual… But, as a thanks for all y’all’s help getting prompts together, I’ve decided to release the list earlier! And, well… With the new ‘Extreme Edition’ addition, I figured a bit more prep time may be warranted.

Rules:

You only have to use one (Or two, if you’re doing the extreme edition.) prompt a day! But you’re welcome to use multiple if you want to, and it still counts for both.

I know the description of the blog says it’s a writing event, but if you want to draw or make other kinds of content, that’s cool too.

Okay, lemme explain this from my pov. I've written a stoic hero whumpee (with villain caretaker) series before, except stoic whumpee is a theme and not the whole focus of the series.

TW: Mentions of nightmares, scars, touch-starvation and implied captivity

Stoic whumpees have this fire to them. They seem so unbreakable.

And there r like 2 major types for me.

Stoic because of the whumping, so you can see that in the caretaking.

Stoic even before the whumping, but it's still there during the caretaking, kinda different though.

When they're broken, it's impactful. They're usually the leader, or just someone with more experience. They essentially know what they're going to through.

But they're never ready for how it's going to break them.

They're proud usually, may lean towards defiant . But even if they aren't outwardly defiant, they don't give Whumper the reaction they expect from most whumpees. Hell, it may even get them in trouble. To them, it's the closest thing they have to freedom.

Bonus points if they're protecting another more sensitive whumpee.

Asking now, why are they stoic? Have they been here for years? So they reached a state of apathy? Do they naturally have a stoic personality? A leader/some kind of figure that's always had to be 'the strong one'? Or this is just an act to stay strong for another whumpee? Are they only like this towards Whumper?

Also: Do they break down at Whumper's or at Caretaker's?

But for me (someone who's heavily into comfort, like can't write hurt w/o comfort except like one snippet I had maybe), I loveeee stoic whumpees getting comfort.

They hide their trauma because it's over, there's no point in crying over it now. (not my beliefs, this is from stoic whumpee's pov) They only accept the bare necessities when it comes to caretaking, might even try to do things for themselves.

But one day, they just can't handle the walls they've put up. They've been strong for far too long and the trauma hurts. Nightmares, scars, it's all there. Aaaaand the breakdownnnn. They're at a loss because they can't handle this side of them that they didn't even know existed.

Caretaker helps them. With realising that vulnerability is okay. Being stoic never saved them from Whumper. Sure, they won't like, wear their heart on their sleeves all of a sudden and be super touchy-feely (old habits die hard), but they'll change. Allow themselves more vulnerability. It's okay.

And I'm a sucker for touch-starved stoic whumpees. That just melt when they recieve some kind of physical affection (beyond getting bandaged and the basic stuff), a hug, caretaker plays with their hair, caretaker rubs their sore shoulders, you name it! Touch meant pain before. They learn differently.

Or a rarer thing: They were only stoic w/Whumper, and either: a. It sticks when they get rescued.

b. They go back to their not-so-stoic self, albeit still somewhat damaged and broken.

Concept: Stoic Whumpee escapes by themselves. They could be alone. Double bonus if they save the other more vulnerable whumpee! And triple bonus if it's mutual caretaking between 2 whumpees! There could be more external caretakers involved or not. Maybe it's only external caretakers because the whumpees are in no state to help anyone or themselves.

To sum up: Stoic whumpees offer a very interesting characterisation and personality both during the whumping and the caretaking.

Everyone talks about their favorite kind of Whumpee- defiant, stoic, or so scared they end up crying a lot...

What about their different favorite broken Whumpees?

There are Whumpees that seem like they're not broken on the outside, but their mind is totally broken, and it takes a while for Caretaker to see that.

There are the classic broken Whumpee that has had their spirit beaten out, so now their life is gray, their reactions are monotone, and they'll do whatever Whumper asks of them without a reaction or second thought.

My personal favorite is when they just stop reacting completely. Like they've been broken not only of their spirit, but also of their will to live. The Whumper realizes that they may have broken Whumpee a little too well, now that Whumpee has stopped eating or drinking of their own violation, and they started soiling their clothes because they're not exactly holding it in anymore.

So the Whumper finds himself turning into a reluctant Caretaker, and has to either choose to try to get some life back into his Whumpee, or dump the guy off at Caretaker's house to take care of.

A creepy/intimate Whumper might be able to break the Whumpee down in this way the easiest- what he wants is someone who will follow along unquestionably with what he wants, but he ends up turning his Whumpee into an unresponsive doll. This Whumper just can't fathom why his Whumpee is so broken when all he did was give him his love! Bonus points if he has a (loyal) friend that he asks advice from; and that friend reluctantly says something along the lines of "you were a little harsh with Whumpee".

stoic/defiant whumpee who, after long, long periods of torture, finds some insignificant thing to care about. Clutching it to him as his only source of comfort. Whumper soon finding it and, while Whumpee is no longer useful, still wanting to see just how far he'll go. Rescuer finds him brutally beaten, nearly delirious with fever, and clutching said item. His eyes don't open, but his mouth does. "Please. I-It's not worth a-anything and i-it's burnt already but I need it. P-Please don't take it." His voice cracking as he says, "I earned it. I- please, I EARNED it." So ashamed to admit his one obedience to whumper, but too scared of losing the item to stay quiet. Bonus points if Rescuer is someone who knew Whumpee before and witnesses him, for the first time, bursting into tears and clutching item closer.

Ow. Right in my feels. Poor Whumpee. Let them have their item!

Believe it or not I had a list already made hehe

Caretaker drugs the whumpee for their own good and Whumpee stops trusting them/makes them feel terrible about it

Whumpee meets Whumper after being rescued, when they finally believe they're safe, and has a flashback/panic attack (especially if there is conditioning involved)

Caretaker is forced to watch Whumpee getting hurt because of something they did

Whumper undressing Whumpee. Especially when it's not nsfw, when it's just about the humiliation and the helplessness

Defiant whumpee spitting in Whumper's face (bonus points if Whumper gives them a crooked smile as they wipe the saliva away before making whumpee regret it dearly)

Team always sees the whumpee as stoic and unreachable. Until one of them does something that triggers the conditioning they'd never told anyone they went through

Whumpee agreeing to go with Whumper willingly if they don't hurt the caretaker/loved ones. Especially if they already know Whumper and know what to expect

Big fan of blood from the mouth here. Also throwing up in general especially if it's something unnatural - mysterious black sludge, ectoplasm maybe? And accompanying stomach pains that leave whumpee curled up on the floor and breathing hard. This is not necessarily related to any GI issues I may or may not have.

I'm also fond of whumpees having to inflict whatever the gory injury is on themselves. eg. cutting a limb off to escape from a trap. Or... I don't remember ever actually seeing this anywhere, but - whumpee faced with mind-controlling whumper making sure that they physically can't do whatever they'd be forced to do. Can't tell me to go kill all my friends if I'm nailed to this table, can you?

Hi! I wanna say your prompts are great, no need to feel self-conscious :D Could you throw me a couple drabbles? I was thinking two whumpees and one whumper. Whumpee A is stoic/defiant while Whumpee B is soft and at first is seen as a weak or a crybaby by A, but eventually they form a bond/start pining. Bonus points for A standing up to Whumper to protect B or them escaping together.

The whumper tried to pair A and B to see them fight, they wanted A to be a second source of pain for B. They’re pissed when they realize that the’re comforting each other.

A had stood back and watched B get hurt for days until they had grown protective of them. When they finally intervene they’re not afraid of being hurt, they just want the whumper to stop hurting B.

Neither of them could believe that they had finally escaped, they never really planned what they would do afterwards- all they knew is that they had each other.
