A rather silly concept.

To learn to speak, young Cybertronians repeat literally everything said around them. They understand words due to their inherent language packs, but speaking is a whole other animal. So to learn how to make the words sound right, they copy words from others until it makes sense. For this reason, higher caste newbuilds are prone to not being able to say curses simply because they've never heard them spoken aloud. For that same reason, lower caste newbuilds are fluent in swears but can't pronounce more scientific words to save their lives.

Additional humor comes in the form of these newbuilds wandering around, serving as a living echo system that pranksters love to abuse. Even the newbuilds themselves aren't all that happy about the mimicry but they can't help it when they are fresh and some bored bot rolls through yelling out a sentence just to listen to a group of freshies repeat it like a turkey gobbling.
