Also eesh, as though it wasn’t bad enough on AO3 having to distinguish between the James Potter and James Sirius Potter tags, how are we gonna do this Jack Crusher thing??  (I guess Wesley’s dad was Jack R. Crusher?  Says Memory Alpha?  Did I know this once? Is my 14 year old self rolling her eyes at me right now for forgetting?)

I’m not going to watch Picard season 3 until such time as I know exactly what Picard season 3 is doing to my favorite characters (considering the fact that Picard: the Series seasons 1–2 were, um, questionable at best about characters I love—such as, e.g., Picard: the Character—I think my decision to wait and spoil myself so I can go in with the correct expectations is completely valid), but also between gif sets on here and various recaps and etceteras I just want to emphasize how much I will always love Beverly Crusher. She was my gateway into loving Star Trek (okay, fine, it was her and the “oh shit is that kid Jean-Luc’s son” vibes she had with Picard in Encounter at Farpoint—oh, isn’t it ironic, doncha think, knowing what we know now about Picard season 3 so far—but her most of all), so there’s that.

...also I kind of ship her with Seven, in a “it happened in the past and is over now, but yes” sense, based solely on a gif set or whatever anyway. hi! and thank you to everyone who is posting things that I can enjoy from the distance my brain currently requires for feelings reasons.

Struggling girldad. No idea how to properly take care of her long hair. It's matting up into full on dreadlocks. Google for advice and find nothing but ludicrously intense hair care routines. All of them recommend buying silk pillowcases. Y'all are out of your fucking minds with that recommendation. I can't even. This kid is still clinging onto using sippy cups for christ's sake. Silk pillowcases. Jesus fuck almighty. Is it possible to have long hair without it getting knotted to all fuck without having these, quite frankly, fucking insane care requirements that all the coquette bloggers are yammering on about?? Surely there are normal people out there with long hair who are fine and normal about it and don't have All Knots All The Time without having to have their entire personality and way of life based around hair care?? It's not even that long: barely past her shoulders. But even at this length it's permanently knotted to shit because neither of us know how to take care of it properly. Just plain old straight, fine, basic white-girl hair. No waviness or texture or curls to complicate things. How do I learn this stuff?? Where are the guides that are chill and normal and not written by Very Intense Haircare Fanatics????? 😭

Noggin and Bonce is a shop in Knockturn Alley, in the wizarding quarter of London, which specialises in making masks. The shop is a fairly new one in the alley, popping up in the early 70s after an uptake of masked balls that demannded more intricately designed masks and headgear. Inspired by venetian masks, the shop stocks small masks, but mainly specialises in full coverage ones and uses a range of materials - it is rumoured that Noggin and Bonce created the masks famously worn by the death eaters but they have deined this to The Daily Prophet.
