it’s 1am for me so it’s technically the 7th day….ykw yeah here’s my really rushed gadget week summer thingy
(complete w captioning!! confetti confetti)
yk that one moment where gadget just shoots fireworks out of his head in “Great Wall Of Obliva”,,,,yeagh I like 2 think he dose little one-off shows in general
oc content!! this prompt was just a good excuse 2 draw them interacting overall,,in addition 2 testing out & experiment with the different outfits they’ll have
this is one of those rare moments where I actually acknowledge the 2015 adaptation,,,legit I had 2 recharacterize & redesign Talon where he’s actually a bit standable omg
don’t mind the random one-off oc that’s inspired by that one jackbox water machine character BUUUT i’m really proud of all the shape experimenting I did on this one,,,,
fyi: Issac & Percila probs invited the twins over for a bombfire session. buncha common tropes could be seen in this I think: stories, wood collecting, s’mores,,hell yeah
this one is a lot more character focused but I sWear all of them are at some nearby fair,,,a lot more character testing & whatnot. buncha agents spending some quality for once omg
family photoooo!! I was planning on drawing the whole W.O.M.P. lineup tbh,,,,but that just seemed cooler for a illustration all in itself, at least brains here god bLess 🫡
I drew all of these in 1 day ur welcome gadget nation
James is gonna wake Alex up with a kiss, "Happy birthday Bombfire~"
Mane ruffled and looking slightly unkempt, the dragon lord wakes up with a pleasant grumble and chortles before lifting his sleep mask, the tip of his jeweled tail wavering lazily.
"Thank you, my Iolite~" 💖
this ridiculous tiktok made my mom (who lived through IS (and US) bombfire as a kid) laugh very hard. She told me a funny story i wont be sharing involving my uncle, a toilet, and a missile launcher aimed directly at the bathroom window. They laughed then, we laugh now. Arabs survived and died laughing. Dont forget that
Another short October week. Having a very lucky run with it all. Absolutely loving it but not loving it. Jamming more work into less days isn’t ideal. We are at a few hutch points with the project though which is good and has slowed things down a little. Still making good progress and building relationships which is good.
Left Suva Thursday night with Alex and Das. Had dinner at Fish bone down at the port which was good. Got to Ray and Christine’s about 9. Cleaned myself up and ripped into some more work. I have a bad habit of working late when at staying at their place. Caught up with Christine in the morning - so nice to chew the fat!
Departed the port on Yasawa flyer. Forgot my phone charger so had to buy another. Cool boat trip up through all the islands. Beautiful weather. The water, wow. Got into blue lagoon about 2pm. Went for a snorkel on the reef and then a hike up the hill. Absolutely stunning scenes. Had dinner with a guy Andrew and David who are American but have been in Antartica for the last 6 months, how about that eh. Very cool stories. Dorm rooms are funny - haven’t been in one for a while haha
Went on the cave trip the next morning. Same deal, stunning weather. Awesome boat ride out there. The cave island is rather spooky in a way I can’t describe. Possibly watched too many films. The caves themselves are very cool. Huge and hollow. The swim through to the other one is enough to scare most people. Chilled away the afternoon with plenty of beers, napping, and book reading.
Same the next morning. Very chilled and kept to myself mostly. Did some writing in my book which was really good. Nice to have some complete alone time.
Departed Blue lagoon (Nacula Island) and headed to Barefoot Manta down on Drawaqa island to meet Pusspuss, Mariana, and Das. Same thing on arrival, headed up to the three look out points. Beautiful view across the island and over to manta Ray island too. Got in a snorkel on sunrise beach where they have coral planting which was cool to see.
Dive with the locals this morning. I was the only person going which was just my luck. We dived a site called golden gate. It’s a big spinning top rock with coal all over it. A swim through at the bottom. We descended and swam about 10m and we saw a manta cruise past in the channel - absolutely unreal. One of the coolest things I have seen diving. Just the one, likely lost since the season is over. Very privileged. Awesome dive all round but sucked through the air after the manta excitement. Chilled and then went diving again in the afternoon. Not as good this time. We went to Coral Wonderland or something. It was okay, nothing overly interesting, nice to go out with the local guys again.
Sorted myself out, a couple happy hour beers and some coconut bowling. Met a few others staying at the resort too. Had a bombfire and star watching after dinner before bed. Also got reasonably blazed with one of the staff and a bunch of other people staying there. Saw about 8 shooting stars too. Beautiful.
Quiet last day. Weather packed it in. Read my book, did some business, and headed back to Denarau. Takeaway nachos and a taxi snooze back to Suva.
