HOW TO CREATE A SMOKY ROCK-INSPIRED EYE LOOK:

This wearable version of the classic smoky eye uses deep, rich tones and strategic blending to create a bold yet refined appearance. Perfect for a night out or any occasion where you want to make a statement without going overboard. This look is versatile and can be worn year-round, including in the summer!

STEP 1:
Start with an eye primer to ensure your makeup lasts all day and appears more vibrant. Apply a neutral base eyeshadow close to your skin tone all over the eyelids using the DETAILED BLENDER BRUSH 2 to create a smooth canvas.

STEP 2:
Use a medium-toned matte brown or taupe eyeshadow as a transition shade. Blend it into the crease using the TAPERED BRUSH 1. Using the same brush, apply a darker shade, like a deep brown or charcoal, to the outer corner of the eyelid and blend into the crease to add depth.

STEP 3:
Choose a smoky colour like dark plum. Apply this shade to the eyelid, focusing on the outer half, and blend it using the TAPERED BRUSH 1 into the crease and the darker outer corner shade. For a more wearable look, avoid bringing the colour too far above the crease or too far out on the outer corner.

STEP 4:
Smudge a dark eyeshadow or eyeliner along the upper and lower lash lines. For a softer look, use the SHADER BRUSH 3 to blend out the edges. Apply a shimmery shade to the inner corners of the eyes to brighten up the look.

STEP 5:
Use a clean brush to blend the edges of the eyeshadow, ensuring a seamless transition.

An optional step:
Keep the focus on the eyes by choosing a nude or subtle lip color. This approach allows you to enjoy the edgy, smoky look in a more wearable and sophisticated way.
