IMPATIENCE KILLS pt 2- HAN JISUNG // warnings beneath break
pairing. han jisung x fem! reader sum. you seriously can’t catch a break with this one. even when you’re supposed to be watching tv, even when he’s supposed to be asleep, jisung can’t help himself from fucking into you. word count. 1.7k tags. desperation, vaginal sex, unprotected sex (don’t be silly wrap ur willy), creampie, biting, some scratching, cowgirl, jisung is a sleepy baby a/n. this is a pt. 2 to IMPATIENCE KILLS. you don’t need to have read the other part, but there’s a stupid joke that may make you chuckle if you’ve read it.
╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
jisung lies on your chest, face burrowed in your chest, lithe arms caging you to the mattress. he’s supposedly asleep, the steady rise and fall of his chest accompanied by the soft sighs of his dreaming. he’s a precious little thing, your boyfriend. his brown waves fall in waves down your chest, still damp from his shower in the hours previous. you’ve been petting his head, keeping him asleep. with every stall of your hands he stirs a touch. your hand stills to a stop and he looks up at you.
his cheek is red from skin-to-fabric contact, eyes puffy from sleep and a pout tugging at his peachy lips. you giggle down at him and he nuzzles his head into your hand.
“you comfy down there?” you ask him. in response, he puts his face back in your chest and moves his body so he’s directly atop you.
“s’nice…” his lips murmur across your skin and you sigh. the slight tickling of his whispering quickly escalates to spotted kisses which in turn become consistent, however lazy they may be. his hand sneaks up under your tank top, dragging the fabric to reveal your body to the cold room. he sets on gently massaging your left breast as he kisses the inside of your right, tongue darting out in kitten licks around your areola.
“sungie, wait until the show’s over,” you sigh. you can’t deny that his ministrations feel good. they’re gentle and erotic, making heat pool in your belly and your thighs clamp tighter together. you want to arch into him, for his kisses to travel lower, and that’s the issue. you don’t want to miss the end of what you’re watching. he already made you miss an episode of BoJack Horseman, missing part of House would be unforgivable.
but when has jisung ever cared?
“s’fine. don’t needa watch,” he huffs. he takes your tit in his mouth and rolls his tongue over your nipple, the hardened bud gentle on his tongue. he moans softly as he switches sides. you huff at him.
“i want to watch this.” you pout, voice stilted from his playing.
“i don’t. wan’ you…” he kisses up your neck and you sigh, resigning yourself to pausing your show. you’re not going to miss it this time. the second your show is silent you can feel everything more intensely. your clit throbs beneath your panties, a heartbeat all its’ own beating against the thin fabric. his lips leave a trail of warmth up your body, as if golden light is spilling into your skin from his.
his doll lips meet yours and suddenly he’s fully on top of you, caging you in with his arms as he kisses you over and over again. his tongue slides into your mouth, the desperation hot in his spit. his toned torso presses against your naked one, the soft fabric of his shirt struggling to still itself. this kiss is so full of longing it’s vile. there’s a disgusting sickly sweetness to the way he touches his lips to yours, curls his tongue around yours, in the way he starts grinding his body against you.
there’s a break in the kiss but no break in your precious sungie’s humping. it’s not erratic yet, but even as you pant, even as pearlescent strings of drool break apart on your lips, even as he stares at you with those blown out, adoring eyes, he rubs up against you. his bulge has grown in his boxers, and it only grown larger as he grinds against your pussy. the wet fabric is far from comfortable, but you don’t want to stop him.
he rests his chin on your shoulder, labored breaths fanning past the shell of your ear.
“s’good. feels s’good s’wet already-!” he’s babbling already, as if he’s fully inside you. you wouldn’t be shocked if he cums the second you let him in. the tip of his cock rolls past your clit and you moan. the sound makes jisung whine.
“wanna put it in,” he continues. “wan’a put it in- c-can’t stop moving. can’ stop feel s’good can’t-” he moans in a sort of sob, hips stuttering as he tries to slow himself. “‘m g’na cum. i don’t- can’t- don’ wanna cum. feels s’good. can’t sto-stop can’t-”
you turn him over with a grunt. normally you wouldn’t be able to, but he’s so buzzed out that it doesn’t take much effort. you’re straddling his stomach, panting with the effort, and run a hand over the back of your neck. jisung just stares at you like you’re the most beautiful thing in the world.
his waves are all mussed up, face flushed, the rash spreading to his chest. his lips are shiny and swollen, spit drying on his chin. and his eyes- oh, those sweet, sweet eyes. pupils blown up as if he’s on ecstasy, and he may as well be with the way he feels. he always gets like this when he’s sleepy. something about being tired and horny at the same time dumbs him down, makes his sweet little mind glue to you and only you. you don’t need to wonder whats going on in his head, because you already know. he’s thinking about one thing and one thing only.
“you wanna put it in?”
he nods frantically, adams’ apple bobbing in his throat. you sigh and shuffle back, pulling his waistband down with you. his cock pops out and he winces. oof.
his cock is standing tall, the tip throbbing red. precum drips from his slit and down his shaft, smeared into his pubes from his humping. your hand ghosts near his balls as you pull his underwear down to a comfortable position and it jumps. he whimpers, biting on his shirt collar. he’s so still he’s shaking. of course he is. the poor boy almost came in his underwear a couple seconds ago. you brush his damp bangs behind his ears and smile at him, keeping eye contact so he can’t see you pull your panties to the side and sink down on his cock.
from the way he moans, you’d think he’s the one being entered. truth be told, you have to cough to hide the keen that escapes your throat. i swear he’s gotten bigger. cowgirl makes it so you can feel every inch of him at once. his veins pulse against your gummy walls as the head of his cock threatens to kiss your cervix. neither of you realized how wet your pussy was until just now. he slid in like it was nothing, and it’s so hot and soft inside. he can’t think straight.
lucky for him, he doesn’t need to. you start rolling your hips up and down and he cries out, biting on his sleeve instead of his collar this time. tears crinkle the corner of his eyes as you ride him, moans hardley muffled by the fabric.
“thank you,” he slurs through gritted teeth. “m’sorry i interrupted the show i jus’ wan’ned you s’bad i jus’ needed it- fuck! feel’s- ‘m sorry~!” his head lolls to the center so he can watch your tits bounce. he whines, wanted to suck on them again, but he doubts he can sit up. he resigns himself to rubbing messy circles over your clit with his thumb, wanting to cry at how nonuniform he is.
“feel good?” he asks you desperately. “s’it feel good? baby- mama- you feel good? ‘m doing good, yeah?” you can barely hear him though the haze of your own pleasure, but you nod. dear god, you nod. every bounce on him, every stutter of his thumb, it’s like lazy lightning strikes straight through your pussy. your cunt is already leaving that creamy white ring around his base, you just can’t stop. you thought he was desperate, that he was impatient, that he was gonna be so much more desperate to cum. but tonight his kisses were like some aphrodisiac and now you can’t get enough of him.
your body can, though. no matter how drunk on each other you two are, at the end of the day, you’re animals. animals have limits. sex ends, and this end is rapidly approaching. your thighs are cramping as you speed up, desperate to cum before him. he’ll be spent, and there’s no way you're making him do anything after this.
his hips buck up, a violent snap that throws you forward and down on to him. he thrusts into you manically, thighs slapping yours as he pounds into your from below. his nails dig into your back as he kisses all over your neck, clutching him to you and he tries to make you cum from internal stimulation alone. thank god he took over, because your face is starting to burn from the pleasure.
“fuck! right- right there, sungie! ugh-! c’mon- oh my god!” you can’t even get an order out. his tip presses against your cervix, the painful pressure just adding to the pleasure coursing through your body.
“g’na cum~” he huffs. “can i cum inside, mama? please lemme cum ‘nside ‘ve been s’good f’you please. please mama i won’ waste it i won’t make a mess i’ll just eat it back out of you mama please.”
“fine.” you snap, harsher than you mean to. he makes a sad little noise and you shush him.
“fine,” you repeat, softer. “cum ‘nside, sungie. jus’- jus’ make sure it’s cle-”
you can’t even finish your sentence before he busts inside of you. he groans and bites down on your shoulder. you hit your own orgasm like a wall. it tears through you and if you weren’t already collapsed on jisung you would’ve toppled over on him. your own cum mixes with the thick white liquid painting your walls. you two just lie atop each other, panting, sweaty skin sticking to each other as you come down off the high.
you go to sit up, but jisung places a hand on your head, gently holding you against him. he makes a little “mm-mm” sound, shaking his head and making sure to hug you just a bit tighter.
“lie…still… for a- for a sec…” he wheezes. he kisses your face the best he can, patting your back gently. “wanna hold you… before round two…”

catching up - tag game!!
thank you @nhasablogg for the tag!! i also don't like reblogging big, long tag games so i made this my own post.
❤️ Newest obsession: i don't really have one right now which is so out of character for me, but i don't have any piece of media i'm seriously into right now!! it's very unfulfilling, lol.
🎥 Last three movies I watched and what I thought of them:
annabelle (2014) - this movie is ass i'm not gonna lie. not scary, stupid plot, etc. just really not great.
the conjuring (2013) - obviously my partner and i are slowly but surely making our way through these movies and we have hated both so far, lmfao. this movie is so cheesy and dumb.
the strangers: chapter one (2024) - this is the worst movie i've ever seen, completely deadass. i hated it so much, so did every other person in the movie theater with me. a horrible remake of an amazing movie.
🎶 Three songs I’ve discovered recently and loved: trying to be original and not talk about anything super popular rn lmfao
pull through - remember sports
i hope i'm not sick - loveless
touchy subject - peach prc
💘 Newest Fav Ships: i don't really have any new ships, just the same few i'm obsessed with. i just rewatched heartstopper so i'm back on my bullshit with all those ships.
📺 Currently Watching: bojack horseman!!
📖 Currently Reading: i'm about to start reading witcha gonna do? by avery flynn bc a friend lent it to me, i just haven't actually picked it up yet. so, technically nothing.

random but what's some of your favorite animated works? whether you consider them influences or not, like as an animation guy what tickles your fancy
lots of dreamworks but mostly kung fu panda 2, how to train your dragon, and prince of egypt! then there's the early 2000's disney era (treasure planet, atlantis, lilo and stitch). then more recently satoshi kon's work (specifically perfect blue and magnetic rose), and nausicaa from studio ghibli. ofc spiderverse was a gamechanger but moreso for story for me! i'm not a 3d animator.
for shows i love neon genesis evangelion, teen titans, revolutionary girl utena, wolf's rain, avatar:tla, steven universe, arcane, bojack horseman, devilman crybaby. idk probably a lot more!! but those are off the top of my head. they've all definitely influenced either my art style or my storytelling sensibilities.

What Makes Animated Web Series for Adults Special?
You might be wondering, “Why should I watch animated shows meant for grown-ups?” Well, let’s uncover the magic that makes these series unique.
1. Diverse Themes
Unlike traditional cartoons, adult-oriented animated series explore a wide range of themes, from existential dilemmas to social commentary. They tackle complex issues with wit and creativity.
2. Unconventional Humor
Get ready to laugh out loud! These shows often feature humor that’s a bit edgier, satirical, and sometimes downright irreverent. They’re not afraid to push the boundaries of comedy.
3. Stunning Animation
Don’t underestimate the visuals! These series can be visually stunning, with intricate artwork and attention to detail that rivals any live-action show or movie.
4. Character Development
Animated series for adults invest time in developing their characters. You’ll find protagonists with flaws, quirks, and relatable traits that make them feel like real people.
The Best Web Series on OTT: Animated Edition
Now, let’s get to the good stuff! Here are some of the finest animated web series for adults that you can stream on OTT platforms:
1. “BoJack Horseman”
This series follows the life of BoJack Horseman, a washed-up actor who happens to be a horse. It’s a darkly funny exploration of celebrity culture, addiction, and self-discovery.
2. “Rick and Morty”
Join the mad scientist Rick and his good-hearted but easily influenced grandson Morty on mind-bending adventures across the multiverse. This show is equal parts hilarious and mind-boggling.
3. “Big Mouth”
Puberty can be awkward, but it’s a lot funnier when animated. “Big Mouth” delves into the lives of adolescents as they navigate the challenges of growing up, with the help of some very unconventional hormone monsters.
4. “Archer”
Follow the misadventures of suave yet hopelessly incompetent spy Sterling Archer and his quirky colleagues. This show is a hilarious spoof of the spy genre.
5. “The Simpsons”
An animated classic that’s been tickling funny bones for decades, “The Simpsons” is a satirical take on suburban life. It’s known for its sharp wit and memorable characters.
Why You Should Dive Into Adult Animation
Still not convinced? Here are some compelling reasons to give adult-oriented animated web series a shot:
1. Expand Your Horizons
These shows tackle diverse themes and often provide fresh perspectives on life, love, and society. They’ll make you think while you laugh.
2. Artistic Excellence
Animation isn’t just for kids. The artistic quality and attention to detail in adult-oriented series are often on par with the best in the industry.
3. Nostalgia and Innovation
Whether you grew up with cartoons or you’re new to the medium, these series offer a blend of nostalgia and innovation that’s hard to resist.
4. Pure Entertainment
Above all, they’re incredibly entertaining. You’ll find yourself eagerly waiting for the next episode, just like any other binge-worthy show.
Wrapping It Up
So, there you have it! The world of animated web series for adults is a treasure trove of entertainment and creativity. Whether you’re into dark humor, mind-bending adventures, or heartfelt stories, there’s something for everyone in this colorful universe. Grab your remote, find a cozy spot on the couch, and get ready to be captivated by some of the best web series on OTT platforms.
FAQs

newest obsessions 💛: Mh, I don't think I have fallen down any new rabbit holes lately.
last three movies i watched and what i thought of them 🎫:
Inside Out 2: cute movie, though I confess I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise. I always admire what they're going for and the concept is incredible, but the stories don't really resonate with me much. Anxiety's VA in my language was a major highlight.
The Stepford Wives (1975): Loved the idea, again, but the tone feels off, it's just hard to take the premise seriously as a horror movie, even though its themes are on point.
The Stepford Wives (2004): Camp as the original probably should have always been, and I think the comparison with the first contributed to its bad rep, although the two twists at the end really undermine a cogent thematic nucleus.
3 songs i discovered recently and loved 🌟: I don't listen to a lot of music, unless it's from some show I'm watching. So I'll say All 2 You and When I See Him Tonight from Helluva Boss. Can't name a third song right now, but I have recently listened to Hey Mr. Blue from the BoJack Horseman finale.
newest fav ships 🌼: Not the biggest shipper, goddamn it am I boring XD I suppose you could say Sasaki and Miyano from... Sasaki to Miyano.
currently watching ⭐️: Nothing, I've been trying to watch more films and fewer series, but I'm kinda hate-watching Bridgerton with friends.
currently reading 📒: A feminist anthology that's taking me literal months to finish. I don't read anywhere near enough.
currently playing 🔅: Tears of the Kingdom.
currently looking forward to 🌻: Being done with the stories I'm writing lol Maybe the new Shyamalan movie too?
recently finished 🌙: Helluva Boss, and Sasaki to Miyano before that. There's something else but I can't remember rn.
something to share 🐝: Mh, I'm kind of insecure about how I look and I want to break free from certain patterns... but to avoid turning this into the trauma-dump section, I'll say that I have been working on the script and outline of an animated series for years and I think it could turn out excellent if I ever got the chance to make it.
Only tagging people who openly post/reblog tickle content, so here's a no-pressure tag for @sallage, @bee--positive, @riisume, @capsaiicin, and @finneyythehuman.
Catching up (Tag Game)
Ive been a bit on and off and felt like making a tag game so here's one to catch up on each other's interests and hyperfixations! Answer the 10 questions and tag 5 people. No pressure ofc!
@fluffandgiggles @ppystkposts @crazy-as-a-jaybird @blobbirobbi @kusuguricafe + everyone who wants to join! **edit + everyone who received a notification from when I tried to tag 10+ people and the tumblr post broke 😂
❤️ Newest obsessions: Dungeon Meshi, probably has been clear.. and capybaras. Taylor Swift not very new but refueled obsession since seeing the eras tour concert!
🎥 Last 3 movies I watched and what I thought of them:
Inside Out 2 - CRYING SOBBING LOVING IT SO MUCH
The Parent Trap 1998 rewatch - Still golden fav, one of my guiltiest pleasures
Sous la Seine / Under Paris - Love a good shark movie but thought this was mediocre smh. the ending was cool tho hahaha
🎶 3 songs I discovered recently and love:
Peggy - FEMININE RAGE
Spencer Sutherland - Alive
HOYO-MIX - Interstellar Journey
💘 Newest fav ships: Falin x Marcille , Chilchuck x Senshi, and Laios x Kabru all from Dungeon Meshi!!!
📺 Currently watching: The Apothecary Diaries, Wind Breaker, House of the Dragon, Pokemon Johto Journeys (rewatch), FMA Brotherhood (rewatch), Mushoku Tensei S2 (might drop it)
📖 Currently reading: Dungeon Meshi manga, Define the Relationship manhwa, XXX Buddy manhwa (both manhwas on hold but I'll continue reading soon!)
🎮 Currently Playing: Fortnite, Minecraft, Genshin Impact (haven't played since Cyno story quest tho), Zelda Tears of the Kingdom (on hold), Yakuza 0, Zelda Skyward Sword, Hogwarts Legacy, note: I kinda dropped all mobile games but I'm really considering starting love & deepspace again hmmm.
😍 Currently looking forward to: New Fortnite update, Genshin Natlan update (even though I have to catch up on the previous ones lol), the new Deadpool movie, Blue Lock movie (seeing it this week!)
✅ Recently finished: Kaiju No. 8 (anime), other than that no books, manga, games or shows. All still in progress lol.
💌 Something to Share: I'm glad to see people are enjoying the x reader drabbles and I'm motivated to work on them faster when I can! Thanks everyone for your patience.. T-T

hii can i request bestfriends heeseung and y/n who have never done anything together but one night while having a sleepover things just go in that direction 👀👀👀 (using prompts 8 & 12 please🥺)
A/N: this is such a cute concept i love it (u didn’t specify who says what so i chose lol i hope thats okay, I also made hee a soft dom)
Warnings: oral (f receiving), fingering (f receiving), unprotected sex, cock warming
Word count: 3k
You tap lotion onto your face as Heeseung pulls his sheet mask off. He pats the remaining product into his skin.
“You don’t even need that,” you roll your eyes. “Your skin is already perfect.”
“Jealous?” he teases.
“Yes, I one hundred percent am.” you admit and he chuckles.
You finish up in the bathroom and then plop onto your bed. Heeseung leans over you and grabs the remote on your nightstand. He clicks to Bojack Horseman as always then lays down next to you, scrolling through his phone.
You kick him in the shin. “Gimme some space.”
He frowns and sprawls himself on top of you. “What, you don’t wanna love on me?”
You laugh and try to push him off. “I feel violated.”
He rolls away, chuckling.
You’re scrolling through tiktok together when a video of someone joking about porn comes up. You cackle and Heeseung looks at you.
“How do you know about that?” he asks, wide eyed.
“What do you mean?” you ask awkwardly.
“Do you watch porn?” he asks and you turn away from him, giggling.
“That’s a very private question.” you say, covering your face with your hands.
“So you do!” he exclaims and he’s blushing too.
You guys talked about sex occassionaly, only when you were sharing stories about hook ups though.
“What kind do you watch?” he says, only half joking and you punch him in the shoulder.
“That’s an extremely private question.” you say.
“I thought we were for lifers.” he replies and you laugh.
If he were a female friend you wouldn’t hesitate to tell her all of this, but for some reason he made you shy. You still remember when you became aware that he was a guy. It was the summer before tenth grade when he grew three inches, his voice dropped, and his shoulders began to broaden. It was the summer you became more aware of his masculinity and ever since then, things kind of changed. Not for the worse, things are just different now.
You continue to scroll when another scandalous tiktok comes up. It said something about wanting to be dominated and taken control of.
You groan. “Why do I keep getting these things?”
“The for you page gives you things that it knows you’d like.” he remarks and you scrunch your nose at him. “What? I think it was pretty hot.”
You choke. “You’re a bottom?”
“No!” he guffaws. “I meant to be the giver in that situation.”
“Ohhh,” you say, trying not to get too embarrassed. The thought of him doing that to someone drove you a little insane.
“Are you?” he asks and you shove him.
“You weirdo.” you accuse and he holds his hands up.
“I just think best friends should know these things about each other.”
You shrug him off and turn your phone off. “I don’t trust my phone anymore, let’s watch yours.”
You scoot over to him and rest your head on his shoulder.
He scoffs. “I thought you wanted space?”
“Are you complaining?” you tease.
“Of course not.” He fake yawns to get his arm around you and you cackle.
He taps a gentle beat onto your shoulder while scrolling through instagram. You can’t help but tense up in his embrace. He had been a bit more touchy than usual lately; random hugs, playing with your fingers, adjusting your clothes, and tying up your shoelaces whenever he could.
“Wow I do not like this.” he says at someone’s prom outfit.
“Me neither,” you frown. “It’s kind of outdated.”
“When’s our prom?” he asks.
“I think in a month.”
“We’re going together right?” he asks and your heart skips a beat. You figured that you’d go together but him asking you made you anxious.
“Yeah,” you try to sound confident.
“Are we gonna coordinate our outfits?” he lightly squeezes your side and you squeal.
“But we’re not going as a couple.” you say and he rolls his eyes.
“So? It’d be weird to show up together with mismatched outfits.” he says and you nod in agreement. “Do you have an idea of what you wanna wear?” he asks.
“I think I wanna go more simple and do black.” you say and he groans.
“You always wear black dresses.”
“And? I look hot in them.” you defend.
“You’re right you’re right.” he accepts defeat and you giggle.
As the night goes on you slowly slump further into Heeseung’s side. At one point his arm goes numb so you scooch in front of him and rest your back against his chest. You’ve gotten used to being so close to him, and at this point you just wanted more.
His arms are wrapped loosely around you as you watch Coraline on the tv. He reaches up to run his hand through his hair but instead punches you decently hard in the boob. You yelp and hold your chest.
“Ahh! Sorry sorry!” he holds your shoulders. “I’m sorry.”
You can’t help but laugh through your pain. “Trying to make me lose a boob or something?”
“Noo, no I’m sorry, forgive me.” he asks, sounding genuinely worried.
Sure you were exaggerating your reaction, but what’s wrong with having a little fun with him.
You elbow him in the side and he cries out.
“Revenge.” you say with a smug smile.
He waits a moment before grabbing your waist and flipping you onto your back. He’s always stronger than you would’ve guessed. You yell as he climbs on top of you and begins to tickle your sides.
You kick around and try to push him off but he won’t budge.
“Get off, I’m dying!” you cackle from his relentless tickling.
“You asked for it.” he says.
“I thought we promised no tickle fights?” you grab a pillow to protect yourself but he’s quick to chuck it away.
“I had my fingers crossed.” he jokes.
You muster all of your strength and hook your leg around him to get him onto his back, a trick Jungwon taught you.
Without thought, you climb on top of him and pin his hands down. It take you a moment to realize what position you’re in. You both freeze for a second before bursting out laughing.
You fall onto your back, holding your chest.
“What the hell was that?” he asks, laughing. “Some fifty shades of gray type of shit.”
You kick him in the shoulder. “I’m sorry!” you say through a fit of giggles. You try to push yourself up but your legs are bent in a way that makes it a little tough. Heeseung assists you and pulls you up into a sitting position by your waist.
You’re still giggling a bit when you feel his nose brush against yours.
“Hi.” you whisper and he waits a moment before gently pushing his lips against yours. Your heart leaps into your throat but you try to stay calm as possible.
He pulls away (to your disappointment) and looks at you with wide eyes.
“Fuck, I’m sorry-” he says and before he can finish your hold his face and kiss him back. His arms snake around your waist and he pulls you flush against him.
You can’t believe that this is happening. You wonder if all the things you’ve fantasized about would happen tonight. Of course not, you’re crazy, you think. But you could already imagine with hands adventuring your body, touching you just how you like it.
Your fingers dip into the back of his shirt collar. You’re barely touching his skin, but it still feels so special.
His lips move to your cheek, then your jaw, then your neck. Your breath becomes increasingly ragged as his kisses become more open mouthed and messy.
He looks up at you. “Is this okay? Like do you want this?”
You nod eagerly and he smiles. “Cute.” he says to himself.
He gently rests you onto your back and traces your waist before pushing your top up. He peppers kisses all over your stomach and ribs before getting to the band of your bralette.
You blush. “I would’ve worn something nicer if I knew this was gonna happen.”
He shakes his head. “I like it, it’s pretty.”
You tug your shirt over your head along with your bra. He lets out a small gasp and you rush to cover yourself.
“Wait, no no.” he pulls your hands away.
“You’re making me shy.” you turn your head away and he chuckles.
“So perfect.” he says before softly kissing your chest.
You let out a small moan while running your fingers through his hair.
He slowly runs his tongue over your nipples while rubbing your sides. You can feel wetness starting to pool in your underwear.
You instinctively swivel your hips, looking for some kind of stimulation and he smiles.
“Do you need something?” he asks teasingly and you feel your cheeks heat up.
“Yeah,” you answer.
“What is it?”
You shake your head out of embarrassment.
“Well you’re gonna have to tell me or I’m just gonna leave you like this.” he says nonchalantly and you sigh.
You swallow your pride. “Touch me, please?”
“Attagirl.” he says and tugs your shorts off. “Show me how you like it.”
Your eyes widen. “Huh?”
“You heard me,” he says. “Show me first.”
You breathe in nervously before sliding your hand into your underwear. You circle your clit once and do your best to hold in a moan. He pulls your underwear to the side to watch you.
“Do you think about me when you touch yourself?” he asks. “When you’re home alone and it’s late at night?”
You nod sheepishly and he smiles. “What do you imagine?”
“I’m not telling you,” you blush. “It’s embarrassing.”
“Don’t be embarrassed. If you tell me, I'll tell you what I think about too.” he suggests and you accept the deal.
“I-I imagine my fingers being yours,” you swallow thickly.
“Mhm,” he encourages you while gingerly kissing your thighs.
“And,” you hesitate for a moment. “I imagine your tongue on me, and you filling me up. What about you?”
He smiles. “I imagine touching you like this,” he rubs his hands down your thighs and reaches up to pinch your nipples. “I imagine kissing you here,” he kisses your inner thigh, “and here,” he kisses you so close to where you need him the most and you quiver. He grabs your hand and pushes your fingers into his mouth. Your eyes widen and he smirks. “You taste good.”
You nearly cum just from seeing and hearing that.
“I imagine doing this.” He lowers his head and licks a gentle stripe up your pussy. Your thighs snap around his head and he pushes them back open.
“Relax sweetheart, let me make you feel good.” he says before delving into you. Your back arches off the bed right away and your fingers find his hair. Goddamn he’s good.
He circles his tongue on your clit, hungrily but still gently.
“Fuck,” you exhale and he smiles.
He pushes a finger into you with ease and soon adds another. You roll your hips against his tongue as his fingers pump in and out of you. You whimper as the overwhelming pleasure runs through your body.
“Oh my god,” you squeak as your legs begin to shake. Already? You think.
His fingers stay at a steady pace as he messily sucks on your clit. You tug at his hair and he moans into you.
“Please don’t stop.” you beg and he obeys.
Your hips begin to lift off the mattress and he pins you down, keeping you in place. Your orgasm pours through you like sweet syrup, leaving you trembling under him.
He comes up to kiss you, letting you taste yourself. You wipe your juices off his chin with your thumb then lick it off.
He watches you in awe. “God you’re hot.”
You pull his hoodie over his head and push him onto his back. Your fingers trace his shoulders, then his waist, and every muscle on his torso. You kiss him down to the band of his sweats before pulling them down along with his Calvins.
His cock springs up and hits his lower stomach. You slowly kiss up his shaft then waste no time getting him in your mouth. He hisses and caresses your hair.
He hits the back of your throat every time you bob your head but you don’t care. His head drops back with a tempting moan.
“Fuck you’re good.” he says with a small smile.
You stroke the inches you can’t reach with your hand.
You wish you could imprint this image of him in your mind: his head lulling back, his adam's apple bobbing every time he swallows, his brows furrowing, his mouth parting open. You’re almost tempted to take a photo.
You take him all the way into your throat and swallow around him. The moan he lets out sounds better than a song.
You look up at him and watch him rake his hand through his hair. His abs contract every time you come down on him.
“Just like that,” he purrs, sending heat straight to your core.
You feel so dirty with your spit dripping down your chin but at the same time, it feels so good.
“Such a good girl,” he coos. “Sucking this cock so well.”
You nod at him and he smiles.
“Come here,” he pulls you into a position where he can reach you better and squeezes your ass. He tenderly traces his fingers down your spine before slowly pushing two fingers into you. You whine on his cock and he smirks.
“Still so wet.” he says while slightly curling his fingers, you jolt and he chuckles. “Feels good huh?”
You nod and he pets your hair. “Keep going, that’s it.”
His fingers pick up the pace as your sucking and licking becomes more sloppy.
His moans become more desperate and when he expects you to pull off you keep your head down, taking his cum down your throat.
“Did you just swallow?” he asks you, still breathing heavy.
You nod with a smile and he pulls you into a passionate kiss.
He flips you onto your back, eagerly kissing down your body before lining himself up with your entrance.
“Fuck me please,” you exhale and he smiles.
“Of course,” he pushes into you and you whine from the feeling. He stretches you out just right. “God you have good pussy.” he moans and you giggle.
He leans down to kiss you and you whimper into his mouth.
“Don’t stop,” you plead and he kisses your neck, sucking and nibbling to leave a hickey. “People are gonna see.” you say and he smiles.
“That’s the point.” he says. "Don’t you want people to know how good you are for me?”
You blush and nod.
“Give me one too sweetheart.” he says softly while leaning over you.
You rub up and down his sides while gently biting and licking at his neck, leaving a pretty red blush on his neck.
His fingers trail down to circle your clit while grinding his hips into yours. Your eyes roll back as he does so and he smiles. He can’t stop thinking about how captivating you are. He can’t take his eyes off you. Which gives him an idea.
He grabs your jaw and turns it to the mirror next to your bed. “Look at yourself.” he says.
Your heartbeat quickens, not used to seeing yourself in this state.
“Look how good you take it.” he says and you can’t deny it, you look hot as fuck.
He looks at you watching his cock disappear in and out of your cunt. You drag your hands over your waist and go to roll your nipples between your fingers.
His fingers are so slick on your clit from your juices and everything feels so good that you can’t really believe it.
He grabs onto the headboard for leverage and he looks so fucking good like this. Ever since he turned your head to the mirror, you can’t look away. You only turn to face him when your legs begin to shake and the fire in your stomach starts to dance.
“Please don’t stop,” you say with sparkling eyes. “I’m close.”
“Cum for me sweetheart,” he says right by your ear. “Be good.”
That alone sends you over the edge.
You’re back arches and your eyes roll back as your orgasm surges through you. He moans into your neck as he releases into you. You’re still pulsing around him when he finishes.
He kisses your cheeks as you come down for your high. “You did so well princess.”
You can’t help but cling to him and he chuckles. “I have to pull out of you eventually.”
“I like the way you feel.” you whine and he smiles.
You opt to cock warm him. He lays on his back and pulls you on top to straddle him. He gently pushes into you as you lay on his chest and enjoy the feeling.
He strokes your back and kisses your shoulder for a bit before he starts to subdtley thrust up into you.
You give him a look and he smiles at you sheepishly. “Wanna go again?”

Since adults are the topic of the hour, I want to know which adult animations are your favourite. I know, not in topic with your blog, but I'm really curious!
Well, to maintain this blog's tradition, in the Magical Girl department, there are only three adult series that I liked:
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (basically, Japan making fun of the US and its gross western animation, with its own unique twist. Was supposed to have a second season, but the folks at Gainax couldn't keep their promise);
Bee & PuppyCat (if you ignore the lack of plot coherence and handle Toast's annoying antics, it should be fine for you to watch, I guess);
Super Drags (this one's brazilian! Yeah, it's rather crude and generic as an adult show, but it has some interesting queer topics to check out!)
Now, for the non-Magical Girl ones:
Inside Job (if you're depressed after seeing Velma's rendition of Fred Jones, Brett Hand will serve as a great palate cleanser for you);
Bojack Horseman (it starts off weird, but it solidifies as the time goes on and it gets quite philosophical, too);
Aggretsuko (yes, the one from Sanrio. Y'know, the kawaii empire behind Hello Kitty? Yeah, that's the one);
Tuca & Bertie (from the folks that have brought you Bojack Horseman);
The fifth and final season of Samurai Jack (the finale sucked, but the video game, Battle Through Time, has acted as damage control);
Harley Quinn (Velma tried to imitate this one, and failed so hard at it);
The earliest seasons of Rick & Morty (Seasons 1-3, imo. There's something about this show that tickles my wanderlust);
(Dis)Enchantment (haven't seen the later seasons just yet, but I loved it so far);
Daria (you'd be surprised at how relatable it has become in modern days. And people used to shame me for being cynical back then);
Futurama (haven't seen the new episodes, though. I'll stick to the classics);
Scoobynatural (ignore the fact that it's a Supernatural crossover. Seeing the Mystery, Inc. Gang have an existential crisis is always a treat);
Rob Zombie's The Haunted World of El Superbeasto (this one's a movie. Described as an "X-Rated Scooby-Doo", and you get to see nazi zombies being exterminated, predating South Park's The Stick of Truth);
Venture Bros. (again, this could act as a great palate cleanser if you've watched Velma);
Bob's Burgers (it's a better Nuclear Family-type of show than The Simpsons and Family Guy. 'Nuff said.);
I also remember watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, Home Movies, The Critic and John Callahan's Quads as a teen, and they were quite solid from what I remember.
I haven't seen these ones, but I'm surely interested in Primal, Superjail!, Del Toro's Pinocchio, Solar Opposites, Peepoodo and the SuperFuck Friends and The Boondocks. I also wanna see Mortal Kombat's newest animated movies, they look so amazing!
Despite having S-tier animations, I absolutely hated Devilman Crybaby and Castlevania. Major buzzkill, those shows.
And I'm sure, positive and certain that Sam & Max: Freelance Police could've made a really neat adult show if Steve Purcell and crew weren't stuck dealing with censorship sensitivities (they were held back by Fox Kids censors back then).

Princess Carolyn is my mother. I admire her so much for so many reasons. If I'm half the woman she is when I'm in my 40's I will be proud of myself.
There's going to be a lot of emotional rambling from here on, so feel free to scroll past...
anywho...
I've been waiting since 2014 to draw fanart for Bojack Horseman.
I've loved the show since season 1, but unlike most of my other hyperfixations, I never indulged in fanart or fanfiction. I genuinely wanted to see how the story played out.
This cartoon aired when I was in my early 20's. I had just graduated college and was financially and mentally too unstable to continue my education.
I still am.
I had moved out of my parents house (Our relationship is more complicated than this, but long story short, they were/ are abusive to my siblings and I.) My dad pretty much stopped talking to me until just recently. I had an abortion in 2013. I was working a job that pushed me to my mental and physical limits.
I had just discovered my asexuality and was struggling to maintain a meaningful relationship with my then fiance.
My wedding planning started in 2014, which caused my already high anxiety to spike.
So on and so forth, my early 20's sucked. I still felt like the loser from my crappy low-funding high school. I was a nobody of no value just like my mother, teachers, classmates thought. I didn't like anything about myself. I was convinced a robotic, joyless approach to adulthood was just the way, people were bad and couldn't change and wanting or expecting anything else was just dumb.
Then I watched Bojack Horseman one night for tickles. It somehow meshed everything in a cartoon that could hold my attention in one show; Strange art, a mix of light and dark humor, emotional development, anthros...
and it had so much more of what I needed.
The show put so much of my life into perspective. It helped me emotional procress/ recover from so much damage that has been accumulating for YEARS.
I don't want to be someone else. I just want to be a better version of me. Bojack Horseman helped me figure that out. I'll always love the cartoon, characters and method of storytelling.
ok, I think I'm done. ^^

3 words that describe...
Your personality: (A bit) aloof, sensitive, and shy.
Your friends: Loud, laidback, cheeky.
Your family: Emotionally distant, (mostly) religious. I’m cheating so much on this looooool.
Your life: Right now? Put on hold. Thanks, coronavirus.
Your current mood: Hungry, and irritated eyes.
Your dreams/goals in life: Ok three words will be too short for this so I’ll just enumerate three whole phrases: I’d like to have a job that pays well, get a house that doesn’t have to be huge, but it has to come with features I’ve always wanted like cove lights and a yard for the kids and dog to play in, and get settled.
Your partner/boyfriend/girlfriend (if you have one): Funny, intelligent, courageous.
The person you last talked to: Brave, considerate, responsible.
The room that you are currently in: Comfortable, well-lit, homey.
The world in your perspective: Many stupid humans.
Yes/No questions...
Are you creative? Absolutely not. I like doing the logical/rational side of things... I let others take care of creative aspects, if they have to be present.
Do you like spending a sunny day outdoors? NO, unless I’m at the beach then sunny is the only way to go. Otherwise I’d rather be indoors or somewhere air-conditioned thx.
Do you get upset easily or over the littlest things? I can be. It’s usually when I’m already stressed/antsy enough, or if I’m on my period.
Do you dislike any of the people in charge of you (i.e: teachers, bosses)? I don’t particularly dislike my prof in my Rizal course but he sure teaches like he doesn’t want to be there. I just haven’t been getting the enthusiasm off of him, and that’s really important to me when it comes to being interested in my subjects. Oh but my PE coach this sem is a bitch - one time I forgot to wear the shirt color she demands us to follow and she ignored me for the entire period. Quickest way to make me feel shitty. So yeah. Probably her.
Do you like to read books/magazines/newspapers? I like books only if they’re non-fiction. I...don’t really read magazines anymore, and I kinda have to check into newspapers from time to time because I take up journalism.
Are you family-oriented? Towards my girlfriend’s family, yeah. I don’t really care about being family-oriented for my own.
Have you ever been friends with someone in the past out of sympathy? Yeah, this girl named MJ in Grade 7. She was a new-ish student then and no one was approaching her, so Gab and I tried to befriend her for a time. Didn’t really pan out that well - we just didn’t mesh - so we stopped talking not long after.
Do/did you ever get nervous around people you are/were crushing on? I still do.
Do you believe in global warming? Duh.
Are you happy with the way society/the world in general is? I’m typically pessimistic when it comes to people, so no not really. I just feel like the bad news always overweigh the good these days - and while good news can serve as rays of sunshine sometimes, I’d rather face reality than live in my own bubble and choose to be oblivious to all the shitstorms happening around me.
Do you ever question your own religion/beliefs? I did, as early as when I was 10. The Bible just didn’t make sense to me to my frustration, and I’ve always felt disgusted with my school guilt-tripping us to be good people because a man got crowned with thorns and nailed to a giant cross. I figured I can be good simply because I choose to, so I let go of my Catholic roots quickly after. Having no friends that time surely forced me to think hahahahahahaha jk 1/2
This/That...
Do you prefer today's trends/styles, or ones from the past? Both have awesome stuff, there’s no need to pick. I’m really into the mom jeans of the 90s, but I also like the yellow trend that’s been going on recently.
Being too cold or too hot? I’d rather be shivering but be comforted with a thick blanket, than sweat bullets and have absolutely no way to cool myself down.
Uploading music to your iPod, or buying CDs? Depends. I used to buy the CDs of my favorite artists then just download the other music I’m not as passionate about.
Fruits or vegitables? VEGETABLESSSSSSSSSSSS. I hate fruits.
Chocolate or vanilla? Chocolate, for the most part. Vanilla tastes like nothing to me. Baseball or football? I don’t watch either and I probably won’t enjoy either either lmao, but I have a bias towards football because my girlfriend’s sisters play the sport. The mall with a bunch of little stores, or one single, big store? Malls kinda work differently here... they’re all one big building with a bunch of restaurants, clothing shops, sports shops, novelty stores, etc. Rap music or rock and roll? Not a big fan of either but I’d go with rock and roll I guess. I like some rap but none of them make me feel things, which rock can sometimes do for me. Roller skates or roller blades? I owned a pair of roller blades when I was 10 and had fun memories with it even though I never did learn how to do it properly. Horror movies that give you nightmares, or romance that makes you vomit? Horror for sure. I don’t even like romance-only movies; they have to be laced with a lot of comedy in between for me to enjoy them. Making more friends or making more money? Making more money sorry LMAOOOOOO Living it up and being stupid, or being safe and never pay the price? I’d always rather be safe. I hate getting reprimanded or caught doing something bad or being punished. Doing more of the talking, or more of the listening in a conversation? Listening, please. I don’t like having the attention on me for too long. Giving or receiving? Giving I guess? I always have a pretty good sense of what my loved ones need, and it’s always nice to see how good they feel when I give it to them. Cats or dogs? Dogs. Playing on the swingsets or the slides (as a kid)? Swings. I was traumatized by one slide when I was 6 because it was apparently blistering hot when I slid down from it, and it almost burned my butt off lmao.
Would you rather...
Bolding these because I’m lazy.
Live off of just food for 2 days, or just beverage for 2 days?
Tell a lie and be believable, or tell the truth and still be blamed?
Die at 65 with the love of your life, or live to 85 being single?
Fart and be heard from far away or fart and be smelled from far away?
Be tickled for an hour straight or be woken up by a bucket of cold water?
Have a cabel snap while bunjee jumping or have the bar go up on a coaster?
Have a deadly plague or a nuclear bomb hit your country? (Don't get ideas!) < This is a sick question to ask these days lol. I’m not answering.
Lick a frozen telephone pole or stick your hand in dry ice? Be rejected by your favorite celebrity or by someone you secretly admire? Give up your favorite food for eternity or eat a bowl of dead spiders? Make a lot of money at a job you hate or little money at a job you love? Jump off a bridge or from a moving car? < Another sick question.
Favorites...
Color(s): Pink, sky blue, off-white.
Song(s): I don’t have one at the moment. I haven’t listened to any music in a while, save for lo-fi.
Artist(s): Beyoncé if we’re talking solo, Paramore if you mean bands.
Music genre: I don’t have a favorite one; my taste is pretty scattered.
Movie: Two for the Road or Good Will Hunting
TV show: Breaking Bad, Friends, BoJack Horseman, Queer Eye
Actor and actress: Gregory Peck; Audrey Hepburn or Kristen Stewart
Movie/TV genre: Romantic comedy or drama lmao, I’m a sappy bitch. Suspense and psychological horror are also cool.
Restarant: Yabu, Mendokoro Ramenba, or Silantro
Food: Sushi
Dessert: Macarons
Hobby: Going to museums! Or reading about the history of anything.
Activity to do out of boredom: Scroll my social media feeds orrrrrr do surveys, or watch cooking videos on YouTube heh.
Type of weather: Bleak, rainy, and chilly.
Book: I don’t have a favorite.
Subject in school: History
Item that you own: My car hahahaha
Pastime: Eating out and window shopping. Maybe I’m just saying these because I haven’t been to a mall in a while :/
Site: Palawan
Tourist attraction: I’ve always wanted to go to those towers that lets you go to the top floor and the floor is just literal glass. If I’m gonna be a tourist-y tourist, that’s the first place I’d go to haha.
Random questions in your own words...
If you could have any desired superpower, what would it be?
The history nerd in me would take up time travel in an instant. And I won’t even be using it as a superpower lmao, it’d be like a research pastime for me.
What would be your dream job?
If I wasn’t such an introvert and if I were a lot better in handling crowds, I really would have wanted to be a pro wrestler.
Descibe your dream date:
Museum in the day, cute dinner at night.
What was the best day of your life like?
I don’t know if that has happened yet.
What was the worst day of your life like?
So far my worst day was when I wasn’t accepted into my school paper in high school and I spent like 18 hours crying my eyes out. I liked writing and was accepted for my portfolio, but people thought I was too shy to fit the group’s dynamic and ended up getting booted. There are quiet writers too, assholes.
If you ever have kids one day, what you you name them?
Too early for this lol I’ve only had name picked out - Olivia.
What's one thing that will bring you out of your worst mood no matter what?
My dog. FOR SURE.
Who's the most annoying person you've ever encountered?
Jem, someone from my college who thinks she’s close with me but I really do not like her at all.
If you could grow up to be like anybody, who would it be?
I don’t believe in having role models. I just want to be the best version of myself.
If you could change something about yourself, what would it be?
My mental health could be mental healthier.
What's your favorite inspirational/famous quote? I don’t depend on these either. Describe your dream ice cream sundae (unlimited toppings): Meh, I don’t like sundaes. Just scoops would be fine with me. What comes to mind first when you think of your favorite color? I have no idea why this is what I remember, but it was the day I went shopping for school supplies and got myself a pink clipboard, pink pencil case, pink expander, and pink highlighters. I think it’s because it was that day where I had to acknowledge that pink was in fact, unironically, my favorite color HAHAHA What's something in your life that you once hated but came to like? ^ The color pink. And chicken curry. What's something in your life that you once liked but came to hate? Cooked salmon. There was one phase my mom made it almost everyday and I just got sick of it. I refuse to eat salmon to this day unless it’s sashimi or in sushi. If you could stop any chaos/problem in our world today, what would it be? This fucking pandemic. 2020 CAN’T CONTINUE BECAUSE OF YOU. What would be the best way to die, in your opinion? Peacefully, in sleep, with no pain. What would be the worst way to die? Falling off a cliff (or anywhere high) and landing on a boulder EUGH I cringe at it. Also getting impaled. AND plane crashes. If you could give your room a free makeover, what would you do to it? I’d make it look spacier by moving the bed to the wall so there’s a lot of free space in the middle. I’d also add a desk, work chair, and a lamp so I can study there. If you could have an unlimited amount of anything, what would it be? The number of years my dog would live. What's one thing that you like that would probably surprise your friends? They know I like punk rock in general but I haven’t shared any of the music with them. It would definitely surprise them. Out of everything in the world, what holds the most meaning to you? Stability.

THE AARONS 2018 - Best TV Show
I stated last year that 2017 was the year Peak TV broke me, with too many shows spread across too many services, with many more on their way. 2018 was the year I learned to let go of the fact that I will never be able to watch every show, and to just be content with all the great shows I was able to catch. Here are the Aarons for Best TV Show:
#10. Barry (Season 1) – HBO
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/d5429e4ffa205ce42cb1b99bfc2473c3/tumblr_inline_pljvasb2sU1txrm52_540.jpg)
A simple premise that could initially be dismissed as prestige TV’s over-fascination with anti-heroes mixed with Hollywood’s over-fascination with itself, Bill Hader’s dark-comedy about a hitman who moves to LA to pursue an acting career quickly develops into a complex examination of post-war PTSD, a deconstruction of television tropes, and, simultaneously, just one of the funniest shows of the year. With veteran comedic talent like Henry Winkler and surprising break-outs like Anthony Carrigan to bolster a firing-on-all-cylinders Bill Hader as the titular character, Barry says “Yes, and…” to every opportunity to mix its hilarity with harrowing content to pitch-perfect results. While the premise, which feels dangerously close to slipping into Dexter territory by season’s end, may end up unsustainable at this level of quality, for now, Barry is a sure-fire hit, man.
#9. Dear White People (Season 2) – Netflix
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1bd2a0ec0253860a48fe57ff89381cce/tumblr_inline_pljvdbYfCc1txrm52_540.jpg)
More than weathering the backlash to its misnomer title, as well as the political climate that feeds into that backlash, Dear White People channels all that rage, frustration, misunderstanding, and fear into an oft-livid, oft-cathartic, and always witty season of television. Funny while never losing its firm focus, the most amusing aspect of Dear White People is perhaps the absolute joke it makes of the idea “diversity of thought” is mutually exclusive from “diversity of people” through the deft writing of its exceptional ensemble cast, who take turns shining in episodes that range from a groovy neo-noir mystery to an emotionally-eruptive bottle episode, culminating in an intriguing cliffhanger that suggests Dear White People has plenty left to address.
#8. Daredevil (Season 3) – Netflix
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e0bf58ca34fcdf28f25ac60fc41549be/tumblr_inline_pljvf5uB3Q1txrm52_540.jpg)
Just as Wilson Fisk clawed his way back up to being the King of Crime throughout the third season of the superhero drama, Daredevil clawed its way back up to the King of the Marvel-Netflix collaborations (and back onto this list following its nod all the way back in the 2015 Aarons) with a storyline based on the acclaimed “Born Again” comic-book run. While the show continues to have significant failings (including, most egregiously, the literal fridging of a female character in this latest batch of episodes), it’s easy for viewers to become blinded to them thanks to the chemistry of its main trio of friends, its renewed fixation on weighty thematic content, and, of course, its impressive fight sequences, including most notably the now-requisite one-take fight sequence that takes the form of an expansive prison riot this go-round. While the series has now been cancelled, solace can at least be found in the fact the show underwent such a creative rebirth before its untimely demise.
#7. American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace (Season 2) – FX
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6d6398f67c1bebf46c4c0a3799b6d3a7/tumblr_inline_pljvhbu9WY1txrm52_540.jpg)
Ryan Murphy’s anthology series may have been working with less well-known true-crime material in its second outing, but the resulting exploration of the sinister systemic forces that influence such shocking stories is no less resonant. True-crime has several difficult hurdles to clear to not feel like cheap exploitation, and American Crime Story strikes the right balance to its appropriately disturbing portrayal of the heinous acts by framing them through the devastating impact they have, not only on the direct victims, but on the whole of a society more concerned with reinforcing homophobic power structures than with the pain and horror such structures produce. The season’s reverse-chronological structure not only makes for compelling storytelling, but seems perfectly suited for the way in which the series traces the sins of America’s modern day to the crimes of its past, creating impactful television.
#6. Supergirl (Season 3b-4a) – CW
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/514f255cf4af3a147741c0863e969700/tumblr_inline_pljviuL67J1txrm52_540.jpg)
Supergirl’s continually-increasing confidence and complexity has sent the series soaring to new heights with its pointed fourth season, which distills its obvious real-world political influences into an effectively universal rumination on the insidious nature of bigotry, the trials of public perceptions, and the necessity of hope. It remains to be seen whether Supergirl can stick the landing with its lofty ambitions, which deserve appreciation regardless, but grounding its dynamic superhero storytelling in the inspirational performance of lead Melissa Benoist, as well as a further push for inclusivity with the introduction of television’s first transgender superhero Dreamer, makes for television that is quite super, girl.
Hey, it’s my awards show. Let me pun.
#5. Better Call Saul (Season 4) – AMC
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/1ebd954f3da3667afac3ea4fb7aa2305/tumblr_inline_pljvl1pYaA1txrm52_540.jpg)
Better Call Saul’s fourth season appeared to reach a breaking point in regard to its overlap in cast, stories, and timeline with its parent show, it’s an aspect that could be read as a significant flaw or as the greatest strength of a great season. It’s easy to lament the loss of the quirky lawyer comedy the show was in its earlier episodes, but this mourning is perhaps reflective of the soul-wrenching moral descent of Jimmy McGill, spiraling harder and faster in wake of last season’s tragic ending. It’s painful in all the right ways watching the excellent cast lead their characters to fates both known and unknown, making for a momentous (and still endearingly offbeat) season of television that recalls the finest moments of Breaking Bad, but just might be arguably better.
#4. BoJack Horseman (Season 5) – Netflix
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/df7923225597a54435731e2087240ecc/tumblr_inline_pljvmhczP41txrm52_540.jpg)
In a series renowned for its gut-punches, the underlying message of BoJack Horseman’s fifth season might be the most difficult to grapple with: No amount of regret, good intentions, or tragic backstories excuses BoJack or entitles him to a happy ending. But that’s no reason not to continue to seek healing. Netflix’s animated adventures of anthropomorphic animals continues to be one of the most important and affecting examinations of toxic relationships, mental illness, and the cycles of abuse in art. The fifth season’s added meta-narrative allows the show to deconstruct the uncomfortability of its own representations, and the toxicity in its own fanbase. At a time when questions of abuse and reconciliation not just in Hollywood, but everywhere, rage in our cultural consciousness, BoJack Horseman provides a powerful way to grapple with these issues… and make them digestible through its quick-witted wordplay, visual gags, and general horsing around, as always.
#3. Legends of Tomorrow (Season 3b-4a) – CW
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a24d63092207cae6981c7fa8b4cc5253/tumblr_inline_pljvnuzH7Q1txrm52_540.jpg)
If you were to travel back in time to just a few years ago, it would feel unbelievable how big the CW’s interconnected superhero universe has become... and that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would lead the pack in quality. However, the once middling show really went the extra mile in spicing things up. Sending a talking, telepathic gorilla back in time to kidnap a young Barrack Obama? Combining elemental energies to form an enlarged Tickle-Me-Elmo rip-off named Beebo to take down a Time Demon? Having your Time Demon played by classical actor John Noble, and then having an episode in which the characters travel back in time to the set of the Lord of the Rings movies to record the voice of John Noble, playing Denathor, playing himself in order to trick a character into believing that John Noble’s John Noble voice is in fact the voice of John Noble’s Time Demon character?? It’s hard to believe that these episodes exist in any show, let alone all of them (and so much more) in one. This zany energy, accentuated by a game cast and an embrace of its misfit nature, reflected in the character’s diversity in both backgrounds and powers, have allowed the show to finally rightfully claim the title of legendary.
#2. Atlanta (Season 2) – FX
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/b59fdc4e44179da7a830ccff30e1d065/tumblr_inline_pljvpeH7Qb1txrm52_540.jpg)
Much like the last entry on this list, it’s impossible to know what to expect when one sits down to watch the latest episode of Donald Glover’s uncanny comedy Atlanta, which, when it first appeared on this list two years ago, was aptly described as like a never-ending Christmas. Whether banding together its group of rising comedic talent (including Zazie Beetz, Brian Tyree Henry, and Lakeith Stanfield) or spinning them off into their own madcap adventures, Atlanta continued to surprise and stupefy in style in its sophomore outing. Once again weaving insightful socio-economic commentary into sitcom premises cranked up to ten and funneled through an idiosyncratic vision, Atlanta’s quality remained as lush and bold as evergreen lantana.
That one’s not really a pun, but, again, this is my awards show, so no one can stop me.
AND THE BEST TV SHOW OF 2018 IS...
#1. The Good Place (Season 3) – NBC
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/a7afcffb8962035fc15ac3e05cee90e4/tumblr_inline_pljvseESvs1txrm52_540.jpg)
When The Good Place began, it was met with a caution concerning its long term sustainability, but in its now third season, the show’s penchant for blowing up its own premise at every opportunity can be clearly seen as the confident strokes of a long-gestating story. Even within its absurd afterlife of bizarre predilections and oddball characters, the show never loses sight of its stirring humanistic core, which found new resonance in an inspirational third season premise that provides hope and happiness in the seemingly most dire of circumstances. While, as of this writing, it remains to be seen in what ways the show might again radically alter its make-up heading into the confirmed fourth season, but, based on the bonzer quality of the entire show thus far, it might be time to start considering that we’ve all been in the Good Place this whole time.

Sadness
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/4b3a91a22a188b25fab99cdbe300649a/6d45402b4a87d5fc-7c/s540x810/e2a6c73830e476628f8659a90d98daabb95210a3.jpg)
The treatment of the breaking of the fourth wall in Fleabag is the most compelling thing I’ve seen all year. Throughout the first season, our protagonist Fleabag (played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge who also writes the show) would look at the camera to make witty asides. Usually a sarcastic remark or eye roll to hammer home that she’s sardonic, insincere, perhaps a little underhanded.
You’ve probably noticed how if you’re in a one-on-one conversation, it’s hard to rag on someone but that in a group it works (because you can pretend it’s good natured humour rather than a scathing attack on their very existence). In Fleabag, the breaking of the fourth wall is a way for Fleabag to safely ridicule whoever she’s speaking to. It’s also a succinct way of delivering backstory, revealing her intentions, and getting us on side. These interactions with the fourth wall are pretty standard, see: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Amélie, House of Cards, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Shakespearean asides, American Psycho. It’s an accepted device. But then in season two, when Fleabag speaks to us, someone takes notice, someone spots her dipping out of their diegetic reality as she speaks to us in ours.
I thrilled at this.
Sometimes I feel like I’ve seen everything - but I’d never seen this before. This is the most exciting thing I’ve ever seen on a TV show (forget the Red Wedding). This is a masterful trick, and great storytelling all at once - it demolishes a literary device. But most of the coverage of Fleabag has focused on how sad the show is:
People seem to like that: they like being crushed, enjoy being devastated. Why is that?
I’ve recently cried over two cowboy related things: Brokeback Mountain and Red Dead Redemption 2.
youtube
I cried when I finished Red Dead Redemption 2 because I love Arthur Morgan so much: he was just the sweetest guy, and I was sad the story was over because we can’t go fishing anymore, or crash his horse into trees and fall, or fight gators in the swamps, or brush his horse while we cruise around the old west. I just felt so wistful for his life and the idea of bad guys working hard to be good in a changing world.
And then I cried at the end of Brokeback Mountain because it is objectively very sad. The shirts tucked inside each other which Jack kept all those years. The possibility that Jack didn’t know how much Ennis loved him. The life they could have had together, and how much they loved each other - but the families and relationships they destroyed along the way as well, because no one ever said what they felt.
I really liked both Brokeback and Red Dead, because they have great stories and characters. In Red Dead, I have so many fond memories - and for that reason it made me feel strong emotions. But I don’t like Red Dead because it made me feel strong emotions. I don’t like Brokeback because it was ‘crushing’ and/or ‘devastating’ - it was enjoyable because it was a beautiful story with tragic, poignant elements. I like the story - not that it made me cry. Most Fleabag reviews seem to focus on the sadness it made the audience feel as a way to recommend it to people.
Watch Fleabag - it will make you feel something.
Prepare to emote because Fleabag is preternaturally sad.
The discourse around the show on Reddit is similar:
Pffft want to feel really sad? Check out this scene from Synecdoche, New York:
youtube
It’s very moving, kind of irresistibly so. And I think that’s because it’s calling out to that scared, bitter, self-pitying part of you which is always cringing in the shadows, waiting for someone to invite it out of the garage into the living room. This speech is designed to frighten you: you’ll make misssssstakesss and ruin your life. You won’t even know you’re doing it until it’ssssss toooooo late. You might think your life is nice - but that’sssssssssssss only because you haven’t ssssssssssseen how bad it will get. It’s giving you permission to feel bad without providing any reason to feel bad, and then it’s allowing you to wallow in that bad feeling. It’s poison.
I promise you, for 99% of people who watched Synecdoche, New York , life is not that bad. People in horrible, war torn places where they aren’t able to watch Charlie Kaufman films because no one dubs indie movies in Kurdish have it bad - and not just because they’re missing out on great films, but because they essentially live in a sandier version of Hell. Haven’t you ever sat in the sun with a dog and seen it look back at you and felt a perfect connection? Haven’t you ever fallen asleep, perfectly comfortable, tucked in beside someone you love? Haven’t you ever eaten pancakes with ice cream, or seen a huge mountain, or been really cold and then gotten into a warm bath? Haven’t you ever seen a baby fake-crying on the tram and then its mum tickles it under the chin and it laughs, and you see everyone around you smile because babies are so pure? Come on! You’re not Othello. Your life is pretty nice. Even Othello’s life was pretty nice right up until the end.
Pretty nice.
But boring. Right?
Pancakes? Cuddles?
How am I to thrill at sunsets and smiling babies?
Good. Now I’m sad again.
And if the realisation that you don’t have anything to be sad about (except for the ordinariness of the pleasures in your life) didn’t make you sad, check out this compilation of the 10 most depressing moments in Bojack Horseman (ranked in order from least depressing to most depressing!).
A major inconvenience of modern life is that most of us have supremely comfortable, happy, safe lives. And when something goes wrong, you can’t go on a tragic rampage and tear out your own eyes, beat your breast, or wail on the moor in a thunderstorm - even though that may be what you feel like doing.
Work sucks, no one respects me, and I messed up that section of the Excel spreadsheet so maybe they are right to not respect me: take me to a moor where my tears can blend with rain and my howls will be swallowed by the wind!
Ordinary people don’t get to live in a tragedy - and besides, there aren’t as many moors around as literature might have you believe. The most you can do usually is make a scene at a family dinner or isolate yourself at a party and then get drunk and walk home crying. Who would write a sweeping, romantic story about an embarrassing fuck up walking home drunk, feeling sorry for themselves.
Oh.
Wait:

And Now For That 2000 Year Old Mystery
Aristotle’s Poetics is the source of the word catharsis (in italics because it’s Greek which is the way I was taught to do it in high school - if only there were Greecian-alics, am I right?), which in common parlance today basically means any kind of dramatic release of emotions. Kickboxing is cathartic. Getting your eyebrows waxed is cathartic. Crying during an emotional episode of a TV show is cathartic.
Because the word appeared in Poetics, it's original usage related to the theatre, in particular the experience of an audience watching a tragedy: the release of emotions they feel in watching things go seriously wrong for the hero. For this reason, catharsis is often tied to anagnorisis - the moment of tragic realisation.
Oh god I killed my father and married my mother.
Oh god, that’s my son’s head on the pike, not the head of a mountain lion.
Oh god, remember when I messed up that bit of the spreadsheet and everyone knew it was me. Existence truly is pain.
You get the idea. It’s not enough that the protagonist is a fuck up: that matter needs to be brought to their attention and they need to reflect on it.
(A more proper (read: academic) definition of catharsis is: “an imitation of an action ‘with incidents arousing pity and fear, wherewith to accomplish its catharsis of such emotions.’” The emotions the audience feel echo what the people on stage are feeling. The jump scare in a horror movie scares the character on screen and the audience watching at home.)
Aristotle never clearly defined catharsis. So for all this time (2000+ years) people have been trying to infer what he meant from a couple of references to a pretty slippery concept. Even though the general public has their understanding of the word, academics still cannot agree on a definition. But we know what it means, roughly, because we’ve all experienced it.
Over the weekend I watched Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s other other TV show (not Killing Eve) which had an exchange between an artist and a drunk girl on sadness and how it factors into art:
Character 1: He’s my muse!
Character 2: Your muse?
...
Character 2: Like an artist's muse?!
Character 1: Yes, he is! You think meeting someone like Colin happens to artists all the time?! He gives so much.
Character 2: Yeah, sure, and you just lap it up and just slap it on a canvas.
Character 1: Pardon?
Character 2: "His pain is so beautiful." You're using him to indulge yourself.
Character 1: I am indulging? And what is this?
Character 2: This is a $4 bottle of wine.
...
Character 2: Sorry if I upset you, Melody.
Character 1: You don't upset me. You bore me. All you seem to want to do is drink and wank and drink and wank.
Character 2: Well, at least I don't have to wank other people's pain onto a canvas, and then shove it in people's faces and call it "my art."
Character 2 in this scene is played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. I can’t be bothered to explain why it’s relevant.
For the eternity of human brains, or at least for as long as preserved creativity, the most comfortable, secure people in the world have tried to experience the things tragic victims feel - perhaps so they can briefly know what it feels like to be a romantic figure struggling in an unjust world. A passport to feelings and drama we aren’t permitted in every day life. Catharsis is the word to express the reaction, but what do we call an audience who seeks out that sensation? Catharsis chasers?
It’s not insightful to say that people like to watch Fast & Furious movies because they’re exciting and perhaps audiences enjoy that excitement because their own lives are un-exciting. But commending a thing because it will make you sad seems aberrant in some way. A fast and dangerous car that will make you miserable. A roller coaster that will make you depressed. An incredible shootout in the streets of LA that will make you sob in the bathroom cubicle at work every time you think about it. I can’t explain the drive, but like Aristotle I will invent a new word, so that academics can never know what I meant but will still write at great length about it, so that it will slip into common parlance and be horribly misused until eventually, 2000 years from now, a girl can waffle on about it on her blog. And the word will be: scartharsio. Or maybe scorpithoniacs? Or sarcastiharsics?
Sadness is entertainment for a scartharsio.
