Hello! I stumbled onto Charoga art inspired by a fic you wrote called Ritual and I am now interested in reading your fic, but am unable to find it. Could you please share a link to your fic?
Hi! It's been a hot minute since I've shared my Charoga stuff, and this fic in particular is pretty old so I can't speak for the quality, but absolutely I can share:

For the tea asks, irish breakfast, ginger, teapot?
Irish breakfast: what country do you want to visit?
I think I'd like to visit India. They have beautiful art and tasty food, at least as far as I can tell from over here. I'm intimidated by the long flight and cultural differences, but hopefully one day I'll get over that and try it out.
Ginger: favorite color?
Green! I am currently wearing a green sweatshirt and bandana. I also like yellow and maroon.
Teapot: music preference?
My little niche is 90s rock/alternative music. I own a bunch of albums from one hit wonders that I really like. Lately I've been listening to Cracker, who have some interesting old country crossover stuff. Unrelated, but I also like Mitski a lot.
Thanks! I'll get you back with the ask game shortly!

Top 5 romance tropes and/or Top 5 winter activities?
I always see those wonderfully specific “favorite trope” posts going around and am like YES and then I promptly forget them. Off the top of my head...
Rivals to lovers
Curmudgeon is soft for one (1) person
Mutual pining
One character showing up at the other’s doorstep because they “didn’t know where else to go”
Hurt/comfort but especially in the “oh no you are injured and we are forced to initiate physical contact oh god” kind of way
Favorite winter activities:
Walking on freshly fallen snow
Making roasts and soups and hearty things
Taking the guppies sledding
Climbing into snuggly flannel sheets at night
Staying inside and being warm

I love all your photography but I am really utterly in love with your "O midsummer twilight / O yearning" series. It evokes such a wonderful feeling. You are an amazingly skilled photographer!
Thank you so so much, I really really appreciate it! I think I’m going to try to do more evening photography like that, it is a fun change up and a feeling I don’t often get to explore in my photography.

11, 12, 13?
11. Where do you want to go most when travel is safe again?
Excluding family? IwannagobacktoDisneyland. I know it’s completely selfish, and I will absolutely not even consider it without a vaccine. HOWEVER, we bought our annual passes two weeks before everything shut down and I CRY. WE HAD IT FOR TWO WEEKS AND THEN NOPE.
12. What opportunities did you have to miss bc of like, everything? MY FUCKING WEDDING
13. What are you grateful for this year? I am grateful to be working somewhere that is putting good out into the world and that allows me to work from home.

Your turn! Did you ever have a crush on a cartoon character as a child, and if so, who?
Thank you for the ask in return :P !!!
I guess my very first true love was ...
XDXDXD, no kidding! I was in 1st or 2nd grade (German school system, so like 6 or 7 years old) and deeply in love, you know? I guess he was charming and so French, kind of flirty ... and I was totally diggin’ his French accent (and look at me now, I’m still obsessed with a French dude creep XD). I even chose to draw like 10 different pics for a school art project back then to tell a self-insert fanfiction in which I was the one who broke the spell by kissing Lumière.

bogglocity replied to your post “Reasons for happiness: - hot water bottles - hot baths - bread and...”
I never really understood the fuss over hot water bottles for the longest time because I thought the electric heating pads were just a logically superior choice. Clover came to us with a hot water bottle to keep her warm at night and I held it against me and I understand now. They're so amazing.
I’ve never had an electric heating pad, so I can’t say anything about them, but I genuinely don’t know how I survived the first few years of having a period without a hot water bottle.
And I used to take it to bed all the time when I was single to warm up my feet, and in hindsight I wonder how much of my insomnia as a kid was just caused by having cold feet all the time - maybe it could have been cured with a hot water bottle?

For the music asks: 3, 20, 25, 30?
3. A song that reminds you of summertime?
Summertime Clothes by Animal Collective
Easy association since the word is in the title, but this song just gets it.
20. A song that has many meanings to you?
Love Me Dead by Ludo
Sexy in a monsterfucker sorta way, but also reminds me of my sister and friends singing it on car trips with the windows down. Plus the band is from near where I live, so that's neat!
25. A song by an artist no longer living?
Say Yes by Elliott Smith
RIP
30. A song that reminds you of yourself?
Someone New by Hozier
I just have a crush on everyone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
thnks fr th ask!

For the fanfic asks, 1, 12, 22, 23?
1) favorite fic you wrote this year
The Delta ‘verse! Six months later (and I cannot believe it’s been that long) and I still find myself musing on it. All that melancholy tenderness and the intimacy of it and it’s so lovely and so heartbreaking. It was very satisfying to write because it hit both buttons I knew I had and ones I didn’t know I had, and it allowed me to play around with things I’ve had an interest in for a long time. It’s a fic that series doesn’t much care what anyone thinks of it, but I love it dearly to pieces.
12) favorite character to write about this year
(discounting all historical cameos)
Probably Philippe? I never really wrote him before except as a background character, but I’ve found myself playing with him a lot this year. My first fic of the year, Necessity, focused on him in the Etched with Tears/Wraiths of Wandering ‘verse, and what was supposed to be a minor role in Soft Place to Fall grew to be one of my favourite parts of it. Recently ofc I’ve explored him a good bit in the sanatorium AU and the time travel AU and if all goes according to plan he’ll be a central figure in the new western AU. But he’s definitely been the standout character of the year for me.
22) events you participated in this year
Believe it or not but I actually had to go looking to see if I *had* participated in any events. I ran both #PotOAUFics and #PotORarerPairs, but they hardly count when I didn’t actively participate. So I went digging, and it turns out I did participate in something! I wrote Haemorrhage for @timebird84’s #Farewell Challenge! Tbh I couldn’t quite remember if that had even this year or last year, but it was the spring/early summer of this year and it’s a fic that I still have a soft spot for.
If all goes to plan, I should also have a last-minute entry to @notaghost3’s Christmas one-shot contest!
23) fics you wanted to write but didn’t
The socialist seventies AU. The 1977 election (including a certain Independent Labour candidate who won a seat in Dublin Artane) is one that I’m particularly interested in because it came at the end of a terrible government, and the one that followed it is notorious for a variety of reasons, but it also showed that there was a desire to vote for openly socialist candidates in certain areas if there candidates willing to stand, and ofc it split the Labour Party yet again.
In terms of fic, I tend to imagine Philippe as a young campaigner in 1977 which somehow leads to his meeting Sorelli and becoming involved with her and at some point after that they both become involved with Christine, but I never got around to framing it properly and I do wonder if it would be better held off as something original.
(Though you bet the 1977 election is earmarked to eventually appear in all before us lie)

3, 13, 18, 30, 40?
3 is answered!
13. talk about an au or story you came up with when I was in middle and high school, my sister and my friends and I had this concept that was an island completely run by vampires. in the capitol city there were four governing groups of vampires, and the two sons of the most prominent group were framed for murder of their other, older brother and cast into neutral territory, where they ended up putting together a band of tragic misfits to combat their former family. still think about it a lot. love those vampires
18 is answered!
30. what instrument do you wish you could master? CELLO next question
40. do you like light blankets or heavy blankets? HEAVY, I have a 20lb weighted blanket and I don’t know what I did before it

A return ask for you! What has been YOUR favourite piece to write? Is there one you might write differently if you were to try again?
Ooooooh how the turn tables! I mean...
As for writing... I think my favorite thus far is Consumed (or on ffn) because writing the mystery and the intensity was a challenge without revealing the ending. It’s *really* satisfying to me and I really like reading it myself (a rarity!)
As for writing differently... Maybe The Phantom and the Count. I want to get back to it, but writing horror during a horrifying time is... just not in a place I want to be mentally. But I want to get to places in there!
