I'm sitting here, Thursday night, post Nov. 5th Elections ("A date which will live in INFAMY"), and it dawns on me that while this wave of irresponsible hate, greed, and pride covers the US, I want everyone to remember that we can still push back. Don't ever forget that this is the result of apathy, pride, and depression. The Right Wing Authoritarians only won a figurehead . . . that's it. In 2 more years there's another vote for house and senate, and that will be a chance to curb the Raging Orange's horseshit. Also, a lot of what they supposedly plan will only bite them in the ass, mass deportations (if they even try) will remove people from jobs leaving people who have no expertise to fill the roles. Construction projects will be brought to a steep and sudden halt overnight among other things. Wasn't it Florida that experienced this phenom earlier . . . leaving a housing development thoroughly undeveloped?
For our kin in the LGBTQ+, be defiant, but do so in a way they can't complain. I wish I knew more about what could be done, but whatever you do, DON'T GIVE UP! Make this would-be king remember that it's the people who got him into this position, and it's still the people that can tear him down, and any attemp he makes on you will only result in a France grade Resistance. Hoist your colors high and keep fighting for what's right, and rightfully yours.
For our Women, I am truly concerned for those of you who voted for him, knowing full well what would happen, or what he would attempt. Your health will always mean more than this madman, show him that just because you have different genitals doesn't mean weakness and that because he's a male, everyone knows what his weaknesses are.
Lastly, for those who voted for Trump, we were telling you this would be a bad idea, and he'll do nothing to help you at all. And when all your hard work comes to a halt, he's not going to give two shits while swimming at a pool with his buddies Bezos and Musk. You voted for a president who is a confirmed madman, and will attempt to become a form of "King Above All" instead. This should make you feel guilty for fucking up your home for a empty promise made by an orange narcissist.

Let's say it a little louder for the people in back!
Rich people are literally blood clots in their beloved economy, but they're too greedy to notice that. Remember, people work only to make the 1% rich, not to improve the economy of the nation they live in. CEOs are making on average 250-350x employee base pay. To put that into simple terms, if the minimum wage is $7.25/hr (or $17,000/yr), then a low end CEO is making $1812.50/hr (or $3,700,000/yr, or $3.7 Million per year for those who missed all those zeroes).
Now lets show what tax inequality does.
I work at my job, and 25% of my paycheck goes to taxes/health insurance (that's $20/hr, so I get a little over $2400/mo after taxes, but before bills, so 25% means I pay $800/mo)
So if a person is making $1812/hr, that amounts to keeping $217,000/mo (assuming payment every other week; that's $70,000 paid in taxes at 25%)
Can you even comprehend that scale, to be making so much that taxes only take out pocket change at lower brackets?
$800 for most of us is like a house payment, or half a (current) month's rent.
$70,000 is a gross excess, which amounts to basically putting a down payment on a house/property. This is called luxury living. Now, if the tax rate was reset back to 75% for those making $300k or more per year, let's see what that new amount would be:
$290,000 (again, that's at $1812/hr) taxed would amount to keeping $72,000 per every 4 weeks (paid $144,000). So even at a 75% tax rate, they're still saving more in a month than over 75% of the US populations makes in 1 year.
And this can be designated the source of US inflation (even global given that most CEOs practice this same form of legalized embezzlement). The more billionaires there are, the more they become blood clots in the economy, and their claim of inflation is more on par with greed and embezzling funds from their employees.

One could say work related depression (or inducing depressive habits).
Here's the thing . . . you work 40 hours a week currently, 8 hrs a day. Now, ideally when this was setup in the 40s I think, you'd work 8 hours, then have 8 hours to be awake and do whatever you want, then 8 hours sleep. But, that's not what happens as your personal 8 hours is spent getting ready for work, and recovering from the work day, so you only have 2-4 personal hours each day. Add a meal prep to that and you likely have closer to 1 hour personal time (which is why the cheap microwave meals exist, which also aren't too healthy for you either).
Then, add on top of that bills . . . so the average worker literally working for what amounts to underappreciated financial slave labor. And why you ask is that? Because a CEO is permitted to embezzle from their own company while stiffing their employees.
I don't know about you, but i'm not working $20/hr just so some head honcho can make $2500 or more per hour. They can afford to pay people more per hour, they just don't care enough to do it.

Epiphany: The Failures of Business and Economy
Well, it's mid-2024, election season coming up in the US, and 4 years since the Covid Pandemic hit. Sadly, all of the jobs I've had since were affiliated with government, and thus covered by employment as "Essential" due to the company's government contracts. But that aside, let's look at what's been happening since: inflation rose even more (currently $3.25/gal for gas in many states), rent and taxes have increased but with little/no improvement on employee pay, insurance also up, housing rates up . . . it's like the only thing that didn't go up with inflation was, of course, wages. This is FUCKING ABSURD!
And what makes it worse, i recently heard that the person currently running Wal-Mart of all places is making 900x what their employees make . . . so if a starting employee is making (only now making that is) $10/hr, that means this CEO is making $9000/hr . . . I'm sorry, is that even legal? Just because you are making big decisions for a company doesn't mean you're actual worth 900x your employees. You should realize, without your employees, and the blatant embezzling of their potential funds, you'd not be making that amount. There used to be this thing called "luxury taxes," and anyone making over $300k/year was taxed at 75% . . . yet, they're not paying much, if anything on their taxes.
This is just stupid rich, not wealth, but rich, and that's a bad thing for the economy. I don't want to hear "well they create jobs," mother fucker they don't . . . a job only exists when there's a viable and stable market/need for their goods/services . . . this is what "The customer is always right" means . . . means all things are customer driven, whether by popularity or need. IF you create something no one needs, or even wants, guess what? You creation of a job is going to fail.
But I digress, as here's the real reason inflation is a thing . . . because we have billionaires. That's right, wal-mart and other places are increasing their prices because certain jackasses have taken a LOT of money out of circulation, one could call a "economic blood clot." THeir money isn't moving, nor working, which is why their taxes were so high . . . that which is taken out of a system must be put back in by some critical amount. Inflation then becomes an opportunistic excuse to jack up prices, not a necessity.
Last i recall, no one is born with the intent of lifetime servitude to another's well-being. Most of us don't mind working, but when you realize what you're working for is only to put that much more money in another person's pockets, its clearly a blatant insult on human rights. As someone born to the US, we were supposed to be freed from having Kings and Queens . . . but it looks like CEOs are trying to bring back the fiefdoms that our founders didn't want. No one should be born to only become an economic/financial slave to others.

The more a system takes away from it's people, the sooner it's people will rise against it. History has proven that time and again, and just because it hasn't happened in a long time doesn't mean it never will again . . .
