My Halloween endeavour this year. Last year it was just Calloween. This year I decided to undertake 2 pumpkins, something I've not done before. Took me about 8 hours start to finish. I think Cal turned out a little better but I am still happy with the result.

it is very funny to me though how classic who had enough companions survive in a way that they can return that apparently they form a support group in 13’s seasons or something. but for nuwho you’ve got like. donna. martha, maybe, if she’s willing to come out of hiding after faking her death to get away from UNIT. uhhhh. well, there’s Jack Harkness. I don’t think he’s getting invited but I think he’d probably show up anyway.

The man standing before him now bore a peculiar cursed energy signature, strange and unusual - uniquely foreign. But it was as fascinating as it was bothersome, previously relaxed nerves now tweaked by uncertainty and instinctive alarm. Kaede thought it best to be wary of and alert around sorcerers of all sorts, ally or foe, even and especially when wasting a few hours at a dive bar in the city and getting a little buzzed in the process. He was supposed to be having the fun other people his age were, meeting new people and letting loose, taking the edge off with a night out - not eyeballing a stange, handsome, probably dangerous sorcerer as if his night had been utterly, completely ruined.

He heaved a whisky-tinged sigh and rolled his eyes, pouting under the lamplight, tugging on a long lock of hair with a single finger and idly adjusting his jacket. Self-conscious at the wrong time, for he'd been caught staring, reflexively glancing away with a swiftness that would put his sober self to shame. He didn't say anything, pretending as if he hadn't been gawking at the man with silvery platinum hair and blue eyes, as if he hadn't noticed his cursed energy, the look on his face--

If he had to work on his days off, he was going to be pissed.

With a swell of, perhaps, arrogant clarity, Kaede looked at the man once more. If he spoke, he hadn't heard a word, too busy with his thoughts to listen properly. Lips moving without uttering a sound.

"You look familiar, sorry," he said quickly, a stubborn firmness to his cover. "Was trying to figure out if you were an actor, or...someone I might have met once."

absolutely wild that when i decide to rot in bed all day, I don't lose service ONCE, but when I get up and go sit on my couch or try to move around and be productive I get blast with 9 hours no phone connection

i meant to post this a while ago. but this is roughly my personal favourites (or most intense) pieces of the year. three whole months i DIDNT draw (or if i did they were just doodles and i was trying to find stuff that was more than just a sketch) things i know ive improved on: hands. anatomy. colors. things i know i still need to improve on: movement. my own patience when it comes to rendering. exploring other pens/linework options.

here's hoping i can get more art done in 2024 as a whole

“I don’t— I don’t know!” A muffled sob broke through the bard’s half-loosened gag, tears and snot trickling over the cloth as the wave of terror turned to complete relief. Scrapes and bruises littered their matted fur, a large patch of still drying blood leaking from the wound upon their head.

From what they could remember, they weren’t trying to play at anything— at least, with what memories they still had intact from the rather unsuspected ambush. What they wouldn’t have given for a regular, casual visit with Alexander had turned into something much more dire, attempting to tearfully meet his gaze from their restraints.

“T—they took mama’s music box,” they sniffled through wet hiccups, attempting to swallow the blood gathering in their mouth, “an’ th’ gold you left me. I wasn’t tryin’ t’ do anythin’ bad, honest— ju—jus’ rent an inn room for a bit, but—“

Sobs began to wrack their body, wincing with each movement. They were pretty sure a few hooves were broken on their right side, their left arm and foot not looking much better. “I— ‘m sorry!”
