members of the 118 and where the fall on the "should you get to park in the fire lane when shopping on shift" debate:

bobby: no. the fire lane is for emergency use only and should only be used when an emergency is happening at the store itself.

hen: no. the community doesn't understand why we can and it's not worth it to get the complaints from them it would cause. but really we should.

chim: yes. if an emergency happens and you get a call while shopping, you need to be able get to the engine as soon as possible to go on the call. of course you need to park in the fire lane. you're on duty, you can't be parking 7 minutes away at the back of the lot. and if an emergency happens at the store while we're there, we're right where we need to be already.

buck: yes. it's our fire lane!! it's for our use!!

eddie: no. it doesn't feel right to park there when just shopping.

ravi: yes. where else do you want us to park. should we just take up 8 spots a 7 minute walk away. that helps no one.
