this is a drawing based off of @defect1filewav ‘s “two heroes loose on the hospital” comic! it’s honestly so cute and makes me smile so hard even after rereading recent chapters, so it inspired me to draw this.

so basically go read @defect1filewav ‘s comic, it cures all manga pain. (sorry for tagging them twice, just wanna make sure there’s credit where credit is due😭)

!!!MANGA SPOILERS!!!

I feel really bad for Aizawa here.

Like, when I was initially reading the chapter, I was annoyed with how seemingly apathetic he is towards knowing Midnight's death. Like, Midnight was the one who made them teachers in the first place, and she helped them find themselves after Shirakumo's death. She was the glue holding the trio together, and yet even though he knows she's dead, Aizawa refused to even talk about her.

It made me mad, but then I realized just who Aizawa is.

He's a man who cloaks himself and his decisions in cold, hard logic. He knows from first hand experience that heroics is a cruel career path ill-suited for the faint of heart. He lost his best friend, and yet despite knowing that others and himself could die, he continues moving forward. This is why he's not eager to make connections in herowork, which is best represented in his relationship with Ms. Joke.

Basically, Aizawa desensitized himself in order to protect himself and his emotions. His main priority as a teacher is to defend his students, which is why he only wants to know their condition.

I can tell this conversation is far from over, though. Unlike Aizawa, Yamada clearly wants to talk. Needs to talk. Another member of the Rooftop Gang is gone; their friend group has officially been cleaved in half. That's not something one can simply brush under the rug.

One way or another, they're going to come back to this moment, and hopefully soon, since Shirakumo shows promise in returning.

Spoiler Alert for chapter 298.

Ok, well no one else has been confirmed dead in this chapter, so I’m hoping no news is good news.

Bakugo and Gran Torino have somehow survived having their insides wrecked, though Bakugo seems determined to kill himself in order to check on Deku.

We’ve got more Present Mic with hair down, though I wished it was under better circumstances. And I’m afraid he’s already broken the news of Midnight’s death to Aizawa, was really hoping we’d get to see that moment. But I’m sure they’ll be fanfics aplenty soon enough. Maybe I’ll write something too, though I’ve got several for another fandom I need to get done first. And I’m also hoping all this recent Mic and Aizawa content is a sign of things to come, I enjoy their friendship so much, and there’s so much more that can be explored. Especially regarding Shirakumo. They got through to him with just a pair of goggles before, perhaps they’ll be able to wake him up properly if they tell him about Midnight.

Also looks like we’re shaping up for another Shoto vs Dabi fight, though Shoto’s going to have to find some way of overcoming Dabi’s overwhelming fire power.

And I believe that’s Rei’s silhouette coming through the door after Fuyumi and Natsu; I’ve no idea how this incident is going to affect her, but if she’s able to come and visit, hopefully that means she’s not going to have another breakdown.

God, these poor kids... they should never have to deal with this. Students shouldn’t have to receive such terrible injuries, or find their own teachers dead body. Just look at Momo, she is so tired...

Midoryia of course hasn’t woken up yet. Perhaps he’s in the dream world? Also no word yet on Denki and Tamaki, nor Hawks, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to learn their fate. The future chapters are going to be difficult for heroes, this chapter mentioned that there are villains roaming around everywhere, plus AFO attacked several other prisons, releasing more dangerous people. I just hope we get some good news soon 😭

Edit: I just realised, where is Inko?? Where is Inko?? She’s not with Deku. Of course she may have had to go home, but it’s making me wonder.... she’d better be alright.

I have henceforth decided to disown Kirishima Eijirou and Ashido Mina due to the events of manga chapter 298. They are hereby banned from the Bakusquad and all Bakusquad-related activities. The newly available slots will be filled by Hagakure Toru and Satou Rikidou in light of their (albeit recently discovered) inherent superiority. 

Additional changes are as follows: 

Sero Hanta has been promoted to the position of Bestie. 

Mineta Minoru has been promoted from Scum of the Earth to Scum of the Eastern Hemisphere. 

Kirishima Eijirou has been demoted to Extra. 

Ashido Mina has been demoted to Extra. 

Kaminari Denki requires further investigation and will be permitted to keep his position as Best Bro at the present time.

Mmmm with the prison break chapters and everyone going on a rampage, do you think there would be a guard who was at least good to AFO (could be anyone else if you want), so when AFO finds them he decides to pay them back for their kindness.

(I’m just going to use the reader as the prison guard) I can imagine he would pay them back for their kindness. Considering how some villains are attacking some guards during the prison break he’d warn all of them to not hurt you or make you walk beside him so no one lays a finger on you. I mean who would step up to AFO besides All Might? Since shigaraki still isn’t fully control of himself he makes him take you to the hideout where the rest of the villains are and warns them too not to hurt you. Since you showed him kindness during his imprisonment I think he would want you to stay with him or at least send you somewhere safe where authorities won’t find you.
