sungho; he would be speechless. like he would literally go mute and just stare at the other member while his eyebrows slowly frowned. "what did you just said?" he couldn't believe his words, how could jaehyun be confessing him that he liked you too when sungho specifically said he was trying to date you and were going on a date with you tonight? completely senseless. so he would just deny with his head and go to his room, saying a soft "i got here first, bro" before closing his door. ain't no way he was gonna let you go.

riwoo; i feel like riwoo would be mad but he wouldn't show it, like he would just sit there and listen to leehan yap about how much he also liked you even after riwoo just said he just confessed to you. the boys were so busy with the schedules, the whole comeback thing and the promotions in Japan so it all just turned against riwoo's patience when he interrupted leehan with a low "and what am I supposed to do about it?" his voice was raspy, kinda tired and leehan just shrugged "i'm not mad at you but what do you expect me to say about this? that i'll back up?" and so the conversation ended when he stood up and went to sleep because it was pointless, too late for leehan.

jaehyun; now, i feel like he would feel so sad :(( because he didn't want to leave you (not like he could easily be with you tho) but he also didn't want to make woonhak feel bad about his feelings. he knows how the younger can get when he's hurt and it made his chest ache. but... what could he do? he liked you, you liked him and even his manager was okay with you two getting to know each other, everyone knew that... "woonhak, i'm sorry, i'm so sorry... if this would've just happened differently..." and you can know they both cried that night over things they couldn't handle. and tbh i feel like myungjae would cut things with you because he would keep feeling guilty about being happy with you when woonhak had a broken heart. there were more fish in the sea, right?

taesan; he has songs about you, he goes to sleep late because he's talking to you with a dreamy smile on his face, so imagine the surprise on his eyes when sungho told him he had a crush on you. sungho was quick to explain that he was not expecting anything to happen with you because he knows that you guys have something going on but the simple fact that he told taesan about it made the younger male think his words were not completely true. "why are you telling me this?" sungho would just say he thought he needed to be honest. "sure, thanks. goodnight" he was not mad, just surprised because he didn't expect another member to like you, and definitely did not expect them to tell him.

leehan; he is laughing. like laughing out loud and taesan would even get offended. "what's so funny about it?" and leehan would have to collect himself before saying "that you think you have a chance against me" oh, well. taesan would be doomed if he decided to go into an argument with the younger male right now cause leehan was not giving you up, not even in a million years. and he was not mad, he was not worried, he just found it amusing because he knew he got you and that was enough for him. "don't get me wrong, taesan-ah, you're cute but she's mine already" and that was it. they called it a day because they had no spare time to be wasting it like this.

woonhak; he's mad. but mad as in yelling mad. "what is this, hyung? why would you say that? you know i like her, right? then why? do you want me to leave her or something?" he would be talking so fast and getting so overwhelmed that riwoo really regretted telling him about his little crush on you. riwoo believed in honesty through all and he was honestly feeling kinda bad each time woonhak was with you and he just kept staring so he had to get it off his chest, he wasn't even looking forward to date you but woonhak thought he did and yeah. you can have for sure they ain't talking for about three days until woonhak's head turns cold and he goes back to his hyung to apologize and acknowledge his feelings with a soft "i'm still first, tho, you can look for someone else" he was just so in love :(

Regarding the mainline, apprently Jeff Loed and Jim Lee are the next creative team for Batman, and JMS is rumored to be the next ASM writers after Kelly is done with Doom storyline. Can it be a response to USM and Absolute being that huge?

Getting Loeb back for Batman isn't too surprising. He's presumably being brought on board to boost sales again with Hush 2 and clear out the detritus from 5G to get Batman "back to basics". Alfred might come back, Bruce will return to the manor and the Batcave there, Gordon will be commissioner again, the whole works. It wouldn't be a response to Absolute, this has to have been in the works for a while. Instead it's probably a result of Batman slipping in sales, he used to be consistently #1 in the monthly charts but not recently. DC wants their cash cow back in a secure place.

JMS returning to ASM is new, hadn't heard that. I guess it could be a response, but if so I don't think it's the safe bet that Loeb returning to Batman will be. I greatly enjoyed his era but he angered the diehards long before OMD and Sins Past with stuff like linking Peter's origin to magic. His Cap run has gotten zero attention despite Spidey showing up there too. I don't think JMS returning to ASM would be the rebound that editorial might be hoping for, especially since I don't see the BND status quo changing even were JMS to return.

speaking of that defunctland video tho OH MY GOD ive never felt so autistic in my life until i watched that video holy shit

since the video is . literally focused on bumpers and tv stuff it reminded me of how much i used to be so obsessed with channel bumpers, idents, logos, commercials, etc. theres just SOMETHING about them that makes me soooo happy

i remember when i was A LITTLE MAN at about like. i dont even know how many years old anymore but i was very young i would watch disney channel & nickelodeon bumper compilations that showed just a BUNCH of bumpers from the late 90s - early 2000s cuz those were my favorite AND I WOULD JUST BE SITTING THERE ABSORBING IT ALL cuz i liked watching it

I EVEN ENJOYED SEEING THE MORE "SCARY LOGOS" TOO (ex: viacom's "v of doom", screen gems, BND, klasky csupo, and GAWD THERES SO MANY) just cuz the concept of them was so. mysterious yet fascinating to me
