I feel Carla Gugino is so underrated in THOBM. Just look at her expressions in these. Her eyes speak so much louder than the dialogues can ever can. And there is no one that could do justice to older Jamie's character. The pain, the longing for Dani is so evident in her eyes. I didn't have the heart to watch the last episode again but yesterday I did and when I saw the part where she is comforting Flora when she is worried about living without her love by her side, the advise she gives is exactly what she did after losing Dani. She did exactly those things when she spent those 13 years with Dani. She didn't let their fear of the future affect their present. They lived and they loved and made the most of those 13 years. And to think she had to relive everything over again just breaks my heart. I think she decided to finally tell Dani's story after all those years was because she knew that children forgetting her was not fair. I know they didn't choose to forget her but Dani sacrificed her life without knowing what it would cost in that moment. She didn't get to grow old with the love of her life. And that was injustice enough to her memories and Jamie wanted Dani to be heard, to be known and to be remembered.

When asked by one of the fans during 1 on 1 in cosy con, she said that the toughest scene to shoot was the lake scene at the end. She was so exhausted since she was tied up with hooks and gears which made it strenuous for her to swim back to the shore. But she moved past the exhaustion and did the scene anyway knowing that is exactly how Jamie would feel. To know that her anguish in this scene is more than just her acting gives me immense sadness and utmost respect for her.

I don't think anyone can argue about the fact that Amelia Eve is one the most outstanding human on this planet.

Thinking about the last episode and wondering what is going on in Jamie's mind in this scene. I want to believe that she is thinking of Hannah while sweeping unable to believe that there would come a day when she won't be around anymore. Thinking back to the conversation they had when Hannah says that she finds her hand reaching over for the mop when Jamie comes in with her muddy shoes. Wishing for the opportunity to be able to spend a little more time with her, to stay back for one more night so they could have another bonfire. Thank her for giving an invisible push, a much needed support which encouraged her to not give up on Dani and more importantly telling Hannah to not wait another second and confess her love for Owen and to go to Paris with him. And to tell her that what they all had for each other was love, respect, a bond far stronger than blood and that the rest... was just confetti.

So Jamie went from someone who thought dying was better than having to live losing oneself to holding onto Dani for her dear life and wishing they had more years together and not letting her go even when Dani started fading. And Dani knowing it'd be easier to let Jamie go while she still has a little part of herself left that would love Jamie before Viola takes her entirely for her to not remember Jamie at all. Does there exist a sacrifice bigger than this?? These two women lived for each other. So now that we know what the letter said we can cry our lungs out knowing that Dani loved Jamie with her entire being right until the end and whatever part of her that existed right until the moment she went into that lake.. it belonged to Jamie.

This is one of the sweetest and the purest moments they shared. ♥️♥️ Kudos to Amelia and Victoria for making every single moment Jamie and Dani had look so seamlessly natural. This scene was so effortlessly done. How casually Dani cuddled Jamie and tucked in her legs. I love the fact that they portrayed Jamie as warm even when she had a rough past. I am seriously never ever getting over them 🥺
