We’ve entered the air conditioning and heat pump market. The tools weren’t cheap! Our first service was pretty rough. The system hadn’t been serviced in a long time or installed right to begin with. We still have some issues to address but figured we should limit the repairs to a few at a time for such an old AC. We’re all about high effiency but that’s not everything in home performance. Having durability and proper operation of an hvac system is important even if it’s an older low effiency unit. In this case we did a really good cleaning, fixed a non-draining issue that dates back to when the system was first installed, then we commissioned the system using advanced tools. We couldn’t dial it in perfectly due to undersized ductwork and mechanical damage of the outdoor condenser. I’d say we did pretty swell considering all that. The most important thing is the system will now properly dehumidify the home instead of creating an indoor air quality hazard. This particular home has been difficult but the homeowners have been gracious considering the condition of the mechanicals. We’ll be looking forward to being their favorite hvac contractor and fixing the other issues with the system if it lasts until next season..but if not we’ll offer a much better performing system as a replacement. #hvac #hvacschool #measurequick #trutechtools #testosmartprobes #navaccordless #trublu #bluvac #accutools (at Scotia, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzOhLVXgk0p/?igshid=ce6ot9sb6g5u

Testo 557 vacuum gauge
Just did a check of a BluVac and Testo 557 teed into recovery tank and pulled vacuum. Ill try to post pics, but not much to see, the 557 was no more than 6 microns off. In the 100 micron range it was less than 2 microns off. So it looks as if Testo is doing it right now. Sent from my SM-T713 using Tapatalk

Tool Cases
I've been using these for a little while now. I keep anything that's delicate or testing/measuring tools in them. Also when I buy a tool that doesn't come with a case, even if it's not delicate I put it in one of these boxes. Beats throwing my tools in a drawer for them to rattle around in the back of the truck. I use the ammo box for my expanding hose and another one for my data vac. I have several pistol cases. One for my vacuum tree/BluVac/VCRT's, stubby gauges, Magnahelic/gas pressure test rig, water pressure test rig, air/submersible/surface temp probes. They're cheap and durable. I recommend taking the sticker off the side showing a gun inside the case. I had a customer get pretty upset with me one time because he thought I brought a gun into his restaurant. I opened it up to reveal!.... stubby gauges. Lol

What device to buy for all this wireless stuff...
I have had a few issues with some existing devices/apps and some newly purchased. With that in mind, what would be a device, or specs to look for, to buy that would allow the use of all this technology? My current issues are as follows, to help understand: I have had the iConnect since early on and never had an issue(knock on wood) with any device/app use(the app itself is another story). I buy the BluVac+Pro and that device will not recognize it. Now the sole purpose for going +Pro is useless, on that device. ( I did get a phone call, on Saturday, from Jim B. and we determined it was my device that is the issue. Thanks!!) Secondly, I have had the ABM-200 working without issue on multiple devices. Now CPS takes over and it only works on one device. App developer issue, maybe. But are they going to do anything for one person. (I will say I was put in contact with someone who genuinely tried and listened, but could not make it work.) Granted, there may be some issues on my end. But who do you consult? Maybe I am asking for too much. Mfrs want their own platform and interaction is frowned upon, MQ seems to be working on that. There are apps out there that can combine multiple inputs and they can be updated to accept new things, but there does not seem to be hardware that can do this. Am I wrong? Why couldn't there be a device that does the same for Bluetooth signals? Or is there a device. Or am I making no sense and just rambling?

Uniweld USMAN5 Digital Gauges any REVIEWS?
DO NOT WANT ANY BASHING, SHOULD OF, COULD OF, OR I WOULD OF Simply put the facility I started working for is putting a serious effort into upgrading certain tools of the trade for me. I gave them a very long list of exactly what "I Suggest" are the tools of the trade to get out of the 1980's. Not that I mind analog gauges and hand-me-down stuff. I thoroughly love the old school 120v powered refrigerant leak detectors and vacuum gauge. Can't believe their sensitivity and accuracy after so many years. It has been kind of nice to dust of my P/T charts and use a calculator. The company was pretty proud that they committed to a number of tools for me and they did a pretty fine job of following my list, however, they are limited to certain established suppliers, just what it is in the corporate world. So special on-line orders form places like Trutech Tools and getting BluVac and other tools not yet carried by the places like RSD, Grainger, Johnstone, etc. is not happening. I noticed on the list of items coming in that they ordered the Uniweld USMAN5 digital gauges and a set of FieldPiece SMANs. Never heard of the USMAN5?? I searched the internet, youtube, and the forum here for any feedback on these Uniweld USMAN5 gauges and really can't find anything useful. I read the manuals on Uniweld site. I realize the main downside to these gauges is that you must use a cell app to read live SH and SC and get Temps from the attached probes. Not a major deal I guess in the real world, but being that I am not allowed a cellphone or pad of any kind in 90% of the facility is an issue. I do have a facility issued laptop for troubleshooting but, apps obviously are useless on these. So does anyone own one, are they reliable, are they leakers, are they garbage, are they the next best thing, splashproof, robust, etc etc.....let me know. AGAIN, IF YOU DO NOT OWN ONE OR HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH ONE, PLEASE MOVE ON TO ANOTHER THREAD!!

BluVac+ Professional
All, The BluVac+ Professional Application is finally available in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. You will find it under "BluVac". It is a free download and loaded with some really cool reporting features and a leak indicator. We really made this what I believe is the best evacuation application available. Hope yu will find the same. http://ift.tt/2r5Dzwv Thanks Jim Bergmann

First experience with Bluvac and very unimpressed
Currently been using a appion av760 gauge ive had about a year, ive never been confident in the tool due to the extremely long time it takes to react once pulled off of the system (20 min to rise back to 760,000). Having issues pulling this 20ton unit down due to a pump shooting craps and my trust issues in my appion so i went a bought a brand new yellow jacket branded bluvac. Take it out the package finger tighten the gauge and right on to the system. I notice my vacuum reading get worse andconly pulls 2600 microns or so. At this point im frustrated and customer is frustrated due to this vacuum taking two days now. After breaking vacuum with nitrogen and leak checking unit once again i finally recheck connections and find the bluvac is loose at male fitting that goes into the bluvac gauge. Push on gauge left or right and reading jump all over. Bad gauge right out of the box. Bluvac says its bad and send in for repair. So how am i going to trust a new one isnt going to fail soon after as this did? Now i have to ship this in and deal with a unhappy customer on supposedly the "best" gauge out there. Very dissatisfied with this tool so far!!
