*hugs* It's ok, darling! My colleague & I were feeling weird abt the newbies being v at ease bc we took a long time to b 'friends' w/ the team. It's just not the way we work. In the end we get along w/ everyone and it's going great. PS I MISS U 2

also abt getting 'more socialized' if you want to work on it (IF) I think it's easier not to start with spontaneous stuff, but attend planed dinners or parties or whatever bc you can prepare yourself, get more rest beforehand. That's what I try to do

it's going to be alright okay, it's alright not to have the energy to socialize all the time. Also, rugby is amazing and i love it. Maybe you could force yourself, from time to time, to stay and socialize - even when you don't want to.Not always

THANK YOU darlings! I read your messages and it made me feel better! I thought that it was definitely what I should do, you know, force myself a bit and be more sociable on less spontaneous things because when it's all planned out, it's easier for me.

And I actually did it right on the spot... well, right on the spot means for 10 minutes I thought : heyy, I could pretend to refill my glass downstairs and ask how the match is going. Which is exactly what I did except my glass was full so I had to drink it in a second, then go downstairs, fill it and play my little rehearsed  scene.

The problem now is all the mixes I've made. Cause I went downstairs to fill my glass with apple juice water and sipped it while talking. Then I was offered a beer, which I accepted (and ended up drinking sitting on the small couch with the two guys). And later, to have a reason to be downstairs when the guests were gone, I pretended to want some milk. Which I drunk. Sooo apple juice water - beer - milk - toothpaste. Yep, my bladder is full and my stomach is not sure if he's alright. 

But that was fun, and I realized they weren't all having such a fun evening since the 2 colleagues were a couple and the woman didn't really seem to enjoy watching the game.

Anyway, I'll keep this evening in mind to be more sociable at times.

Won't interest you unless you know me or you're from my team

So basically my birthday was on Thursday and we celebrated it on Friday night with the part of the team who live around. We had a crepe party (sorry Tony you had to get stuck in the kitchen >.<) and then later a brilliant Level 7 yogurt chocolate cake and a musical candle who had abandonment issues because it refused to play unless you were holding it. Oh and we got Bruce on Skype for a bit but without the sound, which was sad.

And then the gifts! Bucky was in charge of my birthday! I got Stephen Fry's two autobiographies that I've wanted to read for some times, a pretty & clever bow tie necklace made out of a record and a Tardis Book just like River Song's with messages between the pages as you can see in the pic.

The gifts were really great even if I might not have shown it. That's a thing I've got with being offered things (and compliments sometimes). I never quite know what to say or how to react. But it made me really happy!

And beware this is when it gets cheesy.

I'm really glad I met you all cause you've all made my life in general and my time in this city (away from my family for the first time) a really great adventure. I met Cap, Thor, Bruce, Tony and Hill for the first time 2 years ago at a Frenchlockian meetup in Paris but I would never have imagined all of this. Back then I did something which was completely out of character for me : out of the blue I contacted Cap and decided to go to the meet up even though I knew no one there. I decided to spend the 3-4 hour road trip in a car with 3 people I didn't know at all (such a source of anxiety for me). I met Bucky a few month later for a Sherlock marathon and Loki when we went to the Utopiales. But it all started with that meet up that I'll never regret. And I absolutely can't imagine what my life would be like if I hadn't, especially how I would have handled this last year with everything that happened if I hadn't had the most brilliant friends to see on the week ends, to go on road trips to the zoo, to the Utopiales to meet Neil Gaiman, to have HBO war show marathon and countless evenings in the same room but all on Tumblr and to have stupid and crazy conversation in our dropbox, askbox, by texts, etc.

So yeah, this is me being grateful and saying thank you for everything. So that last pic is for you all.

I often do too to see if I'm liking the book and to buy them in paper. (Paperrrr, my preciouuus). And if I don't fall in love with the book the not-really-legal-version-hem is all I keep. But when it's an author I like, I feel guilty to do that.

So that's why I wanted to buy it. But come on, the publishing companies are crooks there. I was looking at The Ocean at the End of the Lane that I already have in paper to compare, the eBook version is something like 3 euro and the paper version around 13. Here it's an affair if you don't care about the paper version. But a 1 euro difference is a joke and that makes me angry. è_é
