Scientific blog post

Today we will be presenting an experiment that we have done to see what item picks up the most dirt. We wanted to do this because we thought it was interesting on how different items are stickier than others. We also did this because we thought it would be a fun project to test sticky stuff with dirt. Our hypothesis was the slime would pick up the most dirt out of all the substances because the slime is sticky and sticky things usually pick up more things. This experiment is testing which item picks up to the most dirt and if sticky things like slime pick up a lot of dirt in everyday life we thought it will pick up the most dirt in this experiment .

The 1st step was pouring the dirt up to the 2nd line also the line used for wine. The 2nd thing we did was make the slime using clear washable elmers glue and eye contact solution (it took us many tries to make the slime because we are not professional slime makers). The way we made slime was ½  bottle of glue and ⅛ of a bottle of contact solution. The 3rd step was dipping the stickers in a cup full of dirt. The stickers picked up a lot of dirt. The 4th step was taking the gloves out and putting them in the slime. As we expected the glove did not pick up anything at all The 5th thing we did was use the blue stick and it picked up more than the sticker but it only picked up a little bit more. The 6th step was using the sticky hand and putting it in the dirt, it picked up more than the bluestick. The 7th step was the slime and it picked up around the same amount of dirt as the sticky hand. The 8th thing we did was do the tape and it picked up more than all of them. This shows that the tape picked up the most and how the tape is the stickiest substance we have. The next thing we did was compared the items and the 3 most stickiest substances we had was tape slime and a sticky hand. We also compared all the items that were dipped into the full cup of dirt to clean versions of the item.

In conclusion, this shows that our hypothesis that the slime would pick up the most dirt was proven wrong because the tape picked up the most.

If you ever want to test this out all you have to do is follow the procedure and you should come to the same conclusion as us.
