Are you feeling low today? So many people are this week... I hope these glorious blooms lift you a little bit 💗 Today I'm having coffee with a work friend. ⁠⠀ Virtually of course but I'm really excited!⁠⠀ ⁠☕️⠀ It's been a good morning so far, I've worked out, had a good breakfast & it's raining. I'm ok with it. Today is #bluemonday Apparently the most depressing day of the year...well to that I say rubbish. I plan to make this the best Monday of the year, I plan to do a workout this evening and maybe treat myself to a pain au chocolat. One of the ways I differentiate myself as a wedding photographer in the UK is that I use a hybrid of digital and classic medium format film photography, playing to the strengths of each.⠀ The wonderful thing about shooting film is that it is incredibly flattering to skin tone and creates an ethereal and elegant finish. Film photography slows down the shooting process slightly, so that each shot is created and curated thoughtfully and purposefully. Unlike digital, where it is all too easy to rattle off a few thousand shots without thinking, the film photographer lives to master the art of each frame. ⠀ I shoot film because I believe in quality over quantity. Sisterhood. ⠀ ⠀ Some of the greatest moments of my life have been experienced surrounded by my sisters. ⠀ Actual sister & sisters who I have adopted into my life from various points in my life. ⠀ When I witness my clients with their sisters, those girlfriends who have been with them through thick and thin, it moves me. ⠀ To tears if I let myself think about it too much.
