Re: SNU specifically. It's a pain to get the arms looking correct, because a lot of old school AF meshes will have 6-vertex loops on the arms and SNU has 8-vertex loops, so things don't always align perfectly. Even the OMIP actions (the ones with better-shaped calves and cut abs) don't always work as expected because there's such a huge size difference and more often than not you end up cutting and pasting the arms from another mesh instead. Don't get discouraged; your mesh is looking really nice so far.

Thank you for the advice ^^ I already figured using wsos to convert such a size difference wasn't going to turn out the best, but damn, wasn't expecting this much trouble.

This is the uv difference that's making the arm stitching such a stinker for me (left - top, right - afnaked). I think I could take it into blender and seperate the top from the arms and merge the top with the lace, then cut the upperbody from snu and fit the top to that... I'll try that tomorrow. Though it's gonna loose the painted shadows and will be floating from the body somewhat.

Cabin-in-a-Bag Tent from Outdoor Retreat | 4t2 conversion I've wanted this tent for so long! but I think no one converted it so far? So I did it, with a bit of help from @littlelittlesimmies who kindly extracted the resources for me It ended up being a mini-set of 3 objects:

This is definitely one of the most complex projects I've worked on so far, and not having to create the mesh and textures from scratch I could focus on other more advanced aspects of object editing. I learned a lot of new SimPE skills in the process!

Thanks in particular to @crispsandkerosene and @blueheavensims for the tutorial on editing object footprint. I also figured out how to properly change motive settings thanks to this explanation by rebecah. I was actually shocked to discover that editing catalog ratings does not have any effect on gameplay... I somehow never checked in game before :')

A big set of full-body underwear, sleepwear and swimwear for Athletic Girl TF, AF & EF. The Athletic Girl body shape was created by Marvine and improved on by @blueheavensims over there - all the outfits from this set are on meshes based on theirs, with fat and preg morphs.

None of the textures are my original work. Details, previews and texture credits under the cut.

The meshes

All the adult and elder outfits are on one mesh, all the teen outfits are on another. The two meshes are available in two versions (choose one): • the "HD" mesh is my edit of @blueheavensims's full body nude mesh from here - it has sexyfeet & smooth hands - 6,344 poly • the "low poly" mesh is my edit and TF conversion of Marvine's mesh from here - it has blockfeet & Maxis hands - 1,962 poly

WIP: EP11 Kitbash Series

My game is in need of a funkier, more futuristic skyline. I’ll be releasing a series of items designed for recreating neighborhood deco from Sims 3: Into the Future (EA/Maxis, 2013) (and other EPs) as functional lots. This is a really fun project I came to realize was possible after seeing @somedaythesun’s awesome 3t2 building sets.

Kitbashing is combining items from multiple sources to create something “new,” and usually involves using objects in ways they weren’t originally intended.

The practice is similar to remixing images into a mosaic. Buggybooz's famous Nooks & Niches sets (2012) may fall in this category, especially when looking at the creative ways @riekus13 uses them here. Objects from the “Midnight At…” series at Blue Heaven Sims could be used this way too.

Among other things, my set(s) will mainly include lot shells – big, single-tile “pillars” you’ll be able to plop on lots. Then, build above, below, in, and around them to create useable structures. Shell challenge anyone?

Shell objects are ideal for builders for several reasons: less reliance on cheats to achieve the look you want, minimizes the risk of hitting wall/object limits, more options re: uniquely shaped buildings, cuts down on the in-game price of lots, etc.

I'm hoping this will make building a bit easier and more straight forward for those who typically don't enjoy it, and for others who want fuller modern/sci-fi hood maps.

Playing with texture/color options…a lot of the items are ideal for 3x3 (30x30 tiles) or bigger.

They’re biiiiiiig and hood visible…but still, only 1-tile for easier placement when building and better routing during gameplay.

I need to make some more adjustments so the objects align with walls and reposit items to my Repository Pack – to maximize color/texture/glass options - but these are almost ready to publish!

Yuxi's "Cole's Corner" Outfit in 3 Male Bodyshapes

I've converted this outfit for the following three shapes: Lean Bodybuilder, Lifa's edit of Zenman's Fit male, and Lifa's male. Pictured left to right. No other bodybuilder sizes because I don't like the necks on those and would never use them.

This is my first mesh related upload ever, so please let me know if there are any issues! Packages are standalone and for AM only. In the future I want to repository my clothing and convert it to other ages, but this is it for now. Enabled for everyday and outerwear, fat and preg morphs, normal shoe sounds. I don't think I'm forgetting anything?

Oh, the Lean Bodybuilder shape also comes with a (legacy) BSOK version in the .zip.

primarily, the old west was during victorian/edwardian times. so any cc within those periods is pretty much perfect. @simbury does AMAZING stuff for this period. example, qaletaqa's outfit:

also, @oldtimeyskellington has some really good historical stuff that's sorted tag-wise. deffo give those a gander.

for sims with different body types, @letomills does some really good conversions. they added a bunch of morphs to ayizan's dress! you have no idea how thankful i was for that. for koatohee, they use the slim bodybuilder mesh. now there isn't too many historical items for that mesh yet but blueheavensims has been a lifesaver. also @theacmecatalogblog has some amazing sets for a variety of body types.

cowboy hats are here, but aren't sorted to not show up when a sim is nakey. it's a pretty easy fix in simpe, however... i just haven't gotten around to that yet.

the buckskin garments i'd gotten for alicia was from here whereas tski's was from here

for longer hairs, i perused this database. nightcrawler and leahlilith conversion have long hairs for both sexes, so they're a good shout.

build/buy

this page was really handy to get started. of course, any victorian cc I could find, i grabbed. as always, look through the plumb bob keeps. yea, even though it's primarily for medieval players. you can find some pretty good stuff for various periods.

dicreasy has great stuff for a more victorian-based game, which is the period I'm going for.

in general, i love anything from @yolartut for adding lots of detail.

to be honest, i can't think of anything else right now. but if u want a specific piece of cc, shoot me a wcif! hope this helped!!!

I've said this before and people got mad at me but like... I don't disagree with anything you're saying honestly. Like, OBVIOUSLY a full grown adult shouldn't be fucking a child. That's FUCKED UP.

But I mean, clearly the people who said that didn't think so? I mean, isn't that sort of the problem with this sort of thinking? Everyone thinks that THEIR extremely specific idea of what is and is not reasonable to assume is the right one.

I mean, take furries for instance. Doesn't anyone find it weird that we don't target furries that way? I mean, you may argue that "Well, anthro animals DON'T exist so we're not worried about protecting them" But we've seen SEVERAL groups of furries that have actually ended up being active zoophiles but not many groups of fanfic writers who were actually pedophiles working as some sort of cabal.

Like, I'm not trying to throw furries under the bus. But why do we all assume that we understand that it's harmless as they understand the difference between fiction and reality?

I'm not arguing that it's RIGHT or WRONG, I'm arguing that there seems to be no cohesion in what most of the 'progressive sphere' regards as being kosher.

Why is it that we assume someone writing that sort of fiction is some sort of deviant and not just someone who want to see the actors portraying those characters together and yet assume differently for any other kink?

I think there is an ulterior motive to cause bouts of accusations and recrimination in queer spaces and that young queer people were wrong made to believe that this would benefit them, when really this rhetoric just feeds alt-right orgs like Gays Against Groomers.

They know what they're doing. And many progressives in our spaces don't want to hear it because accusations have become a good way to get rid of those you don't like with flimsy evidence and even flimsier arguments. Once someone asked me to help them get rid of @blueheavensims because he was making poseboxes that were 'kind of rapey' and when I was like "'would you be willing to help me contact that advertisers for hunter420x's website, who has actual animations of children being molested" she was like "no, sorry".

and while I'm not naming names, this is someone that many of you know and respect as a simmer with 'good values'.

This isn't about what you should and shouldn't be allowed to write because honestly that was never the issue. It was about giving young progressives the rhetorical tools to destroy themselves for petty interpersonal drama while the right reaps the reward of figuring out how to get queers to accuse THEMSELVES of being pedophiles by co-opting progressive language.

Everytime I see a 20 year old with a 'dni proship' i assume its someone who would spit on an actual SA victim before helping them. You just pretend to care about this shit because it makes you feel like a better person when you're trying to ruin someone's life.

TL;DR: Write whatever the fuck you want. The people who will get mad at you generally care less about you doing it than how it looks. They'll tear down the person who said something they don't like over the actual powerful pederast every time. It's all performative bullshit.

D’aw, thank you! ^^ To be honest, I get my medieval clothes from all over the place, so I couldn’t link all of them without turning it into a full-on resource page. If you browse my ‘WCIF clothes’ tag, most of the recent asks pertain to clothes seen on my BaCC sims (a.k.a medieval/fantasy clothes), so that should give you a good start!

Like most medieval/fantasy simmers, I get almost all of my stuff from The PlumbBob Keep and affiliated sites. Have you seen the gorgeous add-ons of Lama’s meadhall set by Blueheavensims?

I had not! They’re perfect for my taverns and I’m sure I will find plenty of other uses for them as well. I’ve recoloured them in Shasta’s pirate wood colours on Sunni’s cottage wood texture. You’ll need to get the mesh files over at Blueheavensims, there are several different sets and hundreds of new items!
