A middle-aged husband (Steve Carell)'s life changes dramatically when his wife (Julianne Moore) asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a newfound friend, Jacob (Ryan Gosling), learning to pick up women at bars.

IMDB: While rehearsing for the scene where Ryan Gosling lifted Emma Stone in the air "Dirty Dancing" style, Stone didn't realize she had a phobia of being lifted high up until the first time Gosling did it. She had a full meltdown, which Gosling described as "like a possum falling out of a tree and trying to scratch your eyes out." Afterwards she ran away crying and had to lie in bed watching Labyrinth to calm down. Her phobia came from when she was 7 years old and fell off the high bars in gymnastics and broke both her arms. They ended up using a body double for the lift, but they did use the recording of Stone's real screams.

Also, IMDB: Kevin Bacon and Ryan Gosling are distant cousins. They are both descendants of the English Baldwin family.

This is Katz!

Who is she: a pirate, a brave warrior, a nuisance. Depends on who you ask to! What everyone agrees on, however, is that Katz is one hell of a person

Her main goal throughout the story: participating in raids and assaults by sea and land with the Alliance of Rebels, in order to render Wassermund an independent place

Background: she lives in Hoefenstadt, Wassermund with her fathers (Martin and Adam). After they passed she joined the Alliance.

Age: 17yo

Gender: Katz does not know for sure. Her pronouns can vary, her self perception can vary too. She is amab, uses she/they pronouns (mainly she/her) but hates being called a girl, because she is not one.

Sexuality: Aro/ace

Alignment chart: chaotic neutral/chaotic good

Hobbies: she likes everything sea related. When she is not on Nathair-Mara, the Alliance's galley, she likes taking long walks around Hoefenstadt.

Skills: she knows CSL (Common Sign Language), she can repair almost anything on a ship, she is a great fighter.

Personality: she is witty and charismatic with er peers, but when she tries mixing with adults, she is rejected because seen as loud and annoying. She hasn't great emotional skills in regard to her own feelings, and she is impulsive, hot headed, stubborn, and prone to snapping. On the other hand, she is very empathetic, determined and loyal, great qualities that often aid her in her missions and raids.

Likes: walking, water, being at sea, a warm dish with meat and soup, alcoholic beverages, loud music and ballades, the cloak her fathers left her.

Dislikes: having to wait, having to be patient, not being able to speak her mind, being told she is a girl.

She wears often: a dark blue cloak, and a tunic which once was white. Her black boots buckled up to the knee are another constant. On board she sometimes wears an eyepatch. Not because she has problems with her sight, but because putting one one helps her getting used to the sudden light changes when on deck as opposed to inside the ship

Religious: she is not very religious, but she does believe that Ylan, the god of sea and travels will be on her side if she remembers him and offers him her work and passion.

Today in Great Lakes shipping history. June 5th.

1891: in heavy fog, the NORTHERN QUEEN (steel propeller freighter, 299 foot, 2,476 gross tons, built in 1889, at Cleveland, Ohio) struck the schooner FAYETTE BROWN (wooden schooner, 178 foot, 553 gross tons, built in 1868, at Cleveland, Ohio) about ten miles off Dummy Light on Lake Erie. The BROWN, which was loaded with stone blocks, quickly sank in over 60 feet of water. One of the schooner’s crewmen climbed aboard the QUEEN while the others barely had time to scramble up the schooner’s masts. Accounts of the accident differ. The schooner’s skipper claimed that the NORTHERN QUEEN continued on her journey while the schooner’s crew clung to the masts while the skipper of the NORTHERN QUEEN claimed that he tried to find survivors, but lost the wreck in the fog and reluctantly continued on his journey, figuring that there were no survivors. Nevertheless, about an hour after the disaster, the steamer ROBERT MILLS (wooden propeller freighter, 256 foot, 1,790 gross tons, built in 1888, at Buffalo, New York) came along, heard the cries of the unfortunate seamen clinging to the masts and rescued them. No lives were lost.

1947: the Canada Steamship Lines steamer EMPEROR, loaded with ore and bound for Ashtabula, hit the rocks off Isle Royale at 4:10 a.m. The vessel sank within minutes but the crew was able to launch 2 lifeboats. Captain Eldon Walkinshaw, First Mate D. Moray, and 10 other crew members drowned when one of the lifeboats overturned. Twenty-one other survivors were rescued by the U.S.C.G. cutter KIMBALL.

1961: Over the winter of 1960 – 1961, CHARLES M. SCHWAB was rebuilt by joining the forward end of the original SCHWAB with the after end of the former oil tanker GULFPORT. On this date in 1961 Captain Raphael “Dewey” Marsden conducted sea trials with the vessel on Lake Erie between Lorain and Cleveland.

1972: The PARKER EVANS was in collision with the upbound Erie Sand steamer SIDNEY E. SMITH JR just below the Blue Water Bridge, at Port Huron, Michigan. The SMITH sank in 20 minutes with no loss of life. The EVANS, with bow damage, proceeded to Port Weller Dry Docks for extensive repairs. As a result of this accident, on October 5, 1972, alternate one-way traffic between the Black River Buoy and Buoys One and Two in Lake Huron was agreed upon by the shipping companies. Also a call-in system was initiated to monitor traffic between the Detroit River Light and Buoys 7 and 8 in Lake Huron by the newly established Sarnia Traffic.

1979: while carrying corn on Lake Superior, CARTIERCLIFFE HALL (steel propeller bulk freighter, 730 foot, 18,531 gross tons, built in 1960, in Germany as a.) RUHR ORE) caught fire 10 miles north of Copper Harbor, Michigan. Her crew abandoned ship in two life rafts and one lifeboat. Six died in this tragedy while five were injured; four (including Captain Raymond Boudreault) were injured seriously enough to be flown to the University of Michigan Burn Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. U. S. Steel’s THOMAS W. LAMONT rescued 17 at 4:52 a.m. while CSL’s LOUIS R. DESMARAIS rescued two more. The CARTIERCLIFFE HALL was towed to Thunder Bay by the tug PENINSULA the following day.

Nfs most wanted gamecube

Never played it on the GC before yesterday and it seems fine to me. Probably played it on a PS2 a bit, but it's been awhile. I've mostly played this game on a PC back when.

Since dolphin makes the games look excellent at higher resolution I think you'd be better served hooking a PC to your TV to play GC games if you want them to look good on your HDTV. I use a CRT because all these games look like shit on my HDTV. We also have to look at the fact that the game only has 1.4gb of space, while the PS2, PC & Xbox 360 all had more space and better resolutions of the game.
