one time i saw a post that said that people treat trans folks the same way that they treat pluto. because pluto was never a planet, people just THOUGHT it was a planet, and when evidence was brought forth otherwise, everyone got outraged instead of accepting it as it was. people still refuse to acknowledge that pluto was never a planet, but something else instead, and that maybe it’s okay to not be a planet.

pluto is also one of my favorite mythological figures

he’s the roman counterpart to hades, except people view hades as mean and scary (being the god of the underworld), but pluto is generally seen in a more positive light because the romans didn’t fear death as much as the greeks did

pluto is also the god of wealth and riches, plus he has a hot wife

also, the idea of having a celestial/space related name is really appealing to me
