Adventures in Collaboration! I stumbled across an orderly line of blue rectangles outside an elementary school in my neighborhood, and with the assistance of two sisters waiting for their brother to finish soccer practice, we created an impressive parade of 15 dogs and one brave cat.

Most of the creative credit goes to Nora and Clare, because I only scribbled in the blobs for legs, tail and head. An excellent reward for carrying chalk and charcoal everywhere I go!

Blue is finally done!

She’s made of minky fabric with hand sewn spots and facial features and a hand embroidered paw. Her body is weighted with a bean bag and stuffed with polyfil.

I’m really happy with how she came out overall, though those spots took forever and I’m swearing off hand sewing that amount of detail forever 😅 machine sewing is fine.

I love her little tongue because the Blue’s Clues plushies I had as a kid had them too.
