had a stupid grin on my face for a solid 72 hours over oasis reunion fever. then saw the official logo and live ‘25 and ascended to another plane of reality. truly never thought about the title of this sideblog in terms of a reunion but i just looked up at it and it dawned on me.

yes today was a daydream. the whole last 4 days really.

im still in a daze trying to wrap my head around it being real. like i saw it coming everything was pointing to it. i could write a dissertation on how thematic analysis of the trajectory of noel’s 3 decades of songwriting alone showed it.

and yet my brain still is struggling to adjust to reality. so it’s defaulting to the lyrics stuck in my head:

I only have 21 Twitter followers so that's probably part of the problem. I post what I think are interesting takes via comments under other people's soccer Tweets and get the occasional like. Except that one time I posted a banal comment about not liking the ruling that Rashford wasn't offside in the Manchester derby and got like 1000 likes.

I little over a decade ago when NBC Sports started showing the Premier League in the US, I wanted to pick a team. But the EPL on NBC looked so good on TV, I wanted to follow a team. I didn't want to pick the English version of the Yankees or Cowboys, so the big teams were off the list. I felt pulled to Manchester because that felt comparable to where I grew up in Western PA/Northeast OH, but United was out due to the big club rule. Then I saw Noel Gallagher was a fan and I was more hooked. But I only watched them off and on for the next few years, going in and out of cord cutting. Like the complaints about Pep overthinking it by starting Ake over Walker, when it was obvious for City fans who have been paying attention. And the takes that Lautora Martinez obviously messed up by going for goal rather than squaring it for Lukaku, when it wasn't that obvious.

Chapter four

The inn was well-lit and had a cheery atmosphere, but something still felt off to Sora as she walked inside. They stepped around an orc sweeping the entryway and make their way over to the lady behind the counter. She had silver hair and a stern complexion, but she offered a weary smile when she spotted the group approaching the counter.

“Hello travelers! My name is Noel Silver. What can I get for you folks today?”

Sora smiled back. “Hello. My name is Sora, this is Einar, and Darla. We have recently arrived and were looking for a friend of ours. Human, brown hair, average height? Have you perchance seen him recently?”

Noel’s smile fell. “Yes, I have seen him. But if you want particulars, you should probably ask Gorg. He was the one who got into a fight with him,” she gritted out through pursed lips. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have things I need to finish before the night rush.” She turned her back on the group, skirts swishing.

Sora glanced at Einar and Darla, swallowing hard. “I suppose we should talk to the orc then.”

“Let me do the talking, Dragonborn. Orcs are slow of mind, but I grew up around several and learned how to best communicate with them.” Einar grunted and thumped his fist into his hand, grinning.

“No, look! Einar got Grog talking.” Darla pointed over to their friend, who true to his word, was carrying a conversation with the orc quite well.

“Gorg remember that man. Gorg fought him bravely and sent him running.” Here, the Orc thumped his own chest in pride. “Why you look for him?” He eyed Einar with an air of suspicion.

“He is a friend of ours, one we have been looking for most of the day.” Not entirely true, but entirely untrue either.

“Gorg will tell you about fight if you get me one of those or give me good fight.” The Orc’s black eyes gleamed in the dim light. Sora imagined that he was excited at the prospect of a fight with a dwarf. He was pointed to a gold flask on the hip of a Blue Oyster member who was sitting at a nearby table. His head was thrown back in laughter and as he clapped his fellow member on his back. He unhooked the flask from his hip and brought it to his lips. He took a deep swig from it and then returned it. Suddenly, Sora understood why the Orc wanted one – there was a special alcohol inside of the flask, presumably one that was reserved for the ranks of the Blue Oyster.

Einar turned to the rest of the group. “What do you think? Can we snag one?” He stroked his beard as he contemplated his options. “I could knock one of them out and take it, or Darla could poison one and we could flitch it from the body. OR, you could ask nicely, Dragonborn, for one.” He roared with laughter as he thought about that option.

Sora narrowed her eyes. “Just fight with him. That’s the easiest option and the least costly to our lives. I imagine we will not be of much help to anyone if we are locked in the jails of the Blue Oyster Corporation.” Darla hid behind Sora. “Just fight him, Einar. Gorg was stunned, but he was quickly gathering his limbs under him to stand again.

Sora grabbed her flute from her belt and sent a quick prayer to which ever god was listening for the inspiration to be quick and strong from this ditty. The tune was bright and airy, and even though Sora hit some of the notes wrong, it still seemed to do the trick. Einar brought his balled fists down over Gorg’s head, knowing the orc unconscious.

Noel came out from behind the bar with a bucket of water. She was still grumbling curses at the group under her breath as she heaved the bucket up and dumped the water over Gorg’s face. He sputtered awake, limbs flailing. Noel shoots Einar a dirty look and tells the group: “Get out of my tavern. Now.” She tosses the empty bucket into a corner and strides back behind the bar.

Darla squeaked out an apology and scurries forward. “Maybe we should hurry up and figure out what Gorg knows?” Einar helps the orc up and slaps him on the shoulder.

“That was a fine fight, my friend.”

“Gorg always fight good. Since Dwarf fight good too, Gorg share what he saw. Man earlier went back into town, finds place to hide on a ship. Gorg go back to sweeping now.”

With that, Gorg grabbed his broom from where it had fallen and started sweeping up all of the broken glass on the floor. Einar pulled away from the orc and motioned for the others to follow him outside. Once the others had joined him, Einar started talking. “It seems like our captain stowed away on a ship. Presumably a blue Oyster ship. It would be wise for us to find him and see if he has learned anything of importance.”

Sora nodded. Of course, there were other variables at steak here. The Blue Oyster Corporation seemed like a tightly-run organization, one that would not just let three strangers walk onto one of their ships. They would have to find a way to sneak one, which could prove to be difficult. Plus, there was no guarantee that the captain was actually on one of the ships in the harbor. They were taking the word of an orc who couldn’t even see the harbor from here. How he knew about the captain hiding on a ship was beyond her. “I say we go take a look. Even if it’s just to figure out if he’s there, it will still help our mission for the afternoon.” She looked down at the Tiefling, who had been very quiet since the start of the conversation. Darla was lost in thought, wringing her hands together. “What do you think, Darla? Any thoughts on what we should do?”

Darla sighed. “I agree with you both. It will be better if we continue our search. I merely wish to add that this endeavor will be highly risky and that at least one of us may end up injured.’ She paused and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “But I think it will be the best option. We will probably find something of use to the Golden Dawn.”

“Let’s do this thing!” Einar clapped his hands together in glee.

The trio headed down the street back in the direction they came from. Darla and Sora chatted as they walked, trying to keep the topics light. They noted the architecture of the houses, the flowers in the windowsill. But as they continued, the conversation shifted to the wilted flowers in the windowsill, the lack of people in the town, and the fact that they few people that they did see out on the street were wearing the blue uniforms of the Blue Oyster Corporation.

Einar was quiet for the walk, but his eyes roamed up and down the street, taking in as many details as Sora and Darla were talking about. He shh-ed them as they neared the harbor. Several ships were moored in the harbor - short sloops, tall galleons, and regal man-o-wars. Each dock was guarded by a pair of blue-clad men with swords strapped on their hips.

Darla’s eyes bugged. “There’s so many of them. So many places for the captain to hide,” she whispered, despair filling her voice.

“Don’t worry yet, there’s still time to find him. He has to be around here somewhere.” Sora tried her best to be comforting, but inside she felt the same way as Darla. It would be difficult to find the captain and their chances of being stopped increased with each ship they searched. If they even made it aboard the first one, that was.

While the other two head off in other directions to look, Sora stayed put and looked around her. She noticed that whenever people arrived at the docks, they headed inside a wooden building first. When they came back out, they were wearing the dusty blue uniforms. The ground was dry and dusty, but there were several muddy footprints, of the same size, leading away from the building. She followed the path with her gaze, noting that they continued down the docks and up the side of a galleon – the Aqua Lobster.

Sora jogged to find her friends, softly calling out their names in the hopes that they would hear. She found them hiding in a patch of bushes, Darla’s eyes closed and mouth moving in silent incantations. They’ve been on guard duty all day and I’m sure a pretty Tiefling would be a sight for sore eyes. We’re just lucky that this is a different ship and a different pair of guards from the first attempt.”

"Did you both plan something romantic for your partners? If it's gross, I don't wanna hear it. If it's family appropriate, I do wanna hear about it."

What movies would the RTC characters pick for movie night at their house?

ricky: star trek, interstellar, moonage daydream, everything everywhere all at once, cats (he has impeccable taste what can i say)

noel: the blue angel, chicargo, carol, moulin rouge, knives out, labyrinth (also great taste)

mischa: saw 5 (well, saw 6), wall-e, transformers, morbius, batman the dark knight (banging films)

ocean: mamma mia, mamma mia: here we go again, west side story, tick tick boom, pitch perfect, ect. (spectacular array of movie musicals)

constance: corpse bride, bridge to terabitha, dirty dancing, the breakfast club (a woman after my own heart <33)

penny/jane: big hero 6, coraline, alice in wonderland, night at the museum, star wars: rouge one (ricky watched all of star wars with her and she loved it!!!) (she is the slayest of them all)

I made this during Art Program yesterday, but I didn't upload it until later because I was just so hot and tired from the goddamn summer heat and just wanted to shower and sleep. Speaking of sleep, this drawing is inspired by my KH Universe's 7th and last arc(aka DDD from Neashi's POV).

Neashi and her Necho Cat(whom she names Jiji) find themselves in the World That Never Was, much to Neashi's confusion since it's not a Sleeping world. Anyways, one thing led to another and she ends up getting trapped in the Castle's dungeon to be dealt with later because now she knows too much about the Organization's secrets. 

Luckily for her, she used her thievery skills from her days in [Project: Pere Noel] to get out. While trying to find the exit, she came across the castle's bedrooms and saw a Meow Wow scratching at Roxas' bedroom door. Curious, she wonders what the Meow Wow wanted and checks inside the Keyhole to find a comatose Sora inside. 

She goes inside and tried everything in vain to wake him up, it was only after she saw that there's a Recusant's Sigil on his shirt that she realizes that the Organization had something to do with it since she now knows what the Sigil is used for.

That's when Neashi knew that they're BOTH in serious danger and need to get the hell out of dodge, she carried him on her back and starts to "Metal Gear" their way out of the Castle without getting caught, they were all in the clear until they made it to "Nothing's Call" and found that the blue Bridge leading out of the Castle was disabled. 

She tried to activate the bridge, but unfortunately, as seen in the actual game, she didn't make it and both of them got dragged back by a hooded Saix, only their Dream Eaters made it out unscathed and would later meet up with Riku at the entrance. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My little sister also played scary video game music to help accommodate the horror feel at the end, she said she didn't mean it but I welcomed it because that's exactly what I wanted.
