Ayy question for the culture:
If a Bisexual woman admits to feeling attracted to women 95% of the time and attracted to men on a rare occasion, would you call her wrong for identifying as Bisexual?
How is it different for Asexuals who on a rare occasion feel sexual attraction? And why would it be wrong for those Aces to make up a word for their specific relationship to sexual attraction? AND why would the origins of the word coming from RP matter at all if the word does its job and the people using it find no other word fitting? All words are made up my guy.
Also, sex workers have sex with people they're not particularly attracted to all the time. Everyone still has functioning nerve endings. Sex can still feel good even if you're not attracted to the person you're fucking in the same way a massage can feel good regardless of who gives it to you. An Asexual person might also have sex with someone for the sake of intimacy and feeling closer to them or because their partner wants to. And that's not coercion, not any more than cooking and eating your partner's favourite meal that you feel at best apathetic towards. Just because sex is a big deal to you doesn't mean it's a big deal to other people. It's exactly as important as anyone needs it to be.
People have a lot of reasons why they do what they do and if they're not hurting anyone or themselves while they do so... why do you care so badly? How does it negatively affect you on any level other than your personal beliefs on how the world works?
Unpopular Opinion:
Asexual is not liking sec. AT ALL!
It’s literally that, nothing else. There is not all these different types of Asexual sexualities.
Pansexual and Demisexual aren’t real. They are made up. Hell, Pansexual is literally BISEXUAL!
Did y’all forget that Demisexual was made for a fanfic? I think Pansexual was brought into being that way also. Hell, I am thinking most of the ‘new’ sexualities are from fanfics. I mean the omegaverse is.
I wish people would stop making up sexualities that are not even true.
Fuck, I thought these words would disappear in five years or so but it’s been longer and they are still here. Which they shouldn’t be.
