ah...... very optimistically googled "how to style faux fur" thinking I could find tips on how to get my dogs' ears and tails to lay better or maybe even add a bit of wave/curl to them...... blasted with a million listicles about what to wear with a fur coat :|
#I'm wondering if I could use the same strategies people use on synthetic doll hair... just on a smaller scale#like little bit of conditioner + boiling water + pin/curl/brush into the shape you want + blow dry to set#but I was hoping someone else had already done it so I wouldn't be the one experimenting!!

It’s always an experience going to the hairdresser and then a few days later, washing my hair at home and the hairstyle looks completely different.
#I have wavy hair but it always gets straightened by blow drying#and it also gets all frizzy by blow drying so I just stopped doing that#and I only brush the top of my head to not lose the waves#but I’ve only been to one hair dresser that realized my hair is wavy and who just waved it after blow drying it

#i washed my hair at midnight so now i have to stay up till 2am for it to dry#bc my roommate is sleeping so i can't use the blow dryer#moving out and being $$ indepndent ain't all it's cracked up to be#i do my early morning meetings in my bed while still underneath the blanket#then brush teeth have breakfast and go in at ~10am#come back by 3 or 4pm#and then it's just scrolling on my phone#till 2am#still haven't found a local doctor yet#barely done any cooking#haven't furnished my room beyond bed & desk & tons of boxes lying around#i keep feeling outpaced by ppl#by my male coworker whom i'm partnered with in everything so comparison is always inevitable#by my roommate who's barely 20 and still a college intern#by my oldest younger sib (same age) who has grown into themselves in the last year#and is doing things completely on their own in a way i never did at their age#and my mom has openly said that said sibling is better than me#keep trying to take one more step in the hope that it'll. idk.#give me serotonin#cure my executive dysfunction#break my rut#negativity cw

Going to the hairdresser for the first time in like two years or more after deciding to let my previously very short hair grow and to fully embrace my curls and treating them well and it's the first time I'm very stressed about getting a haircut and the hairdresser fucking them up 😬
#on the bright side a bad haircut is less visible on my hair#cause they are a mess anyway lmao#yes i take of them and all#but i have just a mane lmao#most specifically since i have lose curls#i have beautiful ringlets for one hour#and then it's fall flat#unfortunately starting work at 7am i don't have time to do a full refresh everyday#it's better in summer cause i can wet them more often#i have thick hair so they are nice#but i often looks like Hagrid or that one crazy witch from the woods#but most importantly I'm absolutely dying from the heat under it#and they are being weighted done#so i need a summer cut#but not too short so i can tie them#and so i can keep my ringlets#so I'm thinking layered cut just over the shoulders#anyway if the hairdresser talk about a blow dry or brushing my hair when dry im taking the scissors from her#jk i have social anxiety i will say nothing and die inside lmao#misc
