Extremely controversial opinion, but I think people who don鈥檛 have the time or energy or wherewithal to brush a dog should stop acquiring dogs with coats that require brushing.
#it fills me with actual rage#that almost every time someone brings in a large double-coated dog it鈥檚 burdened with an obscene amount of matted undercoat#it鈥檚 so stupid and hard and exhausting for both the groomer and the dog to have to undo those months of neglect in one afternoon#sometimes it鈥檚 impossible#and then after hours of washing and conditioning and blow-drying and brushing#the coat still has to be partially or completely clipped off and i hate it!!#it always looks so ugly!!#and these dogs are so rarely well prepared for grooming from a behavioral standpoint either#i鈥檓 just done#i鈥檓 not scheduling any more of these kinds of dogs again for a good long while or maybe for good#it just turns me too evil!!!#and this has been#juliana rants in the tags#thanks for tuning in <3

ah...... very optimistically googled "how to style faux fur" thinking I could find tips on how to get my dogs' ears and tails to lay better or maybe even add a bit of wave/curl to them...... blasted with a million listicles about what to wear with a fur coat :|
#I'm wondering if I could use the same strategies people use on synthetic doll hair... just on a smaller scale#like little bit of conditioner + boiling water + pin/curl/brush into the shape you want + blow dry to set#but I was hoping someone else had already done it so I wouldn't be the one experimenting!!

It鈥檚 always an experience going to the hairdresser and then a few days later, washing my hair at home and the hairstyle looks completely different.
#I have wavy hair but it always gets straightened by blow drying#and it also gets all frizzy by blow drying so I just stopped doing that#and I only brush the top of my head to not lose the waves#but I鈥檝e only been to one hair dresser that realized my hair is wavy and who just waved it after blow drying it

#i washed my hair at midnight so now i have to stay up till 2am for it to dry#bc my roommate is sleeping so i can't use the blow dryer#moving out and being $$ indepndent ain't all it's cracked up to be#i do my early morning meetings in my bed while still underneath the blanket#then brush teeth have breakfast and go in at ~10am#come back by 3 or 4pm#and then it's just scrolling on my phone#till 2am#still haven't found a local doctor yet#barely done any cooking#haven't furnished my room beyond bed & desk & tons of boxes lying around#i keep feeling outpaced by ppl#by my male coworker whom i'm partnered with in everything so comparison is always inevitable#by my roommate who's barely 20 and still a college intern#by my oldest younger sib (same age) who has grown into themselves in the last year#and is doing things completely on their own in a way i never did at their age#and my mom has openly said that said sibling is better than me#keep trying to take one more step in the hope that it'll. idk.#give me serotonin#cure my executive dysfunction#break my rut#negativity cw

The problem with having curly/wavy hair and having curtain bangs is that depending on if my curls want to curl it can either look great or horrible and it鈥檚 a pony tail day
