Why can't FromSoft make a dating sim with their characters?

It would objectively be the greatest dating sim of all time because they could just throw in characters from their menagerie of games that would appeal to a WIDE array of fans.

Elden Ring alone has a great lineup of husbando or wife material, but with their Dark Souls series and Bloodborne on top of that? I'd literally die from the collective energy from all the hot men (I am biased) in the games

You want a muscle mommy? Malenia's got you fam

You into furrys? Blaidd is ready to tie the knot ;)

Want a chivalrous himbo? Seigward is still trying to figure out how to use an elevator to get to you.

Femboys? Gwyndolin and Miquella are here too.

You like Transformers? Evangelion? Download the Armored Core dlc and wed these beautiful mecha yourself.

Of course there would be a fair share of villains in the game, disrupting your relationships and making you go on quests to save them.

Patches would be an annoying ex boyfriend that keeps coming back, and he'd have unique dialogue or interactions with you or your SO, such as if you went with the Seigward route, he'd shove him in a well and you'd have to rescue your himbo.

Mohg would be Mohg and be creepy obsessive over your SO depending on their size. For example, if you went the Gwyndolin or Miquella route, he'd kidnap them and you'd have to infiltrate his dynasty and get the cops on his ass and rescue your boyfriend.

Silvanus would, of course, be a douche for absolutely no reason at all.

Maybe there could even be a harem type thing if you so choose regarding whichever covenant you go with.

As a side note, I just checked the FromSoft catalog of games and I realized they have done a great deal more than just the souls games that I'm used to, but because FromSoft has a wide array of souls games, this is the most realistic group that could pull this off. It'd be cool if they could partner with other souls producing companies too, and maybe we could get to have a new protagonist or characters like those from Lies of P

Basically, I've had this thought for all of 5 minutes and I absolutely ADORE the idea of it all. The possibilities, the hot HOT men. I like the idea maybe a bit too much.

The Magnus Archives, Episode 11 — 13. Thoughts.

I've decided instead of speedrunning the damn podcast, I'll just listen to like, 3, a day.

Episode 11 — Dreamer.

2. Huh, Blood vessels? The way people are described here kinda reminds me of, uh, Bloodborne. For some reason. Though, the way the veins are described on the people.

2.5. Bet Antonio sees like, how people die. Like, death clairvoyance. Also, odd how he didn't wake up when he got hurt. Very odd.

3. OH MY GOD I WAS RIGHT! He saw how his previous manager (why is he name John too? Why???) was hung by a vein and he hung himself in real life! DEATH CLAIRCOYANCE!

3.5. Every Saturday, huh? And yeesh, 8 years of this?? I find it funny that our guy works in a magic shop. How funny.

4. Oh, oh fuck. Imagine trying to stop your dad's death and he died anyway. Ouch.

5. Scarlet light? That's new. And Gertrude seems to be the only one who died with this stuff in the dream... hmmm.

6. Poor Antonio, trying to stop people from dying and it happens anyways.

8. And Antonio Blake is a fake name, understandable. Sims thinks its kinda fake, but will clearly want to know if anyone dreams of his death. Same.

Episode 12 — First Aid.

1. Calling it now, we'll hear some wild shit. Like Cannibalism. Nightshift at the hospital is calling for chaos.

1.5. Hear ye! Christmas is not fun for doctors. The Insane shit that happens is wild. I know of a family member who got stabbed on Christmas. Told me about how, when he was waiting in the er, this one guy walked in with a firepoker in the side.

2. Dear god, second degree all over? What fucking happened? Did he get boiled alive? Roasted? The fuck???? Why are his clothing okay???

2.5. And another guy too. Shit. Bet its the spooky fire ghost. Why does the guy have eyes on his joints? Like, cool tattoos, but huh??? Are they protection? Like evil eye stuff??

3. OH MY GOD THE YOING GUY IS GERARS! GERARD WHAT ARE YOI DOING???

4. And the older one is speaking. Asag/Asak, Veepalach, and The Lightless flame. That seems. Important. Maybe it's the fire ghost guy from before? I don't know.

4.5. OUR DOC IS GETTING HOT LIKE OUR BUILDER GUY! The older man may be a fire ghost. Though, he's clearly tangible. Maybe it's fire people? Like, they can't live long because etheyll melt like candles? I'm just throwing stuff to the wall.

5. Okay. Empty AE. Not good. Why is there growling?

8.5. So, Sasha is techno person here while Martin is the language guy. Cool, cool. Don't like that last bit about an eye. Really don't!

Episode 13 — Alone.

1. OH MY GOD WE HET ANOTHER BOIXE! Naomi. Love that name.

1.5. Poor Sims trying to explain. Also, full name Naomi Herne. And it's about her fiances funeral? Rip.

2. Okay, regular stuff. Naomi seems depressed, but that's just me. I too love being alone. I don't have to talk to people, or be bothered.

3. The sudden mention of Evan having a religious family immediately made me think of a cult. And it probably is.

3.5. I really don't like the sound of the family. Also, mind control? Or maybe grief? Not sure about that bit.

4. Did Naomi get thrown into a liminal space, but the woods? Or am I just overthinking?

4.5. Naomi. Get out there. I really don't like the sound of that graveyard. NAOMI.

5. I don't know why, but that felt more... Real then the other statements I've listened to. Despite my love for being alone, I also am terrified of it. Especially of I'm the woods. Like, am I truly alone? And if I am, will I get out? Will anyone remember if I die? Will they care? Honestly, being alone can be both terrifying and comfortable.

6. Sims. Sims. You need to learn to be more nice oh my god. This man gets no bitches.

7. Okay, so possibly a teleworking graveyard. Hmm. And the fact that a part of the fragment has forgotten on it...

8. Yeah, the Lukases are a cult, probably about being forgotten or some shit. I can feel it!

okay so we got bloodborne kart, we got dark souls pro skater, now we need the demon's souls party game, the sekiro rhythm game, and the elden ring dating sim.

(at first i thought about elden ring being the party game but nah man, there's like so many characters in that game that people have the hots for. and so much variety! you got big wolf dude, pretty multi-armed witch lady, cute girl who is actually a cute snake, cute snake's dad who is a guy fused with a giant snake, pretty knight lady who will kill you (unless you're the 'let me solo her' guy), a big clay jar full of corpses, a literal fucking dragon, patches... there's something for everybody!)

While I know that videogames might not be everyone's cup of tea, let's just pretend that ALL your characters actually do like playing certain videogames. What kind of games do each of them like the most, and are they any good at it?

This one had me do some real thinkin'... 🤔💭

Guzma:

I think Guzma actually really enjoys playing any kind of co-op game with the grunts, even if he's not really good at them. But the grunts think it's funny when he starts raging at a game and he knows it. As far as games he plays alone in his freetime, I feel he prefers adventure/rpg type of game. He doesn't play a whole lot, but when he does find a game he likes, he plays it obsessively and tries to find every little bit of lore and secrets it has. He also always ends up becoming obsessed with games barely anyone's ever heard of and often he pesters Plumeria to play whatever game that is so he can discuss it with someone. (He also likes chill games and farming simulators like stardew Valley and animal crossing, but he's embarrassed about it and will deny it if asked)

Plumeria:

Plums likes rhythm games and strategy/puzzle based games mainly. It's definitely worth noting that she's, like, INSANELY good at them, too. Long story short, all the grunts know to never to take her bet if it invloves beating her high score. She also really enjoys any kind of game that implements any kind of branching path mechanic, so she's definitely played games like Zero Escape, Hades, and any of the telltale games multiple times.

Leon:

Definitely any kind of resource management game. So stuff like slime rancher, oxygen not included, factorio, terraria, et cetera. He's actually had to self ban himself from playing certain games because he missed too many league meetings literally playing for hours without realizing it. It bums him out because they were super fun, but he knows he can't trust himself.

Hop:

He likes minecraft and other sandbox games. He likes playing co-op with friends, but when he's at home, he doesn't have a great internet connection.

Moon:

Like the little gremlin she is, she likes horror games. She especially likes making Gladion and Hau play horror games with her. Or rather, not telling them it's a horror game until it's too late

A & B:

B is stellar at platformers. A is the best at fighting games of all the grunts. They are both equally trash at racing games.

Kalani (oc):

When he was much younger, he spent a LOT of time playing FPS. By the end of high school, he kind of got bored with them and played more MMO RPGs.

Molayne:

Mo also like MMO RPGs. He also likes games like Elden Ring and Bloodborn. He has, very discreetly, played a variety of dating sims and, no, no one knows about this but him.

Kukui:

The professor plays a lot of battle royale games. He's also very bad about getting sucked into gotcha games.
