Why make her the villain when she could be the jaded wingman that has to listen to the both of them coming to her to bitch about how the other one is an idiot for not picking up on their flirting. It happens so much she ends up just pleading with them to stop being idiots and just kiss already.

Making Sakura some shitty person thats cruel to the both of them is so heckin out of character when canonly, she has stated that she loves and cares about BOTH Sasuke and Naruto.
