It’s been a fun read so far, really looking forward to see Bene, Red and Blue’s eventual confrontation with the player

when he was younger Benevolent King took fencing lessons because he thought it looked cool only using one hand to fight. the castle guards all agreed and decided to teach him fencing (against Kitchen Wizard's wishes) and he was surprisingly good at it.

Benevolent King also definitely just really liked wearing white and was like "this looks epic"

in his present PS outfit he actually dyed his old fencing pants so that he could keep wearing them. they were pretty fashionable (in his opinion) and they were light and comfortable for him. so...why not just wear them everyday???

this is also why he can hold his heavy ass scepter in one hand with no problem lolz

Hatred reaches towards Greed, but it ducks away and shifts forms, making puppy dog eyes up at Hatred as crocodile tears formed in its eyes.

making me imagine Miles, Brad, Thana and Avarice waking up after Player uses the Illumina to reset, in the crossover between FS and PS.

They'd remember, just barely. Bits and pieces. Brad would have the strongest awareness.

It's impossible not to notice when your Taint is completely gone from your mind. When a new one takes its place.

Hatred used to be the source of the red on his body, but it never lined up with the Taint's maroon.

Now it's just Rage.

Miles, Thana and Brad take their blades before Shedletsky ever calls. They're met with confusion as they run out.

(Brad tugs his hat on. Miles grabs his cloak. Thana just runs.)

They trust their fourth to arrive in time.

They need to find the kids.

They need to get the other swords.

They need to stop that... creature from getting the Illumina again.

But Avarice will be a while- she needs to wait for the opportunity to steal the Firebrand to come back, after all.

Cluemer enjoys talking to the kids, Red finds him cool (especially his epic 3D glasses) but Blue thinks that he's a little bit loud.

Noobador taught Red & Blue stranger danger and they always speed walk past the Sketchy Figure because...he's sketchy. Sketchy Figure attempted to get the kids to buy something from him once but Noobador def didn't allow that

Player is evil in Playerswap and prior to snapping they were constantly tormented by Builderman's(?) voice

Purple and Green never jump the train in Playerswap Ch.3 because Noobador is offscreen beating them up in Ch.1/Prologue. this is the reason why the kids have been left with Terry (more info on Terry later lol)

A loud bang. The ground shook beneath Red and Blue's feet as they paused.

No…it can't be…nonononono-

Blue started to pull away, but Red pushed forward, now concerned for his uncle. That didn't sound good! Maybe some freak accident? Could Shedletsky have fallen really hard? Maybe it was the elevator falling from the top floor?

Red Noob: "...there...?"

The silence was deafening.

‼️‼️ Implied death under cut! ‼️‼️

Blue Noob: "Red- Red we need t-to leave…"

Red Noob: "...U-Uncle Shedletsky...?"

The only reply was the soft sizzling of energy. Hatred crackled through the air, accompanied by the sickening smell of charred flesh and burnt metal.

Nothing remained except for a scorch mark and a puddle of blood.

Uncle Shedletsky wasn't here anymore.

down below is a synopsis of the story and the plot so far!

this will also include currently not in use tags. actually this just includes the entirety of the tag directory now.

Something is deeply wrong.

Something is new. Something that's not supposed to be new.

Following Red and Blue, they see their Uncle Shedletsky dueling against somebody.

Right as Shedletsky gains the upper hand both kids watch in horror as Shedletsky is struck down by his aggressor. A wave of chilling malevolence washes over them as the Player leaves, leaving Red and Blue to contemplate what had happened.

…this day…Blue Noob can swear she remembers it playing out differently. In fact, she can recall the fact that this day isn't supposed to go like this at all-...

Red snaps and begins following the Player. Blue can only helplessly follow as her brother traces the bloody path of the Player, only stopping when a mysterious figure sweeps them up into a surprisingly warm embrace and brings them to safety in the Ye Olde Inn.

Meanwhile, Player is having a mental breakdown. The voices they hear in their head...they were loud. Incessant. They wanted more. They wanted everything.

It doesn't matter what sacrifices needed to be made to achieve these goals.

Aaaand story stops about here!

finally posting my Player designs in PLAYERswap AU lolz

lore dump + cartoonish body horror under cut:

uhhh Player gets messed up. catastrophically. they constantly receive prophecies of Builderman's kidnapping, their own death, and the ways they could get betrayed by everybody they know and love. fun.

this gets to the point where the voices convince Player to go beat the shit out of Shedletsky, mostly because he was trying to tell them "this isn't you"

voices then tell them "hey go get the Ice Dagger so that you can be unstoppable. btw you know that king in Blackrock? he's gonna try to stop you, go kill him."

Roadtown actually is normal until Player takes the Ice Dagger, and from there Roadtown gets sent into a sudden deadly blizzard.

by now Red and Blue had been trailing Player, but they have to stop because of the potentially dangerous blizzard blocking their path.

fun fact: Benevolent King actually came down to check on Roadtown because he noticed shit was off abt them. the giant death blizzard getting randomly summoned helped with this observation.

Benevolent King and Player actually don't end up meeting until inside of the castle, which would be just a little bit later.

Benevolent King ends up getting stuck in the Inn with the kids, and they start explaining what was happening to him. Benevolent King goes "damn, let’s go grab my guards to stop Player" before promptly bundling the duo up and heading back out to Blackrock Castle.

Player has been leaving a thick trail of ice in their wake, ice spikes jutting from the ground below.

Player has swept through the entirety of the castle in search of the king, soldiers have fallen and the guests are in utter terror as they storm into the throne room to confront Benevolent King and promptly murder him.

this does not go to plan, as he is NOT on the throne. instead Benevolent King and the kids stepped into the throne room to face…a very disfigured Player.

this is not the end of their suffering btw .]
