study and revision plan (exam block term one)

i know that it's not the best of me to be planning this a couple days before exam block starts, but in my defence, only now has all of the needed information been released.

i'd like to just put it out there--how helpful study plans like this are for me, as i can cross off items that i have completed and it gives me an idea of what to prioritise. since the list is mostly of tasks, it allows me to utilise whatever study technique i desire (mostly pomodoro❤️) to achieve my study goals.

i am going to reply to this post with any updates and changes.

The concept of Zero

Inspired by someone commenting that like the number zero, Vertin or the role of the timekeeper itself is a concept.

The concept of zero being that it is the placeholder for writing numbers, it is the origin but it is also the one that is merely a concept to get more of an understanding or guide to natural numbers to integers. It is the invisible line from the positive to negative, it is the middle ground.

The concept of zero in a more mathematical sense is that it is a additive to other numbers to make them bigger (ex:100) but the number zero itself is a non existent and empty number, like an equator, it is an imaginary line that helps us grasp the locations and placements of continents. Both are imaginary, both are just man made concepts to guide us to a better understanding.

Vertin's soul number is zero, she is unchanging and is considered one of the middle ground between humans and Arcanist. In a sense, she is a guide to most, but once the storm reaches its end, she will become nothing more than a concept, the role of the timekeeper was created for the very purpose of recording the beginning and ends of eras and braving the storm to one day create the immunity for it. The moment that there is no need for the timekeeper anymore, either the storm ending or finding a full reliable immunity towards it, the more people that gain the ability, the more Vertin's role becomes more of the ordinary.

The role of the timekeeper will soon fade and become only an invisible line, the origin of how it first began, on how civilization reached the immunity of the storm, and how the threat of the storm ended. In the far future where the rain doesn't rise, the term timekeeper and the name "Vertin" will be nothing more of a concept to what once was a catastrophic phenomena that hinder the progression of time, a subtle reminder of how she guided the freedom of humans and Arcanist out of the grueling storm, and into a world where the rain falls and the sun rises; Vertin is the concept of zero.

Okay okay wait so a fic where Luffy is like in a gang (modern au obviously) and ofc it’d be like the Strawhat Gang you know and so he meets Law at some point and he’s like “wow this guy is super cool” and “I gotta protect him” and so he’s like doing all this stuff to protect Law from all the shit he gets into and then at some point something happens and he finds out that the whole time Law has been the leader of like an equally powerful gang and Luffy’s like “HUH??? WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME?!” And Law just smiles slyly like this man has been totally waiting for this moment because he thinks he’s hilarious and he just shrugs and says “you never asked”

trying new methods🕰️

tried the pomodoro technique for the first time today and it worked surprisingly well! I got all my homework and studying done within an hour (unbelievable right?) and even managed to organise my notes. Today was filled with anxiety and a lot of exhaustion from yesterday. My math exam apparently was more draining that I thought and being a ta in the late afternoon didn’t help. Let’s make tomorrow a fresh start.

I’ll now try and see if the pomodoro thing helps with finally getting the next chapter of my fanfiction done, I by now feel sorry for the few readers :‘) exam season and writers block got the best of me. Update, 5:40pm.: I finished the chapter and uploaded it! Woho!

Todays highlight: saw one of my favorite teachers who seemed quite happy to see me as well!!<3

I've had to block some genuine tar pits over the open enrollment post but it is so funny how people think I'm just some random liberal absentmindedly hyping the ACA instead of (checks notes) a 10-year-career senior multi-certified professional medical coding analyst specialized in HHS HCC + ACA protocols + multi-medical specialties including oncology, rheumatology, and obstetrics (because so many people on the ACA fall into these specialities tbh!)

Like girl either offer more advice for people trying to get healthcare or shut up lol I am not ACA-posting for clout.
