Also I realize calling Byakuya in Turn Back The Pendulum a "teen" was super generous. He's the same age as Gin who looked very young. And if we compare him to Yoruichi's height he was no taller than 4 feet. That's shorter than a twelve year old. Yoruichi's behavior towards him in that scene is even worse now. That is just straight up a prepubescent boy.

Kubo confirmed Shutara's contribution as being the Shihakushou, but I think her being the Captain between the two of them could've been fun

So I went back to the Bleach Wiki and took a look, apparently that was only confirmed on CFYOW (the light novel by Narita) which...doesn't really have much canonical credibility, at least viewed by the fandom. I remembered seeing it in Senjumaru's Wikipedia page as well before, but the admins probably thought that it wasn't strictly canonical and took it down. Who knows?

That said, I myself actually believe in the idea that Senjumaru was the inventor of the shihakushou lmao, mostly because anything else is 1) not mentioned, 2) unlikely (in my mind, at least)? Since Kubo said he would be adding stuff in the anime, I really hope he would either make her the inventor of the shihakushou official or reveal her contributions to Soul Society

You know what, I have every sympathy for Soul Society not noticing there was an entire alternate dimensions being constructed in their shadows. My house abuts woodland in the back and all kinds of completely ungodly sounds come out of it, all the time, and I have never once ventured in to investigate. There is an ungodly sound coming out of it *right* now and I am writing this post instead of investigating. Because although there is no fence, Google Maps tells me the trees are the property line. Can't be crossing imaginary lines now can we! (Also there are ticks and poison ivy.)

Not that the Gotei historically has a problem with crossing lines, parasites, or poison, lolol, but I think for them it's less of an "oh, I wouldn't do that. It's rude" and more of a cognitive inability to consider the possibility. Even 12th-- they're busy looking at other things, deeper wormholes. They're looking at space(-time) in the Dangai, in Hueco Mundo, in the Valleys of Screams, not in the shadows!

I remember dropping Bleach years ago somewhere in the beginning of the Hueco Mundo arc, when it was still airing and I had zero patience to wait for the episodes to air. This year it got me back with that irresistible appeal of names and ranks and zanpakutou releases, which I somehow always crazily adored. And then Shinji's TBTP design somehow got me back to digital painting. He is like a Tooth Fairy gone wrong, with Rapunzel hair and awful posture, making horrendous faces. What's not to love?
