Did you know that white people make up only 7% of the global population? This thought-provoking question was raised by Yaya, a biracial woman, in a viral social media video. She shared her surprise that so many people, herself included, were unaware of this fact. Yaya reflected on how such a small percentage holds disproportionate global influence, stressing that white supremacy persists not because the numbers support it, but because it is actively allowed. Her video sparked widespread conversations about power, privilege, and representation. If Black people are the global majority, how can African people, both on the continent and in the diaspora, unite to dismantle white supremacy and build a more equitable future?

I saw an article in an Israeli leftist newspaper, which talked about a phenomenon nicknamed, "Blaxit." For those unfamiliar, it's a movement calling for Americans and Europeans of Black/African descent to move to Africa.
This is actually not a new idea (though according to the article, it has picked up some momentum since the George Floyd murder). The "Back to Africa" movement was based on the exact same idea, and was even successful in establishing a whole country for returning Africans, Liberia, as far back as 1847.
And here's the most ironic part: it's the EXACT same principle that drives Zionism. It's the notion that, "our ancestors were removed from our ancestral homeland a long time ago in order to be used as slaves by Europeans, and even though over time our people became free, we never became equal. We are tired of it, and even though we understand that our quality of life will drastically drop if we leave the places that thrived in part thanks to our people's labor over the years, especially as we leave them for the place we're originally from, which stagnated under the exploitative and oppressive influence of colonialism, we still prefer that hardship and sacrifice to a life of being second hand citizens (at best), of always being less than, of knowing our very right to live depends on the good will of the majority, made up of the descendants of those who enslaved our ancestors, a situation we can no longer bear."
I've never seen anyone chanting for the genocidal eradication of Liberia, or Sierra Leone (where 10% of the population is made up of the descendants of freed slaves from the US and Jamica), never heard anyone calling for the canceling of Maya Angelou because she returned to Africa by settling in Ghana, never heard anyone calling Ghana "an apartheid state" for giving returning Africans preferential treatment in immigrating there from 2019 on, or Sierra Leone for doing the same, I doubt anyone would call Africans adopting the Blaxit idea "colonizers" or "black supremacists." Yet all of that has been done to Jews and the Jewish State we've established in the Jewish ancestral homeland that our ancestors were removed from, when they were taken to be slaves across the Roman Empire. It's discriminatory in nature towards Jews, and it IS antisemitic.

Welcome to Black in Zürich: A Black Multiracial Family's First Year in Zürich
Introduction
Hello and welcome to Black in Zürich! I’m N, a proud Black mom of four beautiful souls aged 17, 14, 5, and 3, and the wife to my incredible partner, J, who is white. Originally from the United States, we’ve recently taken a leap of faith to move our family to Zürich, Switzerland, because of J's new job opportunity.
Why This Blog?
Starting this blog felt like a necessary step to document our family's journey—a transition not just of place but also of culture, social dynamics, and a multiracial family's experience in a predominantly white European country. My hope is that this space becomes a place of support, inspiration, and a resource for other families who are navigating similar life changes, particularly those who come from multicultural, multiracial backgrounds.
The Crew
Let's talk about our amazing kids. Our 17-year-old, A, is into digital art, drawing and has started looking into universities—both in the States and in Europe. The 14-year-old, N, is sports-obsessed and already scouting basketball clubs in Zürich. Then there's our spunky 5-year-old, G, who is enamored with all things nature and pink. And finally, we have our 3-year-old, I, who's just excited to be here (or anywhere, really). Each of them is processing this move in their unique ways, which I’ll delve into in future posts.
The Culture Shift
One of the reasons we took this plunge is the promise of a higher quality of life and excellent education for our kids. But we're not naive; we understand that Switzerland is very different from America, not just in language but also in terms of cultural nuances and racial dynamics. We know that our multicultural family might raise eyebrows or spark curiosity, but we are here to embrace the change while staying true to our roots.
What to Expect?
In this blog, I’ll share everything from our experiences in navigating the Swiss educational system for both teens and preschoolers, to the ways we're adjusting to Swiss culture while maintaining our African American heritage. I'll also discuss marriage and partnership across racial lines in a foreign land, budgeting for a family of six in one of the most expensive cities in the world, and all the joys and challenges that come with this expat life.
Thank you for joining us on this adventure. We're thrilled to share our ups, downs, and everything in-between as we navigate this new chapter of Our Swiss Life.
So sit back, grab a cup of tea (or wine, no judgments here!), and let’s take this journey together.
Cheers to new beginnings! 🇨🇭❤️🇺🇸

America simply isn't safe for black folk no mo'
So the best thing is to head back home, back to WAKANDA FOREVER, the reparations owed to us are the plane tickets (not boats they can't swim) back to the motherland, back to the origin of human life.
They were kings and should return to the lands they once ruled and were stolen from.

BobStool_BobJones is an instagram account with now 108 comments from the young folks on their post of the Positive letter from Eric Hutton. You can read it here.
I've downloaded the entire thread, but really most of it is just the same-old, same-old. What the kids don't realize is that their arguments are only going to harden the Board of Trustees against Steve Pettit.
As WutBJU has pointed out for years: Pettit has completely lost control of the student body.
Charisse Lane of Blaxit fame announces:
Tumblr media
Yeah, that's not going to happen. Anywhere. Students don't "vote" on who should be president in any school anywhere, let alone BJU.
Of course, Bob 3 gets his share of shade:
Tumblr media
Son, this is only going to make the Board of Trustees all the more resistant to listening.
Member of the Class of 2025, Toby Jorgensen, tries to explain, but he either trips up and adds an unintended NOT or he's accidentally telling the truth about how BJU students are taught about
Tumblr media
And then from the complete lack of any good sense files is Tim Hill:
Tumblr media
Sigh. . . . Bless.
