WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION MAGAZINE: December 1995
WWF SURVIVOR SERIES 1995 PREVIEW
Sunday November 19, 1995
Whoâs Fit to Survive?
WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION CHAMPIONÂ
DIESEL VS BRET âHIT MANâ HART
Itâs been an issue thatâs plagued both men since their last confrontation in January at the Royal Rumble. Who really deserves to wear the gold in the World Wrestling Federationâthe reigning titlist Diesel or the former champion known as the âExcellence of Execution,â Bret âHit Manâ Hart?
Back at the Royal Rumble, the diesel-Hart match fell apart when an assortment of their respective enemies disrupted the contest. The circumstances left both cham[ion and challenger feeling ripped off; neither had the satisfaction of cleanly beating the other.
According both Bret and Diesel, the Survivor Series will erase the stain of their last clash. Each insists that the battle will be fought to a decisive finish. Just to ensure this, the rules stipulate that the match can only be won via pinfall or submission. It was exactly one year ago at last yearâs Survivor Series when the beginnings of the first Hart-Diesel title match took root.
Bret came into the 1994 Survivor Series as World Wrestling Federation Champion, while Diesel was still largely known as Shawn Michaelsâ bodyguard, but the night would turn out to have a pivotal effect on both menâs lives.
In his title defense against Bob Backlund, Hart suffered a shocking loss when his brother Owen convinced their mother to throw in the towel. And in Dieselâs special Survivor Series tag team match, his relationship with Michaels disintegrated.
The Hit Man was supposed to get a shot at Backlund days later at Madison Square Garden, but the contender was too injured to take part in the match.
[Royal Rumble 1995]
Diesel was chosen to fill the slot, and then beat Backlund in a stunning eight seconds. Diesel knew that he would never be able to call himself a real champion if he didnât put up the belt against the Excellence of Execution.
However, in the midst of their grueling Royal Rumble match, the wrestlersâ enemies intervened. After Diesel blasted Hit Man with the Jackknife, Shawn Michaels rushed in and went after the champion. Then, when Hart had his opponent trapped in the Sharpshooter and ready to submit, Owen Hart attacked his brother.
Minutes later, the ring filled with adversaries of both battlers. Backlund, Jeff Jarrett and the Roadie joined Owen and the Heartbreak Kid in their war on Hart and Diesel. Seeing no way to restore order, officials were forced to declare the bout a draw.
Hart was entitled to a rematch, and Diesel was prepared to give it to him, but each man became distracted with his own concerns. At WrestleMania XI, Diesel tied up loose ends with Michaels, thenâjust one night laterâhe reunited with the Heartbreak Kid after he was attacked by Sid. Throughout the entire summer, Sid and then King Mabel were prominent on Dieselâs hit list.Â
Meanwhile, Hart was doing his own housecleaning, targeting the man who defeated him for the title, Bob Backlund, the old nemesis Jerry âThe Kinâ Lawler and his enforcer Isaac Yankem D.D.S.
As the autumn leaves began to fall, though, both men reflected back on last yearâs Survivor Series and decided they had unfinished business with each other. Diesel, a huge 7-footer, has proved that he can slice down men his own size, but his only significant opponent of Hartâs versatility has been Michaels.
Both Diesel and the Heartbreak Kid have admitted that their emotionsâbased on sadness over the breakup of their friendshipâdominated their WrestleMania XI confrontation. Thus, Hit Man is the first pure technician Diesel will wrestle with a clear mind.Â
As for two-time champion Hart, many contend heâs the true World Wrestling Federation titlist, a man whoâd still be defending the belt if it werenât for Owenâs orchestrations at last yearâs Survivor Series Hit Manâs supporters insist that he should have regained the championship at Royal Rumble, but his enemies derailed the plan.
On November 19 the speculating will end. Either Bret proves heâs the leader of the World Wrestling Federationâs New Generation or resigns himself to living in the shadow of Dieselâs legacy.

AEW FULL GEAR 2023 PREDICTIONS
Full Gear is shaping up to be a decent card, but Iâm hoping we get resolutions to some nagging issues Iâve been having with AEW as of late.
MJF and TBA vs. The Gunns - ROH World Tag Team Championship
The Ring of Honor titles on AEW TV has done nothing but cause a distraction. Most of the titles are now back on ROH, and I think the tag belts will follow. The only other angle they could do is, Samoa Joe and MJF team to win. Now both men are tied together with these belts. I can see this working, but I can also see Jay White getting involved in a screwy finish. Iâll with The Gunns for the victory.
Hikaru Shida vs. "Timeless" Toni Storm - AEW Women's World Championship
Hikari Shida reign as been lackluster. No fault of Shida by the way. AEW womenâs wrestling can go from hot to cold within a week. The lack of consistency and focus on the division is frustrating as a fan. I just donât know how Shida comes out with the win when Toni Stormâs new gimmick is so over. It makes sense to strike while the iron is hot. Timeless gets the win.
Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne
This match is going to be a blast. Iâm going all in with Adam Copeland going heel, thus causing Darby Allin and Sting to lose. Then they could do an Adam & Christan vs. Sting & Darby at Worlds End. Itâs a risky prediction, but Iâm sticking to it.
Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley â International Championship
This past week on Dynamite we saw that the orange punch barely fazing Jon Moxley. If Orange Cassidy wasnât the underdog already, heâs definitely walking in as one. The story is that the odds are stacked against Orange, which is why Iâm giving him the win that he needs. Moxley should walk out with a newfound respect for Orange.
The Golden Jets vs. The Young BucksÂ
The stipulation is simple; if The Young Bucks lose, then The Golden Jets (awful name) will obtain the Bucks number one contender spot for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. If the Jackson boys win, then Jericho and Omega must disband as a tag team. Iâm giving the win to Kenny and Chris. The Golden Jets will then go on to win the belts from Big Bill and Ricky Starks and then the feud with The Young Buck - who are already pissed off due to the loss from Full Gear - will continue.
Ricky Starks and Big Bill vs. La Facción Ingobernable vs. FTR vs. Kings of The Black Throne - AEW World Tag Team Championship
Ricky Starks and Big Bill as tag team champions has been boring. I must keep reminding myself that they have the belts, which is a bad sign for the division. I donât see LFI winning as itâs early days for them. FTR donât need the belts, and Kings of The Black Throne just havenât been built to take those belts. I believe Starks and Bill will retain, and as mentioned, they will drop the belts to The Golden JetsâŠunless The Young Bucks win their match and FTR wins this one, and we get another match with both teamsâŠplease, letâs not do this match again.
"Hangman" Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland - Texas Death Match
This is easily one of the best feuds of the year. Both men are telling a fantastic story where the drama keeps building each week. This is going to be a bloody and vicious fight. Iâve heard many people say that Serve Strickland needs to win this match, but he doesnât because this is not your typical match, itâs a fight that has stemmed from a man breaking into another manâs house and threatening a baby. Adam Page needs to win to show he can defend his family. At the end of the day, both men will come out of this match looking great.
Kris Statlander vs. Julia Hart vs. Skye Blue -  AEW TBS Championship
Who is Kris Statlander? She was an alien, but she dropped the gimmick, so who she is now? I donât know. AEW has failed to explore her character. With no clear direction, sheâs just been standing between to Skye Blue (whose had development as a character) and Willow Nightengale looking confused. Like Toni Storm, Julia Hart has been connecting with the audience. I think the belt will be going on Hart because itâs not doing anything for Statlander. I feel Blue still has some time to go before getting any gold.
MJF vs. Jay White â AEW World Championship
It feels like this feud has been going on forever, so Iâm glad itâs being wrapped up this weekend. Iâm also not a Jay White fans because AEW has failed to tell me anything about him as an individual whereas MJF has transitioned wonderfully into a babyface where weâve seen a vulnerable side to his character thatâs relatable. MJF wins this one.
Iâm hoping Full Gear finally reveals The Devil. Again, it feels like this Devil character has been around for much longer than they have. I canât wait for MJF to retain so he can move on. I want the tag division to have a clear direction and for the womenâs division to shine the light on the characters that need it. I feel positive that this PPV will conclude and open up new and exciting stories.

World Championship 2008 Deck Profile: Elemental HERO
Nothing says "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" quite like the Elemental HEROES. Largely failing to make a competitive splash, Jaden Yuki's favorite cards nonetheless remain a fan favorite and are quite fun in many forms. The idea is simple: use Fusion Summoning to turn your pretty mediocre Monsters into actually kinda okay Monsters. With so many options available, some of which getting their own decks, I decided my primary Elemental HERO deck would revolve around the best ones, using the best main deck HEROES so that Fusion Summoning, while the goal, is not required for this deck to achieve anything. In particular this deck utilizes Elemental HERO Sparkman and his many powerful fusions. Among them, Shining Flare Wingman is my favorite, as it can be easily cheesed out by fusing Sparkman with a fusion substitute, allowing us to skip needing to summon Flame Wingman first. Despite the emphasis on Fusion Summoning, this deck plays only one copy of Polymerization. This is because Elemental HERO Woodsman and King of the Swamp can be used to search it, and the former can retrieve it from the Graveyard to for further use, possibly even as discard fodder. When in doubt of which HERO to retrieve from your deck with Stratos or E - Emergency Call, go for Elemental HERO Heat; even one other Elemental HERO on the field will put Heat's attack power above almost all other level 4 or lower monsters, and it keeps building as you keep assembling HEROES. Here's the list: MONSTERS (20): Elemental Hero Sparkman x3 Cyber Dragon x3 Elemental Hero Bladedge x1 Elemental Hero Lady Heat x1 Elemental Hero Ocean x2 Elemental Hero Stratos x1 Elemental Hero The Heat x3 Elemental Hero Woodsman x2 King of the Swamp x3 The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion x1 SPELLS (10): E - Emergency Call x3 Future Fusion x1 Heavy Storm x1 Miracle Fusion x3 Polymerization x1 Premature Burial x1 TRAPS (10): Call of the Haunted x1 Dimensional Prison x2 Hero Signal x1 Mirror Force x1 Phoenix Wing Wind Blast x2 Solemn Judgment x2 Torrential Tribute x1 FUSIONS (30): Chimeratech Fortress Dragon x3 Cyber End Dragon x1 Cyber Twin Dragon x2 Elemental Hero Darkbright x3 Elemental Hero Inferno x3 Elemental Hero Plasma Vice x3 Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman x3 Elemental Hero Shining Phoenix Enforcer x3 Elemental Hero Terra Firma x3 Elemental Hero Thunder Giant x3 Elemental Hero Wildedge x3

Noah couldn't believe it when she saw Leon, standing there with stitches open and bleeding. Wasn't he supposed to be at the hospital after all that had happened?! "L-Leon? What are you doing here?! You're supposed to be resting and healing!" She ushered him in but clearly was worried beyond belief. "Lay down on the couch. I'll get something to stop the bleeding."
[ She was right. The purple-haired man was supposed to be at the hospital right now, recovering from the traumatic event that was the Darkest Day, yet⊠Here he was, on her doorstep. He had escaped the hospital, unknown to the nurses before he could be admitted soon enough, in denial of everything that happened. The betrayal of the man he trusted the most, who was the one who gave Leon when he was just a child, a chance to be the champion. Failure to protect those close to him, including his own brother and his friend, who both rose up above anything Leon could ever do and became heroes themselvesâat the risk of their own lives. People couldâve diedâpeople probably did die, and what did Leon Burns, champion and hero of Galar, rated to be the strongest of them all, do?
Nothing. He did nothingâŠat all.
Sure, Leon and his PokĂ©mon were holding off Eternatus for a while as Hop and Gloria were dealing with the chairman themselves, and it wasnât easy for any of them. Sure, he and his partner, Charizard, might have thrown themselves to shield Hop and his friend from the blastâboth getting flash burns that would scar over from the powerful, blinding blast the alien unleashed when it was too potent to keep in a PokĂ©ball, but⊠Right after that, he was taken out, and forced to watch his own downfall like it was some sick joke from Arceus itself. ]
[ The championship battle was delayed until the champion had recovered sufficiently enough for the finals, but he was in no condition at all to resume those matches. He was able to go back to his apartment and change out of the hospital gown into the clothes he wore when he was training. And with the training he was trying to attempt, he pushed himself too hard and his stitches snapped. He was nearby Noahâs residence, so he had found his own legs walking to her house like they knew the turbulence his head and heart were going through. ]
ââŠIâm sorryâŠâ [ was all he was able to mutter out right now as he slowly made his way over to sit on the couch, bloodstained himself; oddly clenching onto the hat he wore with his champion uniform like he was a terrified king, afraid of dethroning. His eyes were too focused downward, but Noah could see all the awful thoughts going through his head as his normally gleaming eyes were lacking color and energy. A rumble of thunder roared throughout the city, signifying that it was starting to rain. ]

Marlboro Ice Blast Cigarettes | wholesaletobaccoaustralia.com
Most participants equated the 'button' imagery found on flavour capsule cigarettes (figure 2) with the release of flavour. Several described this as 'cool' or 'cold' and referenced ice candies such as Mentos and Snowbear.
Marlboro has a history of motorsport sponsorship, supporting factory World Rally Championship teams including Giacomo Agostini, Angel Nieto and Jarno Saarinen.
They have also supported privateer drivers such as Markku Alen and Carlos Sainz.
Product Description
In terms of taste, a significant number of older (15-16) adolescents compared Marlboro Ice Blast with Tango Ice Blast (a sugary slushy drink). The name also reminded them of a fruit flavoured beverage. Other participants thought the cigarettes were menthol in flavour. The packâs resealable flip-top lid makes it easy to keep unsmoked cigarettes fresh.
Participants viewed the packaging for marlboro ice blast cigarettes variants as indicating relative harm, with different colour codes used to communicate the relative machine-measured tar yield. For example, the cigarette packs feature a bluecoloured rooftop symbol, with a larger rooftop seen for the variant reporting a tar yield of 6.0 mg and a comparatively smaller-sized rooftop being used for the variant reporting a tar yield 1.0 mg.
The Marlboro brand is associated with motor racing, with the company sponsoring the factory World Rally Championship teams of Lancia between 1972 and 1974, and Mitsubishi between 1999 and 2002. In addition, the brand has appeared on the helmets of a number of rally drivers including Markku Alen, Timo Salonen and Juha Kankkunen.
Product Benefits
Marlboro Ice Blast cigarettes combine premium Marlboro tobacco with an icy blast of menthol to deliver a unique and thrilling smoking experience. The resealable pack keeps your cigarettes fresh and ready for the next smoke, while the innovative Iceball adds an extra blast of menthol to enhance the flavour.
To help you enjoy the experience even more, simply crush the ICEBALL on the upper part of the filter before lighting and smoking your cigarette. The easiest way to do this is by pressing hard using your thumb and index finger, or alternatively bite on the area where the ICEBALL is with your upper and lower front teeth.
Ice Blast is available in packs of 20. The ICEBALL can be crushed on the upper part of the filter to enhance the menthol taste.

Ice Blast cigarettes are a unique variant of marlboro red cigarettes with a capsule inside the filter that you can squeeze for more intense menthol flavor. These cigarettes are milder than other Marlboro varieties and have a lower nicotine content. The cigarettes come in a flip-top pack that can be resealed to maintain freshness and prevent the cigarettes from drying out.
The cigarette contains a green ball at the top of the filter called an âICEBALL.â You can crush this to enhance the menthol taste and flavor of the cigarette. You can crush it by pressing with your thumb and index finger or biting it. When crushed, it adds a cool sensation to the cigarette, similar to when you put Mentos Spearmint in your mouth.
Cigarette packages display numbers and sequentially different rooftop sizes to communicate a hierarchy of relative machine-measured tar yields within the brand family. This is known as intrafamily codeing. This is how the manufacturer, Philip Morris International (PMI), communicates a hierarchy of reduced harm to smokers.
Product Price
Cigarette smokers tend to show high loyalty towards a specific brand style. Hence, they are reluctant to purchase a different version of the same brand. For instance, a Marlboro Red King Size hard pack smoker will reluctantly buy the soft pack King Size of Marlboro Ice Blast even though it tastes different.
Hence, the pricing strategy of marlboro ice blast is important for the marketing success of the product. The premium wrapper is sold at a higher price than the normal Marlboro cigarettes. This gives the consumer a feeling of buying an exclusive and quality product.
The ice blast capsule inside the filter of the cigarette adds to the coolness that is experienced while smoking it. To supercharge the experience, you can crush the iceball by using your thumb and index finger (or use your nails). This will enhance the coolness of the cigarette and increase your satisfaction as a smoker. This is especially true if you smoke it with a cold drink or other beverage.

Joshua Bishop vs Matt Cardona vs Lacey Karmens vs Bayley vs Syn- King of the Mountain #1 Contendership
The last match on the MPW Calander for 2023, and one hand selected by the MPW World Champion herself- the match we brought back the six-sided ring for. For the first time in MPW history, a King of the Mountain match will determine whoâs going to State of Emergency to challenge VENY for the MPW World Championship. Joshua Bishop, Matt Cardona, Bayley, Lacey Karmens, and Syn, all looking to punch their ticket to the main event of State of Emergency 3.
For the uninitiated, the rules of this match arenât quite like anything youâve seen before. Essentially, this is a reverse ladder match. There will be a briefcase handled by the referee, in which you had to climb a ladder, and hang above the ring to win- however, itâs not that simple. To win, you must first become eligible to hang the briefcase- you do that by scoring a pinfall or submission over one of your other opponents. The person who gets pinned or submitted isnât eliminated, but rather, but spend two minutes in the Penalty Box, a large metal cage at ringside. The first person to become eligible, and hang the briefcase will become the winner, and #1 contender.
MPW Senior Official Jake Clemons presides over this one, and as he calls for the bell, chaos erupts! Predictably, Joshua Bishop & Syn go right after each other, hammering away with each other right away, as Bayley & Lacey Karmens, the two smallest competitors in this match, immediately team up and go after Matt Cardona! Syn and Bishopâs brawl spills out of the ring, as Bayley & Lacey trap Cardona against the ropes of the six sided ring, and hammer away at one another. Bayley & Lacey begin alternating chops on Cardonaâs chest, peppering him with stiff strikes, before the two of them whip Cardona across the ring, before Lacey grabs Bayley, and launches her into Cardona in the corner, Bayley catching Cardona in the gut with a big shoulder! Bayley then actually drops down, onto all fours, and allows Lacey to charge and launch themselves off of her back, and crash into Cardona with a body splash! Bayley got back up, and offered Lacey a high five, but as soon as Lacey accepts it, Bayley rolls them up!
1âŠ.2⊠Kickout!
Bayley almost caught Lacey there, but it wasnât to be, and Lacey immediately gets back up and starts beating down on Bayley! Fists fly inside the ring, and outside of it, as Bishop slams Synâs face into the penalty box! Syn tries to stumble away, but Bishop follows after, grabbing a chair from the ringside area and folding it up, before smacking the chair over Synâs back, causing Syn to collapse into the guardrail! Bishop throws down the chair and goes to grab Syn again, but Syn blasts Bishop with a couple of forearms, fighting back, before Syn reaches for Bishopâs eyes and gouges them! Bishop stumbles away, clutching at his eyes, as Syn grabs the chair, swings, and cracks it over Joshua Bishopâs back! Bishop stumbles away, clutching at his back, as Syn grabs him again, and tries to drive Bishop into the ring post, but Bishop blocks and catches Syn with a big elbow, forcing Syn off of him, forcing Syn back. Syn stumbles away, and Bishop measures, before dropping Syn with a big Pump Kick on the outside! Syn nearly gets his head taken off, as he has to lean against the ring apron just to stand. Bishop then proceeds to grab Syn and lift him up, before shouting at the fans up front here in Brooklyn to clear out, the fans doing just that, before Bishop throws Syn right over the guardrail and down onto the seat of chairs with a MASSIVE Bishop Bomb! Syn explodes through the chairs, and crashes to the floor!
After that devastating maneuver, Josh Bishop climbs to the other side of the guardrail and drags Syn back to his feet, catching Syn with a chop to the chest, dropping Syn back into the seat of one of the chairs. Bishop then catches Syn with a couple more chops to the chest, before Bishop takes a step back, and knocks Syn back out of the chair with a boot to the face!
Syn rolls on the floor, trying to muster up the strength to get back in the fight, as back in the ring, Matt Cardona and Bayley trade blows, before Cardona tries to send Bayley off the ropes, but Bayley turns it around on him, sending Cardona into the ropes instead, and on the rebound, Lacey intercepts and drops Cardona with a big dropkick! Lacey gets up as Cardona rolls into the corner, as Bayley is quick to once again trap Cardona in the corner, and land a couple of kicks to his gut. While Bayley is distracted, itâs Laceyâs turn to try and roll Bayley up!
1âŠ.2⊠Kickout!
Bayley out at two, saving herself from the penalty box, but as Lacey gets back up, theyâre met with a boot to the face from Cardona! Cardona rolls Lacey back to their feet, but as Lacey gets back up, they surprise Cardona with a headbutt! Cardona staggers away, clutching his lip, as Bayley tries to grab Lacey from behind, looking for a Bayley to Belly, but Lacey catches them with a back elbow, causing Bayley to stagger away. Lacey grabs Bayley and sends her off the ropes, before dropping Bayley with a HUGE San Fran Bicycle! Bayleyâs head gets taken off, but as Lacey lands on their feet and spins around, theyâre caught with a Radio Silence from Cardona! Lacey gets their head driven into the mat, and Cardona hooks the leg, looking for the cover!
1âŠ2âŠ3!
âMatt Cardona is now eligible to hang the briefcase, Lacey Karmens must spend two minutes in the Penalty Box.â
Referee Jake Clemons helps Lacey back to their feet outside of the ring, and guides them to the penalty box, locking them inside, as the timer starts to tick down on our screen. Matt Cardona goes to retrieve a ladder, but on the outside, Syn grabs him, and bounces Cardonaâs head off the ring apron, before the two men continue to beat on each other with a series of forearms back and forth. The two men continue to fight back and forth, before both men suddenly notice Josh Bishop, in the ring, charging the both of them, ladder raised high above his head, before Bishop throws the ladder, taking out both Syn & Cardona on the outside! Holy shit!
Bishop pounds on his chest a couple times, shouting something about Exit 187, but as he turns around, Bayley catches him with a flying knee from the second rope! Bishop stumbles, and Bayley looks to hit the ropes again, but on the rebound, Josh Bishop LEVELS Bayley with a HUGE Pump Kick! Bayley falls to the mat, and Bishop grabs her, lifting her up with a hand around her throat, and throwing Bayley overhead with a Choketoss Suplex RIGHT into a ladder! Bayley is sent crashing into the ladder, knocking it right over! The ladder is dented from the impact, and as Bishop tries to set it back upright, it becomes clear very early on that the ladder isnât gonna stand on itâs own anymore. Bishop then proceeds to just rip the ladder apart, and throw one of the pieces of it out of the ring, before taking the other piece and throwing to the outside, down right onto Syn, taking out the Poisoned Prince!
Bishop slides out of the ring again, looking for another ladder, but as he does, heâs surprised by a chair shot to the head from Lacey! Lacey free from the Penalty Box, and free to rejoin this match, going after Josh Bishop with the chair! Lacey brings the chair over their head once again, slamming it down into Bishopâs back again, and again, until Bishop is flat on his stomach, unmoving on the outside. Lacey slides into the ring with the chair in hand, and as Bayley approaches them, Lacey nails Bayley in the gut with the chair, before laying the chair down, grabbing Bayley by the head, and using the ropes to plant Bayley down on the chair, head first, with a HUGE Tornado DDT! Bayley might be out cold! Lacey covers!
1âŠ.2âŠ3!
âLacey Karmens is now eligible to hang the briefcase, Bayley must spend two minutes in the Penalty Box.â
Lacey Karmens acts quickly, grabbing the first ladder in the ring and trying to get rid of it, but inadvertently bridges the ladder across the ring apron and steel guardrail. Lacey then grabs a different ladder, before setting it up in the middle of the ring, asking the referee on the outside, referee Jason Ayers, for the briefcase. Lacey starts climbing the ladder, but as Lacey gets up top and tries to grab the hook to hang the briefcase, Matt Cardona runs up the ladder, and starts nailing Lacey with right hands. This causes Lacey to drop the briefcase, as Cardona and Lacey start trading blows atop the ladder! Precarious position for both wrestlers!
Cardona blocks one of Laceyâs punches, and tries to slam Laceyâs head into the top of the ladder, but Lacey blocks it, and headbutts Cardona once more! Cardona is stunned, and Lacey manages to set their feet on one of the top rungs, grabbing Cardonaâs head, before Lacey dives off the ladder, with hold on Cardona, as Lacey and Cardona crash down onto the mat together, Lacey catching Cardona with a Cutter off the top of the ladder! Holy shit!
Syn is quick to take advantage, with Lacey unable to, hooking Cardonaâs arms and dragging him up to his feet, before dropping Matt Cardona on his head with the Neurotoxin! Syn hooks the leg on Cardona!
1âŠ.2âŠ.3!
âSyn is now eligible to hang the briefcase, Matt Cardona must spend two minutes in the Penalty Box.â
Syn, Lacey, and Cardona all eligible to win this match now, but Cardonaâs gotta get locked in the box for a couple of minutes, Bayleyâs time not yet up either, as she still has about 30 seconds. This might be Synâs best chance with Lacey down, and he knows it, grabbing the briefcase and heading up the ladder, briefcase in hand, trying to punch his ticket to State of Emergency. Syn starts climbing, but as he gets halfway up, thereâs suddenly someone pulling on his foot, as he turns and realizes that Joshua Bishopâs got him by the leg. Syn tries to fight back, but refuses to drop the briefcase, which ends up costing him, as Bishop climbs up the ladder a bit, and wraps a hand around Synâs throat, before chokeslamming Syn off the ladder! Holy shit!
Syn lands hand, and Bishop drops down on top of him, looking for the cover!
1âŠ.2⊠Broken up!
Lacey comes in with the chair again, cracking the chair over Bishopâs back again! Bishop grits his teeth in agony, as Lacey nails him with the chair again, before throwing the chair aside, and turning to hit the ropes, looking for a San Fran Bicycle⊠but on the rebound, Bishop catches and spins Lacey, before PLANTING Lacey with a huge Black Hole Slam! Holy shit! Bishop into the cover!
1âŠ.2⊠Kickout!
Lacey out at two, Bishop still not eligible yet. Bishop gets back to his feet and grabs Lacey, throwing them out of the ring, causing Lacey to collide with Bayley, who was just getting out of the penalty box, taking out both Lacey and Bayley for the time being. Bishop tries to turn his attention back to Syn again, but as he turns around, Syn charges and cuts Bishop in half with a big Spear! Bishop down, Syn the only man standing for the time being, and once again, Syn goes for that briefcase, and starts heading back up the ladder, desperate to pull off the win while one of his opponents was still in the penalty box, and two of them were ineligible still. Syn starts climbing the ladder again, only for Bayley to slide into the ring, and start to tug on his foot. Syn manages to kick her in the face, and get Bayley off of him, but before Syn can continue to try and hook the briefcase, suddenly, Lacey springs up onto the ropes, before launching themselves, knocking the ladder over with a dropkick, sending the ladder and Syn both clattering to the floor! What a nasty fall!
Synâs leg actually clips referee Jake Clemons on the way down, knocking him out as well! Syn lands hard, but is actually quick to get back to his feet, only to get grabbed by Joshua Bishop, into a rear naked choke! Syn struggles against Josh, trying to fight being put to sleep, but as Syn starts to fade, Bishop instead flips Syn around, and hoists him up, getting Syn set up in a precarious position, before Bishop charges the discarded chair in the ring, planting Syn onto the chair with a Tombstone! Holy shit! Synâs neck might be broken after a move like that!
Bishop tries to cover Syn, but thereâs no referee to speak of at the moment, as Clemons is still down and out inside of the ring. Bishop gives up on the pin for the time being, and goes over to Clemons, trying to revive the referee, only for Lacey to sneak up behind him, and catch Bishop with a low blow! Bishopâs eyes nearly pop out of his head, as he stumbles backward, only for Matt Cardona to slide into the ring, and drop Joshua Bishop with a Radio Silence! While Bishop gets his head driven into the mat, Bayley is quick to follow it up, grabbing Bishop and hooking his arm and his head, before planting Bishopâs face into the mat with The Rose Plant! Bayley into the cover, to become eligible!
1âŠ2âŠ3!
âBayley is now eligible to hang the briefcase, Joshua Bishop must spend two minutes in the Penalty Box.â
In what must make the MPW World Champion ecstatic, Joshua Bishop is now the only man not eligible to win this match, and on top of that, must now spend two minutes in the penalty box. As Bishop is escorted to the metal box, Syn, Bayley, Matt Cardona, and Lacey Karmens all gather in the middle of the ring, exchanging what now looks to be pleasantries and high fives with one another, as apparently this was the plan all along. Get Joshua Bishop in an unwinnable situation, win the match and steal Josh Bishopâs chance at the #1 contendership while heâs locked in a cage.
All there is to decide now, is who is actually going to win this matchâŠ
Syn, apparently, volunteers himself, grabbing the briefcase, and ready to head up the ladder, when Matt Cardona puts out a hand to stop him. Thereâs a moment of âUh⊠whatâre you doing?â from Cardona, and apparently Synâs answer of: âAcknowledge me, slapnuts.â, which was apparently the wrong answer, as Syn and Cardona come to blows! Bayley, seeing an opening, tries to snatch the briefcase and head up the ladder, but Lacey grabs her, stopping her, and starts firing away with right hands of their own! It seems the plan here has completely broken down!
Matt Cardona tries to whip Syn into the ropes, but Syn turns it around on him, before Cardona turns it around on him, sending Syn into the ropes, but Syn manages to stop himself, and turn around, just in time to see Cardona charging him, but Syn manages to send Matt Cardona up and over the ropesâŠ
And Matt crotches himself on the rungs of the ladder! Cardonaâs face twists into extreme pain, as he meant to just hit the floor on the outside, and instead ate a ladder rung to the dick! The ladder that had been bridged across the ring apron and the guardrail earlier comes back to bite Cardona, and it appears itâs going to be two fold, as Bayley ducks a San Fran Bicycle from Lacey, and sends Lacey up and over the top rope, crashing down onto Matt Cardona and the ladder on the outside, breaking themselves, Cardona, and the ladder in half! Holy fuck!
Bayley turns around to figure out where Syn ran off to⊠only to eat a Guitar to the head! Syn had apparently stashed a guitar out here tonight, and now, Double J style, Syn just smashed a guitar over Bayleyâs head!
Syn lets Bayley roll out of the ring, as he discards the guitar, and picks up the briefcase once more. Thinking heâs won, Syn decides to take another page out of Double Jâs book, and rather than climbing the ladder, Syn takes a moment to strut right down the middle of the ring, briefcase in hand, calling his shot, and already celebrating his victory, before rasing the briefcase into the air, and telling all of BrooklynâŠ
âACKNOWLEDGE. ME.â
Syn, wide, shit eating smirk on his face, turns around, looking to climb the ladderâŠ.
AND WALKS RIGHT INTO A PUMP KICK FROM JOSHUA BISHOP!
The two minutes had elapsed, and Bishop was out of his cage, and Syn was now all alone with the Intense Icon! Bishop picks Syn up off the ground, and shoots him into the ropes, before catching, spinning, and planting Syn with a BIG Black Hole Slam! Upon impact, Bishop wastes absolutely no time, wrapping a hand around Synâs throat, and lifting him back up, before planting Syn with an absolutely devastating chokeslam!
And then, the piĂšce de rĂ©sistance. Bishop puts Synâs heads between his legs, and calls out to the crowdâŠ
âExit 187!â
And as Bishop brings his hands down into an X, all of Brooklyn practically shouts in unison:
NO SURVIVORS!
Bishop hoists Syn into the air, before dropping Syn with a massive, devastating, bone crushing Bishop Bomb! Bishop folds Syn up!
1âŠ.2âŠ.3!
âJoshua Bishop is now eligible to hang the briefcase, Syn must spend two minutes in the Penalty Box.â
And with nobody left to stop him, all of VENYâs hired guns for the evening disposed of, Syn locked in a cage, only able to watch, Josh Bishop sets up a ladder, grabs the briefcase, and after a quick climb to the top, hooks it to the cable! Itâs over!
âHere is your winner, The King of the Mountain, and the #1 Contender of the MPW World Championship, The Intense Icon, Joshua Bishop!â
VENYâs worst fears have officially come to pass. The man she stole the MPW World Championship from is now her opponent for State of Emergency 3, Josh Bishop is getting another shot at the MPW World Title!
Thank you for joining us for MPWâs annual holiday tradition, and thank you for joining us in 2023. Weâll see you folks after the break, goodnight everybody! Happy Holidays!

O'SHAQUIE FOSTER SCORES STUNNING STOPPAGE WIN OVER EDUARDO HERNANDEZ AFTER ROUND OF THE YEAR

Champion retains title with final-round TKO after incredible championship rounds in Cancun.
OâShaquie Foster dug deep to retain his title with a stunning final round KO win over Eduardo Hernandez â where the pair wrapped a bow around the round of the year with incredible action in the 11th round of their brilliant battle in Cancun, Mexico, live on DAZN.  Foster (21-2 12 KOs) was making the first defense of his title in the Mexican mandatory challengerâs homeland, and the belt was on its way to changing hands on the judgesâ cards before the insane 11th round that took the breath away, and ultimately changed the course of the contest.  Hernandez (34-2 31 KOs) somehow stayed on his feet as Foster stunned him, then poured on the pressure, with the Mexican on the shakiest of legs and seemingly ready to go. But from out nowhere, âRockyâ hurt the champion and began to unload his own arsenal as he looked capable of scoring his own stoppage, with both men ending a breathtaking three minutes of action trading the most brutal of leather.  Early in the final round, though, it was apparent that Foster had more left in the tank and so it proved, as he floored Hernandez twice before the referee stepped in to end matters with just 28 seconds left â and agonizingly for the challenger, the scorecards after the fight revealed that had Hernandez heard the final bell, heâd have been crowned the new king, with two of the judges having him comfortably ahead â 110-99 and 107-102 â going into the final round.  Hernandez will look to regroup and come again in 2024, but for Foster, a big box is ticked by pulling out a dramatic final round KO to cling onto his title in the most dramatic fashion, and one that will make the boxing world stand up and take notice, as âIce Waterâ called out Joe Cordina to face him in a unification clash if the Welshman retains his IBF crown next weekend in Monaco against Edward Vazquez.
O'SHAQUIE FOSTER SCORES STUNNING STOPPAGE WIN OVER EDUARDO HERNANDEZ AFTER ROUND OF THE YEAR
âMy coaches were telling me that I was behind around the eighth round, so I knew I had to push it before I lose my belt; I have to give it all, so thatâs what I did,â said Foster. âRocky is a hell of a puncher and a hell of a fighter, I had to dig deep, but I knew I could catch him. Around the ninth or tenth round, I started seeing his body limp when I hit him with the right hand, so I just kept having faith in it.  âIn the 11th round, I hurt him, but he came back and hit me with a good shot, so it gave him a little more hope, but in the 12th round, I knew I could catch him.  âWith the comeback KO, I rate my performance an eight out of ten, but I really wasnât too satisfied with how I fought. But it was a fun fight; I had fun in there.  âI want the winner of the fight next week with Cordina and Vazquez, that should be next, unify, letâs do it. Iâve proved Iâll go anywhere to fight, so if itâs the UK, letâs do it.â  Elsewhere on the card, Justis Huni (8-0 4 KOs) made an impressive debut under the Matchroom banner, widely outpointing Andrew Tabiti (20-2 16 KOs) to win the WBA International Heavyweight title and Eduardo âSugarâ Nunez (25-1 25 KOs) extended his ominous KO streak to 25 out of 25 by blasting Oscar Escandon (27-7 16 KOs) away inside two rounds.

Meet Bikeflights Ambassador Sydney Wenger
Working a full-time career and racing mountain bikes at an elite level can be two conflicting endeavors, but Bikeflights Ambassador Sydney Wenger has found a way to make them complementary.
Sydney is a fifth grade teacher in the Roanoke, Virginia area, and sheâs found a unique way to leverage her passion outside the classroom to enhance her effectiveness inside the classroom.
âI feel that being competitive in a sport helps me connect with my students in a way most teachers cannot,â said Sydney. âMany students at this age have high hopes for their futures, and I may be one of the only adults in their life who they know striving to be the best they can be or simply even following their passion.â
Sydney grew up in Ohio in a competitive cycling family, but was focused on swimming for much of her youth. Although she spent a significant amount of time immersed in the mountain bike race scene while both of her parents raced at a high level, it wasnât until college that Sydney refocused her competitive aspirations on cycling.
âAt this point, I had been swimming for 15 years and was burnt out,â she said. âWhen looking for colleges, I was originally going to be a dual sport athlete with cycling and swimming. Then, the cycling coach saw me ride and convinced me to just join the cycling team.â
Sydney competed in mountain biking for Union College in Kentucky, and later transferred to King University in Tennessee, giving her the opportunity to expand on her cycling disciplines into cyclocross and road racing. She graduated with a degree in Early Childhood education, but not before winning a national championship at USA Cycling Mountain Bike Nationals and earning first in her age group at the Leadville Trail 100 MTB.
In 2022, Sydney got the opportunity to race in the UCI World Cup at Snowshoe, West Virginia, competing in both the Olympic cross country and short track cross country, inspiring her to commit to UCI races across the US in 2023. Her plans to compete in five states made her a great fit for Bikeflights Ambassador program as she looked for ways to simply her travel logistics.
While she earned some prideworthy results in 2023, Sydney finds the most exciting thing about her cycling career is the opportunity to find new challenges and the opportunity to share those challenges with her students.
âAfter every race weekend, good or bad, I love going back on Monday and talking about how it went. They are always so happy and excited with what I have done, no matter how I placed.â
One such new challenge that was sure to be a great story for her students was the Garage Racing National Championships back in April, a unique race taking place in an underground parking garage in Arlington, Virginia.
âIt was so much fun! Who can say they have ever been to a Garage Racing National Championships? I would say that considering I never race my road bike, I was pretty unprepared, but I did have a blast. I would love to go back next year!â
Despite having ridden her road bike exclusively on a stationary trainer during the previous two years, Sydney rolled through in fourth place.
But specific results are not the lesson Sydney brings back to her students with the stories of her race weekends.
âEven if I'm not winning races, I am still putting myself out there and showing them that you can do anything with hard work.â

Wait a minute. I just remembered that Doji mentioned leaving Ryutaroâs punishment to Reiji (but as a possibility, as Ryuga couldâve fought him as well), and I have to ask: How the hell was Ryutaro supposed to be defeated?
Ryuga, especially in Fusion, was op as hell. But Ryutaro, despite never showing much raw power, can negate pretty much any form of physical damage by just avoiding it. The first time he fought Ryuga, he was caught off guard by the reverse rotation, which interacted weirdly with the airflow. Ryutaroâs other losses were to Gingka (who created a vacuum so thereâs no air to control), and Helios (who used fire to consume all the air as fuel). When he didnât rank in the top 4 for the world championship qualifiers, Iâd be willing to bet he won all his matches, but took to long to do so (given Piscesâs very defensive style, it makes sense). Ryutaro, unless he fights very specific opponents, has no way of being defeated
Letâs start with the obvious, Reiji cannot beat Ryutaro. Not only has Ryutaro already seen Reiji battle and knows he has to avoid being hit, but avoiding all contact is already his default strategy. Reiji is extremely dangerous, but Serpent relies entirely on physical contact. Ryutaro would have to do something really stupid to lose
Ryuga is a bit different. He did beat Ryutaro. Now, he won because Ryutaro was manipulating the airflow to fight a right spin bey, but L-Drago uses reverse rotation. Once Ryutaro knows the opponentâs spin direction, that doesnât work anymore (only Julian and King could surprise him like that more than once). Ryuga straight up cannot touch Ryutaro. However, Ryuga occasionally fires energy blasts. I donât know the properties of them, or how they interact with the beys in the stadium, but I guess he could just attack Ryutaro directly like he did Hikaru
Side note: Other specific opponents that could beat Ryutaro are Julian, Zeo, King, Rago, fire users (like Zyro), reality warpers (like Damian and Faust), and vacuum users (like Jack). Julian, besides dual rotation, has the benefit of gravity being unaffected by air currents, and the same goes for Zeoâs magnetism. Wind/sound users like Yu, Tsubasa, Kyoya, and Jigsaw might beat Ryutaro but I wouldnât count on it, since their abilities would probably interact in strange ways

Karate 003 is a character who debuted in the first chapter of the Mega Man 6 manga adaptation by Shigeto Ikehara that ran in Kodansha's Comic BomBom from October 1993 to December 1994. He is a robotic martial artist who can punch and kick, use a Special Weapon called the Rocket Chop, and perform a Spin Attack similar to Top Man.
He is first seen attacking Mega Man at his home prior to the World Tournament that MM6 starts with and challenges him to a duel, likely as some form of training prior to the start of the First World Robot Championship that MM6 revolves around. Rock is hesitant, but when Karate 003 attacks his friends to goad him into a fight, Rock just blasts him in half with the Mega Buster, separating his legs from his body. Satisfied, he escapes, gets repaired, and isn't seen until the actual beginning of the tournament. He is among the many robots to challenge the eight Robot Masters under the control of Mr. X, and when he tries to use his Rocket Chop on them, Yamato Man catches him and he is killed in a combined attack by Knight, Tomahawk, and Wind Man. He doesn't appear in any other chapters.
Despite his minimal role in the manga's plot, Karate 003 would make cameo appearances in two other Mega Man manga adaptations, both published by Kodansha as well. His first cameo was in the Mega Man and Bass adaptation by Koji Izuki, where he would be among the robots under King's control at the beginning of the story. He would then appear in Hitoshi Ariga's Mega Man Megamix, cameoing in his own adaptation of MM6, dubbed "The Greatest Enemy in History".
