I've been doing a bit of folklore/urban legend research for another Night Lords lore post since people seemed to like the first one, and apparently I stopped watching Adventure Time just before this particular episode.

1530 - 1600 Criminal Accountancy (including Principles of Tax Evasion)

1600 - 1615 Colours (pupils attempt to imagine colours other than black and grey)

1615 - 1645 Beefs (the day's gang feuds are resolved)

1645 - 1700 Expulsions (underperforming pupils without sufficient underworld connections are sent to serve the VIII Legion)

On a dark and spooky night, just as Finn and Jake are heading back home after eating dinner, they experience a creepy blanked-eyed girl haunting and following them home and invading their space. “Blank Eyed Girl” premiered on this day, 9 Years Ago.

Blank-Eyed Girl: The blank-eyed girl is standing in the tree house doorway, her shadow cast on the floor in front of her and lit from behind in blue. The tree house is otherwise completely in shadow, and her face is not visible. The title is in light blue on the left in a serif font.

Belly of the Beast: Most of the title screen is taken up by a large open mouth on pale skin. Inside, we can see several trees and bushes, as well as a deer standing on the tongue. Peeking out from the back are Finn and Jake. The title is in a dramatic font above and on the mouth in pink surrounded by dark pink.

i feel like all the 'nonsense' slash "filler" (read: not plot important or emotionally important) episodes of adventure time in the later seasons get ignored, probably cuz at a certain point a lot of people stopped watching cuz they got older, and those that didnt are very invested in the plot itself.

"Blank-Eyed Girl" is one of my favorite episodes of Adventure Time, but it's also.... one of the weirdest. It's never explained what the girls were. Like, at all, as far as I'm aware, and I've rewatched AT and this episode a lot. Finn sums it up pretty well: "What.. the junk.. was that?"

A Sunday Surprise

The warm glow of a lazy night filled Fry and Leela's apartment as they sat on the couch, half-watching a cheesy and very sterotypical rom-com. Bender was out with a floozy (third time this week) and Fry and Leela took advantage of their alone time with a movie. Fry, sprawled out in his usual relaxed position, had one arm draped lovingly over Leela’s shoulders. She leaned into him, quiet but tense, as if her thoughts were somewhere far beyond the cozy living room.

Fry glanced down at her. “You’ve been kinda quiet tonight,” he said, his tone soft but curious. “Something on your mind?”

Leela stiffened slightly, then quickly smiled. “No, just… thinking.”

“About what?” Fry asked, tilting his head to meet her gaze.

She hesitated, her single eye darting toward the TV, then down to her hands, which were clasped tightly in her lap. “It’s nothing, really. I just… didn’t sleep well last night.”

Fry frowned. He could tell something was bothering her, but he didn’t want to press too hard. Instead, he decided to distract her with what he did best—being sweet in his own quirky way.

“Wanna know what I was thinking about?” he asked, a playful grin spreading across his face.

Leela glanced at him, her eyebrow arching. “What?”

“How lucky I am to have you,” he said simply, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. “Like, seriously. Out of all the one-eyed mutant ladies in the universe, you’re by far the coolest and most beautiful.”

Leela laughed softly, though the sound was tinged with nervousness. “Thanks, Fry. You’re sweet.”

“Sweet and lucky!” he declared, puffing out his chest proudly. “Now, what’s really bugging you? You know you can tell me anything, right?”

Leela sighed, her smile fading as she turned to face him fully. Her hands trembled slightly as she reached for his. Fry immediately noticed and gave her fingers a reassuring squeeze.

“Fry,” she began, her voice shaking just a little, “there’s something I’ve been meaning to tell you, but… I didn’t know how.”

Fry’s eyes widened. “Is it bad? Are you okay? Is it Bender? Did he sell another one of your ugly yet cute sweaters just to gamble in poker again?”

Leela chuckled despite herself, shaking her head. “No, it’s nothing like that. It’s…” She took a deep breath, closing her eye for a moment before looking directly at him. “I’m pregnant.”

For a second, Fry’s face was completely blank. Then his eyes grew comically wide, his mouth opening and closing as he tried to form words. “You’re… you mean… we’re gonna have a baby?”

Leela nodded, her cheeks flushing. “Yes. I found out a couple of days ago, but I wanted to wait until the right moment to tell you.”

Fry stared at her, his expression a mixture of shock, joy, and disbelief. Then, without warning, he let out a loud whoop and jumped to his feet.

“Leela, this is amazing!” he exclaimed, pulling her up into a tight hug and spinning her around. “We’re gonna be parents! I’m gonna be a dad! And you’re gonna be the best mom ever!”

Leela laughed, tears of relief and happiness streaming down her face as she clung to him. “I was so nervous about how you’d react,” she admitted. “This is a big deal, Fry. It’s not gonna be easy.”

“Nothing with us has ever been easy,” Fry said, setting her down and cupping her face in his hands. “But we’ve always figured it out together, right? This is just the next big adventure.”

Leela smiled, her heart swelling at his enthusiasm. “You really think we’re ready for this?”

Fry nodded, his eyes shining with determination. “Leela, I love you more than anything. If we can survive space pirates, killer aliens, and Bender's cooking, we can handle this.”

Leela laughed again, leaning in to kiss him softly. “I love you too, Fry.”

They spent the rest of the day curled up together, talking about the future, names for the baby, and what kind of parents they hoped to be. Fry’s excitement was contagious, and by the end of the evening, Leela felt more confident than ever that they could handle whatever challenges lay ahead.

As Fry fell asleep that night with his arms wrapped protectively around her, Leela whispered into the quiet room, “We’re gonna be okay. You’re gonna be an amazing dad.”

And in his sleep, Fry smiled.

Homestuck AU where it's Adventure Time: Day 5

Aradia is one of these mfs, The Blank-Eyed Girls (BEGs). These things are an appropriate mix of creepy, silly and adorable, just like Aradia. And yes, that is a faded drawing of a ram on her shirt.

Ok now for the weird part where I make up stuff about BEG's that also applies to Aradia here. BEG's are botanic humanoids which spend their lives causing mischief where ever they go. They are sprouted in a body that functions similarly to a human one, though with the ability to feed off of fear, which is their main food source. The BEGs we see in the show are right at the end of their life cycle, which is where their death ritual happens.

They find the living space of someone easily frightened, and use their uncanny appearance to frighten them as much as possible. At the end of their lives they begin to disassemble themselves in front of the poor soul who is to bear witness. Immediately after they reveal a layer of seeds underneath their bodies, which find the nearest exit of the living quarters and blow out in the wind to find a spot to grow. The death ritual is meant to cause as much fear as possible, as to feed the seedlings a hearty meal even before they're born.

Anyway that was basically just entirely Adventure Time fanfiction so here have a panel edit.

As you started to get older you grew more distant from your farther in an attempt to leave old childish games behind in pursuit of new things. The first time you left the celestial toyroom was a shock,you had managed to find yourself on earth. So many professionals people in suits and straight faces of misery. It exsighted you,new wonders and adventure waiting for you at every turn.

You walked a little ways down the busling street until you made it to a small woodland,you watched as people ate picnics,walked dogs,rode bike it was extatic but was not the kind of thing you where looking for,you wanted something more professional,responsible and grown up. Something that needed to be nurtured and looked after something like-"hey" you spun round as you felt a hand on your left shoulder. It was a man that was about your age in high school maybe college,he gave you a sweet smile as he stood in front of you fumbling with his fingers.

"Hey I thought that you where cute and I wanted to get your number" you looked up at him with a blank expression as you listened to his words,your face headed up as he finished talking. "......a phone,oh yes a phone! I don't have one sorry...." you said feeling let down"thats fine,maybe you wanna go to a cafe with me...right now?" He asked sweetly and you couldn't help but nod your head.

He seemed sweet and harmless and you couldn't help but seem amused. Maybe it was part off your father that had rubbed off on you,yet you couldn't help yourself in finding some sort of sick pleasure entertaining his idea of even having a chance with you.maybe this was the entertainment you where looking for.

"Yes I would love that!"you followed my though the quaint little town as he told you about himself,his name was noah and he was from around here,as you sat in the little cafe you didn't order anything as you thought it would take away from the amount of Time you had to look into his eyes,"so what brings you around" quick thing of a lie "oh I justed moved here"

He reached over the table to hold your hand that layed on the smooth surfaces of the table. "well maybe after this I can walk you home" your face grew hot was a smilr coulfnt hrlp but tug at the corners of your lips.this what going to be so much fun the idea of letting this man down was practically thrilling.

oh shit,we where interuped by a voice on the right "oh no need she still has a lot of unpacking to do" you looked up to see your farther standing there with his arms crossed and brow furrowed, "dad I was just-" this clowm is your farther?" Noah said as he side eyed your farther. You did want to justify your actions to your farther but now given noahs interruption it seems all chance you had of getting out of this unscathed where out the window.

"Dad he didn't mean it-" "y/n I suggest we go home before I do something I will regret" you lowered your head as you slid out from the booth and your farther grabbing your hand quite harshly as dragging you out.

By the time you got home your embarrassment faded into anger. You ripped you had out from your fathers grip and glare at him."who could you embarras me that like!" You yelled it from the first time in your life.he gave you a cold stair and crossed his arms not taking to kindly to your attitude."y/n you have known better then to speak to some-" before your fathers could land any insults on your choice of men you spoke up."I don't care what you think!.I am not some little girl anymore! I can't take car off myself and make my own decisions! Ans I sure as hell don't need you to help me!" His frown parked as his eye boar hole into yours.

"Don't speak to me like that young lady I am your father-" with a burst off anger you shouted "BUT YOUR NOT!" your face felt red as the pace of your chest increased. Anger filled your fathers as you yelled at him."really?" He mocked as he stalked closer "who saved you from the streets when you where a child?" Your feet moved you back slightly as he got closer.he knew he was scaring you "who fed you? Bathed you? Loved you for all your worth!?" HE started to raise his voice and tears pricked into your eyes as your back collided with a set off draws. Stinging filled your hip as you put both your hands behind you back to hold and stable yourself.

"Who put up with your childish foolish antics for years! Who made the mistake off waisting there life trying to fix the mess you become!" You slid down the draw till you where onto the floor with stars poruing down your face. You sobbed as his words cut deep. You felt all the years do insurances fill you. "ME! I took care off you! When you didn't deserve my help! My guidance!" He loosed over you his hands dictating his words.

As you sobbed feeling broke inside as he yelled at you making you feel small and scared again look you did all those years ago. His words sliced at your skin leaving bring sensations across your body as your eyes burned as stars pooled in them spilling over the edge and down your face. He sighed kneeling down to your level. "You didn't deserve my help and somtim3w you seem to forget where you stand like when you stood all alone that night I took you in"

His yelling stopped as his hand gently cupped your face as your tried to flinch away. His cold hands burned more then your tears did no your face. "But I will always remind you where you stand in this world.i do it to protected you. To build you back ul again when you break" He was right,his words broke you and he was going to make sure he would rebuild you differently this time.more depened on him. Needing more off hid time and attion like when you where a little child still killing to his leg.

"I will put you back together again and nothing will stop em from doing so.becuas I love you y/n" He took your face his both his hands as he pressed his forehead against yours. Your teary eyes buring as you whee forced to look into his eyes. You broke down in open mouth sobbed as your clung to him hiding for face in his neck. He rubbed soothing patterns on your back as he hushed your sobbs.

He would do better to make sure you would be more dependent din him this time.
