i'm going to assume you're like 16 so i'll put this nicely... cis is not a word invented on this site , that's first. secondly, it's pretty transphobic to imply that it is not ok to label cis people based on their identity vs birth assignment but it is perfectly fine to do that to transgender people.

Also, I didn’t think it was simply invented on Tumblr, but it sure seems like it is since I’ve only recently just heard it.

I’m not saying it isn’t okay to call someone cisgender that is if you know for sure that they are and they are not hurt by being considered cisgender. I was upset since I’ve only seen it used to insult other people, whether or not they are actually cisgender.

The point I was attempting to make is that I suddenly see this word being thrown around every which way that people can, and it’s not really for any of the right reasons.They are throwing it around in an attempt to hurt people than label anyone correctly.

Also, calling me transphobic is pretty funny, since I’m engaged to a transgender person and we have a very healthy relationship and are even planning to get married either this year or next year.
