Alright u asked for it *cracks knuckles* prepare for spam. I have to clean myself of bl*ckmadhi anyway, that shit physically hurts my soul but I'd rather not rant abt how much I hate it on ur blog. ANYWAY - dadquill would def not let his daughter watch just about anything. Oh no no, she only must watch true quality cartoons (coughs anime) be it dbz, pokemon or anything of the sort (actual classics come in later when shes older, like fmab for example) (1/?)

aight mod taka i’ve been waiting for all the parts to come in and i just got the last one. so let’s get on into it! im gonna break it up and take each ask that you sent in on its own, so its broken up into parts!

under the cut bc there’s a lot to digest here~ but i’m so excited to talk more about dadquill ✨😌

lets start with this first message you sent in! (tbh i had to look up what blackmadhi and i have a thing or two to say abt it myself but we’ll save my dislike for shipping for another time) but i completely agree! blackquill would totally watch anime with his kid, as long as they are kid friendly. then when his daughter is older, they’d get into the more mature ones. but blackquill is a huge weeb and totally watches anime in his spare time. so of course he wants to share one of his favorite past time with his child!

YES YES especially if his s/o like anime too. there’d be so many nights where him, his s/o, and child(ren) would chill on the couch and just watch anime for hours on end. blackquill isn’t going to let his kid have shit taste so you bet he’s going to be showing them only the BEST anime.

blackquill is such an overprotective parent that he naturally falls into the strict parent role. he’s gone through so much that he’d hate for his child to end up anything like him, or deal with any of the stuff he went through. so i could see him trying to keep his kids away from the law or the courtroom as much as possible. he hates saying no to his kids, but he does it with their best interests and so he can keep them safe. 

“The other parent s/o would dress her up in a panda onesie just because they know Simon wouldn't be able to retaliate. And thats true because the moment Simon sees his lil baby girl dressed up as a cute panda, runnin up to papa with her lil grubby hands, how could he possibly be mad at her and his s/o?? MMMMM YES! prosecutor blackquill and dad blackquill are two completely different people. dad blackquill has such a soft spot for his family and literally has the most difficult time telling his s/o and kid no. and he loves seeing his daughter in a onesie?? like he’s usually not one to take pictures but you can bet his entire phone camera roll is pics of his kid being cute. and then he goes out and buys and endless amount of outfits for his kid. (can you imagine simon checking out at a store with a bunch of baby/toddler clothes?? omfgg)

yess!!! he hates seeming sensitive or soft to anyone other than those close to him (his s/o, kid, athena). but in private he’s totally such a softie around his kid and calls them the most adorable names AHHH i feel like he rarely uses his daughter’s first name because he’s calling them cute little nicknames all the time!

i feel like simon would be the kind of dad who would let his daughter do his makeup if she asked. or have little tea parties with her?? god he would literally do anything his daughter asked if she asked him to. he would hate to not be a part of her life so anytime she asks him to do something he always says yes!! and can you imagine the amount of photos his s/o would have on her phone?? they have to have at least a hundred of simon being all cute and soft with his daughter

NOBODY WOULD DARE MESS WITH HIS FAMILY. he is not taking any shit from anyone when it comes to his family. no one has gotten away with talking shit about them. ever. lmao i can honestly imagine taka just always watching over his daughter to make sure she’s okay when simon can’t

yeah! he actively tries to be a part of his s/o and daughter’s life, and hates that he is so busy with work at times. he tries to manage his time well enough so that on weekends he’s completely free to do something with his family. it doesn’t always work out, but he tries. but i could see his daughter as being super understanding! she knows that her dad still loves her all the same, he’s just busy! but simon still never fails to at least see his daughter before going to bed, whether that be giving her a kiss on the forehead or reading her a story if she’s still awake by the time he gets home!

“The fact this big scary man has a sweet lil daughter barely the height of his legs? My favourite fuckin trope. Imagine him comin to pick her up from kindergarten and a lady is CONVINCED to the core that this is some shady kidnapper or smtin, until the daughter upon seeing him shouts "Daddy!" and runs up to him just to be scooped up in a loving embrace. LMAO I LOVE IT TOO!! plus its nice to think that simon gets to have an actually happy life after everything he’s been through with the UR-1 incident and whatnot. but omfg simon going to pick up his daughter?? chaos. the first couple times he went the people didnt believe him so they had to call his s/o to confirm that yes, his big stoic cold man is in fact her dad.

simon never expected to be a father, and was honestly quite nervous to become one. but goddamn, hes so good at it?? i feel like he’s just naturally a very caring and good father and everything about parenting comes relatively naturally to him. he lives for all aspects of it: the little drawings and notes his daughter leaves him, the “best dad” shirts (someone please draw that i stg i will cry) and just getting to see his daughter every day. he feels genuinely happy with his life for the first time in a while.

-Legal Partners and The Marriage Bed-legal partners is iconic, #1 wrightworth fic of all time it’s on everyone’s fic rec list and for good reason its a must read along with its shorter sequel the marriage bed which is nsfw btw -School Daze-Phoenix and Edgeworth are teachers at a middle school and Phoenix is also a single father. this fic is so incredible it actually made me nostalgic. for middle school -The Phantom’s Curse-PIRATE AU! god it’s SO GOOD when you read it you really feel like you’re going on a real adventure -Legally Wright-it’s legally blonde but starring phoenix wright and that’s all i need. very funny -Fire in Snow-fantasy AU, very high fantasy and magical to read, like it comes right out of storybook. it’s written by the same author as legal partners -How to Court A Fool in Under Three Months-edgeworth has a 3 month deadline to confess his feelings before trucy sets phoenix up with someone i!!! ADORE this fic! it actually made me cry because it’s so perfect -Keep Your Promises-wrightworth fic featuring a sort of proposal? it’s so cute and sweet do yourself a favor and check it out -Without Wings-one of the more angsty entries on this list where both Edgeworth and Phoenix were adopted and hurt by von Karma, featuring mute!phoenix. it really goes places few others have gone and since everything’s so sad it feels great when things get better -The Wedding Planner-popular and adorable AU where Edgeworth is a wedding planner and Phoenix is a baker it’s an endearing original fic with a unique charm to it -Losses and Victories-very character-study heavy it’s incredibly written with a pitch perfect in character relationship -A Fool in Love (With You)-wrightworth wedding fic!!! because i am W EAK! everything is happy and sweet -A Turnabout Toast-Larry has his life together and challenges Phoenix and Edgeworth to get theirs together which leads them to getting together and it’s lovely just read it -To Turn The Titanic- actually a series, so you’re getting three great fics in a bundle here. it’s some grade A introspective wrightworth with a realistic portrayal of edgeworth getting used to a relationship (second entry into the series involves some making out that’s nsfwish?) -Of Fake Fairytales and Faux Amour-it’s a crowd-pleaser fake dating fic that’s slow-burn and funny. unfortunately it’s unfinished

-A Series of Accidents-rare pair WIP fic for Gregory and Misty making it one of the only kind out there!! i adore it bc its dialogue is quippy and fun to read and the characters and their dynamic is singularly charming -the greatest magic trick of all time-8 year old Trucy and Edgeworth bonding it’s cute and Trucy’s perspective is written amazingly -Hot for Justice-klapollo fic Klavier and Apollo help each other out their chemistry is great and i love the idea of Klavier getting musical inspiration from his bf -Lex Talionis-BETTER WRITTEN THAN CANON I S2G it’s a fic that actually bothers to turn Kristoph into a human not a woobie or anything just they give him motivations and flesh him out more than capcom bothered to just trust me this whole fic is bittersweet and genius -Archaeology-a lot of series characters clean up Mia’s old office and reflect. this fic’ll make you feel things about the whole series. it’s a masterpiece -Avatar Book 1: Rapid Fire-the last airbender AU where Phoenix is the avatar it’s cute and funny and i love how it neatly balances out a large group of characters -Dementia-major angst as it depicts a heart-breakingly realistic scenario of Edgeworth suffering from dementia it’s tragic and beautiful like seriously this might make you cry -Four Creamers and Two Sugar Packets-franmaya coffee shop AU it’s great to watch Franziska develop. it’s a story as sweet as its title -Real Magic-harry potter AU where Trucy goes to hogwarts after her dad’s wand has been broken and she has to deal with that. it’s tons of fun just to watch her go through daily life and make friends -Dearest Journal-World War II franmaya AU where Franziska is sent off to work on maya’s farm to stay safe during the blitz. gives Franziska a very unique and fitting voice -Fool's Errand-Larry takes Franziska out, platonically and they spend the day together i know it’s a peculiar pair but hear me out it’s actually  authentic and written very cleverly/funnily -A Match Made in Neo-Olde Tokyo-speaking of weird pairs this is Maya and Blackquill romantic fic obviously a rare pair but this fic is a gem that makes it work and makes me ship it -A Wrench in the Works-Aura goes back in time to try and save Metis. cykesquill (the older lesbian kind) featured. it’s heart-rending -Memory-Edgeworth is reminded of a younger Franziska via Rayfa very short but very genuine -Crossfire-Datz/Dhurke and the story of how Dhurke had to get that eye patch so like, obviously warning for some violence there. i love dhurke and datz and it made so much sense within canon it also made me hurt. -Accidentals-Blackmadhi orchestra AU i love band/orchestra AUs and what i love most about this fic is that it does a great job of characterizing Blackquill and Nahyuta through their different playing styles it’s so fitting   -Lyricless Lament-5+1 style fic where Sebastian gets love that he needs. Focuses heavily on similarities and building a relationship (not explicitly romantic, could be viewed that way) between Sebastian and Klavier. AAI2 spoilers -'Debeste' Prosecutor for the Magician Who's Always 'Wright'-also AAI2 spoilers Sebastian finds a friend in 8 year old Trucy who helps him heal the two make for an adorable pair

Omgthis is amazing tysm I mean they are all eventually going to be relatives so itmakes sense that they all hang out (also brother-in-laws Simon and Apollo I can’tget over it I love this conception so much).

ALSO I’M NOT SURE IF THIS IS WHAT YOU HAD IN MIND but I tried aha I’m not as good on Klapollo characterization so please forgive my mistakes.

AlthoughSimon would admit that he considered Klavier a friend, spending an entire planeride with him from Los Angeles to Khura’in was not something he really had any desire to experience.  Especially not after their first trip –somehow, they both had received time off at the same time, and decided to visittheir boyfriends over in Khura’in together. (Or rather, Klavier had bought them both tickets and just assumed thatSimon would want to come along…and to Simon’s chagrin the rock star wascompletely correct.)  Klavier had yet togo to Khura’in yet – he had seen Apollo when the attorney came here, but hewasn’t able to go visit until now.

Inother words: Klavier spent way too many hours of their plane ride justfidgeting and gushing about how excited he was to see his ‘Herr Forehead’ andasking Simon questions about the local culture…as if Simon was an expert eventhough he had been there not too many times himself.  Simon tried to answer him as best as possibleall while maintaining an air of annoyance…though occasionally he would crack ajoke at Klavier’s expense.  Not that hisfellow prosecutor would catch it – he was too excited.

Itwas a bit heartwarming in its own right…when Simon would think about it afterKlavier finally slept for a time.

Klavierbeing asleep also allowed him to think about seeing Nahyuta.

Whenthey landed, Simon was given priority since he was the king-regent’s personalspecial guest, and Klavier was able to ride his coattails.  While he was used to the rock star treatment,this was on a whole different level – guards personally escorting the two ofthem, carrying their luggage, making crowds disperse to clear the way for theking-regent’s “consort.”  

Klavierjoked about how Simon now was a bigger rock star than he was, even if it wasonly here in Khura’in.  

Finallythey saw the reasons why they had come here: Nahyuta and Apollo were bothwaiting for them by a royal car.  Klavierdidn’t hesitate – he practically sprintedover to his Herr Forehead and embraced him so tightly that Simon thought Apollo’seyes would pop out of his head.  Simon,on the other hand, walked up to Nahyuta with a pace that was only slightlyfaster than normal – the guards wouldn’t be happy with him sprinting over toNahyuta like that, and well…he had more self-control than Klavier (or so heliked to think, anyway).  

Thoughwhen he did reach Nahyuta, the monk pulled him into a hug that was close andintimate; Simon missed his boyfriend’s scent and breathed it in deeply beforekissing his lips rather passionately despite the setting.  

Whenthey (and the other pair) separated, Simon greeted Apollo with a polite “Justice-dono,”and could tell that Apollo was stillsomewhat intimidated by him.  Good.  Klavier called Nahyuta “Herr Sahdmadhi” andtold him that it was nice to see him again, to which Nahyuta responded with acourteous welcoming to Khura’in.  

Theypiled into the car, easily all fitting in the back.

“Ihave placed reservations for us at a local restaurant for dinner,” Nahyutainformed them.  Judging by Apollo’sexpression, this was the first he had heard of it.

“Rightnow?  But…”  Apollo trailed off a bit, leaving theobjection unexplained…but Simon knew what it was.  Because he had the same objection: getting laid was not going to be possible if theywere all going out to eat.  But Nahyutajust put his hand up and closed his eyes, meaning that he was about tobasically tell them that they had no choice.

“Ourguests have had a long flight, Apollo.  I’msure they’re hungry and need their energy.” The look Nahyuta then flashed Simon made him blush a little – he knewexactly what Nahyuta wanted the energy to do.

Eventhough Klavier was also eager forsome alone time with Apollo, he was smiling, obviously being overly polite tohis boyfriend’s royal brother. Smart.  Unlike Simon, Klaviercouldn’t afford to be a sarcastic asshole. Not that he was anything likethat…Klavier was the nicest person intheir office after all (though you wouldn’t hear Simon say that out loud).  It was just that he couldn’t afford to beanything but that right now.

Whenthey arrived at the restaurant, Simon took mental notice of the fact that itwas a Japanese-themed place that they had gone to once before; at the time,Simon had been excited to find a Japanese place and had enjoyed the foodimmensely.  When he looked over atNahyuta, the monk was smiling at him in that sly knowing sort of way.  

Nahyutahad reserved a private room for the four of them, and they were led through slidingdoors to their table.  The couples satacross from each other, and Simon rolled his eyes at Klavier’s sickeninglysweet smile that he had directed at Apollo.

“So,”Nahyuta began once the waiter served them all some sake.  “To reunions. May the Holy Mother bless us with more of them.”  He then said a prayer; Simon noticed thatKlavier sat up straighter during it. Yeesh, he really wanted to suck up to Nahyuta, didn’t he?

Dinneritself was delicious but largely uneventful; Klavier tried to engage Nahyuta insome discussion about what he was doing and Nahyuta rambled on about some Khura’inesepolitics that really…none of them save perhaps Apollo really cared about.

“You’reboring everyone, Sad Monk,” Simon finally said when he felt that Nahyuta’sspeech had gone on for too long.  Nahyutaturned and smiled, though it was clear from his eyes that he wasn’t exactlypleased with being cut off.  

“HerrBlackquill, speak for yourself,” Klavier said, taking hold of Apollo’shand.  “I found Herr Sahdmadhi’s story tobe quite interesting, actually.”

“Please,Klavier,” Simon replied while rolling his eyes. His use of Klavier’s first name did not go unnoticed by Nahyuta; sincewhen was Simon close enough to Klavier to be on a first-name basis withhim?  “You don’t need to suck up so much to his majesty over here.  Frankly, it makes you seem desperate.”

“I’vetold you before that isn’t my title, Panda.” Nahyuta’s smile finally fell and Simon considered it a smallvictory.  He couldn’t deal with all theStepford faces anymore.

“Whatis your title, Herr Sahdmadhi?”  Klavier was obviously trying to bring theconversation back to his boyfriend’s brother.

“Hisgraceful merciful elegant excellency,” Simon chimed in before Nahyuta couldeven open his mouth.  Luckily, hissarcastic answer earned a laugh from Apollo; Nahyuta looked at the man as if hehad betrayed him somehow.  

“What?”  Apollo shrugged and gave a toothy grin.  “You know I can never remember it myself.”

“Itshouldn’t be that difficult to remember, Apollo.  It is one word.”

“Well,technically two, if you count the ‘your’,” Apollo mumbled.  And thatearned a laugh from Klavier.

“Isee my Panda’s sense of sarcasm is infectious,” Nahyuta said with a deadpantone.

“Ohlike you’re not sarcastic,” Simonresponded.  “Please, this whole regal façadeof yours is old and fake, and frankly…scaring Gavin-dono here.”  He didn’t wait for Klavier’s inevitableobjection.  “I say we order more sake andactually enjoy ourselves.”

Unbeknownstto Simon (or anyone), Klavier was very grateful to him for making the airslightly less…formal.  It felt stuffy andawkward.  

A fewrounds of sake later and Klavier was singing with a drunk Nahyuta and standingon the table while Apollo and Simon sat on the ground watching their boyfriendsact ridiculously with one another.

“Well,”Apollo said at one point.  “At least theyseem to like each other.”

“I’dwait until tomorrow for the judgments, Justice-dono.”  After all, they were all probably going tohave terrible hangovers at this rate.
